Easiest way to add video? (preferably free)

I have a client with television adds who wants to add them to the website. I don't have any linear editing software, just the DMX Zone free extension which does not look terribly promising...

Which file format are they in?  Do they require much editing?  If not, you might get away with simply encoding them for Flash Video using the Adobe Flash encoder, RIVA or some other low cost converter.

What's the easiest way to add storage to a mac mini. (1TB hard drive but only 32G of real storage). External device, internal or is there some way to partition? I tried doing so but received a message that there wasn't enough free space to partition. Seems like a 1TB drive should have more storage than my Ipad

Its worth confirming what free space you have on your drive:
go to:   Apple Menu > About this Mac >  More Info > Storage
The bar chart shows how much free space there is on the drive:
Please realise that partitioning does not create extra space so this wont help you.
If your free space is less than 20 % you should get extra storage with an external USB or Firewire drive, any make or model will work.

  • What's the easiest way to pull videos from icloud?

Just did an iOS6 upgrade and need to pull a few videos from iCloud.  What is the easiest way to do this?

The only videos in iCloud are ones that you took on your phone and were stored in the camera roll.  And those are contained in your iCloud backup and can only be retrieved by restoring your phone to the entire backup.  (Unless you mean purchased Movies, which can be redownloaded for free in many countries if permitted by the studio.)

  • Best Way To Add Video For Interactive CD?

I've been searching this all over - I dont see a good option
for something that isn't online. The videos are 45 seconds or so -
so doesnt qualify to work well for an embedded video - I need the
final file to be an SWF so I cant link the video externally - the
progessively downloading option seems like it's only for online
content. Do I have any other options?

    Create your presentation/CD
You can import a .FLV into any frame by going to:
    File/import/Import Video
Browse for the .flv (That you created using Flash 8.0's Flash
video encoder) Free with Flash Pro.
    Then follow the prompts
For more control throw it in a movieClip
Then export as an .exe and .hqx (For Mac if you like)
*Side Note in order to burn a cross-platform CD you will need
to burn on a mac using Toast.

  • Is there a way to add video censors in iMovie 09?

Just want to add a video censor to a couple films. Doesn't have to be anything fancy, just a black box will do just fine.

You should be able to simply drag a video clip onto your video track; the same place you previously had your background image. I believe Video Track 1 is recommended for the background you are going to use.
If you are new to the technique, this short video on YouTube may help:

  • Easiest Way To Create Video Subtitle

Does anyone know how to create VIDEO"S SUBTITLES.....
    I don't want closed caption...i want subtitle
Using Premiere Pro's text to create subtitle...it will spend me for lots of hours doing that
It's very wasting my time doing that....
Does anyone have the way to do it???
I tried using Indesign to create text and export to premiere...but that are too much work to do....
Does anyne have the Plugins or something that can make subtitle.....
And..I want to create not only english...same time i want to create two or three subtitles in the same time
    Example...chinese...malay..etc
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pCcDTyFNfnk
    or
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FRvV-1pu9Pg&list=UUxJlPlbhLmM3pKrPsnidRuA
Create Many Subtitles in a short time...i hope you guys will know...
    I really damn appreciate it....
because i really sick of this problem everytime when i met it.....

Premiere Pro isn't designed to handle open captions; so you will either need to:
Use external tools to generate an image sequence or video track holding the text - Photoshop for example can use external data sources (text/CSV files) to dynamically create a whole series of PNG files.
Render closed caption data to open caption pixels with a plugin such as SUGARfx's "Subtitles".
Generate the caption track using After Effects, which can in turn use scripting to pull the text from a data file. There's an AE plugin called pt_ImportSubtitles which can automate that process for you - Google it.

New to the forum and wondered if someone can help me find a solution in adding a double stroke to text or an object? I have illustrator 10 (Mac). Thanks Also, should I be in a different forum section or is this correct?

Go to window/appearance and add as many strokes and fills you want, and reorder as you need
here you can see a movie on how it works, no matter the video is in AiCS3, works the same in Ai10.

  • Easiest way to send a video Email?

    Hi....
I was wondering (of all the way's) what would be the easiest way to send Video Email?
I would like to use a built in method - meaning: a method that would have an email ability already apart of it's function; not - just record a message and turn it into an attachment....
Suggestions, opinions and comments are welcome
    Thank you in advance....

Yea - that’s what started my whole question in the first place (funny)... I was in PhotoBooth and started looking around to see if there was a function (button) that I could push that would have the recording all set up automatically (to be emailed)... And I was kinda surprised that there wasn’t one (in a round about way) - so that’s when I thought maybe there still would be one somewhere else buried in OS X that I don’t know about. Meaning: might as well take advantage of it - if I got it.... (Right?)...
So now I’ll go look into my Quick Time Pro and see what’s up....

  • Add Video to Website

I have created a few videos for my website but am not sure
the best way to add to my website. I have them on youtube
(wrlonginc is the user name). I tested embedding them on my website
from youtube but did not like that it showed competitors products.
I read that using a flash player was the best way to add video to
my website. I've looked through the adobe website but can not find
out how to actually add my videos to my website. I have converted
to flv format. Can anyone tell me how to get started? Do I need
some software from adobe or is there just simply some code I can
    add?
    Thanks,

Export the file through Adobe Encoder as a H.264 in YouTube wide HQ, and then put it on Youtube. It free. Then just embed the URL on your website.
It is one of the easiest and best way to squeeze all the quality you can on line.
If you hat YouTube, try Vimeo.
    Hope this helps

  • Opinions needed on best way to add a mobile site

We have an existing somewhat older website that does not nicely support mobile devices. While it looks and works fine on tablets, it becomes somewhat unusable on smartphones. We do not have the time/dollars at this point to start from scratch and rebuild with all of the latest bells and whistles. So the question becomes what is the cleanest/fastest/easiest way to add a mobile website. In trying to research this answer, it appears there is no one right answer. I actually have found many possibilities. Right now I have Dreamweaver CS5 and am not going to upgrade any time soon or change tools.
Here are some possibilities I'm considering:
Adding a new "home" page and letting the user decide to either "go lean and mobile" or go wide screen and use the full website. This doesn't seem too bad to me since I'm clearly going to have to maintain 2 websites in the near term.
From there I see choices where the direction is chosen based on the OS or it is chosen based on the screen size. I have seen some based on Javascript and some CSS based. It just gets pretty confusing to know which is best.
We are adding online ordering (pizza place) and want to definitely make it useable for the mobile world. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
As a follow on question, how big of a problem would we run into (how many phone users might we anger) if we used a js based menu on our mobile sit?. Not sure how many devices/OS don't support javascript.
    Thanks so much!
    Donna

If you go down this slippery slope, trying to identify mobile user-agents is the single biggest obstacle you will face.  The list is understandably huge and constantly changing.   To make matters worse, many browsers pretend to be other browsers. So sniffing for mobile devices and redirecting them to your mobile only site is not only a major chore, it's not even 100% reliable.  And then there's the matter of maintaining 2 separate sites...  Oh, don't even go there.
Re-code your current site to make it Responsive.  Below are several Frameworks you can use to jump start your new layouts.
    Foundation Zurb
    http://foundation.zurb.com/templates.php
    Skeleton Boilerplate
    http://www.getskeleton.com/
Initializr (HTML5 Boilerplate, Responsive or Bootstrap)
    http://www.initializr.com/
DMX Zone's Bootstrap *free Extension for DW*
    http://www.dmxzone.com/go/21759/dmxzone-bootstrap/
Project Seven's Page Packs *Commercial CSS Templates for DW*
    http://www.projectseven.com/products/templates/index.htm
Whichever menu system you choose, it needs to be user friendly for desktops as well as touch screen devices.  CSS styled lists are the foundation to build on.  Then you can add jQuery MeanMenu to make it mobile friendly.  I have a working example of it below (resize your browser viewport):

  • Best way/easiest way to Watermark using Aperture 3

I was just curious the easiest way to add a watermark to my pictures in Aperutre 3. I've used Pixelmator in the past , and was happy with it, but can't download the trial again. I was just curious if anyone knew an easy way to create the watermark (like on what program) and then transfer it on to my Aperture pictures. Any thoughts? Thank you

This has been discussed here in the past so searching for 'watermark' in the forum will turn up some useful info.
Briefly to create a watermark file you need to be able to produce either a psd file or a tiff with a program that supports transparency. Again a search of the web will turn up many suggestions. Some possibilities are Photoshop (expensive), Gimp (free) and I've even done it using Keynote which is part of iWorks.
    Hope this helps.

  • The easiest way to put a YouTube video in iWeb...

Whew! I am so stinkin' proud of myself. Now this tip isn't for you techno gurus out there. This is for the person who is as clueless about half the files on their computer as I am.
I have a blog. I tried to use iWebMore...I've tried iWebEnhancer...etc, etc. I just can't figure out how to import YouTube with those. I've got major iDisk issues that I cannot identify much less resolve.
So here's the tip. A couple weeks ago I downloaded a widget called TubeSock for YouTube videos. I finally opened it up to see what it was and guess what? All you do is copy the url of the video right into Tubesock and "save" it to "video for Mac" and "add to movies folder." Ta-da! So then in iWeb you just insert a movie clip and it's right in there. Drop and drag!
If you download TubeSock for free, then it only records 30 seconds of the video. But registering it for $15 lets you download the entire video. (Some of us will pay anything for easy!)
Let me know if you're as happy about this as I am because I cannot BELIEVE I figured something out on my own!!!
Btw, the url to Tubesock is http://stinkbot.com/Tubesock
    ~G
    http://web.mac.com/franke5

Great find Gina. The best thing about using uTube on your site is that it doesn't use up your bandwidth. And I can also tell you that once you figure out how to do one thing with iWeb the rest comes very easy. Hopefully in the next version of iWeb you will be able to add a piece of HTML code right in the site, rather than having to add it post publish. Keep up the good work!
P.S. If your interested in the way to add a uTube video in your iweb site just post your question in here. There are a lot of talented people in this forum willing to share information and ideas.
