After you check the new page after, click on the X+2 button to enter a formula.
In the formula type this:
Not OnLastRecord

Subreports always start in a new page

Hi,
I have 4 subreports in 1 page, based on the suggestions from this forum, I put them into 4 different GroupHeaderSections so all the data is displayed. The problem I have now is that if a subreport is too big, it will start a new page and leave a big blank on the previous page. How can I make all subreports follow each other and go to a new page only when extra space is needed.

Hi John,
This becomes hard because if Crystal thinks the first page of the subreport is too large to fit on the current page of the main report it will force it onto a new page. This is the same as how Word handles images and tables.
I'd recommend looking at the design of the subreports and possibly minimizing the rows they are returning. Possibly decreasing the font size and row heights.

How do I stop all tab group windows cascade open when new page is started

Upgrade to latest Firefox version two days ago, and now whenever I start a NEW PAGE, all tabbed pages cascade onscreen, ie "open link in new window" brings up all tab groups on toolbar.
This has never been a problem - I "save" windows in Tab Groups on my toolbar, and bring up a Group for reference during the day.
Something in the new download has altered my settings, and I cannot find how to keep the tabbed window groups from cascading onscreen, and having to constantly minimise them.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Inline table in Pages '08 must start on a new page if it doesn't fit?

I edit a newsletter with several tables in it. In Pages '05, I used a Layout break after the previous text, then put in the inline table. As the tables I use are around two thirds of a page long, Pages '05 split the table over two pages, automatically (and helpfully) repeating the headers on the second part of the table.
In Pages '08, I can't seem to avoid the table moving to start at the top of a new page, whether I have a layout break or a section break, or neither, before the table.

Peggy, I'm having the same problem. I do lots of multi-page tables that have a large number of cells with single line of text in each cell. The one I'm looking at right now has a row height of 0.21" for 42 rows. There are four lines of text on the page above where the table should start, and when I insert the table from Numbers, it jumps to the first line of the next page and cascades as it should. In Pages 2, I could insert a layout break after the last character of text on the page, set the top layout margin to 0.125" and the table would start on the first line of the new layout, cascading over any additional pages necessary.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

?for-each-group? dosen't work with page break - rtf template???

When I give a page break inside the for-each-group the group doesn't iterate any code after the page break. I can't give <?split-by-pagebreak?> in this case because I want that loop to be iterated for every department, and should show the report in one column(ms word column), and the department description in two columns.....as this has to happen for every department I can't write separate code........everything should go into one file......
Final file should look like:
<for every department>
<department_report-a table>--one column(ms word column)
<department_description-a huge text>--two columns(ms word columns)
<next department>
how can I achieve this - please help, its urgent.

its strange for the last 2-3 days below syntax gave me space at the beginning of each group now it is working i didnt do any change

My tables always start on a new page – why?

When I use a table Pages always creates a new page an starts there with the table. I want the table in the text. I don’t find a reason. It hasen’t always been like this.

As far as I know, it's not the normal behavior.
Look at these two screenshots of the same document.
I gave a green background to the 3rd paragraph so that it would be easy to see its location after the insertion of a large table.
As you may see, the table pushed the text exactly as it's supposed to do.
So I decided to make some complementary tests and I discovered that I was able to force the described behavior.
It just requires that I define line spacing as "Exactly".
Maybe your text is using this setting.

HTML gallery - need to load each group of images on same existing page

Can't seem to get this right. I have an existing Dreamweaver page with other stuff in it and all I want to do is to load the HTML gallery in a div tag at the bottom of the page. Now I am able to do this easilty enough but I want the images and the index pages to load/refresh within the same page and not launch a new page (the export from Lightroom produces index_2, index_3 and so on). I need each cluster of images and the detailed image simply to reload within the dvi tag without refreshing the entire page; in other words without going to index_2, index_3 and so on . Can't seem to get this correct.

My explanation was pretty terrible - however after playing around with code I used the html iframe comand to display a 2nd html file within another

Each time I go to a new page, I get an error that pops up that states "uninstal set" over and over. It asks me to hit "ok" to get rid of the pop up. At the top of the box it says JavaScript Application. How do I get rid of this?

This started happening after I attempted to download FileZilla. I uninstalled FileZilla to see if that would help and it does not. I also tried uninstalling Firefox and reinstalling but that did not help.

This issue can be caused by an extension that isn't working properly.

I have a very specific requirement for Adobe forms.
1. I have to print a table which can flow upto several pages and after that i have a structure which is having some fields which needs to be displayed at last page i.e at the bottom of last page like the total of all data in the table.
2. I have to print a table in which each row should be printed at different page i.e 1st row which is again a table type can flow upto several pages then 2nd row which is a table type must be start from next page and so on.
How can i achieve these two requirements.

If you use content: flowed + allow page breaks within content, then the rows will be distributed to the pages and the content which is placed in the hierarchy just after the table will appear at the bottom of the table

That means you will use the table of tables (create table of tables in the backend and then just display it in the form). To work with the page break/ pagination you should set up "top of next page" (tab Pagination) for every outer table row.

Set your view to "Print View" and you will see the individual pages. More pages will be added as you drag content away from the existing pages.
Arrange your content as you would like to see it printed. That's it. What you see is what will print.

Cannot start new page/access templates

Mac Mini. OSX 10.4.8
iLife installed from iLife disks, iWeb v. 1.1.2 from disk - Family Pack
iWeb is working on one computer.
iWeb will not work on the Mac Mini - it starts but the New Page from File menu is grayed out, as are all other commands. Cannot access templates either.
I do not see a newer version on downloads, not sure what to do.

This is a fairly common problem. The easiest approach is to open iPhoto, pick a photo or an album, and either click the iWeb button at the bottom of the iPhoto screen or go to the Share menu and choose iWeb. It may take several tries, but eventually iPhoto should force iWeb to open and ask you to choose a template. After that the controls should work for you.
Several months ago I read up on the problem in these forums and compiled a list of solutions based on posts here. If the iPhoto doesn't work, take a look at the other options listed here.

Clicking on 'ADF Calendar Component activity' should navigate to New page

We implemented the ADF calendar component and it displays fine. However, we have a requirement that by clicking on the activity, it should navigate to another new page. For an activity, there are options like contextMenu, acitivtyHover, activityDetail etc.., where all shows the details in popup of the same page. We want to navigate to new page by clicking on the activity. Is it possible?

Cannot separate to new page according to WERKS

I have succesfully display my result according to each new WERKS.
BUT if i add NEW-PAGE PRINT ON and NEW-PAGE PRINT OFF in order to send my report to spool. The NEW-PAGE no longer work out.
May I know how to solve this?

Page break and redirection of output to the SAP spool.
Starting with the new page, all WRITE statements (and also SKIP, ULINE, ...) are interpreted as print statements (see Printing in ABAP).
Before the first page is printed, the user sees a screen for setting the print parameters unless the addition NO DIALOG has been specified. The print parameters are passed through the structure params. This structure must have the structure of PRI_PARAMS. The structure can be filled and modified using the function module GET_PRINT_PARAMETERS.
If you specify arparams with ARCHIVE PARAMETERS, the structure of ARC_PARAMS must be used. You should only edit this parameter using the function module GET_PRINT_PARAMETERS.
If you specify the addition NEW-SECTION, the page count is reset to 1. If data is being printed, the current spool request is closed. If the print parameters specified are compatible with those set earlier, the new spool request is attached to the spool request just closed.
Note
It is not possible to add records to the spool on a cross-event basis (AT LINE-SELECTION, AT PFx, AT USER-COMMAND). In such cases, NEW-PAGE PRINT OFF (see addition 10) is processed even if this has not been coded explicitly.

Regarding subtotals and new page in ALV Grid

Hi All,
I have 5 employees in my internal table and each employee having five records.
Now iam displaying total employees in ALV grid and calculating their totals at the end of the hole records.
But i need to display the sub totals for each employee and i need new page for each employee.
means 1) New page for each employye
2) sub totals for each employee
3) grand total for all employees
How can i proceed for this requirement in ALV grid?

For subtotals first you need to set the do_sum = 'X' in the fieldcatalog for the columns you want totals.
fieldcat-fieldname = 'ABC'.
fieldcat-do_sum = 'X'.
Append fieldcat to it_fieldcat,
for subtotals you need to populate the SORT table.
sort-fieldname = 'EMPLOYEE'.
sort-up = 'X'.
sort-group = '*'. "<----- this is for new page
"you can view new page in preview / print /
"if you are using the list function
sort-subtot = 'X'.
append sort to it_sort.
pass this it_sort to it_sort of the alv function.
