I recently purchased Adobe Photoshop Elements 11 Special Edition from Costco. It will not accept my serial no when loading. The only serial no that it has is 18 characters. What do I do?

IPhone Alarm Sound Used on My Name is Earl

Tonight (09-27-07) I was watching "My Name is Earl", yes I know...we are all supposed to be smarter than that here but, they used the iPhone's Alarm sound about 3 times during the prison scenes to simulate problems within the prison. The showed a big horn speaker and you heard the iPhone Alarm sound. If you get a chance to catch a re-broadcast you will know in a second that's where they got the sound. Maybe it's a royalty free sound and Apple took it from the same library of sounds that the TV producers got theirs from. Again, kind of dumb but thought it was worth mentioning.

Yup... Apple swiped it from "The Hollywood Edge" a sound library used for scoring movies and tv shows

If you don't have it for reference, the manual might come in handy > US/Boot_Camp_Install-Setup.pdf
After it loads, Command + F to find information regarding the drivers.

Web gallery (Earl Grey) missing title

When I create a Web gallery using the Earl Grey template, there is no html
title tag in the generated gallery. This means the browser displays no
title, and if you create a bookmark, its name is untitled.
Is there a way to set the title without resorting to hand-editing the
generated html?

(embarrassed) I thought I tried that; however, I just went back and tried it again and you are right. Is there any way to have the Collection Title used as the title? The reason I ran into this issue is because I was trying to leave the Title field blank. What I read in the PDF version of the manual (while I was waiting for my plane this afternoon), it seems pretty comprehensive. I was particularly interested in what it had to say about creating your own templates.
Supposedly, it will remember if I left invisibles showing in templates (one of my big complaints with Pages 1). I'll find out soon enough. I must say that opening my two documents I use for answering posts here in discussions sure did open faster & navigating an 11-page table was much faster.
Another good thing I noticed, the font used for the serial number is much clearer & there were no confusing characters - O/0, S/5, etc.

Firefox 4 screwed up, I returned to earlir version & error message re Chrom comes up 8 times now when starting Firefox. how can I fix?

Firefox 4 lost my bookmarks sidebar, started my home page with Yahoo finance in a strange place on Yahoo and generally gave me fits. I ran the install on an earlier version of Firefox which works great after I click on an error message eight times to get Firefox to start. The error box said Chrome Registration Failed the text in the box said "Firefox could not install this item because of Chrome Registration. Please contact the author about this problem." I felt comfortable with version 3.8??? and Firefox 4 isn't comfortable for me and now the earlier version is messed up. How do I get back into my comfort zone. My computer experience started with Heath Disk Operating System, CPM, Windows 1 through 7. I don't like Firefox 4 or Chrome internet browsers. Windows IE caused problems early on with virus and male ware.

Why does new version of Adobe reader for Windows 8 not give signed and saved document the "signed" extension when you save the file after placing a signature... this worked on an earler version.

I have upgraded my PC to new Windows 8 machine .. Now when I place a signature on document and save it does not automatically place a "signed" extension on the filename. Previous version on my machine always did this.
Why is this , can I set up my new version to do same...

When you "save as" as opposed to simply "save", there is sometimes a different location for the file to be saved. When you "save as" to the same location as an original, you will bewarned that a file already exists with that name and be asked if you're sure you want ot overwrite the original file. If you didn't see that when "saving as", you probably saved the signed file to a different location.

There are alternative ways of how you can recompile or recreate on least if you are unable to compile the object.
1. Run compile apps schema from add one
2. compile using utlrp script ( u have tried this)
3. compile using adcompsc.sql script located at $AD_TOP/sql
4. If none of this work you may recreate the object using *.pls or *.plb file located at OS level, you may find which binary file with the help of user_objects dictionary (otherwise simply use toad or third party softwares to identify and recreate them)

Add vi from earler version to LabVIEW 8.0 Project

I have a large number of vi's from 7.1 and I need to add them to 8.0 projects. What is the best way to add them rather than create new vi's?

Hello,
I would recommend copying the files you want to add to your project to the directory where you have your other 8.0 VIs for that project. Then you can open those VIs in 8.0, save them in 8.0, and add them to your project. This way you'll still have your 7.1 copies in case you need them later.

Download error - Stole a Motorcycle, Earl series 3

Hi:
I purchased this originally on my AppleTV, the whole series downloaded but this episode failed. When I check for downloads in iTunes on my Windows Vista PC the download starts but then failes in the last 0.1Mb with an 8008 error.
I have tried;
* restarting the AppleTV to clear out the cache then checking for downloads, but it fails each time.
* deleting the partially downloaded files from my music/downloads directory then checking for downloads on the windows PC, but it fails each time.
The error number is 8008, the error message says that the file may be partially corrupt.
Everything else seems to work fine. I buy several regular shows off iTunes which download just fine daily.
Thanks in advance for any help that can be offered.

Sounds like you are used to DLing shows, and just this one is bad on the Apple server.
Go into your purchase history and report a problem to Apple.

there used to be a place on the apple website to find earlier versions of apple software ... but I can't find it, now ... i need to downgrade to any version of iTunes 7.0 until all the bugs get fixed in 8.0 ( playlists, ratings , whatever ...) any and all help will be greatly appreciated ...
does anyone know where to find it?
