I bought BB 8520 curve before 2 weeks..now im facing a problem with ear piece..im able to talk only through headset and not through the device..im really frustrated..i gave the mobile to service.i l get only after a week..now im usin an ordinary nokia 1100 mobile..in world ruined me..i ave got also a problem in bluetooth (can send and receive files)....in world....

Did the same headset worked before? Then the button might be broken.
If it is a new headset, which phone do you use? Still your Nokia C2-01? Then, does this help?

I just arranged a repair with apple. Yes its inconvenient to be without a phone for a while but if your phone is in warranty its good to get it looked at professionally!

Try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again. You will not lose data by resetting, but it can cure some glitches after installing new software or apps.

Problem with ear piece

I am using the communicator 9500 model. Recently I started having earing problems when receiving a call. I can only hear a caller with the speaker phone, i.e. when the phone is openned. This affect my privacy, as everyone could hear my conversations. However, when I take the battery off and turn it on again, the ear piece would start working, but for a few hour only. What do I do and what could be the problem?

I am having problems with my ear pieces being pick up by bluetooth. Do you have to BUY a special earpiece for the iphone 5?

I have two ear pieces, one practically new, I used with the iphone 4 I had. The iphone 5 is not discovering the earpieces, and I have no hands free capability. Do I have to buy a special earpiece for the 5 or is there a patch or something coming out?

You do not need a special headset for your iPhone. Did you pair the headset with the new iPhone? You may have to read the instructions for the headset to see if you have to put it in "discovery" mode before it will show up on the iPhone's Bluetooth settings page.

Try your volume buttons, if the slider does not show, then there is a short in the iPhone charging port. Clean charging port with toothbrush and small amount of isopropyl alcohol. If still problem the replacement part is iPhone charging port with flex cable, lower mic, and home button flex connector, all a single less than $10 part. Apple handles this problem with Warranty or AppleCare with Replacement iPhone 4S, if no coverage it will cost $199 for replacement iPhone 4S.

Microphone no longer works with ear piece

I have a BB 9800, and I recently downloaded the latest 6.0 OS Bundle 2921. Since then, I cannot use the ear piece when making calls. The speaker/handset menu goes back and forth and there is no sound in the ear piece. I can no longer take calls in the car while I drive. How do you resolve the problem?

Something may have gone wrong during the OS load, which would then mean reloading would be the thing to do. Or, there could be something wrong with that OS package, and you should try a different one.
You may also want to investigate the use of BBSAK (bbsak.org) to perform the wipe it is capable of.
You may also want to try this procedure to perhaps narrow down the precise causal item:
Load your OS "bare bones"...if anything is optional, do not install it.
If the behavior presents immediately, then try a different OS with step 1
If the behavior does not immediately present, then run for as long as it takes for you to be sure that the behavior will not present.
Add one thing -- no matter how tempting, just one.
If the behavior does not present immediately, then again run for long enough to be sure it will not have the same problem
Repeat steps 4 and 5 until all things are loaded or the behavior presents
When the behavior presents, you know the culprit...the last thing you loaded.
If the behavior does not re-present, then you know that either step 1 or 2 cured it.
If the behavior presents no matter what, then you likely have a hardware level issue for which no amount of OS or software can cure.

Left ear piece stopped working w/my iPod mini

Just like the subject line says, the left ear piece stopped working with my iPod mini after using a regular pair of black headphones for a couple weeks. Gee, this must mean your headphones were garbage? Well I purchased a pair of $5 ear phones that didn't work well at all with my iPod. Gee, I keep buying cheap ear phones. How about purchasing the authentic Apple ear buds? Well that's exactly what I did 3 weeks ago. After purchasing the ear buds for $30 that were made by Apple with the assumption it must work just fine, I tested them and found out they didn't work, however I plugged them into other devices and it worked just fine. I exchanged the pair and same problem.
So yeah, something is effed up with my iPod where it won't play any audio in the left ear bud, however when I plug my ear phones or headphones into the slot on the iPod about half way in then I can hear the music just fine on both sides.
What do I do? Am I stuck with Apple's problem with their product for good? Can they do something about this problem? Is there any steps I can follow to open the 'pod and fix it myself?

This has helped people hearing warbled sound through their earbuds. Maybe it could help you, too?

When I opened it I discovered that the connection to the little print (?) where you plug in your headphones was loose (it is a piece with both the headphone plug and the hold function). So I simply reconnected it, and voila, my ipod was fixed! Good luck!"
"I had the same problem and fixed it by following the procedures to opening the mini to replace the battery. Then you will see the CB that the headphones plugs into. This CB (circuit board) plugs into the main ( mother board )
Mine had worked it's way partly out. I pushed this plug back on securely and the headphones now work. Hope this helps. You can find the instructions for changing the battery by googling changing the battery on a mini IPOD."

Sound is coming from the ear-piece and its really really low

Title pretty much says it.
My iPhone is acting really weird ever since this morning, sound isnt coming from the bottom speakers anymore but instead from the ear-piece and its really low.
I tried resetting the phone with holding down the home and sleep button at the same time but its still the same.
Anyone else having this problem?

Connect the headset to a computer or stereo or anything else with 3,5mm minijcack to see if the headset is ok of they work there then your headset is defect if not your phone is the problem

I have experienced not being able to hear on the ear piece and only the speaker phone. Is anyone else having this problem, if so why?

The same exact thing happened to me last week! I called Apple and they told me to blow into the ear jack and insert the headphone jack into the opening a few times quickly. They said that dust could settle in there. Strange! I tried this over and over - NOTHING happened! Oddly enough my ring tones worked normally but that was it. Apple told me that they could not help me over the phone and that I should take the phone into an Apple store for repair. I was really upset. My phone is about four months old. The next day at work I played around with it and it finally worked normally! There had to have been a problem other than a little dust if it is happening to other people! Come on Apple! This is an expensive phone and customer service should be able to be more of a help.

I've used several, and landed on the Plantronics 655. I think a newer version is out now (the 665, I think). The headset is small and sounds great, it comes with several different earpieces to suit the size of your ear canal, the recharging options are good, and it has a good battery life.
I just started using a Aliph Jawbone, and so far it's very very good, too. I've heard very good reviews for it from others.
P.S. I've used both with the iPhone, no problems.

Cannot adjust ear piece sound volume while Incoming call

Receiving an imcoming call with ear-piece plugged, the sound volume becomes maximum and cannot be adjusted from both ear-piece and iPhone side button.
Playing music, the sound volume is normal and ear-piece and side button are adjustable.

Does your ear piece on the phone rattle?

my volume is set to about mid level on the ear piece built into the phone itself. when i first listen to the ATT voice setup automated voice, I noticed it was rattling the the phone speaker.
Then someone called me, and sure enough, it sounds like a crackle, or rattle in the ear piece. Turn it down where I can barely hear it, and it stops the rattle.

no problem here (or hear) - or with anyone I have talked too that has one. Mine sounds fine.
Here's how you fix it. Drive to your local Apple store and ask them to replace the phone with a non-rattle version. Maybe that one was designed for young children or snake wranglers in west texas.
