EAP-AKA Support in OS x and iOS

Question

As you know, EAP is an authentication framework. It simply provides some common functions and negotiation of the desired authentication mechanism. Such mechanisms are called EAP methods and there are currently about 40 of them. Some famous EAP types currently included in the Wi-Fi alliance certification program are:
- EAP-SIM: Based on SIM card: uses cryptographic algorithm for 2G network authentication.
- EAP-AKA (since 19/05/2009) : Based on (U)SIM card: uses cryptographic algorithm for 3G network authentication.
In our company we are trying to use EAP-AKA to provide seamless authentication of WiFi network based on the user's (U)SIM.
I wonder if EAP-AKA is considered to be part of accepted EAP types supported in the iPhone or Mac OS x Airport?

Hi Dave, Thanks for your answer. you are right (according to the Guide) iOS supports the all the protocols mentioned, however i was looking after the EAP-AKA (for the 3G authentication) based on (U)SIM. it is simply not there on the supported protocol lists in iOS.
According to my recent search on this, it seems in the iPhone/iPad that are running iOS the (U)SIMs inside performs 2G Authentication as well (if the authenticator is asking for EAP-SIM) so EAP-SIM on the iOS (iPad/iPhone) should be ok.
now the question comes to the OS x, i did not find any hint on EAP-SIM or EAP-AKA authentication support i hope it will be added sometime. Meanwhile i am looking for some OSx software that does the same.
