Easier ways to send pics?

I am noticing that I can only email or text photos, tweet, or print pics from my iPhone that are in my Camera Roll or Photostream. I am used to my Droid where I could select a photo and then send it to a slew of other places like various social networking sites, my dropbox account etc. Seems like my options are really limited with the iPhone. For example in order for me to send an image from my dropbox, I would have to first save it to my camera roll then I could send email or text it to someone from there. Why can't I just send it from my Dropbox account? Do I need a special app that will allow what I am asking instead?

Because Apps are generally prohibited from accessing data that does not belong to them. It's a security thing. Another thing you can not do on your iPhone that you could on your droid is manage to get yourself infected with a virus or malware that has the ability to steal data that doesn't belong to it because there is virtually no security imposed on apps for the "open" android platform.

Try turning them into a zip file before attaching. From Finder Help:

Depends upon what you mean by 'it failed'. If it's that you are getting a message to contact iTunes Support then no, you will have to contact them (the 48 hours should be the maximum time that it takes for them to reply).

Easy way to send every possible IDoc to a Logical System

Hi all,
With the help of the SAP Java Connector I'm trying to create an application that receives (and further processes) IDocs. The idea is then to walk through a process in SAP, e.g. Procure to Pay (PR, PR approval, Request for quotation, PO,...), and to receive an IDoc after each step of the process.
is there an easy way to enable the sending of all possible IDocs to a specific external Logical System (the JCo). This way the JCo can listen, identify and handle incoming IDocs, and thus reconstruct the process that was executed in SAP with the help of the IDocs.
I can already send some IDocs to my Java Connector, but setting this up for each action or process seems quite a lot of work.

Understand the query to establish the interface so as to send the IDocs to specific LS (Logical System) which will be connected to external system through JCo.
For Procure to Pay process, external documents (PO,Contract for e.g.) can be sent to external system through output determination process wherein settings can be made to send the output immediately (as soon as document is saved) and output conditions can be maintained per logical system (by maintaining LS as one of the partners) this will also reduce the condition records.
Further it can be achieved to deliver the output to specified folder per document/process wherein Jco will handle further process.In other words create no.of folders per process/document whichever best suits.

Is there an easier way to move pics taken on iPhone 3G to Album on iPhone?

So, is there no quick way to put the Camera Roll pictures into an album on the iPhone 3g?
Here is how I do it now:
1) Click on an image in Camera Roll
2) Send it to Mobile Me in an album I named Camera Roll
3) Then download from Mobile Me to my PC
4) Then put in the folders I am syncing via iTunes.
5) Then sync iTunes.
Not every intuitive at all.
Am I missing something?

Yeah, it's all pretty stunted right now. It's been driving me bonkers. I'm looking for a good geotagging solution and all the 3rd party programs are crap and the possibility of MobileMe is just too hampered by limitations.

How do I send pics from my iphone(3g) to another mobile phone number without using email.

MMS on AT&T yes counts towards a SMS sent, but ALSO it counts as "data usage". Many users before getting an iPhone (or those that just had basic phones and never cared about browsing the web etc) never set up a good data plan. Most (like me) went with the cheapest one available. It was literally x amount of money for KB a month, yes KB, not MB. So a couple cell camera shots sent via MMS will kill up that usages and then yes you get charged for every KB sent. Some had better plans but if were addicted to MMS, they would go over as well.
But since the iPHone does force an unlimited plan (here in US) then no Apple is not saving us anything by not having MMS. Though I never cared for it anyhow as MMS was a workaround since cell carriers and phones were not able to get email working over the network very well yet so they made their own way to send pics or sounds and were happy to charge you for it. And not all carriers and cells agree to same MMS rules. Some phones can only accept certain types of sounds. Some cannot accept pics too large. I don't know how many times I could not send a pic or vid or sound to a friend here or a friend there due to either their carrier or their cell. And same the other way around. eMail is so much better since it is a standard. MMS just needs to die. Pretty much any phone today can do email just a pain to setup and points to why the iPhone is so easy to use.

Not with the most common email systems - webmail, POP, SMTP or IMAP.
The only email system I know of that can prevent forwarding (or copying or printing) is Lotus Notes (now called IBM Notes). I believe it can technically be done within an MS Exchange environment, but I have never actually seen it implemented in one.

No there isn't. Most all Email providers, whether your ISP or some other provider like Google, Yahoo, Microsoft with their Outlook.com or Office365 and Apple's own iCloud system, have a linit on the max size a email can be. Most are around 10MBs some slightly larger but if the vieo you want to send to someone it larger than that you will have to upload it to a website and then have the people you want to view it download it from that website.

Recent convert to Apple. Previously, I backed up my family pictures from PC to an external hard drive, a WD MyBook 3T. I can view the pics on my Macbook Pro, but I can't add new pictures. I'm sure this is a format issue, any easy way to correct it?

If you were going to be reading and writing to a NTFS System Partition, you might have to worry about the instability messing up the operating system. However, you are reading/writing from a non system, backup device so you don't have to worry about screwing up an operating system.
I would still temporarily move my data to another device and reformat the drive for Mac OS X Extended.

Is there an easy way to program a PIC16F77 via LabVIEW 7.1 and a DAQ?

I am a student working on a senior design project that requires us to program a PIC16F77. I have no experience with PIC programming, and was hoping for an easy way to do this in LabVIEW. If anyone has done this before I would appreciate a few pointers, or maybe even an example program. Thanks.

I would recommend using an embedded bootloader (protected block) and programming the PIC serially with your application (normal production use). Use a max232 chip for the TTL to RS232 conversion or alternatively use an Silicon Labs or FTDI usb chip with the virtual serial port drivers (VCP). Access the PC's serial port from LabView using VISA (numerous examples) to send the hex file. The bootloader is normally programmed into the microprocessor with a standard programmer (PICStartPlus, ICD2, ICDU40, etc).
I have used the CCS C Compiler for PICs with exceptional results (easy to use, not extremely expensive, numerous examples, library of functions). Hi-tech also provides a demo of their C compiler with example code posted on Microchip's website. The protocol and hex file format should be apparent from the bootloader example code (CCS bootloader.h/c loader.c). The best source of information is Microchip's website. They provide data sheets, application notes, etc.
Hopefully I haven't mis-interpretted your posting and your goal isn't to emulate a device programmer from LabView. If I have, my bad. Microchip has numerous data sheets on the programming spec (voltage levels, bit timing, sample circuits, etc).

Is there an easier way to clear out files (send to trash) from the downloads folder, other than dragging one by one? The downloads folder closes immediately upon dragging one file out.

You do not need to invoke Finder to do this. Create a new empty Automator workflow and use the "Run Shell Script" option. Paste in the following....
mv ~/Downloads/* ~/.Trash
You can then save the workflow as an application, attach it as a Finder action or add it to the scripts menu, whichever you like better.
If you would like to bypass the Trash and just completely delete the Downloads folder contents immediately, then paste in this command:
rm -rf ~/Downloads/*

Imported files into wrong folder, easy way to move them to another?

Two things happened to me this weekend using Lr that caused files to go into the wrong folders.
On one import I forgot to change the folder to a new one and it dropped all of my pics from the CF card into an existing folder. Oops.
On another import I actually had images from what I would consider two seperate events. One was me goofing around taking pictures of the moon and the others were from St. Pattys day at the pub. So I've got moon pics in my St. Pattys 07 folder.
So is there an easy way to correct this without deleting and reimporting? I tried the obvious drag and drops of selected files in the grid but it seemed adamant that this was a no-no.

Try from the center of an image and you should get a wornng dialogue about moving on the hard drive when you drop them on the folder you want. Hey do have to be all from the same folder for a given move.
Try selecting some and doing the arrow trick by the filename in Metadata to go to the folder and then move all you want from one folder to another.
Rather than in All Photos, as I previously mis-stated.

HT1660 is there an easy way to delete the whole itunes library and and start again. I notice there is only an add file/folder button but no remove facility

I recently upgraded to the iphone 5 and managed to sort the transition out with little trouble but noticed when I tried to put my music on that Itunes has messed with album info and either it or me has generated several copies of the same albums over the years and it makes it quite dificult to sort it all out before reloading on the phone. To stop the chaos I had hoped to clear the library and start again but cant find a way to do it. I was hoping to sort all my music out in original files and consolidate them into a proper folder. HOw do I do this. I notice there is an add fole and folder button but no take away??? is there an easy way?

Use Shift > View > Show Exact Duplicate Items as this is normally a more useful selection. You need to manually select all but one of each group to remove. If you have multiple references to the same files then don't send to the recycle bin. Use my DeDuper script if you don't want to do it by hand. See this thread for background and please take note of the warning to backup your library before deduping.

Need an easy way to contact tech support.

Verizon is a big company. We have 3 phones with Verizon. Because of income reduction we closed internet and use it from another family member. Now working 60 hours+ a week... the change was more practical. We are Verizon customers, but did not know that email would disconnect without internet because we can sign into email from the Verizon cell phones.
Now we seem to need the FIOS Technical Support Team, to ask if they can set-up a forwarding message from the old email. Some day they will probably fix this communications disconnect. Nobody would ever use their email if they thought it was to be disconnected when the customers do use other Verizon services. There must be a solution. People can't remember all the small details in times of distress. I am sure Verizon realizes that people don't always have TV, Internet & home phone.
It is a matter of keeping the image of being the service provider of choice. If there are no options, then Verizon suffers from not being valued service providers that the customer thinks they are. People pay for a service (or 3-5 services, phones, TV, internet, multiple family members using and recommending Verizon!). Then if no solutions are offered for email in times of trouble, it leaves a bad message. How could that be? How could Verizon not give options to fix problems from closing internet? I don't believe this is possible yet. Does anyone know a easy way to get Tech support?
When times are better... would you go back if your service provider only helped you with part of your services?

As "topdog" has stated, you can only have Verizon email if you subscribe to Verizon Internet service. That's the nature of the system and nothing has changed in that regard for a very long time. Also it's important to realize that your Verizon mobile phone service is provided by a separate company. Verizon Wireless is the mobile phone company, and Verizon Communications is the Internet company. Maybe that sounds strange, but once again that's the way this thing is organized.
Based on the information you've supplied I'm not certain what your goal is. You may want to consider setting up a free web-based email account such as Google Mail or Outlook.com. In any case you will require some method to get online. Perhaps your local library has Internet service that will allow you to achieve your goals. Of course I'm curious about how you got online to post in these forums. Maybe that's an interim solution until you get things squared away. Good luck.

Step 1: Add YouTube URL
Step 2: Select MP3 as output format
