Easy set-up configuration

I shot a project in DV wide screen format 16:9 (on mini-DV tape), in capturing the footage in FCE using Easy Set-up should the FORMAT drop down be set to NTSC (I'm in the States) and should the USE drop down be set to DV-NTSC Anamorphic? (The other USE drop down options have 32 kHz, Anamorphic Basic, Firewire Basis or DV Converter.)
I know this is a lame question but I've read through the FCE manual and am just not finding a direct answer.

Mac Mini Server Database Set-up - Configure & Implement Help

I have a database developer who is fluent in PC languages but not fluent with Macs who need serious help setting up my new database solution using my new Mac Mini Server running Lion 10.7.2. They are lacking the Mac knowledge - but are working on building my database / website solution - to be implementated on the Mac Mini Server.
Quickly...Here's what we are building. I own an Event Photography business specializing in Youth Sports. I bring all the Mac system Computers, (MacBook Pro's, 8 iPad 2's, AirPort Extreme, Mac Mini Server). *Important Note* - we will not ever have internet connection. We will offer photos taken directly at the Event...to View & Order via our wireless iPads (used simply for viewing photos). Customers are "viewing" photos from the iPads - accessing photos from our (off-line) website / database Hosted locally on our Mac Mini Server. All our Mac Computers are "wired" / connected / to the AirPort Extreme and "shared" on a local net (again with No-internet access).
Is there anyone out there who can help them by phone / internet / shared screen etc. to HELP SET UP THE MAC MINI SERVER - to make the database work? They need help with PHP, My SQL, Apachee set-up & configure questions.
This all sounds very complex to a Non-Database guy...but probably a simple check-list walk-thru helpful guide - for someone who's more knowledgeable with working with the Mac Mini Server.

well to be honest I wanted a server to run more aspects of what I do privately (rather tahn at work) rather than use hosted accounts from disparate hosted providers on line. In partcular wanted a mail server to handle multiple mail domains, wiki server, web sever as per mail server and I was interested in what they would provide for iphone ipad etc as I have a few that I wanted to link to a server rather than individual macs and pcs
I also thought that Apple might bring their abilities to creating a great UI for essentially linux operating systems to a server os.
from initial views though it might have been easier (cheaper) to go to ubuntu and just their server version of linux. Anyway I will persist - I will read through the stuff you guys have linked me to - colinsolutions appears to have aimed me at some useful stuff. Looks like a bigger "project" than i imagined - but I havent looked at UNIX since 1986 so if I have to get into the command line it wont kill me I am sure.

ps simon - i found that the name for the server with the .local extension is visibile from the mac via finder and allows me to connect to the shared folder. so my server is sdhome - the shared resource is sdhome.local ... not sure if this helps but...

Access/set dynamic configuration in client/server abap proxy

Hi,
I have 2 question regarding reading/setting dynamic configuration in ABAP proxies:
1) Is it possible to set dynamic configuration objects in a server abap proxy (SAP --> XI)?
When looking at the class CL_PROXY_FRAMEWORK is looks as if it is possible. This class has en attribute IF_XMS_MAIN~DY which is a reference to the class CL_XMS_MSGHDR30_DYNAMIC.
I'm not sure if I'm supposed to try and access the dynamic configuration objects via this class or if I'm supposed to use the GET_PROTOCOL method in some manner as suggested by:

Above link is for client proxies not server, and I've been unable to find any documentation on this for server proxies.
2) The same question goes for server proxies (XI --> SAP), though now I would like to set some dynamic configuration data.
This I believe should be done using get_protocol( if_wsprotocol=>ws_header ) as indicated by before mentioned link.
However in both cases I'm not sure of if it is indeed possible and which road to choose for sure. So a hint or 2 would be really nice.

Easy Set-Up for Canon 5D Mark II Media

I was in the forum about a month ago, and thanks to you all I learned what I needed to know to transcode my Canon 5D Mark II media to FCE. But, now I am shooting with Canon's new firmware that allows to capture media at 24 fps. Now, I know that FCE is not optimum for this media, but because I don't use pirated software and I am low on cash what is the best Easy Set-Up for FCE. Now, I have it set at Format: HD ; Use: HDV-Apple Intermediate Codec 1080i60 ; Rate: 29.97.

To answer you first question, I have FCE v 4.01.
I found the following video on u-tube very helpful,http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XRpUs_My-Oo, however make sure you follow the instructions given in the forum as to what values to place in MPEG Streamline. If you combine the two you should be OK. I am not sure I understand your second question, but I have not had to make a render step in placing clips in FCE timeline. But, I am not that knowledgable about FCE. I am still very low on the learning curve.... yet, I hope this is somewhat helpful...Good Luck

How to set the 'Configuration Bits' in the PIC16F84

I am using the PIC16F84 in a circuit and I'm programming the assembly for the PIC. However I can't figure out how to set the configuration bits. For example I want to select the LP Oscillator, turn the WDT off, turn the PUT on, and turn the CP off. Normally if I was using the IDE from Microchip I would add the line:
_CONFIG H'3FF0'
However Multsim does not recognize this as a valid code. In addition the P16F84.inc file contains the following definitions:

I tried this in the assembler and it didn't return any error messages when compiling. I found this in a PIC Book that I downloaded off the internet.
I hope it works for you. I am new to the MCU Module and learning about it so don't consider me an expert on it by a long shot.

Over riding "inbuilt audio" for the audio out put in the easy set up?

Hi all. I just got hold of Final Cut express and I can not get audio to come out of my external audio interface( MOTU 2408 III).
I have noticed that the default setting in the easy set up is for inbuilt audio.
How do I over ride this?

PS Audio system setting is set for the MOTU... infact warning beeps are going through external... just not movie audio

where the fix is "in your registry, go to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MSDTS\ServiceConfigFile
or
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server\100\ServiceConfigFile
if value is empty then add in:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\100\DTS\Binn\MsDtsSrvr.ini.xml"

SLD installation - easy and quick configuration to activate the SLD

Dear All,
I am installing a SLD in a separate server, base on AS-JAVA usage type.
I am reading guide from http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/nw-sld.
After installing the SLD, I read that "You only have to perform the easy and quick configuration to activate the system landscape directory there. No further installation required, only quick configuration to activate SLD in a system."
My question :
Is there a guide to perform the easy and quick configuration" ?

Hello,
When you define iit as SLD in the installation phase it should come as preconfigured.
All you need to do is check whether things are active and bring the system to latest CIM.
Then start adding other system to this new SLD as per standard method.
Once you finish the installation of the system http://hostname:5<instance number>00/sld needs to be run.
Check if that URL is active and in administration link check if the SLD is running.
That should be it.

Set TestStand Configuration Directory

HI,
I'm trying to set TestStand Cfg directory from a LabVIEW OI (I customized the full featured OI shipped with TestStand). This works fine only if I restart TestStand. I understand I only need to shutdown the Engine. My question is how can I restart the Engine without restarting everything? (there is no such thing as a Start Engine method) Could a GetEngine method work? What would be the best way to accomplish this task? I don't want my customer to restart the software.
I need to set the configuration directory because different softwares might be installed on the same station with different configurations (different station globals for example), or maybe developping 2 applications for 2 clients on the same computer.

                   i want to set Cfg folder path through operator interface.vi so I've placed the following program into operator interface.vi before intitalize.vi (the operator interface.vi is located @ C:\Programm files\National Instruments\Testsand2010\opeartor Interface\LabVIEW.....)
            The Teststand maneger reference from operator interface.vi is passes through this vi, as i run the operator interface.vi this program executes without error but i get error at the next property node "IApplicationMgr --> Start" which is placed into intialize.vi
Error : Two Application maneger is opened
          I have tried two options, for each i get same error, the options are as follows
1) The TSUI.IApplication maneger reference is opened and closed in operator interface as well as the above program seperately
2) I have passed only one TSUI.IApplication maneger reference through out operator interface

I have a custom security class (deployed in an application) that uses JAAS
to login, i have to set the Configuration in my security handler like this
Configuration.setConfiguration(new MyConfiguration());
This fails with
java.lang.SecurityException: No Permission to set the Configuration
How do i give this class the permission to set configuration???

Where is Easy Set-up Location?

Experimented with a project using a Sony VX2000 which is DV where audio was set at 32 kHz. Having trouble with audio drift capturing that DV from my DHR-1000 Deck. Made an Easy Set-up with 32kHz audio instead of standard 48kHz. Didn't help.
Now I want to delete that Easy Set-up. Can't find it. It is NOT under either:
HD-->Library-->Application Support-->FCP System Support-->Custom Settings
nor is it under
User-->Library-->Application Support-->Final Cut Studio
I quit FCP and restarted, thinking that was what was needed. Didn't help.

Guess not the end of the world, will just make me slower in trying different setups that I know I can't delete if don't work.

Must have 1 Easy Set Up File?

I posted before about having lost my serial number and being unable to start my FCE. I got a serial number from Apple and I entered it where asked. Then Final Cut Express began to load and an error message popped up stating "Unable to start Final Cut Express. You must have at least 1 Easy Set Up File. Please re-install Final Cut Express and try again."
My problem is that I no longer have my Final Cut disc. Any ideas on how to get my FCE to work?

You should contact Apple. You must uninstall and reinstall the application, and the only way to do that is from a disc.

Exporting error "Nothing can be exported until at least one setting is configured"

I imported a GPO Folder export into Microsoft Security Compliance Manager.
Then, I went to export it as SCCM DCM 2007 (.cab) so that I can prepare to import it into SCCM for Configuration Baseline data.
However, Compliance Manager throws me an error which I haven't run into on any other GPO's I've done the same process for.
Does anyone know what this mean and how I can fix this?
After import, I go to Export:
Save it as file name USGCB WIN7 User Settings_DCM.CAB
Immediately get this message, so it doesn't save after all:
Microsoft Security Compliance Manager
Nothing can be exported until at least one setting is configured.

Does anyone know what needs to be configured? It seems to me the settings are configured? I haven't got this message until this one and I've done about 10 other exports with no issue.

Were you able to resolve this issue, I'm encountering the same exact issue (SCCM 2012 R2, SCM 3.0, trying to export a GPO, which was imported into SCM, in the hope of exporting it, to create a 'GPO baseline' in SCCM 2012).

WVC54GCA Error: Unable to set system configuration

I logged in as administrator into the WVC54GCA website.
When I try to Disable theled, I get an error message popup box, saying "Error: Unable to set system configuration".
This same message also appears when I try to enter a "Description" for the camera.
Both of these settings are part of the Basic Setup of the camera'a web site.
Does anyone know the solution to this problem?

Try to use another computer,login into the Camera setup page and try to disable the LED operation..If that does not work then,reset the camera and re-configure it.
