Easiest way to mount a bin/cue file

Hi,
What's the easiest way to mount a bin/cue file in OS X?
(without buying Toast Titanium from Roxio).
And: Yes, I've tried using the Disk Utility.

Ended up buying Toast Titanium 10.

    I have a mid year 2007 24 inch iMac and will be purchasing a new 27 inch Retina iMac, what is the easiest way to transfer the data and files from my old machine to the new one?

    Following up on this thread,
    I have a new iMac on the way and my current is from 2008, never had a problem but I am sure there are internal issues that I would prefer not to transfer.
    I have no issues other then the slowness in certain programs and that is the main reason to buy a new one.
    Programs like numbers and pages seem to take a longer time to open after I update to Yosemite.
    I only use 272GB of 500 GB, my memory is 4GB and I am upgrading to 8Gb and bought the 4.0 processor.
    Question:
    Is there a way to manually transfer items or would that be a waste of time in that if there are issues they could be anywhere and would transfer anyway?

  • What is the easiest way to read fixed width ascii files?

    There does not seem to be an easy way to read fixed with ascii files in labview.  CSV files and other delimited files are easy, but I cannot think of a simple way to read data from a fixed width ascii file.

    Reading a file does not depend on its contents. Unless the file is gigantic, you can just read it as one big string and parse it later, especiall if you want the entire contents of the file.
     If you only need a subset, you can calculate the offsets and sizes as multiples of your record size. That's the beauty of fixed size records.
    It is typically not efficient to read a file in a loop, small portions at a time, so I would not recommend that except in some very specific situations.
    Could you be a bit more specific on what exactly you need to do? Is your problem with reading or with parsing the fixed sized records? Could you attach a sample file and some description on what you need to read from it.

  • Bin Cue files to iMovie

    Hi all,
    A friend sent me some of his home movie data for me to edit and to put onto DVD for him. The problem is, they are in Bin_Cue files made on 'that other kind of computer' for burning as VCDs. He doesn't have the original VCDs either. Is there any way to convert these files to DV or Mov or even an Mpeg stream that I can use in iMovie? I've tried ffmpegX, visual hub, VLC, disc mounter, QT Pro, toast Titanium 7.1 and nothing will have a bar of it. Am I missing something or can it just not be done?
    Also, I tried making a VCD with the Bin_Cue files with Toast and it come out black and white. Would anybody have ideas on this one please? - (Please excuse me, this is not a Mac specific question)
    I'll look forward to your input.
    Thanks in advance.

    I guess you could use vcdXrip in GNU vcdtoolsX to extract the MPEGs from the .bin file:
    http://www.sjoki.uta.fi/~shmhav/SVCDon_aMacintosh.html#retrieve
    I wouldn't convert the MPEG1 in a VCD to .dv. Instead, I'd do minimal MPEG-editing if necessary and burn it as a video-DVD. That preserves any quality there is. You only have to resample the 44.1 kHz VCD audio to the 48 kHz video-DVDs use:

  • Easiest way to write XMP data or files into a PDF file

    Hi,
    I wrote a little Adobe Air application, which is intended to generate XMP files for being imported into PDF files. Now I'm searching for the most efficient solution to import these XMP files. I'd be happy if I could select a PDF file from my Adobe Air application and write the metadata into the file, but I didn't find any library to this. Another option is something like a hotfolder. I try to avoid to import these files one by one. Could someone please give me a hint?
    I'd be very glad!
    Thank you beforehand!

    Hi,
    Thanks for your suggestion.
    My experience is more in Postgresql, sql server and ms access. So I can handle sql command better than java.
    According to your suggestion, I come out following design.
    Design:
    1. Use SQL Developer to developer a copy stored procedure.
    - The store procedure will copy ONE row of main data and data in related data table.
    - use database link to access remote database.
    - handle transaction and return error message if got error.
    - update data if the data already copied into destination database.
    2. A java program perform following tasks:
    a. Use jdbc install the stored procedure in #1 into database by "CREATE OR REPLACE FUNCTION ..."
    b. load copy data list from a file.
    c. a loop to call installed stored procedure. Pass one main row per time into stored procedure.
    d. print each main row copy result to stdout in the loop and stop if error happened.
    So, I just need to pass the java program to operator.
    Please tell me if you have any better idea or easier way to implement. Maybe, another possible solution is use shell script to execute sql command in sqlplus. :)
    Thanks,

  • Easiest way to find and remove duplicate files?

    My wife is a photographer and she's terrible at file management. Consequently she has duplicate versions of images stashed all over her almost full hard drive. What is the easiest waty to find duplicates of files so that I can get rid of them? Any freeware out there that does something like that? This would be for her Intel-based macbook pro running Tiger.

    Having spent several hours a few days ago organizing files, I was intrigued by your question.
    I found Singular which is appears to be freeware, for at least the time being. There's a link on the registration page that will register the application for you — I assume Singular has to be running for that to work, but that's just a guess.
    http://www.emeraldion.it/software/macosx/singular.html
    After you run Singular and drop files/folders on it, you can double click a duplicate entry and both versions are displayed.
    Good luck!

  • What is easiest way to mount /OVS on our SAN?

    Hi All,
    We are running Oracle VM Server 2.1.5. We have /OVS on the local machine and want to place it on the SAN. Can we just move the mount point after formatting the SAN storage?
    Thanks.

    I'm still learning all of the VM server configuration and best practices as I'm new to Oracle VM Server but I can tell you the problems/solutions I hit when configuring the SAN storage.
    The best way I have found iis to configure multipath SAN then use the OVM repositories to manage the luns.
    If you do not have the multipath configured your devices have a chance to shuffle around when you present a new lun to the server and you have to update the information in the /etc/ovs/repositories and fstab. Or if your SAN card fails over to the other path you will have problems. (this was my first problem)
    Once you get that configured you can remove any /OVS entries from your fstab and register the cluster root (/OVS) using the repositiory tools.
    For example mine was added using:
    /usr/lib/ovs/ovs-makerepo /dev/mapper/mpath1p1 C 'Cluster Root'
    then I added a couple other luns for extra shared storage
    /usr/lib/ovs/ovs-makerepo /dev/mapper/mpath2 1 '400G Storage'
    /usr/lib/ovs/ovs-makerepo /dev/mapper/mpath3 1 '1T Storage'
    Seemed to work for me.

  • What is the easiest way to freeze-frame a movie file and run it as a still?

    I have a 'chase' sequence of images of elements in the Periodic Table and it slows down and stops on an element. This is in a movie file. After it has stopped I want to hold that single frame for another 10 seconds or s. Rather than make a still is there an expression or shortcut to doing this inside AE? preper to do on the same layer as I have about thirty of these movie layers so don't want to dupliacte if there is a trick to it. But if I have to duplicate how do I assign a locked timecode to replace the running timecode for the layer? I bet its just putting a literal into some propoerty but i dont know which property.

    For freezing a frame for the entire duration, there's Layer > Time > Freeze Frame
    Details are in this section of After Effects Help.

  • Is there anyway to get a bin or a cue file on my 5g ipod?

    Is there anyway to get a bin or a cue file on my 5g ipod?

    Depends on what you want to do with those bin/cue files once you get them there. First connect your ipod, then in itunes preferences under the ipod tab, check the box that says "Enable disk use". Now go to "My Computer" and you will see your ipod as a disk drive. Feel free to copy whatever you want over the thing. Will the ipod do anything with the files? No.

  • What is the easiest way to download a document from SAP DMS with C#?

    Hi,
    I've been sifting through this forum and looked at various posts and sample code, but so far my quest hasn't been fruitful.
    What is the easiest way to download a physical document file from SAP DMS using C#? I'm using the NCo 3 (SAP .NET
    Connector 3).
    Requirements
    - As few dependencies as possible (not adding or changing functionality in SAP)
    - C# code (MS Visual Studio 2012)
    - SAP Environment: NetWeaver 7.4.0
    Thanks for all help.
    Regards,
    Frank

    We've been using BAPI_DOCUMENT_CHECKOUT2, but there seems to be a limitation. From what I've found on Google, you must enable the use of the SAPGUI through the flag UseSAPGUI when connecting to SAP.  It works, but my issue is that when I use it on a web server, I end up with some error when trying to start the GUI.  There is very little recent information for this out there right now.

  • Easiest way to transfer files between two PCs?

    There's a lot of stuff I'd like to transfer from my desktop to my laptop, but unfortunately sneakernet is out, as my pen drive is too small and the desktop can't burn CDs. However, the machines are currently on the same 100 Mbps LAN, and I've got a couple yards of USB cable if that proves necessary.
    What I'd like to know is: what's the fastest and easiest way of transferring the files? Should I use SSH? Should I create an NFS volume and put everything on that?

    Don't tell me you've never even tried using samba?!
    Easy as pie, if you go with "security = share" insetead of "security = user". Less secure of course.
    Look at this samba stanza (my misc share...);
    [misc]
    comment = read and write
    path = /home/pelle/share
    public = yes
    writable = yes
    force group = users
    force user = pelle
    complicated!? I think not.
    [edit]you would of course have to mount this in the client fstab like this;
    //xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/misc /mnt/whatever cifs guest,ro
    (or just use the kio/gnome-vfs smb:/xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx)[/edit]
