EA6300 - Unable to login locally - "Password incorrect"
I had a problem when I knew my password for sure but was unable to login locally to router. It was kept saying that passowrd is incorrect, try again. I tried to log using http and Google Chrome, since it was working fine when I initially setup it, year ago. I thought my router was hacked so I did hardware reset but this didn't help, I was still unable to log with "admin" password.
The root cause of problem is a browser, when I get FireFox, everything started to work fine again. I was able to get into Admin web-console and re-setup router again. Just for records -- MSIE is also not supported browser.
I have resolved issue, and writing this just because this might be useful for someone else.
PC 3rd Party Security Software Configurations
Turn off all anti virus and firewall programs on the PC while testing. 3rd party firewalls are not generally needed when using routers as they are effective on blocking malicious inbound traffic.
Turn off all devices accept for one wired LAN PC while testing.
Disable any downloading client software managers, i.e. Torrents or similar.
PC Web Browser Configurations
MSIE is supported on this router. If IE 8, 9, 10 or 11, set compatibility mode and test again.
Disable any security browser Add-ons like No Script and Ad-Block or configure them to allow All Pages when connected to the router.
Clear all browser caches.
Be sure to log into the Admin account on the router.
Try turning off these features in Chrome:
Top right corner, little bars for options > Settings > Settings (on left) > Show advanced settings.
Uncheck these:
Use a web service to help resolve navigation errors
Use a prediction service to help complete searches and URLs typed in the address bar
Predict network actions to improve page load performance
Enable phishing and malware protection

Several months I've been trying to solve a problem with VMWare Server Remote Console 2.0
When I try to open the remote console of any machine I have I get the following error:

Just a guess, but I think it has something to do with computers not being on a domain. I'm logged into my local Windows 7 system using the same username/password as my domain user, and I connect to network resources using that. To spite the fact that my computer is not on the doman, I can see in the VMWare status window that it's using DOMAIN\user instead of just the user to start the VM. Perhaps when the VMWare services auto-start the domain hasn't been authenticated to yet, hence the account is not valid.

Today I stumbled upon an issue in VMWare Server 2.0 problem today on a client’s server. I could log into the web administration console of VMWare Server, and I could manage the VMs from there without a problem.
The issue came when I tried to open the console window on one of the VMs from within the VMWare admin console. The Console window opened, but after a few moments I saw: “Unable to connect to the MKS: Login (username/password) incorrect”
I tried creating a desktop shortcut for the VM (from the VM’s summary pane), but still ran into the same problem.
Shortly after unsuccessfully googling the error, I discovered the solution myself. I simply restarted the following Services:
– VMWare Authorization Service
– VMWare Server Web Access
(In the process it restarts another one or two services, but does not interrupt any active VMs).
After the service restart, the VM console windows opened without any problems. -
I just tried to set up an iChat account and I set up an AOL account and I got my address ([email protected]). Then when I go onto iChat, and try to change my status to online, it asks me basically to log in. Then I enter my information correctly and it comes up with a message saying "iChat can't log in to AOL Instant Messenger because your login ID or password is incorrect." (Just to clarify, I used my '[email protected]' for my Login ID and my password that I set up with it.) I know for a fact this information is indeed incorrect and I really don't know what to do.
I looked around on some other discussions and some said your password must be less than 16 characters, which mine is, but it was also form a few years back. I just got this brand new MacBook Pro(I guess it's the most up-to-date software and system things...I don't know how to find out that) a few days ago and I don't really understand all the complicated 'lingo', if you will. A Googlemail name can be used in iChat but not to link to AIM buddies or as a valid AIM name just because it is also used for an Apple ID as well.
You will have to enter it in the Accounts section of the Preferences.
The Googlemail ID need you to have Enabled the Talk option on your Goolge account Settings.

Unable to login to password protected sites
Using Safari Version 3.0.4 (5523.10.6) I am unable to log-in to password protected sites like Facebook, Yahoo Mail and Google Mail. Each attempt directs me back to the log-in page for these sites.
The only way to gain access, is to quit Safari and re-launch.
Has anyone else had/seen similar problems with Safari..?anyone? pls...

Unable to login Windows Server 2012 after making local policy changes
Experts, we have modified the local policy setting on the windows server 2012 and badly it was domain controller now none of the users are able to login to the server. After entering the user name and password it will launch till welcome screen then it errors
out saying user name or password incorrect. below are the steps which we followed
1. Policy setting is located in Computer Configuration\Security Settings\Local Policies\Security Options \Network security: Configure encryption types allowed for Kerberos values change from Not Configured to DES_CBC_MD5
2. changed user attribute msDS-SupprtdEncryptionTypes to 2 , this account we were used for kerberos authentication.
3. Logged off from the server and then server doesn't allow any user to login.

JakkHave you tried connecting to the server from a 2nd DC? Have you tried installing the RSAT tools on a domain member server and modify the offending policy ?
last choice would be restart the DC into safe mode. -
I am unable to login to iTune. It states that my ID orpassword is incorrect. However i am able to log into my iTunes settings and apple ID "manage my account" settings.

First of all, can you use that Name you created to Login on this page ? (see top right)
It will whizz your off to a sign in page but will come back to this page and show your Screen Name.
Have you allowed iChat through the Mac Firewall If you have the Firewall On
System Preferences > Security > Firewall (If ON then the Advanced Button > Allow Signed Apps and add iChat to the list).
So, with iChat you opened it and it took you through the Start Up Screens.
You chose AIM and entered the Screen Name you created and added the password.
You clicked the rest of the Continue Buttons until you got to the Done Button and iChat opened fully showing you a Buddy List that will not Login
Lets check iChat itself.
Open iChat and go to the iChat Menu > Preferences > Accounts
You will list the account you created an Bonjour (It is always there)
If you highlight (one click) the AIM Account the Panel on the right should be at the Account info one
Double check there is no typo (I know you said you are sure it is correct)
Now go to the Applications/Utilities folder and open Keychain Access.
In the lower Left panel select Passwords.
In the list on the right find your AIM entry.
Double Click it to bring up the Info panel
Near the bottom fill in the Check Box to Show Password
This will bring up a Dialogue box
Enter your Mac User Password and then click the Allow Once button
The Password for the AIM login should now appear.
Is It Correct ?
Edit and Save if not.
If you did something else or if the Name is an AIM valid one but was not registered at AIM such as an @mac.com or MobileMe name then post back with more details.

Unable to login with my ID and password
Hi guys need help. I am unable to download any App as i am getting an error while logging to my account with the username and password. I tried logging into the website from my laptop i was able to. Pls help, i am unable to download anything that requires username and pass.
The error i am getting is "Unable to login to your Blackberry ID account".

Unable to login to ePrint Center. It says I'm using the wrong password.
When I try to use "Forgot Password", it rejects my email address. I give up.The issue you're experiencing is most likely due to an old Snapfish account registered under your email address. ePrintCenter and Snapfish account information is stored in the same place and I've seen this conflict before. You will need to go to http://www.snapfish.com/snapfish/welcome, click the "Sign In" in the top right hand corner of the page and then click the "forgot password" link and enter the email address that is causing your problems, you should receive an email from Snapfish that will let you create a new password there. Once you've created a new password for Snapfish, try to Sign In on ePrintCenter (http://www.eprintcenter.com/) using your email address and the new password you created for Snapfish.

Are you sure the settings are correct? Did you check the outgoing mail server setting? Make sure that your username and password are in there.
Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>Your email account>Account>Outgoing mail server - tap the server name next to SMTP and check in the primary server and make sure your username and password are entered and correct - even if it says that the password is optional. -

we have one user who unable to login to owa with error -"The user name or password that you entered is not valid. Try entering it again."
we checked mailbox feature in EMC and owa is enable
checked adsiedit - looks good
we checked allow inheritance - checked
we reset the password and try to login to owa from exchange server , no luck
user can login to her computer and outlook without any issue
we also moved her mailbox to another server
user facing the same issue from office and VPN
any suggestion ?

App Store Login Apple ID Not Found/Password Incorrect?
So every time I go to install an application, I enter my password and I get this error:
"The Apple ID or AOL screen name you entered couldn't be found or
your password was incorrect. Please try again"
So I then go to iTunes on my Mac, click on "Account" in the iTunes store, and I get the exact same error. I'm 100% positive I'm entering the correct password.
I click "Forgot Password" and then reset it back to what it is EXACTLY, and everything is fine, until the next day.
The password will work on anything else (mail, apple.com login, etc.) just not anything to do with the iTunes store.
Why do I have to reset my password every day!?I have been dealing with the exact same problem. Trying to access my account (in iTunes, or the myinfo site, or ESPECIALLY from the AppStore app on my 3G iPhone) results in the standard "account doesn't exist or password incorrect" error. Occasionally I get the "account disabled for security reasons" error. I assume this is because sometimes while frustratedly trying to use my account I exceed the max # of failed login attempts and Apple locks the account.
The only workaround (which is no workaround at all) is to do as you have: reset my password every few hours. I experimented with checking the interval before the password is mysteriously invalidated - it seems to be between 3-4 hours after a last successful login (I don't know if this is an absolute interval, i.e. your password is invalidated after this time period regardless of your successful login activity or if there has to be a period of inactivity to trigger the password invalidation).
I talked with phone support and after the usual reset-your-password flowchart walk-through was directed to the iTunes email support page. Typed in my problem details and 72 hours after the absolutely guaranteed reply time of 24 hours have yet to receive any reply. -

Granddaugter received new I Pad Air from school, appears to have put a password incorrectly into the system and can't remember the word. Now lock out. Is there a way of over coming this problem.
Nothing you can do. The School will have to restore it and input their Apple ID and password to unlock it.
If you restore it, you'll engage Activation lock and unless you know the password for the associated Apple Id you won't be able to do anything else.
