Earthlink Spamblocker Messages Contain No Text

I have an Earthlink Pop email account which I added to my iPad email accounts. I have had no problems with my MobileMe account, but I have one nagging problem with my Earthlink account. I receive daily reports from Earthlink on the probable spam message found by their Spamblocker software. These messages appear normally in the Mail app on my MacBook. However, when I view them on my iPad the header information appears normally (From, To, Subject, etc.) but NO text appears in the body of the message.
I have only had my iPad for about a week now but have not encountered this problem with any other emails I have received (some 100 or so).
Is there something I can do to correct this problem?

Issue has been taken up with Earthlink but with no resolution.

  • Acrobat 9.3.3 Print Warning/Error Message contains no text

We are using Reader 9.3.3 and we are getting a strange error when we print.  The window comes with the warning symbol, has 3 radio buttons and a checkbox that says "don't show this again" and an okay button.  If I check the first radio button and select ok, nothing prints.  If I choose the second or third radio button, the prints come out.  I would like to know what the options are for this warning/error.  It is happening on Windows 7, and Windows XP 64 Bit.  I has also gone away on 2 of the 5 computers this has shown up on.
    Thanks for your help.
    Dave

Maybe your installation is currupt (scratched CD)
Reinstall on another maschine (and clean CD) to validate this case.
Update your Acrobat, maybe the corresponding files are replaced or the error is fixed.

  • Trying to OCR pdf, pdf says it can't perform bc it already contains renderable text-but does not.

I work for a large agency, and we receive PDF's all the time. 98% of the time I am able to OCR a document with no issues. Just recently I have come across this issue several times, and was wondering if anyone can solve this irritating problem!
*Acrobat 8.1 - When going to OCR the document, I receive the following message " Acrobat could not perform recognition (OCR) on this page because this page already contains renderable text. However, it does not. When you go to select text or search for anything the whole page is selected (like it's still in a "picture" format, not a document format that you can search, ect.)
I am not sure if it is how the document is uploaded originally by the other party that causes this, but the only thing I can do as a work-around - is to print out the entire document, scan and then I can OCR the document just fine! The problem is, if the document is 400 pages or so, this can be a huge waste of time, and money just to be able to search the PDF.
*I have also checked the pdf properties to see if this is some sort of permissions issue, and there are not permissions/security settings in place.*
PLEASE HELP! Any assistance in this matter would save me a lot of time, and of course (my sanity!).
    Thank you in advance!

While the alert speaks to "renderable text" that is a simplification. The issue is that you've PDF page content consisting of at least one renderable "character".
Look at font families - you will observe that there are many characters that are not "text" characters (i.e., linguistic characters).
So, there's a "renderable character" present. It may be an alpha numeric that has a font color the same as the page background. It may be under the image and thus not visible to the eye.
You might be able to determine just what is present.
You could export the page of interest to a text file then view that file.
You could deplay the page of interest in Acrobat Pro then select the "Content panel" to view the content tree.
Locate and click on the page number for the page of interest.
From the Content panel's Options menu select "Highlight Content".
Walk down the tree. Select the content containers in turn and observe what is highlighted on the PDF page.
Where might the renderable character come from ? Typically that'd be associated with something in the work flow.
Not always easy to find so don't take anything in the work flow for granted.
    Be well...

  • Can't import an .AI containing editable text

    I am using Flash CS3 (v.9.0.2) on MacOSX (v. 10.4.11). When I
try to import an .AI that contains editable text (not outlined
text), the import dialog box doesn't come up and I have no artwork
on the stage or in the library. I do not get any kind of an error
message, either. There is a brief flash on-screen (like a glitch)
and it returns me to the stage without my artwork.
I've isolated the editable text to be the issue, as I can
easily import the same AI file, minus the text. Also, changing the
font doesn't seem to make a difference.
Has anyone experienced this before? Any insight would be
    greatly appreciated.
    Thank you,
    Heidi

got a feeling your headings are wrong ... change "Tape" to "Reel" and drop "Duration"
    I would go with:

  • Check if a cell contains specific text

I am trying to do a check to see if a cell contains specific text (but may also include other text). I thought this might be accomplished with an 'if' statement. Is this possible in Numbers?

I am assuming the word "carrot" can appear multiple times within the same cell so the COUNTIF function will not work for this case.
Set up an auxiliary (second) table that is the same size as your "matrix". Each cell in this new table corresponds to a cell in your "matrix". Each of these cells will count how many times "carrot" appears in the corresponding cell of the "matrix". The formula below will count how many times the letters "carrot" appear in that exact order in a cell. In other words, "carrotstick" is also included in the count. Capitalization is not a factor. It assumes your "matrix" top left corner is cell B2 of Table 1.
    Table 2 cell B2=(LEN(UPPER(Table 1 :: B2))-LEN(SUBSTITUTE(UPPER(Table 1 :: B2),UPPER($A$1),"")))/LEN($A$1)
Copy or fill that formula to the rest of the cells.
Table 2 cell A1 = carrot (the word you are looking for)
Somewhere else have a cell that sums the cells in Table 2.
The formula works by removing all instances of the word "carrot" from the string then subtracting the length of the new string from the length of the original and dividing that by the length of the word "carrot". The result is the number of times "carrot" appears in that particular string.
You could put a space before and/or after "carrot" in cell A1 to avoid counting words such as "carrotstick" but if "carrot" is the first and/or last word of the string, it will not get counted because that space will not be there in the string.

  • Messages arrive without text

    Hello, I have next problem:
Clients receive messages in Outlook 2010 without text in message field. The messages contain Japanese characters in subject and body. Despite subject with Japanese characters is correctly displayed, there is no any text in body of the messages. But if clients
try to open the messages in web interface mail, messages are correctly displayed with text in body. Also, same messages correctly displays in Mozilla Thunderbird.
Could you tip what could be wrong with Outlook in such situation?

I've just struck this exact issue with a Mother's Day card. I had put text on the front, but the card that arrived today has the white strip for it but no text. I too got the message about the default text but because there wasn't any default text I thought it would be okay. My question is, if I need to resubmit to get this reprinted, how will I ever get the text printed on there? Surely if I resubmit it will just come out blank again? I'm also disappointed to see the bug is this old... you would have thought they would have fixed this by now? Seems Apple are getting a bit sloppy with the quality control of iPhoto.

  • Acrobat could not perform recognition (OCR) on this page because this page contains renderable text

I have a pdf file, which was OCRed by some other software, I am not satisfied with its accuracy, and would like to run adobe acrobat to OCR it again.
But Adobe says "Acrobat could not perform recognition (OCR) on this page because this page contains renderable text" for each page of the file.
How can I do to re-OCR the file? Thanks!

    CtDave,
I am having a similar problem and tried your suggestion but I still get the same message. Any other thoughts or fixes? The difference in my file is I used to be able to edit the text in the PDF file. For the last few months I am no longer able to edit this file.

  • Ocr  error This page contains renderable text

First time caller, first time user: acrobat 8.0 pro, i purchased acrobat to begin to ocr a lot of pdf's i've made. this first one i've tried to ocr gave me the error message: Acrobat cannot ocr this page, This page contains renderable text. what does this mean and is there a workaround to allow the page to be ocr'd.
I'm not trying to turn it into a word document, I just want to have searchable text, so i believe i choose searchable image, english and 600 dpi, but no dice.

I keep coming across this renderable text issue in documents I am processing for the web, and frankly, the TIFF work-around is not adequate. We pay a lot for Adobe Professional, and expect more than such a lame work-around which hinders the output quality. In addition, this is a tedious solution for large documents as well.
I have found several other posts on the web about this, with some references to Adobe updates fixing this problem. I have tried them all and none work. Very frustrating.

I have been having to change my email messages to plain text alternative in order to read the font.  Can I change the default somewhere?

Maybe I need to try a different route.  I was able to change the font settings for the general mail.  I am now thinking it is a problem with Safari or the internet browser.  I am seeing the bubble font only on messages that contain pictures ~ When I click to view the full message in the browser, the font changes to a readable font.

  • Acrobat Pro 8.1.2 crashes when displaying pdf made from Word doc containing url text

    Hello,
I and a few others in my workplace have a similar issue.
Acrobat crashes when they scroll through and view a pdf file that was created from Word.  The Word document contains url text in its header to the effect of "visit us at www.blah.com ." They're running Acrobat Pro 8.1.2 and Office 2K Pro SR-1 on XP Pro SP2.
Even though the link is not an active link, (i.e. clicking on it does not open the web page), if I convert a document containing this header to PDF, Acrobat will not allow me to manipulate the file and will crash. When I take the same document and remove the web address, then convert from Word to PDF, I experience no problems with Acrobat (note that this is the identical file, but with the web address removed). This does not explain why Acrobat will work for awhile even with the web address in the header, then stop working. But it does appear to fix my problem with creating a PDF from Word, then manipulating it further.
Does anyone know how to allow for this text to exist in the header and still have a stable pdf file/acrobat behavior?
    The pdf is attached.
    Thanks....

To sum up, I've found that if a url beginning with www is in the Word document and then created to pdf Adobe will crash when viewing that pdf.  If it is deleted from the Word document before creating the pdf, Acrobat will not crash when viewing that pdf.

  • How do I send an audio message in a text?

How do I send an audio message in a text?  There is no microphone to the right of the text box.   The microphone with the keyboard simply puts audio to written words.

        Maybejim,
That's a great question! You'd need to utilize the "Voice recorder" application to record and then share an audio message. You can view the instructions via Samsung's website; http://www.samsung.com/us/support/faq/FAQ00055605/67319/SGH-M919RWATMB .

  • How to Suppress Message saying "Message containing a password has been suppressed?"

On one of our task sequences, the summary page turns yellow with 1 error saying a message containing a password has been suppressed.
The deployment is successful and we don't need to do anything about it, so it is a useless warning.
I looked in the BDD.log and I see the reference to the error in there, but it is no more specific as to what is the cause.
Is is the same OS image used in other task sequences without this error, so it must not be an issue with the OS installation itself and I can only assume it is something to do with a unique task inside the task sequence that clears the bios password, updates
the bios and then resets the password.
Is there a way to find specifics on what is generating this vague error message such as "unsupress" whatever is being suppressed so we can see the specifics of it or just suppress this error from being displayed?

So, if you skip the summary then you don't get a deployment summary at all to warn you of failed tasks inside the task sequence?
We occasionally get other errors, like failed to connect to share on first attempt, but is is pretty rare.
This error is constant.  bdd.log has this in reference to the error:

Hi Raja- It seems to be a data quality issue.
Check for the value @ 1447 position in the xml message that you are trying to send to web service..
may be a date filed/decimal value which is not in expected format.
