EA1 Connection in Worksheet Tab

Hi,
when I change the connection of a worksheet using the pull down menu on the upper right side of the screen, the connection description in the worksheet tab will not be changed and I think that the new connection is also not established correctly.

Re-name worksheet tabs from cell contents?

Is is possible to re-name worksheet tabs automatically from cell contents in another sheet within the same workbook?
I have a workbook with 30 sheets all feeding data into sheet 31 - the Master Worksheet where all the data is collated etc.
There are occasions when I'll need to rename the individual sheets, but is there a way to change this in my 'master worksheet' without having to go back and individually re-name all the other sheets?

At this time there is no way to do what you want. If you can formulate a clear feature request you can post your idea to Apple using the menu item "Numbers > Provide Numbers Feedback".
There is a way, however, to use a function called indirect() that can take input from a table to construct a cell reference. Not know your specific setup it is hard to provide a specific suggestion.

Clicking worksheet tabs cause "evDRE: Validating EVDRE" action

BPC 5.1 SP3
I have a workbook with two worksheets--each contains one evDRE. Can anyone explain why when I click on any of the two worksheet tabs, some sort of refresh action is triggered? For example, while on worksheet A, I click on worksheet B's tab and notice a slight lag and the status bar displays "evDRE: Validating EVDRE".
I can't replicate the issue using a new, blank workbook. The "Refresh by Sheet" eTools workbook option is not enabled, but it seems like that's the behavior I'm noticing.
UPDATE:
Figured it out. This behavior appears to be caused whenever using the "worksheet dimension locks" option. I was able to replicate it using a new, blank workbook. Create one evDRE on each of two worksheets. Enable the "worksheet dimension locks" on each worksheet. Now, clicking on either worksheet triggers some sort of refresh/update action.

EA1 - Blank SQL Worksheet

Hello.
MY OS is Win 7 Enterprise 64-bit. I've just installed SQL Developer 4 EA1. I have also installed JDK 1.7.25. 64-Bit, just today. When I open a sql file in EA1, I see the test of the file and I can run the SQL with no issue. However, if I leave that SQL file open, close EA1 and then reopen it, the file window is blank. I see the name of the file in the tab, but the area where the text should be is blank.

Thanks for reporting this for 4.0EA1. I logged a bug titled: 4.0EA1: SQL FILE TAB IS BLANK (NO TOOLBAR, ETC) AFTER SQL DEV REOPENED
Please also note that upon reopening the product, the tab contains no toolbar, connection drop-down box, worksheet or history areas either. One workaround is to click on the Start Page tab, then click back on the SQL file tab -- it repaints with all the expected text and artifacts.

SQL DEVELOPER 3 EA1 - Missing Left / Right tab scroll icons

On the left pane that has the Connections, Reports tabs, once a few schema browsers are added (2 for example), there is no way to scroll left and right on the tabs using Left/Right buttons. The right pane that has the SQL worksheets get those arrows once more tabs are added then can fit the window.

I already have a bug logged for the text on the tabs not being visible if you have 3 or more tabs open in the navigator. As noted, you can drag these tabs to create separate new navigators, which may be considered to be a work around, but does mean you can see your tab headings. The extra options and navigators do mean that this is more noticeable now. I have raised the priority of the bug.
Ctrl+tab will allow you to navigate through the tabs.

Bug 3.2.09: Open a connection via Worksheet Icon Alt-F10 forget selcted

Hi,
we had this issue from 1.5 to 2.1 EA1. After creating a new worksheet via Alt-F10 the last selected connection is not saved anymore - as it used to be - so for subsequent openings the connection has to be selected again and again.

7.0.1 wont connect using multipule tabs

Running about 7 tabs open at startup, this has always worked fine, here is the problem and the sequence of events leading up to hope. Any suggestions would be appreciated:
Background:
Mozilla updated me to 7.0 automatically a few days ago, no problems
Yesterday they auto updated me to 7.0.1, now it won't connect
Scaled back to 3 tabs at start now it connects but after a minute of so, the icon in the tabs just spinning and it isn't connected
Scaled back to one tab the same thing
Reinstalled Firefox, disabled the Norton firewall to test, same thing
Checked the application setting on the firewall, it is set to allow or auto
I downloaded Firefox 8 beta same issue
Any suggestions would be appreciated, not sure it is foxfire or not but the upgrade to 7.0.1 started
Anyway to go back to a pre 7 release?
BTW IE 8 works fine.

Remote connection, open new tab

Hi,
I'm a long time Linux user and recently switched to a Mac at work. Everything is going well except for one thing. I'm trying to avoid retraining muscle memory and also trying to avoid potentially millions of keystrokes per year.
My problem is that I cannot find a way to open a remote connect in a new terminal tab. My workaround is to open a new tab and issue the ssh command. You see here that over time the extra keystrokes required will be HUGE, especially considering that some of the hosts that I ssh to have names like server.businessunit.location.network.domain.
So, am I missing something? Is there a way to open a remote connection in a new tab by simply clicking a couple of times similar to how it would be done in gnome-terminal? If there isn't, I'd like to request that functioanlity.

Another option is to use iTerm <http://iterm.sourceforge.net>
It allows you to maintain a bookmark list of systems where each one can have its own ssh command for making the connection.
You can also bind a hotkey to a given bookmark (cmd-ctrl-letter) and create a new tabbed session, that then ssh's into the remote system.
Some people like iTerm. Some do not. If you find it interesting, play with the fonts, play with the options, and see if it will work for you.
But if you still want to stay with Terminal, you can also do something like:
open -a Terminal ssh://[email protected]
This can be run from from a terminal session, it can be run via an Applications -> Automator -> Run Shell Script workflow saved as a double clickable application. Or you could write an Applescript to run the command. Or you can get Platypus (free download) to turn any script into a double-clickable appliation.
The downside is that this appears to create a new Terminal window, and not a new tab.

I can not connect my samsung tab s tablet with ADE on my computer with a usb cable(.No connextion)

to my samsung tablet to( Play Books App) if i connect a usb cable nothing hapens. If i connect my old tablet then there

Try going to system preferences>displays with evrything connected. You should see 2 windows "stacked" click detect display, then click the window in the back and it should show your monitor. Click mirror display.

Firefox quit working, reinstalled several times, only get spinning "connecting" word on tab.

Today Firefox quit working. I've cleared cache, flushed DNS, reinstalled about 3 times and each time after installing I keep getting the spinning wheel with "connecting".......but nothing happens. Is there any way I can get some help with this?

EA2 - EA1 - Connection interface is unavailable

1) Create a connection
The action on File->New->Database connections->NOTHING ( the window is closed without an action).
2) I had the same problem on EA1 after deleting of an existing connection
3) I've just reinstalled JVM, JDK and EA2 with the same results.
4) Several menu are misplaced (for example "source")

Reinstalled :
1) Deleted the old sql Developer folder
2) Deleted all the previous settings folder
3) New Unzip ot the latest EA2 in a different folder
Result : it's OK .
This solve the issue in the EA2 new installation, but that was done to get around the same problem I had on EA1 after deleting a connection.
I worked on EA1 for several days without connection problems until I deleted my connection!
But now I've already deleted EA1 and I can't show you anything on the console related to that issue.
Anyway, now I'm on my way again and I'll use your instructions next time I'll have an error like the one I've had in EA1 this morning.

Wireless printer wont connect to samsung tab

Just downloaded the all in one app for a samsung galaxy tab3. The printer is a officejet 6500. Ive connected the printer to wifi but the tab wont connect to the printer. It showsnits found it, but says unavailable. Any ideas? Thanks

What is the exact printer model?
If it is the HP Officejet 6500 (e709) printer, I afraid it only support printing via the HP ePrint app, the printer is not supported for the HP All-In-One Remote app:

Fully loaded webpage, still says connecting.. in tab bar, why?

I have loaded the webpage, it doesn't show any "Transferring data from xx.xx.com..." but still "Connecting..." in the tab bar.
It happens on every webpage.

Try disabling TabRenamizer if you have it, that fixed mine.
