      I’d begun syncing an iPhone via iTunes.
    I sync manually (“manually manage music and videos”). The first time this happened, I wanted to delete seventeen podcast episodes (all belonging to one podcast) existing on the iPod — but they didn’t show up in iTunes. I tried re-downloading them and re-syncing, to see if the new versions would somehow “re-link” to iTunes. They didn’t. Only one — new — episode appeared in iTunes.
    I ultimately reset the iPod and manually resynced all the podcasts I currently had on iTunes. That worked, though I had to painstakingly add in all the other content deleted by the reset.
    So: after that reset and manual sync, all podcasts and episodes on the iPod were visible to iTunes and I was able to delete the podcast and its — now 18 — episodes I’d wanted to get rid of to begin with. But the next time I connected the iPod, only 8 podcast episodes out of 21 episodes total existing on the iPod were visible to iTunes. These are different podcasts; I’d deleted the original “invisible” ones.
    By “visible,” I mean in the “Podcasts” list view under “[name]’s iPod” in the iTunes sidebar. If I select “[name]’s” iPod in the iTunes sidebar and the “Podcasts” tab, all podcasts and episodes are visible, though greyed out because I’m set to sync manually. It’s unclear to me if these are the podcasts on the iPod or those currently in iTunes, as they are currently the same. If I switch to syncing automatically, all content on the iPod will be lost again, so I’m not up to trying it at the moment.
    As I said,  this involves only podcasts. All other content on the iPod does appear in iTunes.

    I have the same problem- i see my movies in the ipod section in itunes and they even show as mpeg4 in the 'kind' section but they dont have that small TV icon next to them. if i play these in itunes, they play fine- but try playing them on the ipod and all you hear is the sound and no picture. All videos that i manually transfer work fine in the beginning- its when i hook up the ipod to the comp again and start itunes- they start showing up without the 'tv' icon!! i have to again transfer them from the itunes library to activate them as videos.

    They have all be errased from my computer.  Is there any way someone can help me retrieve them or re-download them?

    If you are in a country where music can be redownloaded, and you haven't changed countries since buying them and they are still in your country's store (and they aren't hidden), then you should be able to redownload them via the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage. If they show there but don't have the cloud symbol against them for redownloading then do you still have them listed in the Music part of your library ? If you do then deleting them from Music should then give you the cloud symbol against them in Purchased for redownloading.
    If you can't redownload them then do you have them on your backup of your library/downloads so that you can copy them back onto your library ? Or do you have them on your iOS device - you should be able to copy them back it via File > Devices > Transfer Purchases (though again, if you have them listed in the Music part of your library then you will need to delete them from there before Transfer Purchases will work).

    If they are showing in the Videos app with a cloud then go into Settings > iTunes & App Store on your phone and set Videos (under the 'Show All') heading 'off' - you might (depending upon which country that you arein) have a similar button for music and the Music app.

    No, not unless you have the email somewhere else as well. It's kind of the same thing with my devices, I delete an iMessage but if I search it in search it pops up, but I can't access it.

    Go to settings>messages>send and receive at>you can be reached by iMessages at> Uncheck your phone number and you can select your Apple ID emal address if you want to use that for messages.

    If the details have been deleted from iCloud, they are, I'm afraid, gone.   But if you have backed them up by Time Machine they should be recoverable.

    Are you certain that they are both running IOS 6.1.3? Go to Settings>General>About, and check the "Version".

    First, we will want to quit iTunes and/or Apple Software Update if those are open at this time.

    Wow that was really quick, thank you so much.  Im not sure at all which version it was because i said it was around 4 years ago he bought it.  I know it isn't under his username, since he's a PC person (ugh) so i know its probably registered to one of our actual names.  isn't there some way to look it up since we did register it, because I'm not even sure where the disks are from when we bought it (we've moved a lot and also have two storage lockers, i know i would have kept it with other disks) but my cd rom drive is actually broken on my computer as well ( i think it got stepped on and is now squished and won't eject or run disks.)
    So is there anyway they can look up that its registered to one of our names since we did register it when we bought and installed it, or do i really have to find the disk with some sort of proof of purchase (i know there would be no receipt after all this time)

  • Urgent - some emails still going to old mailbox after migration to Office365

    Hello, I recently changed all my Email Accounts to Microsoft Exchange Server.
    Previously they were pop accounts and I just set them all up as new accounts, importing the .pst file.
    90-95% of my emails are all going to my new Exchange Account server, but the odd random email I am not getting and it is going to my old POP account that is still there.  The email adress is exactly the same.
    Any idea why this is?
    Does it take time to fully transfer?
    If I shut my Old Pop account, will that fix it?  I fear if I do this, those emails might go missing or I would hope that it pushes them towards the new exchange server I have setup.

    In order to troubleshoot the issue more efficiently, I need to clarify one thing.
    Did you use the POP3 account and Exchange account for the same profile?
    If so, I recommend you use two different profiles to check the result.

    During the sync between Gmail and Mail in my MacBook Pro all the messages disapered in Gmail and in my Mac. I see them for a minute in my Mac and then all disapered. Then, I went to Gmail and all my emails have been deleted too, but they aren't in the Trash Folder. The configuration was ok, and all the options to keep a copy on the server were activated.
    Now I can't find the emails (more than 15.000) in Gmail or in the Mac.
    Any suggestion?

    Most likely your anti-virus software did corrupt your mail files. In general the anti-virus software should not scan your Thunderbird profile folder.
    Without knowing what exactly the local computer company did it is virtually impossible to tell what happened.
    You can check whether the anti-virus software did quarantine your mail file(s).

    The Windows Restore function does not cover the Thunderbird profile, so there is no point trying that.
    Your best bet would be to restore a recent backup of your profile folder. Hope you did create one.

    I had the same issue, went to itunes store on the Apple TV but the rented movie would not download. Tried this over and over again, restarted ATV and it still didn't work. I had itunes open on my Imac so I closed it and forced it to quit. Voila the movie showed up in the top row as a rented movie!
