EAS Web 11.1.2.1:  Failed: -1 Your session is not currently authenticated

I have 1 user that cannot access EAS Console on the web. All other users can log on with no problem. She gets the following error when logging on from her laptop: "Session timeout. Failed: -1 Your session is not currently authenticated. Please log in." She is able to log on from my laptop. The browser version and Internet Options on her laptop and mine are identical. The only difference that I can find is that this user has installed JRE 7 while I am still on 6. I just got notice from Oracle Applications Users Group that JRE 7 is incompatible with Oracle e-Business Suite, but no mention is made of Hyperion applications. Is JRE 7 compatible with EAS 11.1.2.1? If so, what else could cause this issue?

iam sure its java ..
no need to uninstall 7 if u ahve installed already
check ur control panal > java > view> even if u have installed 1.6 or 1.7 should be problem you can select 1.6 and still can use 1.7 for other application
but i have doubt if that problem try access EAS web .. if you have Java loading pop windows and it stops without showing EAS console then it might be Java but if your able to see EAS console i guess its not java ..i dint remember what was workaround i did .

  • "Authentication Failed" and "Your session has timed out" messages

    Hi All,
In our implementation, we are using Sun Access Manager 7.0 Patch 6. We noticed that sometimes when we enter invalid credentials, we receive "Authentication Failed" message which we understand is a correct behavior. But sometimes instead of "Authentication Failed", we get "Your session has timed out" message even though we did not go over the module timeout of 2 minutes(i.e. default timeout value in SUN Access Manager).
Is this a known anomaly? Did anybody else have seen this kind of behavior?
    Thanks,
    Jaya

  • Web Service Call with XI fails at SOAP Adapter

    Hi,
I am currently trying to call a web service that is located in the Internet via XI using the SOAP Receiver Adapter. In the ABAP Monitoring (SXMB_MONI) the call is successfull. But when I check the Message Monitoring in the Runtime Workench I see the message failed in the SOAP Adapter. It stays in status 'wait' for some time and the shows a system error. I was able to call the Web Service via a SOAP Test Tool, i.e. the service is available and working.
Any ideas why the message fails in the SOAP Adapter? What are the steps to find the root cause?
    Thanks and regards.

    Hi,
    >>>I was able to call the Web Service via a SOAP Test Tool, i.e. the service is available and working.
but does XI have access to internet?
as you used SOAP Test Tool from your computer and not from XI machine

  • Web Proxy Auto Discovery (WPAD) fails in Creative Cloud

The Creative Cloud desktop application has a problem with WPAD automatic proxy detection.  When the computer is configured to "automatically detect settings", the Creative Cloud application will not load the Apps list, giving the error "Download Error.  Unable to reach Adobe servers.  Please check your internet  connectivity, firewall settings, and then try again."  All other elements of the Creative Cloud application (logging in, accepting terms of use, the "Home", "Files", "Fonts" and "Behance" tabs have no issues using the automatically detected settings).  I can refresh a netstat on the command line and see that the Creative Cloud application tries to make direct calls to the EC2 servers when attempting to connect to the "Apps" list instead of using the proxy.
If I manually configure a PAC file or manually configure the proxy on the computer, the Creative Cloud can connect successfully.  The failure only occurs with "automatic detect settings".  I have tested different WPAD server configurations, to include Apache on Unix, IIS7 on Windows, text/plain and application/x-ns-proxy-autoconfig MIME types, and CNAME vs A record for 'wpad'.  Creative Cloud continues to fail to operate correctly.
The old version of Adobe Application Manager can successfully connect and download updates using "automatic detect settings".  It will update itself (and installed apps) successfully.  After it updates itself, it will connect and update itself a second time, this time replacing itself with the Creative Cloud application, which fails to connect.  This behaviour is new to the Adobe Application Manager once it becomes the Creative Cloud application.
It seems from what "official" documentation I can find that this is currently "broken as designed" (see Adobe references at bottom of post).  Connecting directly from a client to the internet without a proxy is prohibited by our information security policy (the chat support agent tried to tell me 3 times that the "solution" was to disable the proxy and open ports 80 and 443 to the internet).  Manually configuring the proxy through a PAC file or manually setting proxy information causes other issues and performance problems (I strongly disagree with Adobe staff member Jeff Wright's assertion that automatically detecting the settings is "a common issue with most applications"--see reference at bottom of post).
While I could technically open the firewall or manually configure the proxy to make the Creative Cloud function properly, these are unacceptable workarounds as already stated.  Considering that the previous iteration (Adobe Application Manager) functioned just fine with automatically detected settings, and that the rest of the Creative Cloud application functions properly with automatically detected settings, it seems that this should be a minor issue to correct with the application, to ensure that the application cataloging and downloading respects the same configuration as the rest of the client.  What is the official Adobe position on the current broken functionality of the Creative Cloud application, and what is the timeline in implementing a fix?

Creative Cloud Help / Troubleshoot download and install issues (http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/troubleshoot-cc-installation-download.html):
Corporate environments: Configure Hardware firewalls or proxies
Many organizations use a hardware firewall and proxy server that can prevent software from accessing an FTP server. A hardware solution applies to all computers within the corporate network. Most home networks do not use hardware firewall or proxy technology.
    1. Contact your company's IT department to obtain firewall or proxy information.
    2. Configure your browser with proxy or firewall information.
    3. Configure your corporate firewall to by-pass the servers. The following servers are accessed:
                 ccmdl.adobe.com:80
                 swupmf.adobe.com:80
                 swupdl.adobe.com:80
Post from Adobe staff member Jeff A Wright (Reply 14: http://forums.adobe.com/message/5620841):
Quote: "The automatic detection of settings or the automatic configuration script is not currently supported.  Although to be honest when I worked regular in an environment, which utilized a proxy server, this seemed to be a common issue with most applications.  The manual configuration was the most reliable method of utilizing a proxy server and allowing the applications to access the Internet."

Thx! that worked! now I can download Apps.

  • Is it possible to show a 'My Activity' web part on a SharePoint site if 'My Sites' is not available?

Is it possible to show a 'My Activity' web part on a SharePoint site if 'My Sites' is not available?
For example, say there's a SharePoint installation dedicated to particular (custom) SharePoint site. The users go to the site to carry out their tasks. There's no 'My Site' set up in this installation (and for other reasons I'm told it's not an option).
Is it possible to show a web part here that shows the user's recent activity? The built-in web part for this fails with the error 'Invalid URI: The URI is empty', and the details of it appear to say it's looking for the user's My Site to find out what to show:
SPMicrofeedContext.SetMySiteHostForContext failed System.UriFormatException: Invalid URI: The URI is empty.     at System.Uri.CreateThis(String uri, Boolean dontEscape, UriKind uriKind)     at Microsoft.Office.Server.Microfeed.SPMicrofeedContext.SetMySiteHostForContext()
So, while I'd be happy to write a web part (or app part) to display the information instead of using the default part, I'm not sure SharePoint is even storing the activity in a way I can access.
Some pages like the following: http://sharepointmystery.com/2012/07/22/activity-feeds-in-sharepoint-2013/ make me think it won't be possible - it says: 'The major change from 2010 is that all the [activity] content is stored in the user’s personal site, not
    in a common database.'
Are activity feeds dependent on 'My Sites' or is there a way to access the information when 'My Sites' is not present in the deployment? I can't find a definitive answer in Microsoft's documentation.

To clarify, do you have the User Profile Service (including MySite Host) up and running on this environment? That's subtley different to the full MySite experience which is clearly not applicable...
Interesting question - thanks for that. Until now I didn't realise there was a difference.
The User Profile Service is up and running, but no MySite Host is set. (I don't believe MySite will be available anywhere here. I guess that means there's no valid MySite Host for me to use.)
    Many thanks,
        Geoff

  • Error Message: The attempt to connect to the report server failed. Check your connection information and that the report server is a compatible version. The request failed with HTTP status 404: Not Found.

I have a web page that contains a ReportViewer control.  I am trying to display a report, which is an .rdl file located on the SSRS server, in this ReportViewer control.  I have set the ReportPath and ReportServerUrl correctly.  I am
    getting an error message.
Am I suppose to use an .rdlc file rather than a .rdl file?  Does the web server configuration need to use a certain account?
I am getting the following error message:
The attempt to connect to the report server failed. Check your connection information and that the report server is a compatible version.
The request failed with HTTP status 404: Not Found.

    Hi bucaroov,
The error "The request failed with HTTP status 404: Not Found." means the ReportServerURL configured in the ReportViewer control is invalid.
Please follow these steps to solve the issue:
    Logon the Report Server machine.
Open the Reporting Services Configuration Manager.
Copy the Report Server URL from 'Web Services URL'.
Logon the application server(in this case, it is the server that host the web page), check if we can use the URL we got from step 3 to access the Report Server. If so, please replace the ReportServerURL in the ReportViewer control with this URL. If it is
not available, could you please post the error message.
Additionaly, we don't need to provide the extension for a server report. The ReportPath should be like: /<reports folder>/<report name>

  • PDF Generator failing on Azure Website but not development machine

I am using EVOPDF for testing html to pdf.

A similar post on discounet.asp site

indicates this is a full trust issue, but I have full trust defined in web.config
    <configuration><system.web> <trust level="Full" />
Is full trust not full trust? Is there another way to define Full Trust?
    Greg
    PS
The EO company responsed with the following
For scalability and stability reasons, EO.Pdf performs the actual conversion in a separate worker process instead of inside your Web application process. That is probably what’s failing in your environment since in a Web only environment it usually won’t
allow you to spawn your own worker process.
    Any workarounds using WAWS?

I have solved problem,  with large files (~150 pages).

    Snippet from the link below:
If you get a “404: Not Found” error, it ‘s because by default there is no script map for .svc file with default IIS 7.0 installation, so you need to register .svc extension in IIS:
You need to update IIS script maps to register .svc extension In a command prompt (ran as administrator), execute the following command:
    “%windir%\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v3.0\Windows Communication Foundation\ServiceModelReg.exe” -r -y"

    Dear Experts,
I made a homogeneous system copy of my BI 70 prod to quality. I followed the steps according to the docs. After the system copy I did applying new licenses( ABAP, Portal, J2ee) , deleting old portal abap certficates, creating them on both portal & abap, exchage the certificates. All done as per the docs

Hi Ahmad, I have the same problem, I have a server windows server 2008 R2 standard. While
doing an Enterprise to Standard downgrade, I have removed enterprise edition of SQL Server 2008, rebooted and while installing standard edition, I get the below error saying "You SQL server 2008 installation completed with failures. Some or all identity
    references could not be translated"
Bit of background. This server has another express instance of SQL Server 2008. I have
used local system account, network service as well as our general SQL service account, but I get the error towards the end of the installation and it fails saying “Some or all identity references could not be translated.”
I am installing a named instance with the same name as before but fails. I have tried
creating a new test instance that fails too. Any ideas? I have uninstalled SQL enterprise edition from
Add and Remore Programs/Programs and Features. I've also run the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility but no joy.
    Cheers
