Each record of table in new page

experts help
i will be having records in table and each record i want to print in new page.
suppose if i have 5 records ie 5 items i need to print in 5 pages.
I was looping at table.
and printing each record , but all are comming in the same page.
Please tell me how to acheive

How do you rotate a table in 'new' pages, all my tables have spun round and I cant put them back?

Thanks I tried to get my original doc back, but it wouldnt open, tried via time machine and that was locked too!
Eventually had to save as a pages 09 doc, then reopen in pages 09 and turn everything back round
Think i will stick with the old verision for now!

How to append parameter with URL for each record in table control?

I have one table control which contains 5 columns.
(tripno, startdate, destination, reason, activities)
In 5th column, i need to display URL for each record.
for ex:
www.abc.com/test?tripno=1
www.abc.com/test?tripno=2
www.abc.com/test?tripno=3
when user clicks a particular hyperlink, it navigates to another page/component thru URL with one key field(tripno) to retrieve related records in next page.
1) i am not able to assign tripno to each record. when i assign tripno, its taking the last value which i assigned. ie. tripno=3 only.
How to assign URL to Reference field of LINK_TO_URL element at run time?
OR
2) we can do like this.
Simply assign url to reach record without key field.
www.abc.com/test
www.abc.com/test
www.abc.com/test
when user clicks a particular link, we can assign corresponding key field to the URL.
Where should i write this event? Bcoz, LINK_TO_URL doesnot have event.

Not sure whether I understand you .. but in the 5th column you want to have the reference URL. Is this the activities columen from you example?
Nevertheless, you need a attribute (String) in your context node which contains the URL. Bind this to the reference filed of linktourl. If you can not extend the structure you can create a sub node (cardinality 1:1) which contains the refernce attribute.
Then loop over all elements and concatenate www.abc.com/test?tripno= with the tripno of the current element into the reference field.

Help creating tables in new pages

I need to add a few pages to my website, so I've created a few blank pages by going file> new> page from template. I then try to add a table to the content box of the page, but this message appears: "making this change would require changing code that is by a template or translator. This change will be discarded."
Can someone help me figure out how to get tables into my page?

How to solve showing thousand of records in table in single page.....??

I have a table bind to ObjectListDataProvider and using hibernate 3
i set the pagination rows to 10 per page and enable the paginate button to true
but i was wondering why the application server or rather the JSF itself cannot handle lots of records displaying in one page.
for example i have 150 pages for 10 rows per page each
if i click paginate button to show all in single page , the cpu utilization hit 99% and my application will hang.
but it works okay if i have 8-9 pages for 10 rows per page and show all of them in single page.
Is there any way i can fix this or tune this up?
anyone experiencing this before?

Solved.
Somewhere in our code, while populating one of the columns of the table, we were resetting the VO which was causing the issue. Modified that method call to add a parameter to mention from which row should the table be populated.

Hi,
1)Create a new View, map the context node which is bound to the table to the context of this view.
2) Iterate throught the element and print them to the screen.
3) Embed this view to a window.
4) on click of the button open the newly created window.

I have to show a selected record on a new page whose input query value is in first page. For example I choose to edit an order id by selecting order id and then pressing Edit Record button then in new page selected order record should show. I am working in ADF JSF pages. Set your view to "Print View" and you will see the individual pages. More pages will be added as you drag content away from the existing pages.
Arrange your content as you would like to see it printed. That's it. What you see is what will print.

Now iam displaying total employees in ALV grid and calculating their totals at the end of the hole records.
But i need to display the sub totals for each employee and i need new page for each employee.
means 1) New page for each employye
2) sub totals for each employee
3) grand total for all employees
How can i proceed for this requirement in ALV grid?

For subtotals first you need to set the do_sum = 'X' in the fieldcatalog for the columns you want totals.
fieldcat-fieldname = 'ABC'.
fieldcat-do_sum = 'X'.
Append fieldcat to it_fieldcat,
for subtotals you need to populate the SORT table.
sort-fieldname = 'EMPLOYEE'.
sort-up = 'X'.
sort-group = '*'. "<----- this is for new page
"you can view new page in preview / print /
"if you are using the list function
sort-subtot = 'X'.
append sort to it_sort.
pass this it_sort to it_sort of the alv function.

Creating a new page and new layout in a Parent/Child report.

Currently I have a Parent/Child Report in Oracle Reports 6i. The report shows Contracts as the parent and the detail of the contracts are the Ads. Sometimes there are many ads which extend the contract to another page. Just a normal Parent/Child report. This report can display many contracts at once. My problem is that at the end of each contract I need a new page with a different layout, for a disclaimer page. I've tried many different scenarios using Anchors and page breaks. Is this even possible with Oracle Reports 6i, to have a new page with a different layout in a contract level repeating frame? Any suggestions would help.

You have 2 repeating frames: R_contracts and R_ads. Create a frame M_disclaimer after R_ads, within R_contracts to hold the disclaimer page. This page will print after all the ad records have been printed, and before the new contract starts.
You can set Page Break Before on M_disclaimer to print this frame on a new page.

Data gets truncated when flows on the new page ?

I have data from about 5 tables displayed in this report.
There is one row which fetches all the required data and displayed there. This is a repeating frame in a group. The group is then again on a repeating frame which is on a group.
At the end of this in the overall group frame, there is a row which has summary columns.
the problem: When the rows of the innermost repeating frame are a lot in number, such that they exceed the page and overflow to the next page, the extra records do not get displayed. they are truncated and the next record starts on the new page. if i fiddle with the properties of the frames. the other scenario i get is, now i get the same number of rows as before, only, this time the summary row is also displayed at the end of this page. and like before a new record starts on the new page.
I tried many possible comninations with the properties, but i cannot get the data to flow over to the next page.
Any comments as to why this is happening ?

It does sound like it's probably related to your print conditions. If you have not already had a look, I would highly recommend looking at the restrictions in the on-line help for the Print Object On property.
It's difficult to say without seeing the report itself. What it sounds like to me is that a detail repeating frame has been set to All Pages. Let's say its master repeating frame is the Base Printing Object for the detail repeating frame. If the master only has a couple of lines of data to itself (ie the department name and id or location) then it likely does not have enough data to go to an additional logical page. All Pages for the detail repeating frame means that it will print on and only on All logical pages that the Base Printing Object will appear on. Therefore, as it would only appear on one page, the detail will get truncated to just that one page.
I suspect this is likely to be what it going on here, however, without the actual report, it will be difficult to tell exactly which object is causing the problem. If after reading the doc on this you still have trouble figuring out which frame is causing the problem (it may be repeating or a group frame) then I'd suggest contacting Oracle Support for further hands on assistance.
