EA6900 Router Time incorrect

Hi,
I get the following in linksys smartwifi, showing that the router time is way off:
Current Router Time:
Monday, 23 March 2015 13:38:22 (GMT +01:00)
Current Browser Time:
Sunday, 05 April 2015 11:28:43 (GMT +02:00)
(don't mind the GMT+1 and +2 difference, that is because DST was not active on 23/03).
The difference was something around 5 hours until I rebooted the router. Now it is 13 days...
The problem is that there is NO option to set the time, or even an option to manually trigger a sync. I have tried to reinstall the firmware, which is the solution from the thread http://community.linksys.com/t5/Wireless-Routers/WRT-1900ac-Router-Time-Inaccurate/m-p/930840 , to no avail.
What I actually want to do is use the parental controls, but I cannot do that unless the router time is correct.
Please help!

Also, look in the logs for a cnnection that goes to 'ntp' which is how it gets the time settings.

  • Linksys EA6900 router issue

    Hi all,
I have a Linksys EA6900 router with firmware version 1.1.42(build 158863), and it has below issues:
    1) Connot access the router
    2) My devices can search the WIFI signal, but connot join it successfully.
    3) The internal network is working properly, but the internal user cannot access internet.
    4) DHCP is not working.
The issue can be fixed after I restart the router, but the problem comes again if it runs after a few weeks. Anyone has any ideas to resolve this issue? Thx!

Upgrade the firmware. The latest version is 161129 and sbould fix your issues. I suggest you follow this procedure:
download the file.from the linksys site to a pc that can be connected to the router by ethernet not wifi
do a factory reset by holding the reset button until the router reboots
Once the router is done booting login to the router locally and do the upgrade using the 192.168.1.1 and a browser.
make sure the auto update is NOT checked then do another factory reset.
once the router is again stable config it from scratch not from a saved file as there were some changes that you don't want to reintroduce to the new revsion.
You should be good after this. Let us know how it goes

  • Can not get WET200 Bridge to wireless connect to EA6900 Router

    Hello,
I have a connectivity problem with my LinkSys WET200 Wireless-G business Ethernet Bridge
SN: MVP007800846. Any trouble shooting suggestions appreciated.
My system is Dell Vostro 1500 laptop, with Windows XP SP3
Basis problem: When I try to connect wireless to my NEW LynkSys EA6900 router; I receive the error “Limited or no connection” from the cable connection icon in the system tray.   I have tried several things ( restart computer, restart WET200) to make a valid connection with no success.
BACKGROUND and what I have completed:
I replaced my old LinkSys WRT router with a new LynkSys EA6900 router.  The EA6900 is up and running (after a few set up problems) and able to connect to both PC and MAC laptops and Android and Mac phones plus a couple of wireless printers.
To set up the WET200, I connected an Ethernet ( ENet) cable from the Wet200 PoE port to a unused port on the EA6900 router. I used my PC desktop Firefox browser to access the WET200 setup screens by entering the WET200 default IP address in the Firefox address bar.  I connected to the WET200, entered the default username and password and could see all the setup screens.
I selected the WIRELESS, Basic setup, did a sight survey and my EA6900 network name and security setting was present.  I entered the network name in the Basic Wireless setup and changed the WET200 security setting to match the network security setting.
I removed the ENet cable connecting the WET200 to the EA6900 router. Power recycled the WET200.  I then connected an ENet cable from Port 3 on the WET200 to the Enet cable connector on my PC laptop.
I then received the error “Limited or no connection” from the cable connection icon in the system tray.
    Thanks, krazykat1

    Hello krazykat
Need to ask a few questions, so I understand the network and the area this is in. How far apart are the router and WET? Did this work with your previous router, what kind was it? Normally we (Small Business) can not guarantee compatibly  with non small business equipment.
I have seen WDS work  between a WET 200 and other WET200's, also with some of the other older Small Business routers, like WRV200, and 210.
The main problem is most likely that the EA6900 is too new. I say that because the EA6900 is an AC router, the WET200 only does "G". One of the major components required for WDS to work is that Radio Chipsets match and well as channel, radio signal G to G, G/N to G/N, N to N.
I am afraid that there is too much age difference between your products.

  • Lead time and Route time estimation used for deliveries

    Dear Friends,
Can anybadyu let us know how to estimate lead time and route times for deliveries, and what is the exact meaning of the these two with differences
if possible can you please give me the configuration steps, as i know at this movement route times are maintained in the route and lead times are maintained in the material master MRP view.
what was these field impacts in the delivery..
requesting your view as soon as possible
    Thanks
    raju.

    Hi there,
Lead time is the time in which the material will be available. It is called Replenishment lead time RLT. It is maintained in MRP view of material master. RLT can either be inhouse processing time for inhouse manufactured goods or order time + goods receipt processing time for externally procured goods.
Whereas time mentioned in route is used to calculate transit time during delivery scheduling. That is the time taken for the goods to reach customer from shipping point.
Both the times are imp for delivery scheduling.
When the customer places an order, if the material is not available, then the system will take end of RLT as material availability date. From that date, it will carry forward scheduling & propose a new confirmed delivery date.

  • WRT 1900ac Router Time Inaccurate

Current local time for me is 11:07 pm
Router Time listed on wireless scheduler is 4:54:47 am
This means that wireless schedule is complete off from reality
Anyone know how this is fixed?

Make sure the router firmware is up to date. During the upgrade it should pull the right time from the Linksys server.

What "shop" did you buy this in, and in what country? What country did you send it to as a present? And, as KiltedTim stated, there is a BIG difference between SIM free and unlocked.

  • Defining Working Times - Incorrect Scheduling Result for non-Working Date

    Hi All,
We are on SAP R/3 46C and in the process of implementing 'Route Schedules' for our outbound delivery processing.
One of the pre-requisite customising requirements for 'Route Schedules' is to maintain 'Working Times' for the Shipping Point for precise scheduling.
We have defined a 24 hour shift between Monday and Friday in the 'Working Times' config (IMG -> Logistics Execution -> Shipping -> Basic Shipping Functions -> Scheduling -> Delivery Scheduling and Transportation Scheduling -> Maintain Working Hours).
The 24 hour shift is defined as follows Start: 00:00:00 with a Finish at 24:00:00 (We initially had 23:59:59, however, encountered problems with this config).  We have also maintained a 24 hour Pick/Pack time in Customising, and we do not use Loading Times.
We have encountered a problem when we key a Sales Order Item where the ATP confirmed qty Delivery Date results in a Material Availability Date on a 'Friday', in this scenario, the system determines a one day 'Loading Time' which falls on a Saturday at 00:00:00.  This outcome is incorrect on two levels - 1) we do not use 'Loading Times' in our system, 2) a non-working day (Saturday) has been selected.  An important exception to this outcome - if a Route is not selected for the Sales Order item, the outcome described above does not eventuate.
Any assistance in explaing possible causes of this unusual result would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance,
    Ravelle

Power had not been turned off.

    Why is this bad ?
After a power outage or deliberate power cycling the unit, the IPv6 network is not working.
What does this mean for Cisco? No sale.
I do not replace our current branch office router with this unit yet.
When managing the site remotely it has been invaluable, that the current router has been able to provide access through IPv6 when there was certain problems with IPv4.
    The issue has been reproduced.

  • Router time setting

right now, my time setting (under status, router) reads "not available". It used to show the date and time, but I had to power reset the router. How do I get the router to recapture the date and time? I need this to engage the access restrictions policy.

On most Linksys routers, you can only set the time zone.  Then connect the router to the Internet, and it will pick up the correct time automatically.
If you need more help, please state your router model and version.

  • Date & Time incorrect

When my Mac has been in sleep mode or shut down, the clock freezes. When logged in the clock runs but on the incorrect time. Date & Time is set to update automatically will only correct when the Date & Time folder is opened from System Preferences. Any ideas how to fix please?

Does anyone know why my mac time always goes backwards by 1-6 hours. I will reset the time and next time I look or turn on the computer it is an incorrect time again.

  • Mac Mini + MacBook + wireless internet/router: Time Machine on external HD?

    Hi all,
In theory, this is possible (I think) but I wanted to see if anyone had tried it because the guys in the Apple shop gave me crazy eyes when I suggested it.
I have a Mini that's being used as my multimedia hub. I also have a MacBook that talks quite nicely to my Mini over my wireless internet gateway (modem+router in one). I was going to buy a Time Capsule as I recently suffered some serious data loss after my Macbook power supply caught on fire (yes, you did read that correctly) and damaged my HD.
My question is, rather than buy a Time Capsule and suffer all the NAT/networking/bridge issues that other people are struggling with - can I just connect a 2TB external Firewire HD to my Mini and use Time Machine to back up from my MacBook and my Mini to the external HD?
If you can explain why this is a good/bad idea, I'll be really grateful!

Personally, I wouldn't attempt doing all that over a wireless network. You'll be pushing the bandwidth limits of wireless. Not to mention it's not the most reliable of network methods, so entrusting it to backups is also something I wouldn't recommend if possible.
I'd just get an external drive (FireWire preferably) and connect it to the Mini. If possible, bold the drive down to some permanent fixture in your place. External drives have a nasty habit of dying after about a year, because they usually take a lot of abuse in the form of little bumps and jolts. You bolt it down, so that it has to move in relation to some permanent fixture with considerably more mass, and it won't be AS likely to die early on you.

  • Imac finder slow to start - time incorrect after using windows via bootcamp

Everything works fine on my imac except for the following annoying thing that I would like to understand.
After using bootcamp to use windows xp (that also works fine), after I reboot back into Macosx, "sometimes" the finder is noticeably relatively very slow to start (builds the finder window bit by bit) and 'always" the time has been set incorrectly even though I think I have set the windows date and time settings correctly. I use a product available from the macosx downloads called 'cocktail" to maintain the mac - this seems to ok. Both leopard and windows always start - windows has crashed once over the last 6mths or so - macosx never.
The time will reset after I use the date and time pref and toggle the auto update.
Otherwise the imac seems nice and healthy with no hangs or problems - even time machine is working fine. I am generally very impressed.

  • VoIP router + Time Capsule

    Hi All,
I'm considering to buy a Time Capsule in the next couple of days but before doing so I'd like to know if it's compatible to my current setup.
    I currently have:
    - VoIP+ADSL2 wired router (say 192.168.0.1)
    - Airport Express (currently used as 802.11g access point) (say 192.168.0.2)
All Macs and PCs on the WLAN don't use DHCP and they all have 192.168.0.1 setup as default DNS Therefore all port forwarding is setup on 192.168.0.1.
My idea was to connect my Time Capsule as 192.168.0.2, change Airport Express IP to 192.168.0.x and use it just with my AirTunes.
I was wondering will this setup anyhow affect 802.11n bandwidth? Will my WLAN be able to operate with certain IPs as 802.11g (like my PC or PS3) and with some others 802.11n flawlessly (like my MacBook)?

Your description really sounds more complicated than necessary. Here's my setup..
Cable modem <-> Time Capsule router as a DHCP device <-> and an iMac, MBP, MBP, and Vonage VOIP adapter as peers over a gigabit Ethernet and a 802.11n/g wireless network.
Alternatively, you can run your TC wireless network simultaneous with another AE wireless network. Just select the AE from any one of yours computers when you want to play iTunes.
Note: I use Vonage VOIP within my environment. iChat and Vonage VOIP are both SIP aware therefore you should keep both devices as peers to one another.
