EA6500 & Cloud Connect Setup Issue

Hey Ladies and Gentlemen:
I need your assistance.  I have a weird problem and maybe you can throw some pointers my way.  I purchased an EA6500 yesterday to replace my EA4500 on home network.  I used cloud connect with NO issues on my EA4500.  When I got home, removed the EA4500 in my network and installed the EA6500.  I go through the usual beginning setup using 192.168.1.1 and from this point the router or cloud connect seems to lock up.  It asks me if I want to use my cloud connect account, I enter my email and password.  The next page is an authenticate or link the new router so it asks for the router password which is "admin."  The unit at this point locks up and will no go any further.  If I try to go back using another browser and access the page, the it no longer access the router.  What gives.  I thought it may be a defective router, but this is the second.  I spent 4 hours on the phone with linksys/cisco support with NO HELP.  I am running windows 7 Ultimate 64bit with IE10, Chrome, and Mozilla.  Same thing on all browsers and 3 different computers.
Any suggestions would be great.

I believe the installation got messed-up, I suggest you do the manual set up instead if re-running the set up wizard will still not work. First though, reset the router by pressing the reset button for 30sec, wait for the power light to start flashing before releasing it. Check on the links below for the manual configuration instructions if you have cable or DSL internet service as well as the set up instructions with the wizard.

• VPN connection setup issue - ASA5505 + webVPN

Hello,
I have an ASA5505 device that I am trying to configure to allow remote access to my users.
This is a breif overview of what I have going on.  Please let me know what/where you need more information from me.
-dsl modem in bridge mode.
-ASA receiving outside IP from the ISP, and doing the NAT.
as a result everything/everyone inside has internet access.
-DMZ subnet disabled.
-SSL & IPSec rules configured in the ASA
To  test this connection I have a win vista and a win7 laptop with a sprint  broadband card for outside access, if it should matter.
The Cisco VPN client 4.8 doesn't get along with these OS, it seems.
Anyconnect 2.4 installs and runs fine.
I am able to access the webVPN portal from anywhere across the internet.
I  have a local test user setup in the ASA.  When monitoring the real time  log, as I try to log in with that user the ASA accepts the credentials,  starts the connection then immediately drops it.  Log of this activity  is below.
I'm sure this is obvious to those familiar, but here it is anyway:
184.x.6.x = client IP
99.x.70.x = ASA outside IP

I see that  reset-O, is that the "connection was reset from the outside".  Does that referr to the 'outside' interface on the ASA or the outside client?  Or am I missing the mark completely here?
Any suggestions out there?

Hi,
TCP Reset-O means that the session was terminated on the outside (probably by the client, or something on the path).
You could probably get more information as to why is failing by gathering the output of debug vpn-sessiondb 127 when connecting via VPN.

• Connectivity setup issue within DW using both Testing & Remote Servers

Hi
I have a problem with being able to connect to both my remote server and my testing server when both connections are setup at the same time.
Basically I set up the 2 x connections in DW MySQL DB Connect:
1 x dreamsin_localhost
1 x Banbury01_localhost
The dreamsin_localhost has always been the connection which goes to the remote server for nearly a year now. In my Site Manager set up it goes to www.dreamsingaporeproperty.com/public_html.
The Banbury01_localhost I just set up to go to the new testing server on my pc. Currently it has a different username and password to the remote server. Both go to localhost.
I successfully set up the testing server and added the server into the Site Manager. When I clicked 'Live View' or F12 the pages showed in my http://localhost URL.
However when I then tried to connect to the dreamsin_localhost connection it then failed with the above error:
MySQL Error#: 1045
Access denied for user 'dreamsin'@'localhost' (using password: YES)
If I take out the local server setup from the Site Manager and remove /public_html/ from the web URL the connection to the remote site then works, but the connection to the Banbury01_localhost then gets the above error message. If I keep the set up as I always had it with the URL www.dreamsingaporeproperty.com/public_html/ - then another error message about _mmServerScripts.
I'm clearly missing a piece in the whole set up but no idea what.
It seems I can't have both servers working so far.
I have a few ideas of what to do/try and will, but it is more like 'trial & error' approach rather than a proper understanding so would really appreciate some clarity on where I'm going wrong.
I think it might be because both hosts are called 'localhost' ?
I think it might be because I need to set up a user in the testing server mysql table with the same username and pw as for my remote server?
Any help would be great.

• Updating e4200v2 to CIsco Cloud Connect

I know that Cisco Cloud Connect was released fairly recently. I also know that the e4200v2 was supposed to be a supported router from last generation for Cisco Cloud Connect. However, when I go to the upgrade firmware option on my router settings, it says that I have the most up to date firmware.
How do I get CIsco Cloud Connect setup on my e4200v2? Would I simply follow the manual install instructions for the ea4500 with the firmware for the ea4500?
I'm hoping that the updated firmware will fix an issue I'm having with getting a Seagate Expansion hard drive detected for the media server portion since I know a closely related hard drive was in the list of functioning external hard drives for the Cisco Connect Cloud firmware.
Thanks in advance. I really appreciate any help I can get.

mting wrote:
directly update the EA4500 firmware 2.1.38
I have tried it, it works well
But I dont like the ccc, so i downgrade my E4200v2 back to 2.0.37
Me too. I'm going to wait for the CCC bugs to get ironed out and for it to become fully functional. It was not possible to do DHCP address reservation from CCC. The iPhone app presents a dumbed down version of the router interface and is extremely limited. The iPad version is a 2x magnifed version of the iPhone interface.

• Cloud Trial connection/roles issues

I have a few connection issues with the Oracle Trail account, both with Identity Console and sftp.
If I sign into the Account Administration URL using the user name listed in the trial acceptance e-mail (the "Identity Domain Administrator") and look under My Account -> Account Administrators, that account is listed as an Account Administrator. However, if I sign into My Services (via cloud.oracle.com) with the same username and I click Identity Console, I can only see my own account info indicating I'm not actually the Identity Domain Admin. Another strange thing is that the cloud.oracle.com url accepts the same user name stated above but requires a different password? This leads me to think two accounts were created somehow. (I have since changed the passwords to be the same for simplicity).
When I created a SQL Developer cloud connection, this will not take the "Identity Domain Admin" username. The error is "Invalid Resource owner Credentials". Looking at the forum, I tried creating an Apex user as described in the http://docs.oracle.com/cloud/CSDBU/develop.htm#CSDBU165. I granted the new user the 3 groups. When I try this username, it also will not log into the sftp server. This errors with, "Http/1.1 401 Unauthorized".
Anyone have any ideas on how to resolve these issues?
Thanks,
Steve

Hi Steve,
For your first query i.e. you are able to see just your account info, can you please confirm are you able to see “Manage Roles” link on "Identity Console page". Please note that there is an expandable button in bottom left corner of the “Identity Console” page, upon expanding the button you should be able to see “Manage Roles” link in left hand side of the web page.
For your secound query, I would recommend you to please try resetting your SFTP Password. For details please refer "Setting up Secure FTP Account" section at http://docs.oracle.com/cloud/CSDBU/develop.htm#BABIDECC
Just for your reference you may refer “Using SQL Developer for Data Loading” section at http://docs.oracle.com/cloud/CSDBU/develop.htm#CSDBU179 that will help you to guide you in details for Data loading using SQL Developer tool.

• EA6500 and CISCO Cloud Connect

This issue seems to happen about once every week or so.  I get the router settings all configured and I'm able to access it from Cloud Connect and from the APP on my smartphone.  After about a week, it's no longer accessible from cloudconnect, I can access it from my smartphone, but it shows that there are no devices connected (when they are actually connected).  The screen for cloudconnect will come up after I sign in, but it just has the circling dots in the center of the screen saying "waiting" and it will do this until I close out explorer.  The only way I've found to resolve this is to reset the router and set everything from scratch.  Any ideas?  Thanks.

Check on the firmware on the router and update it. Reset the router manually through the reset button then reconfigure it, http://homekb.cisco.com/Cisco2/ukp.aspx?vw=1&docid=2b4150ad548347ce8a451b1170f36e47_How_to_manually_...

• 12c Cloud Control installtion issue (on Windows 7-64 bit)

Hello,
I am trying to install 12c Cloud Control on my personal computer Windows 7 (64-bit) OS for practice purpose. The database setup has been fine and the creation of pluggable database has been successful post which we need to install the cloud control setup. There is an issue at "Step 6 of 9" where we are required to provide the database Configuration Details. The details are: Database Host Name, Port, SID, SYS password. After providing these details it shows the following error:
"There was a problem connecting to the database on the host and port specified. Check to make sure the host is up or that the database listener is running on that host."
My understanding is:
Database Host Name: it is the fully qualified name of my computer, which in my case is "SRIDHAR-PC".
I ran the following script and it confirmed the same:
DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINE()UTL_INADDR.GET_HOST_NAME
Port: the default port "1521" that I have provided and which I have not configured anywhere during installation. So it is the default one.
SID: The SID of the pluggable database being asked and. In this case it is "PLUGDB"
SYS password: The password of the sys account.
How do I resolve this error?

I am sorry for having asked this question outside the forum that I am supposed to for the issue. Progressing further on the issue, yes I have tried connecting them using the credentials and it succeeds connecting the database. On digging further I found that I have been installing the 12c Cloud Control setup on 12c database with pluggable-container database architecture, unfortunately which the 12c Cloud Control EM does not support to be installed on. To install the 12c EM Cloud Control we need to install it on either of the two databases:
1) A pre-12c instance, i.e. 11g database (OR)
2) 12c database installed as a regular installation (as we install the 11g DB) which is not installed as a container-pluggable database combination (This option needs to be selected at the time of database installation).
Oracle can support monitoring the databases which contain the container-pluggable database structure along with the single instance and RAC architecture, but to install the EM Cloud Control setup, it cannot be installed on DB's which consists container-pluggable structure.

• EA4500 PPTP configuration assistance - cloud connect

There are a lot of instructions to connect DDWRT to VPN tunnel providers, however, the EA4500 is not compatible with DDWRT firmware.  I have upgrade to the cisco cloud connect and have been attempting, unsuccessfully, to connect to the VPN proxy provider through PPTP connection type on the EA4500 router...
I have the VPN server IP, login/password, however, have not successfully been able to connect to the provider from the router (setting up VPN on PC works fine). Whenever I update the Connection Type from: Automatic Configuraton DHCP to PPTP on the Internet Settings tab (IPv4), I cannot re-establish my internet connection.
The instructions from the Provider:
Enable the PPTP Client.
Set the Server IP or DNS Name
Set the MPPE Encryption to mppe required,no40,no56,stateless.
Enable NAT.
Enter your User name and Password.
If these steps do not work, please setup PPTP in the WAN section instead.
Thanks for any assistance.

If uninstalling and reinstalling is not resolving the Muse installation issues then you may want to remove all Adobe Creative software and run the CS Cleaner tool.  You can find details on the use of the CS Cleaner tool at CS Cleaner Tool for installation problems | CCM, CS6, CS5.5, CS5, CS4, CS3 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html.
There maybe another option which you can explore but this will be dependent on if you have any other Adobe Creative software installed?  Do you have any other Adobe Creative software installed on your computer beyond that which is included with the Creative Cloud?

I have followed the steps to the last letter using: Data Loading and the Oracle Database Cloud Service
What I have done on the dashboard and APEX:
I changed the password of the SFTP user.
I have created a new user on APEX that belongs to the SQL Developer Group and changed the 'Require change on Password on First Use' to NO before creating the user
SQL Developer:
I set the database username to the new user I created in APEX
I set the database URL to the URL I used to reach the APEX page...https://databasetrial1875-******.db.us1.oraclecloudapps.com/apex/
I set the SFTP username to the username listed next to 'Service SFTP User Name' on the dashboard
I set the SFTP hostname to: sftp.us1.cloud.oracle.com
I left the port set to 22
When I login on SQL Developer to database, I use the password for the user I created in APEX
Thanks in advance to all who help!

Hi,
You have to use the admin account to add the admin role to the developer account. Can you please try this and let me know of your feedback.
The settings you added look good, and the you have the latest version of Sql DEVELOPER     , ...so this should be an issue.
Maybe you have some firewall setting on your computer, that are blocking the connection?
If , after checking all of the above you still have an issue, please contact oracle support via the chat on the cloud.oracle.com and ask the engineer to open a Service Request under your name.
Thanks,
Flori

• Cloud connection using jdeveloper version 11.1.2.3.0

Hi,
I'm new to jdeveloper and cloud, I'm trying to setup a connection to my trial java & database cloud service. I can't seem to find documentation on how to setup up a connection.
Can anyone provide some details?
Thanks
Bruce.

Cloud connection is not in 11.1.2.3 - you can find it in the latest production 11.1.1.6 and the upcoming 12c version

• SQL Developer (Cloud connections) to Cart not working

I follow the QBE execise along with Oracle Public Cloud. Why nothing happend when I drag/drop tables in SQL Developer (Cloud connections) to Cart?

Can reproduce same issue in 11gR1.. DIFF works fine in 10gR2.
I noticed that 10gR2 allows something like:
DBMS_METADATA.SET_TRANSFORM_PARAM(th,'SEGMENT_ATTRIBUTES',0);
and 11GR2 returns error similar to error SQLNAVIGATOR returns while running diff:
DBMS_METADATA.SET_TRANSFORM_PARAM(th,'SEGMENT_ATTRIBUTES',0);
end;
Error report:
ORA-31600: invalid input value 0 for parameter SEGMENT_ATTRIBUTES in function SET_TRANSFORM_PARAM
ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_SYS_ERROR", line 105
ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_METADATA_INT", line 8424
ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_METADATA_INT", line 9484
ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_METADATA", line 3950
Its safe to assume that this is SQLDEVELOPER bug. Hope it will be addressed sometime.

• Unable to register a new cloud connection in Oracle SQL Developer

Please somebody can assist me how could I connect the new cloud connection
I have used the port 22 and SFTP user and host are all ok .. but the error which comes up when i try to connect is
"Peer not authenticated"
Please help!!

Hi Ankur,
Thanks for the updates. You've mentioned you're on Windows - is it 32-bit or 64-bit?
+> I want to confirm that the user id asked in the popup for the new cloud connection , needs to be made in the Application Express in the online database service or is it User Id of the administrator?+
As mentioned in the white paper:
"In order to perform these steps, the data load process uses two different users – one user defined for the Secure FTP (SFTP) site, and another defined to load the data in the Database Cloud Service. You can use any user who is a Service Administrator or Database Developer to load data into your Database Cloud Service. The SFTP user for your Database Cloud Service is identified in the My Services portal1 for the Database Cloud Service in the section label Service SFTP Details."
So the user login credentials you enter in the popup for the new Cloud connection should be "any user who is a Service Administrator or Database Developer". In the 'Welcome to Oracle Cloud' email that you received upon trial registration, the user defined under the 'Identity Domain Account Details' is your default Service Administrator. However, you can of course create additional Service Administrator users or indeed Database Developer users via the Identity Console. Log in to MyServices Administration URL (you'll find the URL in the 'Welcome to Oracle Cloud' email that you received upon trial registration), then select your database service, and click on the Identity Console button on the Services page. This will launch the IDM console, where you can manager the users and roles for your database service. To add a new Database Developer user, for example, you can do the following in Identity Console:
1) Click 'Manage Users' link from the left hand side bar
2) Click Search. You should then see a list of the existing users for your service. Among those users, you'll see your SFTP user. Ensure that you have reset the password for your SFTP user, as per the documentation.
3) Click Create, and enter the credentials for a new user
4) Upon successful creation of your new user, click 'Manager Roles' link from the left hand side bar
5) Click Search. You should then see a list of available roles for your service.
6) Select 'database Database Developer' from the list of available roles, and then click Assign.
7) In the Grant Role popup dialog, and click Search.
8) From the list of available users, select the new user you created in step 3 above. You'll now have a new Database Developer, whose credentials can be used in the creation of a Cloud Connection in SQL Developer.
Now in SQL Developer, ensure that your new Cloud Connection uses the following settings:
Database Username: <enter name of user created in step 3 above OR enter your Service Administrator name>
Database URL: <copy the "Service Home" URL from your 'Welcome to Oracle Cloud' email, and paste it here> e.g.      https://database-trial_name.oraclecloudapps.com/apex/
SFTP Username: <enter name of your SFTP user, which you'll find on the Overview page in MyServices> ** you should have already reset the password for this user via Identity Console
SFTP Hostname: <enter the SFTP host name, which you'll find on the Overview page in MyServices>
SFTP Port: 22
When you attempt to connect to that new Cloud Connection, enter the username/password combo for the user you defined in 'Database Username' of the connection properties. My tests are on Windows 32-bit, and I've experienced no issues connecting using either my Service Administrator or Database Developer login credentials. So I'd be interested to find out whether you're running on 64-bit, which could potentially explain why you're seeing different results. Apologies if the above is overkill, but I figured it was worthwhile outlining the information for other interested parties viewing this thread too.
Regards,
Hilary

• Creative Cloud Connection update error - U43M1D204

Received an update request from the Adobe Application Manager for the "Creative Cloud Connection".  The error states "The download appears corrupted.  Press Cancel, wait a few minutes and try again (U43M1D204).  I tried this several times receiving the same error.  Please advise how to correct.
MAC OS 10.8.3

So, found my solution. Guess it was an amalgamation of the solutions here but I’ll try be more descriptive of how to actually do it (in my case I had problems updating a Camera Raw update for Photoshop).
This assumes you’re on OS X and only have a problem with one update. If you have multiple you’ll have to maybe repeat the steps:
In your home directory, go to Library/Logs/AdobeDownload and open DLM.log in a text editor that has decent search capability
With the log file open, search for .dmg and find the last occurrence of it in the log file. You should see a URL similar to http://swupdl.adobe.com/updates/oobe/aam20/mac/PhotoshopCameraRaw8-8.0/9.0.592/setup.dmg. This is the culprit download that CC seems to hang on
Copy that URL, paste it in a browser and download it somewhere
Now, in your home directory, go to Library/Application Support/Adobe/AAMUpdater/1.0/Install. In my case this directory was empty, so I just moved the setup.dmg file I downloaded in step 2 and placed it in this folder.
Restart CC and try updating your problematic application again. It should work now, at least it did for me…
Hope that ties things over until Adobe can fix this ;P

• Error 2123 When Saving Media Prioritization Settings in Cisco Cloud Connect

There are several features that don't work and are returning errors.  For starters, when trying to save settings for media/device prioritization I am receiving a 2123 error message.  Unable to save settings.  EA4500/N900 Router, Cisco Cloud Connect.

For the record, I was unable to update the firmware automatically with the application.  I had to update the firmware manually and that worked fine.  I doubt my issues are related to a bad installation.  I believe it is a code issue.  Please help resolve media/device prioritization issue.  Thanks.
As a workaround, try to reset the media prioritization settings on the router then check again, http://kb.linksys.com/Linksys/ukp.aspx?vw=1&docid=9bf7b6e25b984839aecbff2fcbd8c20e_How_to_reset_the_.... If it's still the same reset the router manually by pressing  the reset button for a like 30 sec so to ensure the new version of the firmware will be installed properly.
