EAS load rule (multi level attributes)

Hi All,
I'm trying to build multi level attributes at the same time associating it to the base dimension same time building the base dimension.
because I'm building the multi level attributes...I specified all levels of attributes then base dimension then associations!!
The question is how to set the dimension build property?
whether I need to set it as building the base dimension or attribute dimension!!
I studied the Dbag page 308...
but getting the verification error!!
suggestions pls!!
Thanks,
Jeeth

Hi Glenn,
I was able to create a multiple level attribute hierarchy, base dimension and its associations in the same load rule.
I created attribute dimension and its descendents in the load rule it self!!
may be I'm not clear before!!
I found a way to create as per Rahul's post!!
I'm facing another issue over here!!
I successfully created multi level numeric attribute but not able to create multilevel text attribute!!
getting the following error!!
*\\ATTRPARENT column 8 must precede a numeric or date/time attribute association column\\Column 8 Validation* Failure
Thanks,
Jeeth

    Great conversation. I have a very similar question about the use of the custom JAVA mappings with the LDAP Login process. I want to include an additional (event) step in the login process. Does anyone have an example or experience with a custom Java Class mapping that can use an LDAP attribute (location)  queriing the data to execute an event that populates an RequestCenter OU or Group if the person login location equal say " Argentina" ? Looking for a way to manage / build catalog entitlements during login. Suggestions ?

    Hi Darwin,
    We're about to embark on a piece of work with newScale which would be similar to this to support our Multilingual catalogue.  I'll provide any updates I'm able.
    Thanks,

    Great, Thanks Anthony ! I hope our bringing up this topic will spark a bit of interest. The Custom Java Mapping  / Directory integration is documented more with RC 9.1. It will be good to hear more about your project and use of Java mappings with LDAP Directories.

  • How to load shared members into a duplicate outline using load rules

    Hello, I am trying to load an alternate hierarchy into the same dimension in an outline that accepts duplicate members using EAS load rules ... there is no property for shared members so i can't specify it in the load rule .. i tried using parent child and it is not working - no shared members are loaded in the alternate hierarchy .. any ideas? would another utility make it happen?
    thx

  • Rules based on multi-level categorization

    Hi all,
    I want to create a rule for service requests in the rule modeler based on multilevel-categorization. According to help.sap.com this should be possible.
    But in the context SERVICEREQUEST there is no attribute for multi-level categorization and therefore I can't select it when creating my rule. I have assigned my categorization schema to the application area for the rule modeler. I have checked the other context areas as well, but I don't see anything that looks like multi-level categorization.
    Does anyone have experience with this ? If the attribute should be created from scratch please guide me to how it should be configured.
    Best regards
    Annette

    Hello Annette,
    Can you help me on this, how did you got the option for multilevel-categorization as attribute?
    Even i am trying the same. This is critical for my project, any help wold be appreciated.
    Thanks.

  • OAM : Multi-valued attribute in Authorization Rule Actions

    Our application is protected by an Oracle Access Manager deployment, where the identity user base is based in an Oracle Internet Directory.
    In the OID, for every user entry, we have a multi valued attribute (say, 'roleattr') which contains the roles recognized in our application. Once the user is authenticated by the Access Server, we need the roles associated to him to be fetched and returned in the page header (similar to uid).
    Hence, our question is, in PolicyManager, by setting the Authorization Rule > Actions, is it possible to retrieve this attribute (which is 'multivalued') and populated into the pageHeader, so that our application can retrieve the same.

    Sure, you'll get a colon-delimited list of the multiple values in your header!

  • Import varying attribute dimension (with a load rule)

    How do I maintain varying attribute dimensions in a model with a large base dimension? It does not make sense to manually maintain all those members in the outline.
    Is it possible to import varying attribute dimensions (with a load rule)?

    That is true for regular attribute dimensions. Nowhere, I have found instructions how to do this for varying attribute dimensions (aka slowly changing dimensions) that change over time.

  • Substitution variable in Load rule Header Essbase 11.1.1.3

    Think its obvious you can use substitution variable as a Header definition on Load rules, does version 11.1.1.3 has any issues' with it, i am running into Unexpected Essbase error 1019026.
    Error:
    Unknown member [Mgmt Actual,Base,No Vertical,No Customer] found while processing string [Mgmt Actual","Base","No Vertical","No Customer]

    I want to copy Actual data into other scenario's in ASO cube so thought will use substitution variables to eliminate duplication on load rules.
    Mgmt Actual is a scenario set thru Substitution variable at the DB level
    i.e *&CurScen="Mgmt Actual" (set at DB level)*
    Header Definition on load rule *&CurScen,"Base","No Vertical","No Customer"*
    Data load work fine If i replace substitution variable with original member *"Mgmt Actual","Base","No Vertical","No Customer"*.
    I did notice some users complaining erratic behavior when substitution variables are placed in load rule header at the End on multiple members, i have tried all places End, First and Middle.
    tried using single Load rule with EAS and MAXl same results.
    i want to keep altering scenarios on header definition and use same rule files.
    alter database AppName.DbName set variable CurScen '"Mgmt Actual"';

    Possible Solutions
    Make sure that the member name is valid. The member name is in the rules file.
    * Are you using the correct rules file?
    * Is the rules file connected to the correct outline?
    * Can you validate the rules file?
    * Are member names or variable names enclosed in quotation marks where necessary?
    * Does the member exist in the outline? If not, you can add the member by modifying the outline during the dimension build or add the member in the Outline Editor.
    * Make sure that the member is not specified as a header in the rules file.

  • How to create multi level reports?

    The report I have created contains 25 columns and is to wide. I would like to create a multi level report in the fashion of below:

    Row2 Row2 Row2
    Col 5 Col 6 Col 7
    Row1 Row1 Row1

    I am assuming this needs to be done by modifying html in a template.
    I have cut up a normal report to try and illistrate what I am thinking.

    I greatly appreciate the help. Thanks.

    Hi,
    OK - I've put together a horizontal scrolling report template for a Theme 12/Standard report: [http://apex.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=33642:198]
    To create this, you need to:
    1 - Through Shared Components, Templates - create a new Report Template based on a copy of the existing Standard report template.
    2 - When you have your new template, edit it.
    3 - In the template's "Before Rows" setting, replace what's there with the following:
    <style type="text/css">
    #table1 th {white-space: nowrap}
    #table1 td {white-space: nowrap}
    #table2 th {white-space: nowrap}
    #table2 td {white-space: nowrap}
    </style>
    <table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" summary="" style="padding:0px; border-collapse:collapse;">#TOP_PAGINATION#
    <tr><td>
      <tr>
        <td style="vertical-align:top; background-color:#EFEFEF; padding:0px; border:1px solid darkgray;">
          <div id="d1" style="background-color:white; margin:0px; border:0px; padding:0px;">
          </div>
        </td>
        <td style="vertical-align:top; padding:0px; border:1px solid darkgray;">
          <div id="d2" style="overflow-X:scroll; margin:0px; border:0px; padding:0px; border-right:1px solid darkgray;">
    <table cellpadding="0" border="0" cellspacing="0" summary="" class="t12Standard" id="table2">4 - In the template's "After Rows" setting, replace what's there with the following:
          </div>
        </td>
      </tr>
    </table><div class="t12bottom">#EXTERNAL_LINK##CSV_LINK#</div></td></tr>#PAGINATION#</table>
    <script type="text/javascript">
    var d1 = document.getElementById("d1");
    var t2 = document.getElementById("table2");
    var t1 = t2.cloneNode(false);
    t1.style.width = "100%";
    t1.id = "table1";
    d1.appendChild(t1);
    var t2Rows = t2.rows;
    var k;
    var r;
    var c;
    for (k = 0; k < t2Rows.length; k++)
    r = document.createElement("TR");
    t1.appendChild(r);
    c = t2Rows[k].cells[0].cloneNode(true);
    r.appendChild(c);
    t2Rows[k].deleteCell(0);
    d1.innerHTML += "";
    </script>5 - On your report's Report Attributes, change the template used for the report from "Standard" to your new one
    6 - Also on the report's Report Attributes, set "Enable Partial Page Refresh" to No - this is required as we need the javascript in the template to be run whenever pagination happens and Partial Page Refresh does not seem to allow us the means to trigger javascript
    7 - Finally, on the report region's Region Footer, add in:
    <style type="text/css">
    #d1 {width:75px;}
    #d2 {width:500px;}
    </style>#d1 refers to the width of the frozen column and #d2 is the width of the rest of the report - you can adjust these figures as required.
    The template contains two DIV tags - d1 and d2. Initially, d1 is empty and d2 contains the report. The javascript moves the first cell in each row from d2 to d1. The styles then add the scrolling functionality.

  • Variable in the Load Rule file

    Hi,
    We're running EAS 9.3.1 and trying to update a load rule to include a substitution variable in the header. The load rule works fine when the member name is defined explicitly and the variable works fine in the calc scripts. Any ideas? I tried removing the quotes and the & symbol already. See error below.
    Reading Rule SQL Information For Database [Plan1]
    Reading Rules From Rule Object For Database [Plan1]
    Unknown member [&CalcVersion] found while processing string ["Budget","&CalcVersion","Load","Functional"]
    Unexpected Essbase error 1019026
    Thanks.

    Did you remove the quotes by using the replace in "field Properties" and Global properties tab? I am trying to replace double quotes with null in the data file and it does not seems to be working.
    Thanks

  • How can I apply a rule to an attribute in XML

    Hi,
    I have a simple XML file like this:
    <FitnessCenter>
         <Member level = "platinum">
              <Name>Jeff</Name>
              <Phone type = "home">555-1234</Phone>
              <Phone type = "work">555-4321</Phone>
              <FavoriteColor>lightgrey</FavoriteColor>
         </Member>
    </FitnessCenter>
    I would like to apply template rule (in XSL file) to an attribute level of Member element in the above XML, but I cant get it to work. Below is the code that I thought would work, but it doesnt. Can someone suggest the better way?
         <xsl:template match = "/">
              <xsl:apply-templates/>
         </xsl:template>
         <xsl:template match = "FitnessCenter">
              <xsl:element name = "FitnessCenter">
                   <xsl:apply-templates/>
              </xsl:element>
         </xsl:template>
         <xsl:template match = "Member">
              <xsl:element name = "Member">
                   <xsl:apply-templates select = "@*"/>
              </xsl:element>
         </xsl:template>
         <xsl:template match = "level">
              <xsl:element name = "I got here">
              </xsl:element>
         </xsl:template>
    </xsl:stylesheet>
    regards,
    Janusz

    Thank you for the response yep it works thanks again.
    Now, that brings me to another problem I am facing now because my level attribute is from another schema in my real XML it looks like this xsi:type=SomeNonAbstractType. If I add the rule like this to XSL:
    <xsl:template match = "Member[@type]">
    <xsl:element name = "I got here">
    </xsl:element>
    </xsl:template>
    and I have in my XML element like this:
    <Member xsi:type = "platinum">
    <Name>Jeff</Name>
    <Phone type = "home">555-1234</Phone>
    <Phone type = "work">555-4321</Phone>
    <FavoriteColor>lightgrey</FavoriteColor>
    </Member>
    This doesnt work this rule simply does not get called I have tried a couple of variations but couldnt get it to work.
    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

  • Loading to Parent level Period using multiload template

    Hi Experts,
    Is it possible to load data to Parent level period using the FDM multiload template to HFM? Does multiload template allow loading of only the leaf level period?
    Thanks
    Kannan.

    FDM does not impose any rstrictions on what you can load into HFM it just respects the load constraints of the target system i.e. if you can't do something directly in HFM you won't be able to do it via FDM. In HFM data can only be loaded to base level members not parents, parents are calculated and are not stored i the HFM database. Therefore you will not be able to load to parent level members in HFM. You can sometimes have excptoions to this but only if the HFM developer has written specific rules to allow this.

  • Data Load Rules file - Conditional load

    Hi,
    I need to create a data load rules file to load sales data. The data comes at product, entity, month, year, version, scenario, account level. I need to load data only towards two of the entities, NCC and NCCCBU, i.e if the product is coming under a particular hierarchy called UK then it needs to get loaded against NCC entity member and if the product is under the CBU hierarchy it needs to be loaded against the NCCCBU entity.
    All of the data comes in the same file so I need to load it in one go without splitting the file into two.
    Thanks
    Vikash

    You can achieve this.
    In the data load rule when you are mapping the entity column.
    set the propperties like this:
    Field properties -> Global Prpoperties
    Replace with
    UK NCC
    CBU NCCCBU
    Field properties -> Data Load Prpoperties
    Map the column with entity dimension.

    Failed to Establish Connection With SQL Database Server. See log for more information

  • How to handle multi valued attributes

    Hi All,
    I am supposed to populate multivalued attributes for a field in oim resource profile. Lets assume the field is mailbox. The issue is that I am supposed to reconcile this field from the directory server during initial load. The mailboxes are fetched from the DS based on organization. For provisioning I have to get the mailboxes from the database and these mailboxes are based on the role a user has. At the time of provisioing, I am supposed to populate the mailbox field with values the user already has been provisioned with and also display the mailboxes that he can get access to. I have created the mailbox as a resource with id and name as two of its fields. Could someone please tell me how do I handle this?
    Thanks,
    Supreetha

    I am not sure if I could follow the same thing as mentioned in the link above. Here is my case, Role is a multi valued attribute which i need to handle in oim and is very different from the usual roles. For this purpose, I have created roles as a resource object with role_id as field in its process form.When an admin logs in to assign a new role_id, he should be able to see only those roles for assignment that the admin's org has. I have these org and role mappings in a custom table that I have created in the oim schema. How will I able to display only these available role_ids so that the admin can choose them and assign for the role resource.
    Could you please let me know how do I do the config in oim?
    Thanks,

  • Alternate hierarchy dimension build with load rules

    Hi,
    I am trying to build a alternate hierarchy dimension using load rules (I feel using EIS is easier to build ASO and multiple hierarchies but we r trying to get rid of EIS member loads). Looking at different posts my understanding is it has to be done using two different rules file first to build the stored hierarchies then use parent-child reference to build the shared hierarchy. Below is the link for the picture how I am trying to build the dimension. I've tried different possibilities but no luck, I am having a tough time to come up with a way to do this using rules file.
    http://s24.postimg.org/u5hl4eyqt/basis.jpg

    If your file is in a parent/child order, then you can build easily in one rule. make sure the primary (stored Hierarchy) gets built first followed by the alternate hierarchies. I suggest adding a SortID column to the source so you can sort the file to get it into the right order. You can also build the alternate hierarchies using level or generation builds in one load rule, but especially if you have a lot of alternate hierarchies or members, then the parent/child method is easiest.
    Read in the DBAG about parent/child files and it will give you more info
