Easy way to assign a frequently used geotag

Most of my images are shot from the same 3-4 locations and manually setting a geotag for each is time consuming. Is there an easier may to do this?
1) Lift and stamp?
2) Assign a geotag to a keyword? (i.e. long/lat for my house is applied when I assign the "my house" keyword to an image)
3) Automator workflow?
Any thoughts? Thanks!

The free version of GPS2Aperture* will effectively let you lift-n-stamp co-ordinates from one image to another.

  • Easy way to assign 250 objects to 1 doc?

    Hi.
    We have a task to assign a lot of materials (let's assume 250) to one document.
    There is an excel file with the list of materials, so user can copy them with ctrl+c.
    The best way could be to use simple ctrlc and ctrlv combination.
    The problem is that transaction CV02N doesn't allow to paste all 250 materials with cntrl+v at once
    On the screen 25 lines for assignment are visible, so user can paste just 25 materials, then press scroll down, paste another 25 and so on. For users it's not so comfortable. By the way, table  control on F4 screens allows it.
    I wonder to know, if there is may be any other simple way to assign a lot of objects to one document?
    Thanks a lot

    Hi,
    In standard you can assign all the objects. only thing you can paste max.15 object values at a time.Then scroll down and add.
    This is the only solution in standard but it's effective and fast than taking extra efrorts by using any other method.
    Hope this will help.

  • HT1386 simple and easy way to sync my contacts from iPhone 3gs to Macbook Pro that both my partner and I use. Have tried with photos and and only 350 of 3,500 items have synced. Remember simple and easy, I'm still learning-slowly.

    Simple and EASY way to sync contacts from 3gs iPhone to MacBook Pro. Partner and I both use macBook. I have tried and get a message that only 350 of 3,500 item have syncd- all photos. I'm still learning and am very afraid of doing something that will wipe out all info,contacts and photos. Entering this site, the account shows my partners name, but accepts my other information.

    First of all, you should always save you photos on computer like any other digital camera.
    Backup on iCloud or iTunes only backup your Camera Roll. The other photos should be already on the computer.
    Note: Photos are not saved in iTunes, it's only a conduit between your iPhone and your photo managing software on computer.
    What computer do you have?

    I'm using apple's bluetooth keyboard and I need an easy way to switch between the text and numbers fields instead of tapping on the screen

    While not in edit mode:
    - if start typing numbers, then it enters number mode.
    - if start typing text, then it enters text mode.
    Using the arrow keys exits edit mode. So this should work for you:
    1 Type text into a cell, which enters text mode.
    2 Press Return to move to the next cell.
    3 Press right arrow key to exit edit mode.
    4 Press left arrow key to get back to the cell.
    5 Type a number, which enters number mode.
    Another method that requires more planning ahead of time is to format the cells as text or number before starting the data entry. Then when you navigate to a cell while in edit mode, you will be in the appropriate mode (without having to exit edit mode).
    This all works fine for me. Hopefullly it does for you also.

  • If I have say 200 photos in an EVENT and I use 50 of them in an ALBUM and months later I'm happy with the ALBUM and want to trash the 150 extras in part to save space on the hard drive, is there an easy way to find which photos to delete?

    If I have, say 200 photos in an EVENT and I use 50 of them in an ALBUM, and months later I'm happy with the ALBUM and want to trash the extra 150 photos, is there an easy way to know which 150 photos to trash? My idea is to not have hundreds of photos taking up space on the hard drive.
    Thanks.

    Various ways:
    Easy one: Flag the ones you want to keep (do this in the Album - Select All and Flag)
    Then:
    File -> New Smart Album
    Event -> contains -> Name of the Event
    Photo -> Is Not -> Flagged
    will find the unwanted 150.

  • Is there an easy way to use MOVE when importing from card reader?

    In Lightroom 1, I would hit File -> Import From Disk which would allow me to move photos from my card reader to the hard drive.
    In Lightroom 3, the only option is the normal import dialog and in order to get the "Move" option I have to select "other source" and then scroll down the list to select the card reader in order to get the "Move" option.  It's a pain to do it every time.  (not to mention my wife will never do it and just use "copy").
    So my question is, "Is there a way to get the Move option to be available by default on my card reader?"
    It's been my workflow since 2004 to have the images deleted directly after I copy them off the memory card using Adobe software (Photoshop Album 2.0, Photoshop Elements 4, Lightroom 1.0).  I'm really hoping there is an easy way to accomplish this in Lightroom 3. Otherwise I will be pretty disappointed.

    function(){return A.apply(null,[this].concat($A(arguments)))}
    brianbjork wrote:
    The reason I like the move command so much is that I know when photos are on my memory cards that the are not on my computer.
    LR defaults to not importing suspected duplicates.  so if there are still files on the card, they will be grayed out. That's how you can know.
    function(){return A.apply(null,[this].concat($A(arguments)))}

    What do you all use in your work flow to delete the pictures left on your memory cards after they are copied?
    I have a shell file that removes the files from the card and ejects the disk.  I keep it in my dock for easy access.
    Others will tell yiou, though, to format in camera. Which is a good idea! I just like to keep my cards empty and ready.

    Hello eagjdw
    You can keep the one Apple ID for purchases and then create another one for a personal account for contacts and calendars. The article below will assist further

    Thanks -- I would like to try this. I do not know how to reach hard drive from old mac to new. Can you help me with this?
    There are two ways - you can boot your old Mac in Target Mode (reboot your Mac, and as soon as you hear the startup chime hold down the T key on the keyboard until you see the yellow/orange Firewire logo on screen).  You can then use a FireWire cable to connect your new mac to your old one.  The old Mac hard drive will appear on your new Mac as if it is an external hard drive.
    Details on Target Disk Mode:  http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1661
    If you don't have a firewire cable but you do have a home network (i.e. both computers can access the Internet at the same time), you can share the hard drive on your old Mac and then connect to it on your new Mac.
    Good article on sharing your hard drive:  http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1549
    Finally, if the above doesn't thrill you, you can hook an external drive to your old Mac, copy the mail folder over to it, then connect the external drive to your new Mac and copy it over.  It's two steps, but if you don't have a firewire cable and aren't comfortable with sharing over a network it will work just as well - you just have to wait for the mail folder to copy twice instead of once.
    If you get stuck post back!

    Sorry, but no.  Pages 4 is still in an iWork folder within your Applications folder.  You can use that to get work done.

  • Is there and easy way for Position control using analog input?

    Hi Everyone,
    I would like to set one of the axis with stepper motor using analog feedback to keep the set position which is coming from the analog input.
    In other words I would like the stepper to move when the analog input changes. I need it as a "background service" so the rest of the motion could be easily controlled from the NI-Motion Assistant.
    Is there any easy way to do this? Even complicated is ok but the control should be done by the NI Motion card not the PC processor.
    Thanks,

  • An easy way to make my animated characters eyes blink frequently

    Hey
    I'm making an animation movie, with a character that is in almost all the scenes.
    To make him more vivid I want to make his eyes blink frequently. I made an eyelids object I can
    cover his eyes with, so it looks like they are closed.
    I would just put the eyelids on manually a lot of times, but I'm guessing there is an
    easier way.
    Can anybody help med out?
    Regards, Christian

    Great thanks!
    I found this expression to put on the opactiy of the eyelid:
    minSeg = 2.0;
    maxSeg = 5.0;
    blinkDur = .5
    seedRandom(index,true)
    segStartTime = -random(minSeg,maxSeg);
    segEndTime = segStartTime;
    i = 1;
    while (time >= segEndTime){
    i += 1;
    seedRandom(i,true);
    segStartTime = segEndTime;
    segEndTime = segEndTime + random(minSeg,maxSeg);
    if (time > segStartTime + blinkDur) 0 else 100
    My problem is that I want to work in a 1 second walking loop I have made.
    I tried to tweak the minSeg time to 0.1 but that makes it blink in predictable way.
    Is there a way to make him blink randomly within this 1 second loop?

    Are you really using an earlier OS than Mac OS 8.6?  That would be either 8.1, or 8.5 if I recall correctly.

  • Quick and easy way to learn to use Oracle Spatial?

    Could anyone recommend a quick and easy way to learn to use Oracle Spatial?

    Depends on your style.
    Reminds me of a story a contractor to an IT department I worked in once told me.
    He used to work in Silicon Valley in the '70s and told a story of a company that
    hired a particular programmer who was brilliant but unstable. They used to set
    up a room with a VT100 and a bottle of Tequila. The programmer would arrive
    and set to work. As the Tequila emptied it was replaced. At some point over
    the following days or weeks a scream would be heard from the room, followed
    by a crash as the VT100 went through the window and the programmer disappeared.
    They would replace the window, the VT100, the Tequila and wait till he came back
    from "walkabout".
    "Extreme Programming" '70s tyle!
    OH&S would never allow this nowadays! That, plus Prozac means these sorts
    of programmers are probably very rare!
    Cheers!
