i have an old apple id coming up on my iphone. i do not have a valid password and every attempt to reset it either by email or by questions does not work. When i select email to reset i do not receive an email in any of my mail boxes. when i select ask questions - my answers do not match

If you're talking about an old iCloud ID, you have to delete the old account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iPhone, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use.  If you don't know the password for your old ID, or if it isn't accepted, go to https//appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Tap edit next to the primary email account, tap Edit, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address.  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Next, go back to https//appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was.  Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

  • I just bought a new iMAC. I want to change the password, but the system is not accepting any old passwords.  How do I reset this, so that I can set a password?

I just bought a new iMAC.  I want to set a password.  But, the system seems to think I already have one set, and I don't know what it is.  How do I reset this feature, so that I can set a password, without knowing the current password?

Have you yet, during setting up the new iMac, transferred old data and settings from an external hard drive or another computer?  If so, then your computer obtained its current set Password from that tranfer, so you would have to determine what that Password was in the old system.  If you have Not transferred any information that way, then the installation and/or setup seem to have corrupted somehow since it hasn't yet received a new system Password selection from you.
At this point, if you can, you can reboot while holding down the Command - R keys to boot into the Mountain Lion Recovery Partition.  There you can select to "Reinstall Mountain Lion from the Internet".  This will overwrite your current installation and any problems that have occured and give you a fresh install that hopefullywill allow you to set up without problems.

  • I am in my login screen, I do not remember my administrator password, and I want to reset the password. What do I do?

I have a macbook air and I am stuck in the login menu.  I do not remember the main account's password.  I am fine with resetting it but in order to do that, I know you have to turn it off.  When I press the "shut down" icon, it says I have to enter the administrator name and password and then i can shut it down.  Well yeah, I cannot remember my administrator name or password.. What the **** do I do??

  • What is the default password on Pet Store 1.3 when rebuilt?

I am unable to log into either the administrator client or the receiver application after rebuilding the WebLogic Server Pet Store Application. Neither jps_admin/admin nor rsvr/rcvr works. I saw a post referencing security.xml, but that file does not appear to be in this package
The default passwords worked when I used just the Pet Store template and prebuilt application, but the admin client would wait forever trying to get data, even when the client was ran from the same box as the server.
I am running WebLogic Server/Express 7.0 with SP7 for RHEL on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4, Update 3 x86.
What should the default login names be? Or even better, if someone has seen the admin client unable to get data, how do you solve that?

On my painfully new 11.1.2 install, and per the install instructions, the username and password are as follows:
    epm_admin
whatever you set up -- (As I only ever use one of three different ones when I do installs, it wasn't too hard to go through all of the possibilities)
    See: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E17236_01/epm.1112/epm_install/frameset.htm?webLogicDomainName.html

  • What is the default password in iphone4 for restoring factory settings

how can i reset my iphone4..... can i know the default password in iphone4 for restoring factory settings

kiran666, iOS devices will ask for a password if either you have set a screen-lock password OR you or your parents have set a restriction password. If you cannot get this password, and you have "find my iphone" turned on, use the "whip" option. It will reset to it's factory settings. If you do not, I suggest you do what KiltedTim suggested and put your iPhone in DFU mode or restore mode by simply holding home and power until the restore icon appears on the phone and restore using iTunes.

Try making a new Apple ID? I don't really understand what you mean.. Make a new apple ID, log in with that one and then when you are on your phone log out of it and THEN log in our old ID? If you still can't log in the old one then it's most probably a bug or something.. Anyway.. Good luck with your problem!!

  • Why is the password box jiggling and not accepting my correct password?

I just bought the macbook air and was running setup. The registration failed, as well as the migration from my other iMac, however setup continued. When it was finished, the macbook air restarted and began with my profile and asked for my password. I know I typed it in correctly and that it is the correct password, but all that happens in the password box jiggles and it won't accept my password to log me in.
Help! How do I get around this? I'm unable to just reinstall everything to start over because no software came with the macbook air.
I haven't been able to even use the macbook air yet and am tempted to return it if I can't even get in.

  • Don't know the DEFAULT password of Developer Suite database 10g

After i install Oracle10gR2 i have one database sit on my hard drive already.
But then i install the Development suite 10g they install one more database for me...
The second i don't have option to set the password or account during the installation...
So i just cannot get in the DevSuiteHome1 database... i don't have password of the sys or system account....cause i don't even have chance to set it.
Does anyone here know what's the default password of sys or system account?
(P.S. the SYS/CHANGE_ON_INSTALL or SYSTEM/MANAGER all doesn't work at all)
If anyone can tell how to use the 10g forms builder connect to the OraDb10g_home1 database rather than the DevSuiteHome1's one also great!
Please help cause i need it to do my uni assignment...

    Fishingguy,
Forms doesn't install it's own database during install of 10g iDS. So that's your problem. You can't connect to a database that isn't there. What you can do is connect to the other database you already have configured. You'll need to update the tnsnames.ora file in your DevSuiteHome1 Oracle Home. It is located in the network/admin directory under that Oracle home.
If you're not sure how to set this up, you'll need to either manaully enter the info from your database tnsnames.ora file. A lot of times, you can just copy the contents of the file over from the database side to the DevSuiteHome1 side. Back up the other one though just in case your situation is different.
If you want to use a GUI, you can use the Net Configuration Assistant tool for the DevSuiteHome1 Oracle Home. It works well if you know the specifics of your setup like hostname, database listener port, etc. Forms will make a SQL*Net connection to your database.
Ping us if you need more help configuring this.
    Cordially,
    Steve

  • Changing the default password when configuring.

    Hi,
can anyone tell me how to change the default password and username when you are first configuring your router?  You know when you go to http://192.168.1.1/?
I know the default password is admin and there is no user name but I would like to change that so that not just anyone who knows the default password can see the wep incryption I have in place.  Please can someone help?

    What router are you using?
On most Linksys routers, you cannot change the User Name.  You must leave it blank.
To change the Password, login to the router, and go to the "Administration" tab.  You should find the Password somewhere nearby.
