I have never seen that. You have an error of some kind in your system and I would suggest you repair the hard drive as well as permissions, then run the 10.4.11 combo upodater again and reinstall Safari 4.0.3.
Repairing permissions is important, and should always be carried out both before and after any software installation or update.
Go to Disk Utility (this is in your Utilities Folder in your Application folder) and click on the icon of your hard disk (not the one with all the numbers).
In First Aid, click on Repair Permissions.
This only takes a minute or two in Tiger, but much longer in Later versions of OS X.

If you were having any serious problems with your Mac you might as well complete the exercise by repairing your hard disk as well. You cannot do this from the same start-up disk. Reboot from your install disk (holding down the C key). Once it opens, select your language, and then go to Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. Select your hard disk as before and click Repair.
Once that is complete reboot again from your usual start-up disk.

In Safari. Pull up your saved bookmarks (not create a new one). When up, click edit. New Folder button will be in bottom right after that. In Edit mode of saved bookmarks you can create new folders and reassign saved bookmarks to the new folders you make (and move up and down).

I'm trying to write a VI that updates a file each time it is run, but on a new day a new file is created which is updated until a new day begins.

I have written a VI to create and update a file as many times as needed on any given day. On any subsequent day a new file is created which for that day will be updated each time the VI is run and so on. The problem is that when I run the VI the first time of a new day, ie when the file is created only data is written to the file and not the header data. When the file is appended, header data, and regular data is properly written to the file. Can anyone tell me how to correct this problem? A copy of the VI that I wrote is attached.

You had the header information written when there wasn't an existing file, then you overwrote that file with another file consisting only of the data because you wired the "append to file? (new file:F)" the same for both functions (F causes it to create a new file). I put the header writing function in a Case structure because you only want it to execute when this is a new file (otherwise it'll overwrite what's there). Wire the path straight through the False case. I wired a TRUE to the data writing function to always append (because there will always be a file by the time the program gets there).

Each time I edit my bookmarks on one computer they get changed or duplicated by another. How can I clear my sync file and start over?

I have 2 desktop computers, one running Windows 7, the other Ubuntu Linux. I also have a laptop running Linux Mint and a netbook for travelling dual-booting Ubuntu Linux and Windows 7. I use Firefox sync so I have my bookmarks available on all of them. The problem I'm experiencing is that sometimes I make a change to a bookmark, folder or sub-folder, like deleting, renaming or moving to another folder. Later, when I go back to either that computer or another, the bookmark or folder is back. How can I control syncing so I can force an upload of my bookmarks, then replace the bookmarks on the other computers? I was able to do that with XMarks but switched to Firefox sync a few months ago and prefer it since it doesn't ask me to log in frequently.

If you have all of the data the way you want it on one computer, then create a new account in Firefox sync and add the account to the profile without Xmarks.

Why is it that I have to wait close to 15 minutes for the library to update each time I add some content to my iPod Touch?

Ever since I downloaded and installed version 4.3.3 to my iPod Touch, it has been taking forever to update the library. Even when I only add a podcast for an album worth of songs. I got this message before so I'm not a stranger to it but now it's taking way longer than it used to.

You do not mention the printer model, and they are not "all the same". Some models have pigmented ink (such as the Officejet 8500 series) which may need more cleaning to keep the nozzles clear. Other printers have cartridges with the printhead and ink supplies integrated (example: Deskjet 6980). These printers do not need nearly as much "prep".
The reason the printer goes through a cleaning cycle before a print job is because it is preparing the printheads to ensure the print quality.

I have an Apple Time Capsule which I use for back up. Is there a way I can send my photos to it each time I add new photos? I guess I am asking if there is a way I can use it as an external hard drive?

I take A LOT of pictures as I am an amerature photographer. I have used up almost all of the space on my internal hard drive with photos and music. Is there a way I can use my time capsul as an external hard drive? If so, can anyone direct me where I can go to figure out HOW to do it? I appreciate your help!!!!

Buy a large enough external hard drive you can use to store your pictures permanently. Time Capsule is not a good choice for this. Keep your backups separate from your storage needs.

I just got a new iPhone and have reset my iCloud password 3 times on my computer but each time i try to enter on my new phone it does not recognize.

Try saving your photo stream photos to your camera roll, then delete the account and sign back in. (This only deletes it from your device, not from iCloud. Your data will download back to your device when you sign back in.)

Add point to scatter plot each time a button is pressed

Apologies if this has been answered elsewhere, I am new to LabVIEW and trying to get an experiment up-and-running quickly!
I was wondering if anybody would have general pointers or code examples on how to create a 2D scatter plot, to which a data point is added each time a button is pressed.
I am measuring a gauge pressure and a force (from a load cell). I would like the scatter plot to add another data point each time I press a button, so that a history of my datapoints is shown. It would also be quite nice is this plot could then be exported as a .jpg using another button, but this is not critical.
A seperate button would also be available to clear the scatter plot.
My current thinking is that this can be done by 'adding to an array', - presumably the chart would refresh each time an element was added to the array, but I am struggling a little bit with how to do this.
If anybody has any suggestions, I would be very grateful for them.

Hi Euan,
If you want to have your data shown in real time (and I'm assuming you do) then you'll need to use a Waveform Chart. The chart is able to update itself each time a value is written to it.
The event structure is your friend here: you can write a case to update the chart each time a button is pressed. You can also create cases for the other situations you mentioned (clear chart, export jpg etc.)
If you don't care about the chart updating in real time then you can use your idea of updating an array and then use a Waveform Graph to plot the datapoints at the end of your program.
Take a look at the LabVIEW Basics course and the Examples for info on how to implement the event structure. If you run into any problems just post your VI and we'll see if we can't help you fix them.

How can I get rid of yahoo calendar on my iPhone 5c? Each time I make an entry, I have to turn off yahoo and turn on iCloud.

Each time I add an event on my iPhone 5c calendar, I have to click off Yahoo calendar and click on iCloud or the event will not register. Should I permanently delete the Yahoo calendar under settings or is there a way to default to the iCloud calendar? Thank you.
