Eap LEAP wifi standard missing in N95 ?

Hi there,
i need eap leap security standard in order to connect to office wi fi , when i started to set up the connection i cant seam to find it under EAP security settings ?
Now i had no problem settin this up on e60 e61 or even older s8 9300i ...
Now am i missing something or this is not on the N95 pls be so kind and check urse lookin forward for ure reply ...
PS ... have the latest fw my phone is sim free no branding there !

I think that N95 may actually be one of the rare WLAN enabled Nokia phone models that doesn't support LEAP authentication method at all. It seems that you are out of luck connecting to that particular WLAN network unless authentication server on the network supports also some other EAP authentication methods e.g. PEAP, TTLS or TLS that are supported by the N95.

E90 eap-leap connectivity, as usual not working...

Sorry folks, here we go again.... I have already made some search in the forum about the topic and also tried them accordingly to no avail. First try, general error, second try it will crash (screen will blank out and restart, what a graceful exit!!!) Well I cant count how many restart I made and Im a little bit tired, maybe I need some help. =)
Anyway here's my settings : (this setting is working perfectly on windows XP, so I assume its a handphone or handphone config issue)
Model : E90
Firmware : 07.24.0.3
Name : CompanyRoam
Data Bearer : Wireless LAN
WLan Net name : CompanyRoam
Network Status : Public
WLan Net. Mode : Infrastructure
WLan Security Mode : 802.1x
Wlan Security Settings :
WPA/WPA2 : EAP
EAP plug-in settings : EAP-LEAP (Disabled everything but this)
Username : *username* (also tried *username*\*domain*)
Prompt Password : No (tried yes then no, as said in some forum)
Password : myDomainPassword
Others : ip address using dhcp

After more research on Eap-Leap connectivity, I found someone that can connect to our corporate wifi but using a Nokia E60.
My settings were the same as his E60, i even ask him to place his username and password to my Nokia E90 and still it crashes. So finally conluded this is a firmware problem.
It is so embarrasing the same NOKIA manufacturer, even the same E-SERIES and does not work. Hopefully by next firrware this should work.
So for E90 users out there, no eap-leap connectivity as of my current firmware. I will continue to update this thread as new firmware arrives.

Is EAP-LEAP plug-in supported in Nokia X6 version ...

For those who has upgraded Nokia X6 16GB to V20.0.005 NAM version, does it still have the EAP-LEAP plug-in available. And, does LEAP still work?
LEAP is a little bit out of date and not included in WPA2. I see the reasoning to drop its support. But I just need it.
The V20.0.005version has some features I would really like but LEAP is a must for me. Given that downgrade is not formally supported, a little bit nervous to try it. Some seems to encounter problem as reported in this post.

Answer my own question. Nokia support said LEAP is still available. It is true. I upgraded to V 20.2.005 and it still have EAP-LEAP and working fine.

Hi Peera,
the first message is because the user switched quickly between SSIDs. This is a behavior that WLC blocks by default.
Change the option "Fast SSID change" to enabled if you want to stop that blocking.
The second message simply means that the client was not configured for wpa/wpa2 ... This is something I can hardly comment on since I can't see the client configuration

EAP-LEAP Module for Windows Vista & 7?

I’m trying to understand the 802.1X clients/modules Cisco offers. I found the Cisco Secure Services Client and the EAP-FAST Module for Win Vista/7. But where do I download or learn more about the EAP-LEAP Module for Win Vista/7?

I can see these options on WZC when I am setting up the security options on the profile.
I recently downloaded the wireless drivers for my Intel 3945ABG wireless card. So I cant really explain if there were since the begining or thru a windows update or maybe due to the manually updated Intel drivers...

OS8 not connecting with Leap WIFI (corporate WIFI)

I updated my iphone5s with iOS8 now its not connecting with Leap WIFI (corporate WIFI) .
It used to work with WPS2 enterprise option, but now not working with any options.
Tried to restore to factory default settings and tried different devices with Os8 non of the are working.
Any one can help me please

Turn your Home Wi-Fi Router OFF... wait for 30 Seconds... Turn it ON.
If no joy... On your iPhone...
Reset all settings
Settings > General > Reset > Reset all Settings.
This will return all iDevice settings to factory defaults... you will not lose any data.... But you will have to re-enter all of the device settings.

EAP-SIM Wifi network priority

Hello,
I have a Z10, and my cellular carrier which is also my internet carrier, configures automatically a community wifi network with an EAP-SIM logon.
The problem is when I come at home my Z10 selects the community wifi network and not my personal wifi network.
I tried several time to change the priority of the networks in the wifi settings, but the community wifi network, (which is created by the SIM Chip!!) always come back in first priority...
Can you help me.

Yes,I have "Re-ordered my wifi list", It is what I call "Set the Wifi Priority"...
And Yes the EAP-SIM Wifi come back to the top after a while...
Disable the network is not an option for me: the spirit of a community network is not to turn it off!! If everybody turn it off, there is no more community
And the deleting option is not available in this wifi setup... surely becase it is an EAP-SIM configuration.
I have made some test this saturday, on a friend Galaxy S3 with the same carrier:
There is absolutly no problem on Android: the order of the wifi list does not move alone and this order is respected for the connexion.
I really hope Blackberry can correct the behavior in the OS.

TS1398 WiFi Icon Missing on iPad

WiFi icon missing on status bar. WiFi OK. iPad 3rd.

Same here. 3rd gen iPad latest ios. The wifi is connected but instead of having the wifi icon it shows the LTE. I can turn data off and still have Internet connection on the wifi but the icon is missing. I did do a reboot and it fixed it for a while but has done it again.
I'm not sure when this started. I just happen to notice it a few days ago. Could it have anything to do with new year? Maybe somehow linked to the "do not disturb" bug, which I'm experencing as well but understand that it should correct itself on the 7th.

LEAP WIFI problem after updated to 4.2.2

I've just upgraded my tablet to 4.2.2.
Now I can't connect to my company's network which uses password LEAP. Major problem for me.
Seems this is a common problem across a number of Android platforms.
Does anyone know how to resolve on the Tab Z (not rooted). ?

Macbook Pro 13" 2010 Setting Wifi Standard

Hi everyone,
I have experienced difficulties in trying to get my MBP 2010 to work with a network at a hotel on vacation. I know that the workaround/fix is to set your Notebooks Wifi standard to a fixed standard 802.11b. Is there any way for me to do that on the MBP? I would appreciate any idea (third party software taken into consideration) or workaround there is.
The problem is that I do not have access to the router and therefore cannot set a different standard for it, or fool around to check.
I know that setting the standard will work since many Intel Wifi cards on Windows Notebooks have implemented this feature into their driver, which we used to get in the last time.
Since I will be going to the same location again this year I would appreciate it if you could help me.

The problem I have is pretty simple. Whenever I try to establish the connection it will not connect as though the password was spelled wrong. This however is not the case.
The same thing happens in windows until the described measures are taken. So I guess I will just have to stick to ethernet for the time being.

N80 and WiFi EAP-LEAP

I have had huge problems with WiFi, hence I got it firmware upgraded to the p.t. latest fw version 4.0623.0.41 RM-92 N80 (03).
Now WiFi and Bluetooth works alot better and sure alot faster. I recommed getting latest fw !
I discovered that LEAP is supported for Wifi and since I have LEAP on the job i though I would give it a try.
Now I am the network administrator on my job, so I have 100% controll over the wireless installations etc.
I can not get the N80 to work with LEAP at all !
I get user authenticated, byt I never get an IP from DHCP.
I did debug, and the phone doesnt sent any DHCP requests etc, as clients must.
Ok - then I tell the phone to use static IP.
Still notthing happends - I get user auth ok and thats it !
I can only conclude that Nokia N80 and Cisco Systems Aironet platform doesnt work.
Are there ANYONE who has LEAP running on the N80 ??
I for sure would like to hear about the setup, so please di tell.

I am running a broadcast (public) SSID, and running on the N80 Internet Edition firmware.
I suppose I may have to accept that the N80 WIFI just does not work with EAP et al., I have debugged the EAP negotiation on the AP and the RADIUS server and everything appears normal - however the N80 will not assume an IP address nor will it pass traffic when performing link state tests from the AP (I am using a Cisco AP1220, 802.11g radio, and image c1200-k9w7-mx.123-8.JEA).
Such is life - hopefully the N95 will work...

Acrobat 9 Standard missing paper sizes.

I recently had Acrobat 9 Standard installed on my work computer. Previously I had CS4 with Acrobat Pro installed but had to transfer the license to a coworker. I'm now frustrated because all of the page sizes that I typically use are gone. All fo the Arch and Ansi sizes are missing. In the print preferences dialog I tried to add a new page size called Arch E1 and I got an error saying "Not allowed to modify system or printer defined paper size (Arch E1). Only user defined paper size can be modified or deleted." Apparently acrobat knows that Arch E1 is a standard paper size but its not available in the paper size selection menu. I can go through and make a bunch of new custom paper sizes and give them alternate names but that's a little bit frustrating to have to go through and set up my own paper sizes when Acrobat already knows they exist. I guess my question is how do I get Acrobat 9 Standard to show the Arch and Ansi paper sizes?

Unfortunately, this is only available when using the Pro. version of Acrobat.

Wifi connnection annoyance on N95

Hello again,
Another problem I have with my N95 since the firmware upgrade about a month ago is that everytime I connect to my home wifi I am asked for the WEP key - does the phone not store this info? It used to remember the key (before the firmware upgrade) and only lost it if the phone was switched off. Now, everytime I close the broswer I am prompted again. Is there a way round this (without disabling the WEP encryption)?

How to configure Lumia 920 to use EAP-SIM security, In the specification page it say support EAP-SIM.
I Can't choose security type from WiFi setting, even from advanced setting. Lumia 920 always ask username & password everytime I try to connect to my operator WiFi, in blackberry I can choose EAP-SIM Security & don't need entering username & password.

sam_kara, this thread is about WPA-Enterprise with EAP-SIM. In your case, you are using TLS or TTLS or … you have to figure out which outer and inner EAP types your company uses. Then you can vote for it:
