Earphone bought less than a week ago and this kind of warran

Hi to all out there, I bought a EP 480 earphone less than a week ago and an accident happened while I was listening, someone bumped into me and one side of the earphone wire jus torn and split into 2. I called up earlier to speak to a Creative technical support side employee and he told me the warranty doesnt cover mishandling. Is that true? I mean its like I went to the store last week as my old earphone that came with the mp3 player was spoilt then I bought a new one less than a week ago. It is not as if I purposely wanted to make it spoil and further more it is 39 bucks I do feel the pinch though:robotmad:

    Or just get the Photography deal subscription for $10/month.  I promise you will never regret it, and a year from now, you might even be a famous image manipulator!  On the other hand, if you don't have Photoshop, you will never be a famous image manipulator.  You know it makes sense. :-)

  • My Apple Care plan expired less than a week ago, and my phone has died. Will Apple have any mercy on me?

    I am beyond livid that my two-year apple care plan is now expired on my iPhone 3G and my phone has completely gone kaput. I attempted to go to AT&T yesterday and just get the iPhone 4, but with the iPhone 5 lurking just around the corner, I would have to pay full value when it comes out in a few weeks/months.
    My brother gave me his old iPhone; will I be able to activate it with no problem? I read an article somewhere that I'd have to sign a new two-year agreement with AT&T to activate the old phone, again defeating the purpose of using an interim phone before the 5 comes out.
    Someone help!!

    Actually MArc, it is you who needs to get the story straight.
    Apple Care on an iPhone only extends the warranty one year past the original first year, giving you 2 years in total.

    Just bought less than a week ago and wondered if ipad4 just came out would it go to target the same time it comes out in apple stores? I bought the iPad 3 there and I'm gonna exchange it. Just thought I would ask!

    I'm not sure when Target will get it and usually the stores don't know, either. To be sure though, I suggest you take it back immediately (in case they have a 7 vs. 14 day return policy because it's a tech product.) Try to get your money back vs. a credit, and hold off until the new one comes out. Because you did not buy it from Apple, the extended thirty day exchange probably will not work at Target.
    If you must take a credit, wait for Target to get the ipad 4 or buy it from Apple and use the Target credit over time for things you usually buy there. I think, because the holidays are coming, Apple resellers like Target will get them soonafter the Apple launch. (I've never studied Apple's pattern on this, but it probably wouldn't matter because this release took care of the importance of doing that.)
    Erase, restore, and bring it and all the cables, etc. that it came with back to Target ASAP!!!

    Take it back to the store where you bought it for a hardware check and/or exchange/refund.
    If they say "that's normal" then get your money back.
    Nothing worst than a annoying fan you can't do anything about.
    I has a eMac that did that, sounded like a vacuum cleaner running all the time, I'm so glad I trashed it and will never buy a machine I can hear running in a near silent library.
    Some advice, the higher end models with a dedicated graphics do tend to operate cooler, it's the one's with only CPU graphics (Intel) regardless if a Mac or PC that tend to make a lot of noise.
    Graphics should have never been put on the CPU, it just doubles the heat and doubles the fan noise.

I was able to make calls, now when I get this message, I can't connect to cell service, which defeats the point of having a cell phone! The phone is brand new and has not been dropped, damaged, or otherwise mishandled. Did I get a defective phone or what?

    Hi! I got in touch with AppleCare last evening finally. They helped me clear the data blockage or whatever. It sounds like this is an issue they are aware of, because they said the phone was not defective. However, it happened again today and it took several times of me doing the resetting of the network and hard staring the phone before the problem cleared. It is just frustrating because it is hard to go without cell service for long periods of time. And no, I have not done anything with the SIM card. I don't know what it is or how it would be accessed on an iPhone! This might be something Verizon wants to take a closer look at with Apple.

    You would be better off to sell your current iPhone while still in Canada and
    get a new one in France. Your current Canadian iPhone will not work on 4G/LTE
    in France, and your warranty will be only valid in Canada.

    I took my iphone to the nearest retail store in my country and they told me they could not help me becasue I had bought my phone in the U.S. Problem is, the phone is less than six months old and it is already presenting problems.

    The warranty is only good in the country of purchase.

    I upgraded to a Droid Maxx about 2 weeks ago and all seemed well. Last Friday, I started receiving an "Unfortunately, Messaging has stopped" error message randomly--sometimes when I was writing a text, sometimes when I would open other apps, there was no rhyme or reason to when it would occur. Now it also appears that I am not receiving some of my texts. I called Verizon Support who told me that they are experiencing this problem on several devices and that she was going to forward me to someone for help. 20 minutes later, no one had picked up and I had to leave. So I thought I would try here to see if Verizon has come up with a fix for this, if I should get another phone, or if they are working on a software update or something. Help, I really liked this phone until now!

    I am using the messaging app that was preloaded with the phone, the green face icon. I do not have an "Android Keyboard" app, but I have cleared the cache on the "Messaging" app, several times. I have also gone to the Verizon store where an associate did a soft reboot, telling me that would work. A very short time later, the error message started appearing again--so this did not work either.
    The error message comes very sporadically. Sometimes several in a few minutes, other times not for hours.

    Yesterday, i plugged in headphones, and when i took them out, it said headphones were still in it when i tried to change the volume.     First
    - Try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack. Try inserting/removing the plug a dozen times or so. There is a little switch in the headphone jack that disconnects the speaker when the headphone jack is inserted.

    I Have a refurbished iPhone 5 that is less than a year old (apple replaced my first one due to a battery fault) but this one has all of a sudden become unresponsive most times and a purple haze has come thru the background on the lCd. The cursor goes abit cranky sometimes too and jumps from Window to window?! It has never been dropped or screen has never been replaced either no exposure to water or sun. This happened after I upgraded to the new iOS 8.1. I don't think it was the update but I've never had good results from updating the iPhone anyway..
    HELP?? I have an appt with Apple tomorrow but don't know if I can wait that long!!
