Each time I download an update all library downloaded audio books are erased. Is there a SIMPLE way to prevent this?

Your Flash Player plugin is outdated. Uninstall then reinstall a new copy.
Uninstall Flash
Install Flash
Then Repair Disk Permissions
Quit any open applications/programs. Launch Disk Utility. (Applications/Utilities) Select MacintoshHD in the panel on the left, select the FirstAid tab. Click: Repair Disk Permissions. When it's finished from the Menu Bar, Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac. If you see a long list of "messages" in the permissions window, it's ok. That can be ignored. As long as you see, "Permissions Repair Complete" when it's finished... you're done. Quit Disk Utility and *restart your Mac.*

if you use windows then it seems that the windows user you use dont have writing rights to all the required dirs that itunes would use for temp storage of downloads such as the update
I would contact who ever you use for user management and rights on the computer

Apple just recently changed the authentication process to NOT ask for username/password, at least when installing a *free* App or updating one that was free.
In iOS 6, (at least, I don't remember if it was in iOS 5), you can set the amount of time before a password is again requested:
Settings>General>Restrictions>Require Password: Immediately. Not having used this, I don't know if it will ask for a password everytime. You might want to give it a shot.

Got it sorted. AN e-mail to teh support centre got me three replies, two reasuring me that someone os working on it and the third giving me the information that the ID is enabled again and ready to use. All within 24h. Of course without any information as to why the problem came up in teh first place. At least it was swift action.

Is the same true for using the App Store with a desktop machine? Someone installed a program on my machine (the IT department) and I would like to install the updates but it was installed under a different Apple ID. This anyone know how to change, or work around this particular issue?
Any thoughts or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Hold the power button and the home button down until the screen goes black and the apple logo appears. This will do a reset and you should be able to update your apps then.

Crash report each time I download Aperture

I purchased Aperture a few days ago. The download completes properly but when I try to open it, I get a crash report. I get this result each time I've downloaded. Can anyone suggest what I should be looking at? I've downloaded a few other (non-Apple) products with out problems.
For Apple: I've opened 2 tickets on this issue, both times got someone named Swaroop. Swaroop's solution was to first, give me a refund because "I was unhappy with my purchase". The second ticket explained how I could find the price of Aperture. TrackId 13989794 & 14012833
I called support regarding this problem 2 times but each time I was disconnected.

I tried as you suggested with the exception of the Combo update. When I tried to install this, the message I got was "The volume does not meet the requirements for the update." Possibly because I am already running 10.6.6?

Each time I download the Adobe Reader I get to step 2 but never get to step 3.

I have been having a problem installing Adobe Reader, I never get to step 3 of the instillation. I also get a message that another Adobe is running. Each time I open a PDF file is shows download but never opens the file. I had HP Service working on it yesterday for more than 4 hours and they could not correct the problem. I have tried uninstalling the program and re-installing but I have no success. Please help me.

Most ISP's will give an unlimited download account nowadays, subject to reasonable use, others may have caps after which you need to pay for additional data. Check with your ISP as to what your data plan includes, FWIW, I would think any data cap below 50 GB per month is unreasonable these days, unless you are on a satellite connection or something, if you are on such a plan, I'd consider negotiating a better deal or moving to another ISP.

That is because the process is inserting the rows one at a time.
I would suggest changing your trigger to "log" the changed rows into a table, and then have a process which reads the log and generates the email.

Do a clean (re)install and delete the Firefox program folder (C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\).
If there are problems with updating then best is to download the full version and uninstall the currently installed version and delete the Firefox program folder to remove any leftover files.
Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop and close Firefox.

Uninstall your current Firefox version, if possible.
*Do NOT remove personal data when you uninstall the current version or you lose your bookmarks and other data because all profile folders will be removed.

Ok make sure you have iTunes 11. Then connect iPod touch to computer then iTunes should pop up automatically. After it opens on the bottom left there should be a tab where it says your name and then iPod. For example (Johns iPod) click on that then it brings all your information of the iPod including restore and updating.
