Earliest/Latest start - Earliest/Latest finish in master recipe scheduling

Hi everybody,
I'm struggling here to understand why only phases 0061 and 0071 have different earliest and latest starts and finishes.
This is a very simple example with all the relevant phases being set for a 1 hr duration.
This is a sequencial process (0011 - 0021 - 0031 - 0051 - 0061 - 0071 - 0081), except phases 0041 and 0091, which are not relevant for the analysis.

Any idea about what else could I check?

Hi Caetano.
This example uses backward scheduling.
What I don't understand is the different earliest and latest start time for phase 0071 and 0061.
My screenshot shows a example of a master recipe scheduling having as finish date 28/03. So, following a backward scheduling way:
phase 0091: not relevant (duration = zero)
phase 0081: duration = 1 hour. Finish = 24:00:00 / Start = 23:00:00 (for both earliest and latest dates)
phase 0071: duration = 1 hour. But then, latest finish = 23:00:00 and earliest finish = 22:00:00 ...
back to phase 0051 you can see that this doesn't happen.
Basically what I don't get is:
If the operations have a duration of 1 hour each, why latest start of phase 0061 is 21:00:00 and the latest finish of phase 0050 is 20:00:00 and not 21:00:00 ?

Btw, I have viewed all these notes 368289.1, 603233.1, 399056.1, 329692.1, 1146414.1 already, but these don't seem to solve my problem because in each of these are under assumption that the initial Joining Date of the employee (i.e. Effective Start Date and Latest Start Date) is entered correctly without an issue, and these notes talk about dealing with 'Updating or Correcting' the data.
But In my case the pre-conditions are different, although those are making the system to respond in the same way (i.e. showing same error) some how.
As far as deleting the employees is concerned, yes that could be one option, but I am not really sure about adapting this solution as the dates I used in my case were just example dates, and in actual these employees are created almost 1 month back and they are already used in Projects module, CRM module and others.

Send email notification in latest start and latest end

Hi all,
My requirement is to send email notification on latest start and latest end. For latest start, a notification needs to be sent to the manager asking him to start processing the Leave request.
Am not too concerned about the latest end, since the latest end takes the workitem(MODELED ACtion) to the next manager, where I can insert a email step in the workflow.
My concern is how can i send an email to the manager if he has not started processing the lave request within say 3 days

If you are looking to send notification ASA work item reaches a latest end then follow the below steps.
1. Open the step for which you have set the latest end and click latest end tab.
2. Under the same tab you will find a Drop down box you will find two entries 1 Display Text 2 Modeled choose the 1 option. and define the text in the task description by choosing Latest End description.
3. Choose the container element you might have populated the email address.
Now the configuration that you need to make sure to send a mail to external email id is SCOT settings if SMTP node is configured then this node would be sending mails to the

Deadline moniter - Dynamic latest start / latest end date and time

Hi all,
My requirement is to have the latest start and latest end time made dynamic. This is because each Personnel area or business unit has different requirements as to when they the notification and escalation to happen.
For example -
Business unit 1 wants escalation to happen after 5 days where as Business unit 2 wants escalation in 2 days itself.
Any ideas here

You can create a method in your BO to calculate the date for calculating deadline and pass it on to the workflow .....
Calculate the date as per your requirement and later populate it in the deadline step using the EXP expression
for eg. if you have 5 days calculate the date as per 5 days and time 1 min etc...

User Decision - Loop in Latest Start

Hi Experts,
My requirment is to send reminder emails every day till user responds to workitem. After 6 days, need to forward the workitem to superior. Here for forwarding the workitem, i'm using Latest End for user decision. For sending reminder emails, i'm trying to use Latest Start with the help of loop (for each day). Latest Start is triggering after specified time, but loop is not working. Can you plz tell me, why is it so? and how can we handle this.

Use Requested End of the task as deadline monitoring and action will be "Modeled". Then one outcome will be appeared. in that outcome first use a step to find out agents to whom you want to send the remainder mail using method and function module "RH_GET_ACTORS". Then create a loop according to your requirement and increase a counter to maintain the loop iteration. Inside the loop you can send the remainder mail. Once the loop will be finished use "Process control" to obsolete the particular step which is lying in current agents inbox. So that step will be obsolete after all remainder so one outcome will be appeared in that main task and in that new outcome you can create the same task to send the same workitem to suprior's sap inbox.

Find the latest Start date after a gap in date Field For each id

Hi All, Can anyone help me in this, as it is so urgent ..My requirement is to get the latest start date after a gap in a month for each id and if there is no gap for that particular id minimum date for that id should be taken….Given below the scenario

If you're on an earlier version than 2012, let me know. It's an easy rewrite but the final code isn't as efficient.

'Latest Start Date' & 'Effective Start Date' are displayed as different

Issue Background:
I have told following steps to follow while creating an employee to my end users.
Case: An employee record has to be entered on 02-05-2012 who joined on 01-01-2010.
Steps to be followed:
- Enter the basic details of the employee (on 'People' form) / Left the 'Effective Start Date' and 'Latest Start Date' as default date i.e. 02-05-2012
- Ctrl + S
- Click on 'Assignment' button
- Enter Basic Assignment information (The effective date on Assignment form is being displayed as '02-05-2012')
- Ctrl + S / Close the assignment form
- Change the 'Latest Start Date' = 01-01-2010
- Ctrl + S / Some warnings appear and then the record is saved.
My end user created at least 100 employees following the same procedure.
Issue:
With at least 5 employees there is a case that when I query those employees I am able to see a different Effective Start Date (i.e. 01-01-2010) and Latest Start Date (i.e. 02-05-2012). And when I open the assignment form the effective date displayed there is '02-05-2012' as well. ....Means some how in these records the assignment is created for these employees starting from 02-05-2012..rather than 01-01-2010.
When I try to change the Latest Start Date to 01-01-2010 then system shows me this error --> '_APP-PAY-06841: Person changes exist between the old date and new date._'
I don't know EITHER how this case was produced while entering the date OR what is the solution of this problem.
Can any body help in this regard?

If it is good in the Firefox SafeMode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one.

Why again we need latest start and requested end ?

You don't need them, they are there if you want them.
Latest start = time that you want work on the workitem started by
Requested end = a "soft" latest end

What does 'Latest start reached' in workflow

I am still new in WF and am picking up the skill.
In our current PR WF design, once a button in un-tick in PR, it will trigger notification to SBWP and outlook.
The email sent to outlook is always not immediate , is this because of Latest start reached in email step? what does it mean? and how to make it immediate?
If in between the time, the button is untick and the approver is already approved, the email step will be excluded and WF will proceed with the next step , how do i prevent this from happening?

Second question you need to create a method that runs periodically(every 10 minutes) that will check whether the checkbox is checked. If yes put a condition step that checks if flag is set. If yes no mail step. Checkbox you are not meaning Status management stuff. If it is then makes use of wait for Event step that will take care of your requirement.

In CJ20N, for internal activities, there is a "Person assignement" tab. And in this tab there is "date" field.
The explaination of this date is:
"Latest date for the start or finish of the split.
You can use the indicator to determine whether it is a case of the start or the finish date."
My problem is: where can I find the "indicator" mentioned?

There is no specific indicator for this.
Go to internal tab - you will see a field called DistKeyCapRqIn
if this is blank then the system goes to the work centre master data for distribution of work load - if the work centre is blank then system defaults to earliest dates - which gets transferred to the person assignment tab.
Now go bak to the internal tab and set field DistKeyCapRqIn to SAP030 - you will now see that the dates in the person assignment are showing latest dates.
The dates for the activities can be seen based on scheduing in the dates tab

But now it is too late because the iOS 6 is now availabel, is it recommendet to donwload iOS 6 on iPhone 4 or not?
