Easy : vendor user ID request on logon screen

Hello gentlemen,
A very easy question to win 10 points.
I would like registered vendors to be able to request user IDs on EBP logon screen. But I can only see ID request for internal employees.
Should we give the vendors an other URL or do we have to activate an internet service?
Thanks in advance and first come, first served!

Hello Christophe,
Thank you so much for your quick help. Once again you will get points.
2 new questions :
A. BBPVENDOR
The thing is that I observed we can invoke an internet service "BBBPVENDOR". From that screen I have a "register" option. Then I have two problems:
1. Vendor has to log (and at this stage of course he will have no login)
2. After logging he can request the creation of a vendor, a bidder or a portal (still not understood what that portal means by the way) but not that of an employee for the business partner!
Should I stop investigating on this way?
B. Supplier self-registration <u>with extended classic</u>
My client has SRM 4 and runs extended classic. Once supplier has registered and has been accepted, how will we able to get it replicated to R/3?
Look forward to hearing from you.

@ Arindam Banerjee: Feel free to post you findings if they are interesting or "common mistakes", but please only use this thread. Ideally this is stuff for the wiki - if not already in help.sap.com or the system itself...
Specifically in this case, user menus is no easy task in the wild and is very dependent on how you build your roles.

  • Add users to Windows logon screen (server 2008 R2)

    Hello
Our one server was setup to display 3 user names in the logon screen, vs just the username / domain options to fill out.
The settings have been blown away somehow, and i need to re-add a few users to the logon screen.
I have tried the suggestions with no luck. Most sites recommend Interactive Logon: Do not display last user name gpo
setting. This did not work for me.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks

    Hi Giermo,
Please try to modify the regeistry to achieve this, please also note Always make a backup of the Windows Registry before you modify any settings:
    Open regedit
    Press Windows+R
    Type regedit + enter
    Navigate to [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList]
You will probably want to right-click on “ProfileList” and click export to save the entire subtree in case something goes wrong.
You will find several subfolders or “keys” named something like “S-1-x-xx…”, open them one at the time
Each should contain at least the three value-sets, “Flags”, “ProfileImagePath” and “State”, some will contain more
Look at the end of ProfileImagePath for the name of the user represented by the key
You will usually have one for each user on the system, and one for each of the three system entries ‘systemprofile’, ‘LocalService’ and ’NetworkService’
Delete any key (i.e. the whole “S-1-x-xx” folder) that does not contain at least those three values. Also delete any empty key named default.

  • Logon screen in SAP Easy Access

    Hi,
I want to add up a new logon screen after the user logs in to the system with his sap user id and password.I want this to happend in SAP Easy Access screen.
This should happen when user tries to enter any transaction in the list box or when he tries to double click any transaction from the sap menu treee or user menu tree.
    Is this possible???

    Hi Martin,
Thanks for the reply......let me tell you my requirement in brief
When user logs in for first time.........in the sap easy access screen Iu2019m starting up a transaction(default transaction, module pool programming with some dialog screen for further login checks which are custom checks).I've achieved it.
Now in our PRD systems the user logs in and we will not be setting up any parameter to him like what we have discussed in transaction RZ11.(to auto log off, if the user is IDEAL for long time).........so there is no question of user sessions getting terminating if he is IDEAL for long time.
My requirement is if THE USER IS IDEAL IN PRD SYSTEM for let say 3 mins or more then my custom screen should pop up again......
Is this possible with the code which you gave me????

  • Logon screen during transport of a change request

    Hi Gurus,
When I have do a transport of a change request from our development system to our quality system some users get a logon screen and some users not.
I think it's because of some authorization.
Can anybody tell me which role I need ??
    GJ

    Hi
some users have permission to import transports (Auth object S_CTS_ADMI) in the target client.
If another user has no authorization, charm tries to import via client 000 -> logon screen appears if current user has no permission to logon via trusted rfc to client 000
Another possibility is to give user TMSADM the authorization to import in client 000. So all users can import.

  • User-Exit/Badi For Vendor Down Payment Request

    hi All,
Is there any user-exit or badi available for vendor down payment request?
    tcode:f-47.
    please let me know.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Raj

I want to trigger an event for workflow when
a vendor down payment request is created in
    *tcode f-47.*
Well if you are not able to find the correct enhamcement spot then you can approach as below
When ever you create a New Item In the Tcode F-47 the  if you succesfully saves the data then it prompts you a message like below
*Document 1700000000 was posted in company code 2100*
So instead of searching for Exits or BAdi's try to Start workflow by using the message
for this all you need to bind the message and the Workflow , for this you have use the transaction SWUY it is a wizard where you need to specify the Message class and the message number

  • Certain Users getting double logon screen when accessing the Portal

I have about 15 users out of 2500 that are getting the double logon screen when accessing the Portal. It's very intermittent, one minute it works fine the next minute it doesn't. I've tried almost everything on the client side, opened a case with Microsoft. Still no help.
Does anyone have any ideas on this?

The users are getting a login page with 2 login boxes. they can login, but it does not single sign them in.
Yes we are using SPNEGO, and it works for everyone except these users, and it does work sometimes for them
Yes it is possible these users are using NTLM becasue I see some events in the event viewer on the client indicating this
You find an event similar to the following event in the system event log:
    Event Type: Warning
    Event Source: LSASRV
    Event Category: SPNEGO (Negotiator)

  • Logon Screen - Users now required to click on 'Other User' before entering account info

    Hi all,
we recently deployed a number of updates to the Windows 7 devices on our estate. The updates installed ok but now the Windows logon screen has changed.
Previously: the user pressed ctrl + alt + del and then had to enter their Username and Password
Now: the user presses ctrl + alt + del, the user has to click on the 'Other User' icon and then enter their Username and Password
Can anyone provide any information on why the Other User icon may have suddenly appeared or, more significantly, suggest how it may be disabled? In GPO
Interactive Logon:Do not display last username is set to enabled.
Any help would be much appreciated since i'm stumped.
    Thanks!

Quick update, managed to figure out how to fix this issue:
in GPO; Computer Config > Adm Templates > System > Hide entry points for Fast User Switching (set to
    Enabled)
I still have no idea why the installation of updates caused Fast User Switching to kick in, but hiding the entry points seems to have solved the issue. If anyone has any suggestions as to why the problem manifested itself in the first place, i'm all ears!

    IWDClientUser wdUser = WDClientUser.getCurrentUser();
    IUser currentuser = wdUser.getSAPUser();
And I don't want to raise exception,if the user is a guest.I just want to show the logon screen to him and let him to logon.
I know if the webdynpro application is on the portal, it has no need.
But I just want to do this for test.
Is there any code to do this?
    Thank you.
    Best Regards
    delma

    Hi Delma,
If you need the logon before starting the application itself, then you can set "authentication=true" in the application properties.
If you wanna show some initial content in WD and on any specific user action, if you want the user to login, then try this:
         if(WDClientUser.forceLoggedInClientUser().isAnonymousUser())
              WDClientUser.forceLogoffClientUser("<app url>");

    Hi,
We have a problem logging on to our portal system.
We changed the logon screen par file to add a graphic, this worked ok but we found a cosmetic error.

We have put back the original par file but are still getting the same error.
We have changed the par file on other systems without any problem in the past.

  • Logon screen doesn't allow to navigate b/w fields.

    Hi,
I have deployed successfully forms on web using Forms6.0 and
    OAS4.0.7 with 8i as the back-end.
I have a strange problem with the Logon Screen. When I request
for the URL it loads the applet and displays the forms Logon
screen, here, I can't navigate between user, password and connect
    fields using tab.
Also, the logon screen doesn't centre when request for the
first time .. coz it depends upon resolution. Is there anyway to
set autom resizing parameter? which resize the applet depending
upon the resolution of the client system.
If anybody has figured out how to make this navigation please let
    me know.

  • EP6 and BW Query iView - unwanted logon screen - Help please

    Hello,
I have a BW Query iView.
I noticed that EP6 authentication works for query contents (logon method to BW is UIDPW plus user mapping) but I get an unwanted auth login window as soon as static content arrives from BW.
I mean... the query is coming from http://mybwhost:8000/sap/bw/BEx (and no auth logins are shown) but when requests for static content like
http://mybwhost:8000/sap/bw/Mime/BEx/Icons/checked.gif start then I get one.
I think is a BW setting (shall /sap/bw/Mime/* be set without authentication?)
    Any further hints are welcome.

please guide me   to achive this.
the client is not at all happy with  present look and feel,
so what we can do t achieve ths?
    Thank you in advance.
    Swapna

    Hi Swapna,
Portalapp.xml is the configuration file of portal application holding comonents and services. Where as authschemes.xml file is used to determin and tell portal which of the user authentication schemes is to be used. It also tells portal about which logon PAR file should be used. It is defined inside following tags.
    <frontendtarget>Logon PAR File Name</frontendtarget>.
Take a scenario for example. You have created a custom logon PAR file and made some changes. You cannot see the changes before deploying it. You have to deploy it first. Now, you want that whenever somone logon to portal, your logon PAR should be referred and executed. Authschemes.xml does this work. It maintains a reference to the PAR file that should be used for logon.
Now, still have to create a custom authschemes.xml file and upload it. (Follow this link for the authschemes file location http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/1a/3afd4e641b8f42ac07bb77fe30375b/content.htm)
Refer this link for details on authschemes.xml file: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/d3/1dd4516c518645a59e5cff2628a5c1/content.htm
Let us see in brief what are the steps executed:
    1) You request a portal login
    2) Portal, after receiving a request, looks for a reference to which Authschemes file to be used. It finds it in Visual Admin
    3) Once portal have the name of authschemes file, it parse this file and determin what are the authentication schemes to be used and which logon PAR should be executed.
    4) Only after these steps, it renders logon page to you
Once you do all these steps, you can see the result on logon page itself. You do not have to look for deployed PAR file.
