Easy album to CD?

Hi Folks,
Looking at this backwards.... what I need is an easy way to end up with a CD containing just jpegs that my mother in law can play on her Photo cd compatable DVD player.
The reason that I am not finding this easy at the moment is that I wish to have the CD match an album in iPhoto. That album will usually contain photos that are held on many different Roll numbers in the iPhoto library and come from at least 2 different cameras with different file pefixes.
As I will be doing a lot of these CDs as our little girl grows up, I need to find a way to quickly move all of the photos from a given iPhoto Album, in album order (not nesssicerily file name order) without any folders or suplimentary files.
Hope you can help,
Cheers,
David.

Te tricky part is the CD that you Mom can play in her DVD player, as Macs won't burn that format without third party software. Otherwise, a DVD is very easy, you can create a Slideshow in iDVD and burn that.
Other than that you'll need an app like Roxio's Toast (http://www.roxio.com/enu/mac.html) which will burn the pics to a CD that will play in a DVD. The good news is that Toast has iPhoto integration. You can draw your pics from iPhoto using the Media Browser which reads your iPhoto library and albums.

  • Nested Folders (or Albums)?

New to iPhoto, used to have evrything on Windows.
Here's the nested structure I would like:
YEAR 2010 (effectively just a heading folder, no pics actually in it)
                                                                                                                 Topic subfolders (e.g. "Christmas Parties")
                                                                                                                                                                                        Party 1
                                                                                                                                                                                        Party 2
                                                                                                                                                                                       Party 3
    YEAR 2011
    .....and so on.
Obviously some topic subfolders will stand alone with all that topics pics in it; others will themselves have sub-folders. And some will be empty (i.e. effectively just heading folders like "Christmas Parties" above) with all the actual pics in its subfolders.
I've messed about for hours with Albums and Folders in iPhoto but just can't seem to get this together. Maybe it's not possible? Maybe I'm thinking Windows and have to reconceptualize?
    Any ideas gratefully received!

    Sure - easy
ALbums hold photos - folders hold albums and/or other folders
so you create folders and ablums like
    Vacations
         Europe
            France
            Italy
         South America
        Asia
           China
            Korea
        North America
            Canada
            USA
                   Alaska
                   Utah
    Continue as needed

  • Is there an easy way to count the number of albums I have in my library?

Hi, there is probably a very easy way to find out how many albums I have in my iTunes library - but I haven't discovered it yet! (looking for something a bit like word count in MS Word document?)
    Powerbook G4 15 1.67   Mac OS X (10.4.3)   my first Mac - where have I been!?!

Click on the Library icon in the source list Go Edit->Show Browser.
This will split the library window into subwindows listing each genre, artist and album, at the top of these windows it will show the total for each of these categories.
Apart from being the easiest way to count your albums, it's also a really useful way to view the library or any playlist. You can turn off the genre subwindow through the general preferences.
    Hope that helps!
    Sara.

Hi. I am having an issue with music on my IPod. It would probably be easier to explain my specific issue: I have songs by Band of Horses from Cease to Begin. When viewing my albums through cover flow, it shows Cease To Begin as two separate albums, one with only Islands on the Coast, and the other having Islands on the Coast with 3 other songs. If I delete the album with only one song from my IPod, it deletes the song from the other "album" as well. If I go to "All Songs" by Band of Horses, it only shows one Islands on the Coast, so it is not a duplicate issue. Also, in Itunes, it only shows one album. I just recently updated to iOS5 on my 4th Gen IPod Touch, if that helps.

Generally adding a common album artist will fix things.

  • If I have say 200 photos in an EVENT and I use 50 of them in an ALBUM and months later I'm happy with the ALBUM and want to trash the 150 extras in part to save space on the hard drive, is there an easy way to find which photos to delete?

If I have, say 200 photos in an EVENT and I use 50 of them in an ALBUM, and months later I'm happy with the ALBUM and want to trash the extra 150 photos, is there an easy way to know which 150 photos to trash? My idea is to not have hundreds of photos taking up space on the hard drive.
    Thanks.

    Various ways:
Easy one: Flag the ones you want to keep (do this in the Album - Select All and Flag)
    Then:
    File -> New Smart Album
Event -> contains -> Name of the Event
Photo -> Is Not -> Flagged
    will find the unwanted 150.

  • HT1399 When I import a CD to itunes, it splits the album in to multiple entries. I have changed the info on some but others just will not merge. Is there an easy way to do this and can I stop them from splitting in future? Thanks

Okay this is what fixed my problem. Some kind of error/glitch occured half-way through importing that third cd that prevented further imports from any other cd. Once I completely removed the half-imported cd album from my library I could further import cd's without any problems.

Find the song in the iTunes Store and gift it!
I just did that successfully with a song I previously bought, and it works just fine:
Just click the down facing arrow to the right of "Play".

  • ITunes auto changed a bunch of albums to have the same name and art. Any easy fix?

So iTunes randomly changed a bunch of albums to be The Frozen Borderline by Nico with the album art (the artist names and song names are still the same though). I was just curious is there an easy fix, or do I have to go through and fix it one-by-one manually? Here's a screenshot: http://i.imgur.com/n6hfCZg.jpg

Please? I really need help on this.

  • How to erase an album from iphone 5s. IT IS EASY

It is easy. If you cannot find the delete button for the photos synchronized from your computer,
a- connect your phonte to itunes
    b- choose photos
c- choose select folders but DO NOT CHECK ANY of the albums which will appear as a list
    d- press synchronize
you will see that all the unwanted albums at your iphone will be deleted since you did not check any album to be synchronized.

    open the photos app.
click on the "album" icon at the bottom.
click "edit" in the upper right corner.
click the red "negative" button to the left of the album you want to delete.
    click the "delete" button.
this will not delete all of the pictures from the phone, but it will delete the album.
if you want to delete all of the pictures, you have to click on each individual picture in the camera roll and trash each one.

  • Is there an easy way to delete complete albums instead of selecting and deleting each single foto?

I am using an ipad 4 with IOS 8.0.2
I am using the Standard "Photo" app
Is there an easy way to delete complete albums instead of selecting and deleting each single photo? I want to reorganize the structure of my Pictures and delete lots of the photos and download new Pictures via iTunes Synchronisation.

Go to Albums. Tap edit in the upper right corner. Tap the x. Tap done.

I installed latest version of OS X.  How do I alphabetize my albums in Photos?  Was easy in iPhoto but I have no idea how to do in Photos.  Anyone have a solution?

    Hey Utahan,
If you go to the menu bar and click View > Show Sidebar. You can then either right-click, or hold down the Control Key and click, on Albums to get Sort By Name.

  • Accidentally overwrote all album artwork - any easy way to restore???

I accidentally reset all of my itunes songs album art to a single album image. Aargh! Needless to say, big mistake. Is there any easy way to recover the original art, or is it gone forever??
    Laura.

How did you do that? You might try Fetch Art. From the Read Me:HOW TO USE IT:
In iTunes, select one or more songs, or select a playlist, then choose "Fetch Art" from the iTunes Script menu. The Fetch Art application will start, and attempt to download art for the songs you chose. After art downloading has finished, select one or more of the songs to see what art was found. If you are happy with the art that was found, hit Return to copy the art to iTunes.
You can also copy art to iTunes for every song in the list by choosing "Fetch Art" > "Copy All Art to iTunes," or by hitting command-T. This may take awhile if there are many songs in the list.

  • An easy way to delete a whole album without having to select it's tracks?

I have only been using iTunes for the past week after purchasing an iPod Nano, and am used to using Wmp 11. In Wmp 11, if you want to delete an album from your local library or dap, you can just right-click the album art and select 'delete'- job done.
However, in iTunes, I have found I have to make sure my Artist and Album categories are shown at the top of my track list (by clicking the 'eye' button at the bottom right), select the album so just that albums tracks are displayed, select one of the tracks, then Ctrl+A to highlight all the tracks, then press Del. Is there something I am missing here? I have checked the iTunes help, and can't see any other way of deleting a whole album without having to highlight all the albums tracks.
    Any help would be appreciated.

Blimey! Why didn't I think of that? Especially as I knew to press the 'Del' key to delete highlighted tracks. I am assuming you can do the same if you want all an artists album collection removed too- highlight the artist and press 'Del'?
I think what it is, I am just used to right-clicking with Wmp11, and I am not used to using the keyboard for such tasks.
Thanks for the reply. I know now my question must seem rather silly.

  • Can I view the songs or albums by most popular in list format? (easy star)

I'm just curious and I'd like to see what song is the most popular.
I find all the pictures and album art really annoying.
I don't use the store for buying music.
to clarify , I'd like to see the whole iTunes catalog visible in regular itunes list view.

I'd like to see the whole iTunes catalog visible in regular itunes list view.
Not possible. There are millions of tracks in the iTunes Store, so there's no practical way the entire catalog could be displayed in a single list. If, however, you just want to see the Top Songs in a list, click the small right-facing arrow to the right of the "Top Songs" header.
