IPad 2 earphones not working after updating to ios 6 (jack input is clean)

Hi there, I can see some people have been having problems with their new iPad and earphones in conjunction with ios 6 but did not know if there was a thread established for the iPad 2 yet.
I updated tonight and along with the fact that ios 6 is a complete letdown I now cannot get the iPad to recognise my earphones. They were working fine 30 minutes before the update so I know it is not the earphones.
If I keep the app (e.g. Youtube) up and reinsert the earphones it works. However if I switch to check something on another app and come back the sound starts coming through the speakers again.
Any help or advice much appreciated!

I had a problem connecting to my exchange server. It turns out that Exchange will only allow ten devices to be partnered to your account at a time. Apparently I have a problem with new phone.(Attending the 12 step program now for treatment.) I had this message in my inbox when I logged in to check the server. "You have 10 phone partnerships out of the maximum allowed 10 partnerships. After you reach the maximum, you can't create additional partnerships until you delete existing ones from your account. To do so, sign in to Outlook Web App, click Options > Phone > Mobile Phones, and delete any unused partnerships." I followed the instructions and delted all the old accounts...problem solved.

Earphones not working properly

The earphones on my iPod Nano don't seem to be working well anymore. The left one is a lot quieter then the right one.
Would I get new ones if I go back to the store? Or not? My iPod is still under warranty.

I do not work for apple or anything, but if you are under warranty you should be able to get new ones, free. But i would make sure they are in good.

One earphone not working in Macbook pro

For some reason the audio output on my macbook pro is only working on one earphone. It is not the earphones as I have tried other earphones and the same thing happens. I had a problem recently with the output not working at all...and there was a red light coming out of the headphone jack. But the red light ended up going away on its own...and the sound came back. However...there is still only sound coming out of one earphone.

It is the right workflow to monitor what you mix before sending the material to the mastering studio. Although if you use Logic Pro 8 then you have compressor and can make this mastering by yourself (if you want to).
I try to say it easy: Without Light you can't paint, without suitable equipment you can't monitor an surround-mix. Only stereo is possible with your hardware. You can mix in surround in logic and listen in stereo. This is not optimal but the only chance to do this without buying an audio interface with minimum 6 outputs.

Xperia J Earphones Not Working?

I bought my Xperia J 3days ago, and got the seinheiser MM30i. And i'm having problems with connecting them to my phone. It doesn't worked 100% correct. As i plug and unplug and mess around with the HeadsetIcon App, and it comes to work eventually.I'm returning my earphones tomorrow, if theres no solution. What are the earphones that work 100% on my xperia J ?

Hmm... I luckly solved this problem. My headset after about 2 months broke down. It won't play or record anything. It charged for ages and never finish. I send it on guaranty back and get new one. Before i had Win XP and buttons won't work. Before i get new headset i update to Win 7. After pluging them in and install CD all works properly. Maybe they are not compatible with XP... >.<

Headphone wh-701 right earphone not working

i recently bought a new nokia n8. And the headphone which comes with my mobile (wh-701) is working good. But recently the right earphone is stop working ... is their any way to repair it or change with nokia care... my mobile is in under warrenty

Welcome to the Nokia discussions board!
If your headphone is damaged and you was not the cause of this, you should take it back to the retailer and bring a proof of purchase. They can deal with the issue there because it may be that you have a hardware problem.

Earphones not working on iTouch 4g

I have plugged my earphones into my iTouch 4g but the sounds keep coming out of my internal speakers (and not my earphones). please help

Make sure the plug from the earphones to the ipod is working. It should have nothing to do with the ipod, it may be something with the earphones wiring or something. Good luck!

Earphones not working as remote shutter

I bought an iPhone 4s a couple of months ago. I just found out a couple of days ago that the earphones can be used as a remote shutter release by clicking the + sign on the earphone controls.
However, I have not been able to get this to work on my on phone, so I was wondering if anyone has an idea why.

OK, this probably sounds lame, but I actually haven't used the earbuds yet :~/ I just hold the phone up to my ear to make calls even though my hand gets tired, lol! Also, I don't listen to music on my phone as my "focus" is on photography and I'm obsessed with downloading photo apps :~)
Anyway, I did a little test and listened to a video tutorial. I was able to hear it through the earbuds, but the volume up and down keys on the earbuds don't work.
They are the earbuds that came with my phone and the volume up and down keys on the phone itself work so I think you are probably correct that the controls may be defective. Fortunately, I have Apple Care and should be able to have them replaced with no problem.

Sony SBH-52 One earphone not working

Hello Folks
I am thinking less charitable thoughts about Sony products right now. First, my Xperia Z 1 has been dropping calls in my home since December 2014 and no solution in sight. Then I go and get the fancy Sony SBH-52 and lordy !!! One earphone working, the other sounds tired. I tried the "fluff removal" bit no luck.
I then tried my wife's Samsung headphones and get perfect audio both sides. In fact all the Sony Headphones I have tried only work one side. Is Sony making products for one eared folks or what?

Why do the new earphones not work with 1st Generation iPod touch?

Does the 1st generation iPod touch not "recognise" [recognize if you are American] these functions? I am talking about the microphone and the button on the new earphones.

4 now, do something about the new ear head phones....cos apart of app store and applications...we want to be ablt to use microphones...to communicate on social networking...and voice memos...
This maybe because the hardware is simply incompatible, they cannot cover every eventuality, had they done so the Touch would have been more expensive and I would not have bought one.
Technology moves on, fact. I you don't feel Apple are playing fair then just avoid their products, that'll learn 'em.

IPhone earphones not working correctly

I have a problem with the headphones that came with my iPhone 3GS last year. The left earphone is playing audio at a softer volume than the right one. What would be the reason for a problem like that? The mini remote on the cable is also playing up from time to time. I'm still within my warranty period so would Apple replace my headset?

I previously had this issue. The only solution (which is a stupid one to recommend) is to lightly hit the right ear phone on a table. This worked for me. I wish I had a better solution to give you but this is what I have done in the past. Since your still in warranty try replacing them that works too.

Earphone not working on my iPhone but works fine on my laptop

Whenever i use my earphone on my iPhone 4s, there's no sounds coming out on one of my earphone with the remote and mic(i mean the remote and mic works but no sounds from the earpiece) while the other one works fine. I tried using my earphone on my macbook pro, and it worked fine. I can hear sounds from both of them with my laptop. mmmmmmwhat can i do to fix it ?

i also tried logging out on all devices iphone and ipad ane logged back in but it still won't activate on my ipad but does on my iphone...i also tried reset settings...still the same problem...my timezone is also set to automatic...i've basically tried all options i can find in the net and still no luck...please help....

I have tried 6 different pairs, and only one side works. The speaker built in still works great though, so what is the problem?

Welcome to the discussion groups.
The problem is the socket in which you plug the earphones. The requires a physical repair. If you have an Apple Store nearby enough to visit, I would make an appointment at the Genius Bar.
