Early schedule start date, early schedule finish date

I want early schedule start date, early schedule finish date and project cost plan in my report. This is a PS requirement. In the standard cube (0PS_C02) I can find actual start date and actual finish date. Has anybody used early schedule start date and early schedule finish date in the reports? If yes then did you get it using standard cube/ODS or you went for enhancement?

HI,
He have to go for few tables in which u can find all the data.
Firstly u have to enhance the datasource .
First go to table AFKO here you insert  AFUNR (Order Number) this table you will get AUFPL .
Then take AUFLP and go to AFVV table and insert AFUPL . you will get all the activites and all dates of each activity  for example early start date ,early finish date, foirecost date etc.
Thanks and Regards

  • Planned order creation with PDS valid on only order start date and not finish date

    Hi All,
We have requirement to allow creation of planned order manually if production version is valid on order start date and not finish date.  This is because lead time of order is longer. I refered OSS notes 385602. I could find out solution for this is implementation of OSS note 694140 to change validity mode at activity level to consider start date of first produce activity  in validity interval. Problem is even If I create order in APO by implementiong this note planned order is not transfered to ECC and it gets stuck with error production version not valid.
Is there any way in ECC to control this? Any config or customization?
    Regards,
    Santosh

    Nilesh,
I think there is a simple procedural skip happening in your business process. You are right when a planned order is created after MRP it would default assign it to the first available production version. 2options available for us,
    1. First use transaction MF50 and do the line loading and assign the quantites to the production versions/Production lines, so that the actual capacity planning is getting completed. This way you can have planned orders with both the production versions and matching to your actual line capacity.
    2. Use Quota arrangement concept, to automatically split the Planned orders during MRP for a percentage based on individual production versions.
Now when backflush is performed S225 table is updated and Planned order qty also gets reduced.
    Hope this helps....

  • Scheduling as per given project finish date

I need to know if it is possible to arrange the project structure to do below described scheduling.
Urgent reply will be highly appricated..
    thanks,
    he.
    I would like to give the "project finish date " ;
    I would like p6v7 would schedule such that ;
    - project finish date would be the date that I gave,
    - all activity dates would be defined accordingly even if they should have been start and/or finish before project start date.
I should say that there is not any resource / cost assignment. Just activities/ original durations/ and relationships have been entered.

    user9166529,
By you saying "project finish date" I have to assume that you have some sort of mandatory completion date such as a contract deadline.
Or do you mean that you want to add a date constraint to the project finish date such as "must finish on or before" your date of completion?
If needed, you could even apply a "mandatory finish" date constraint (not highly recommended).
On the other hand, by building your initial schedule you will be able to determine your planned finish date by tracing your longest path. If this completion date does not meet your needs you then would need to adjust your scheduled activities (durations) to fit within your planned finish date.
After settling on your initial schedule, save it as a baseline (copy) in order to perform periodic comparisons between your original (baseline) and the current (real time) schedules. The result of performing these comparisons will produce your schedule variance data.
    Hope this helps,

  • Work Order Basic Start Date and Basic Finish Date to be changed

    Hi,
Currently the business creates work orders without specifying the work resulting which the start and fish dates on work order are same. Also we have automatic scheduling turned off. In spite of this If I am trying to manual modify the basic start and basic finish dates on work order it does not allow me to do so. This issue is seen with work orders which are Released whereas orders with status outstanding have no issues. Could anyone please let me know what could be the reason?
    Thanks,
    Vinay

Please check whether Scheduling type only capacity requirement is configured.
If yes, choose this scheduling type in order, you can able to change Basic start date & basic finish date.

  • PR Delivery date as project finished date

    HI,
When user is generating Service PR from project system, its delivery date is taken as a Finished date of the project. Further SAP is not allowing to edit this date.
Can anyone let me know why it is happening. My user do not want delivery date as finished date of the project, he would like to put his own delivery date.
    Kindly  suggest
    regards
    Sanjay Karnekar

    Hi,
I think that the date comes from the scheduling of the network activity. Go to the project builder and then display the material. On the Purchasing Data tab change the settings from 'Align the finish date' to the 'Manual requirements date'.
If you'd like to change this setting globally, you need to maintain the customizing under
Dates -> Scheduling of networks -> Specify scheduling parameters
    Cheers, Aleksandra

  • The Basic Finish date is a Day earlier than Planned date

    Dear Experts,
I am getting a strange behaviour about Maintenance order Basic Finish Date when generated from Maintenance Plan. I have Customizing settings (TCode : OPU7) Adjust: "Adjust Basic dates, adjust dep reqmts to order start date" and scheduling type : Backwards in Time. For this setting Order Basic Finish Date is a day earlier than Planned date , but when Schduling type is Backwards instead of Backwards in Time, Basic Finish date is same as Planned date.
Example: The start of cycle of a monthly plan is 14-Nov-2010, 1st Planned date is 14-Dec-2010. When Scheduling type is " Backwards in time" , the order generated is having Basic Finish Date as 13-Dec-2010 .And when Scheduling type is "Backwards" , Basic finish date is 14-Dec-2010.
    Thank you.

    Hi there,
Please check the primilinairy buffer in your strategy package. This field have an effect on your order start date.
But I agree on Pete, you should use a forward planning.

  • The system could not calculate the fiscal year start or finish date message

While running the transaction FMO1 and FMOA in funds management we have confronted with the following problem.
    Message no. FI 500
The system could not calculate the fiscal year start or finish date.
WE are using year dependent fiscal year and are implementing Funds Management for the first time.
    SAP Version – 4.0 B
    Priority – Urgent
For the same problem in Version 4.5 and 4.6 there is a note number 213713 available on service.sap.com.

    No, there is no bug.
Those activities that have asterisks (Stars) next to their start or finish dates (despite having no constraints) have "External Early Start" or "External Late Finish" dates, respectively, assigned to them. These dates get imported with XER and represent links to activities of those projects that are not in your database but in the external database where the XER originated from.
To remove, filter out all such activities (with stars) and delete their "External" dates. However, be aware that Start or Finish dates of such activities might change if you delete theire External dates. If getting rid of asterisks does alter your schedule, ask the person who sent you the XER to confirm start/finish dates of all such (starred) activiites.
    Cheers

  • Finish Date Moving Back In Time When I Start The Task And Then F9

New to P6 and for the most part love it! Am having a hard time understanding why my finish dates are moving back in time. The tasks have no predecessors or successors and I set a start on or after constraint. Can anyone help me with this please?

In my opinion the finish date will only move back if the activity is after data date and there is no predecessor, once tou schedule or do F9 it will move back to adjust the start date to data date. The other reason will be if your constrain of start on after is a date which is before the current stat date of the activity, and once you schedule (F9) the start dates will move back to the contraint dates, hence your finish date will also move backwards according to the constraint dates.

  • Difference Between Basic Date Scheduling and Lead Time Scheduling.

    Dear FRndz,
Kindly help me out the difference between the Basic Date Scheduling and Lead Time Scheduling.
    Regards,
    SRini

    Dear,
    Basic scheduling :
    1.Basic dates are calculated.
    2.Exact to day.
    3.No cap reqmts are generated.
4.Uses the inhouse production time from material master.
5.Carried out automatically during planning run.
In basic date calculation ( order start date/ order finish date ) the system always
    calculates backward scheduling.
    1. From the reqmts date the system subtracts the GR processing time to
    calculate the order fininsh date.
    2. From the order finish date the system subtracts the inhouse production time to calculate the order start date.
    3. From the order start date the system subtracts the opening period given in scheduling margin key to calculate the order opening date.
    Lead time scheduling :
    1.Exact to second
2.ie production start date /time and finish date and time are calculated.
    3. cap reqmts are generated.
    4. uses times from routing.
    5. carried out only if the scheduling mode in MD02 screen is kept with indicator 2.
From the order finish date the system subtracts the float after production to calculate the production finish date.
From the production finish date the individual operations in the routing are scheduled backwards to calculate production start date.
From the production start date the system subtracts the float before production
    to calculate order start date.

  • Auto TECO Orders for which finished date has been reached-Periodic Job

    Dear PP GURUS N EXPERTS,
My company want to TECO all the production order automatically for which finished date has been reached or (Finish date is before current date).
On SDN, I have found that it can be carried our by scheduling the variant of PPIO_ENTRY or COHV. and it will be a periodic job.
I want to know that for this which parameters I have to select and where / how I mention that order finish date has been reached. Since it will be a periodic job.
Early response will be highly appreciated.
    With thanks,
    DSC

    Dear DSC
You can use tranaction code CO44, define a variant for periodic job.
    Important selection parameters :
Status selection profile : define which kind of production orders you want to set TECO indicator, for example with status CNF or DLV.
Basic finish date : define basic finish date, for example if you want to TECO the production orders whose basic finish date is less than or equal current date, when you create the variant, selection variable can be D ( D: Dynamic date calculation ), name of variable can be "current date"
Actions : please select the indicator "complete Technically".
You can have a try, please let me know the result.

  • Production finish date differs from basic finish date in backward schedulin

    Hi, experts.
When i do scheduling the planned order,
production finish date differs from basic finish date in backward scheduling as below.
    Scheduling: Backward
    Basic finish date : 2010.01.22
    Basic start date : 2010.01.21
    Production finish date : 2010.01.23  09:00:00
    Production start date ; 2010.01.22 03:57:09
    *GR time : 0.
    *Scheduling Margin key : 0.
I don't know why production finish date set in 2010.01.23 09:00. ( Basic finish date +1 day)
    Please reply me.
    Thanks.

    Dear Jong,
    1) what is the parameter used in MRP run, Basic scheduling or lead time scheduling
    2) you must find a exception Mssg for that plan order in MD04
    3) basic scheduling take the time from material master & lead time scheduling will take time
    from Routing

  • CJ20n - Project Finish Date - Purchase Requisitions

    Hi all,
I have a question about the "Finish Date" field in CJ20n - Basic Data Tab.
What effects does the date in the field have? (Is it just for information?)
We would like to enter a date as a finish date and if someone tries to create a purchase requisition on the project dated after the finish date, there should be a message or warning that prevents the creation. Is this possible with that field or any other field?
    Thanks
    Anne

    Hi Anne,
The Finish Date field in the Basic Data tab page doesnt have any adverse effects as such. The field implies the planned finish date of your project. In certain cases this date is specified and in certain the system determines it by way of scheduling. It is not a mandatory filed and you can still proceed with your project without specifying the Finish Date.
Coming to the 2nd query. I dont think system will prevent you from creating a PR when this particular Finish Date is reached. However you can control it by system/user status. Once this date is reached you can set a status which will prohibit the creation of PR.
    Hope this helps.
    Best Regards,

  • How to make the 'Finish Date' field Editable in Project server 2013

    Hi All,
In Project server 2013 on premises deployment, When I try to create a new enterprise project [Also in case of new custom project type], Only the 'Start Date' field is available. The 'Finish Date' field is by default taking the value of the 'start Date' itself.
I am unable to make this 'Finish Date' field editable.
Any pointers on this would be very helpful,
    Thanks
    Shanky

    Shanky --
When you create a new project in either Microsoft Project Professional or Project Online, the system does not allow you to enter both a Start date and a Finish date for the project.  Here is how the software works:
You enter the Start date of the project.
You completely plan the project with tasks, task dependencies, task Durations, and assigning resources to tasks.
Based on the Start date you provide, plus all of the task information, the software calculates the Finish date of the project for you.  So, you cannot provide both the Start date and the Finish date, nor is they any way to force the system to allow
you to do this.  Hope this helps.
