EasyDMS - Private & Public folder creation - Error Message no. 1R579

Hi,
I want you to validate my approach for creating Public and Private folders in DMS.
Create a document type FLD,assign number range as "internal or external number assignment",set internal and external number range.
Now when i login in easyDMS and try to create a Public and Private folder i get a error as follows
An error occurred when calling module SCMS_DOC_CREATE_FILES
Message no. 1R579
Could anyone pls tell how to avoid this.

Hi Vipin,
based on your mentioned error message it seems that you try to checkin some files in this folder document info record. Because the mentioned SCMS function module is mainly used when files are attached to document info records and stored in a content server.
Generally from EasyDMS design point of view the folder documents should not contain files. These document info records are
the header and the original files should be stored in separate document info records which are added to this folder.
Regarding the 'Public' and 'Private' folders I would like to inform you that normally the 'Public Folder' is created by EasyDMS and the document number of it should be 'EDIPUBLICROOTFOLDER'. The 'Private Folder' is created when an user logs on to EasyDMS for the first time. Then the system checks if there is already a private folder for this user and if not, the user is asked to create one. The number of the private folder is the userID.

Public folder access error 0x8004011D when using mfcmapi

I seem to be getting this error when selecting the public folder in mfcmapi. I'm using the Feb 2014 release of mfcmapi.

I can access the private mailbox without issue using mfcmapi, but the public folders I'm not able to. This problem is causing my backup software not to do document level backups. So I need to resolve this issue.
Also, if I create another user and give them the same access as administrator, the new user cannot access both the private mailbox nor the public mailbox when using mfcmapi so it must be a rights issue, but I can't find where it is!
Any idea's would be appreciated.

You music etc should not be affected by problems with the iTunes program, nevertheless it is always a good idea to backup your data.
You haven't said if there was any error message when you tried to start iTunes. If there was one please give it in full.
Also check to see if QuickTime works, iTunes can not work without it. If QuickTime doesn't work, it has to be fixed before worrying about iTunes.
Then restart your PC and open your Task manger and select the Processes tab.
Try to start iTunes, does iTunes.exe appear on the processes tab? If so does it disappear again or remain although the programs does not open?

You can create new folders and documents in one of the following ways:
Create folders and/or documents in Microsoft Windows Explorer
In the context menu with Create Folder and Create Document
In the toolbar with (New Document) and (New Folder)
In a workstation application such as Microsoft Word You create a new file and save it to a private or public folder in SAP Easy Document Management with Save As. The file is saved in the selected folder as a new document, or as an existing or new original application file for an existing document.
When you create the document or folder, the system requests document data such as a description and a document type. You can add a link to a local file. When you confirm the entries, the system copies the file to the selected folder and automatically checks it in to the central storage area.
Note:To be able to do this you have to implement the Z_EASYDMS_GETDOCTYPES function module.
When creating new documents or folders, you can define default document data. To be able to do this you have to
implement the Z_EASYDMS_GETDOCDEFAULTS function module.

I fill in all the fields and slect category.
But the error message:
No category specified !
occurred.
any action I miss ?

What version of the portal and cm are you on? Also, what is your OS and J2EE version?

On my LaCie hard drive when i try to mount the private public folder i get this error "std::exception

I just bought a LaCie external hard drive as recommended by Apple.
The hard drive is the 1 TB shock proof with the thunderbolt cable.
Every thing to do with it is excellent except for the fact when i try to mount the private file it comes up with this error;
I am running the latest version of maverick 10.9 on a Macbook pro 2013.
If any one could help with this problem i would greatly appreciate it.

If you open Firefox then Firefox will always use the default profile folder as found via profiles.ini on your system drive.
You either need to import the file in your current default profile or copy the file to your current profile folder while Firefox is closed.
Firefox 3 stores the bookmarks and the browser history in [http://kb.mozillazine.org/places.sqlite places.sqlite] and no longer creates an HTML backup by default.
There are also (five) JSON backups in the bookmarkbackups folder within the Firefox profile folder.
You can either copy the file places.sqlite to your [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Firefox Profile Folder] or import the most recent JSON backup from the bookmarkbackups folder of that old profile.

Proxy object creation error - Message no. SPRX137

We were trying to create a proxy object and we come to the screen where you enter the wsdl URL. But the results we get is:

We are unable to create this. Anyone have any ideas?

Model Folder Creation error

I installed ODI from following link ( Demo Version )

When I tried to create the model folder. The ODI shows a error "java.lang.StackOverflowError".
I tried the with latest JDK1.6 also still the same error.

Cannot copy or move folders to Public Folder

Both admins and users are unable to copy or move folders with and without content to the public folders. When trying to copy or move a folder to the root or existing subfolders in the public folders i get this error message:
I can however create folders manually, and then copy and move content as i please.
Admins are owners from top of root, users are Publishing Authors.
I though it could be quota issues, and have set a high default quota with powershell. Upon checking in powershell, the quotas are set, but in EAC the new default limits are not showing (alhtough not nearly showing full) and do not get updated either.
Currently running Exchange 2013 CU6 on a 2012 R2 server.

Based on your description, some admins and users can't copy or move public folders.
Please check the permissions assigned to these affected users and compare with your permissions on public folders.
If possible, please add the Owner permissions directly to a specific public folder to check if they can copy or move public folders.
And please check if this issue affects all public folders or onle some of them.

Public Folder Migration issues

Hello,
I am at the last stages of migrating from exchange 2007 SP3 to 2010 SP3. Both versions have a CAS, HT, and MBX server. I've moved all the databases across and also replicated the public folder contents using:
AddReplicaToPFRecursive.ps1 -Server 2007MBX -TopPublicFolder "\"
-ServerToAdd 2010MBX
After resolving all the public folder item errors that popped up, I decided to move the public folders
across. I ran the \moveallreplicas.ps1 script.
On the Exchange 2007 MBX server, I got some EXCDO errors :
Event ID 8237: Calendaring agent failed with error 0x80040219 while attempting to open the
status message. If the user is a delegate, the access rights to the mailbox might not be set up correctly. Otherwise, the calendar for this mailbox could be corrupted. This could be fixed by moving the mailbox to another Exchange server, or exporting
the calendar to a Personal Folder File (.PST), and re-importing this into a new calendar.
Followed by
Event ID 8207: Calendaring agent failed with
error code 0x80040219 while deleting appointment.
and then event ID 8200: Calendaring agent failed in message delete notification with error 0x80040219 on : /Example folder/Staff/Room1/tom jones-280257926.EML.
There were a few instances of these but the script ran succesfully. After the script ran, I checked the replication settings on the public folders and system public folders and on both servers every folder was set to replicate to only the new Exchange 2010
MBX.
On the Exchange 2007 MBX, if I run : getpublicfolderstatistics -server ex2007mbx I get :

If I run getpublicfolderstatistics -server ex2010mbx I get :
The operation cannot be executed because there is no available public folder da

I have checked the permissions on the exchangev1 folder which is in system public folders>schema+root>Microsoft.
I have dismounted the public folder database on the EX2007MBX and I can access public folders ok. There are no errors and in the folders I have tried, I can add/ delete items.
Would anyone please be able to advise on the following:
1) What do I do about the EXCDO errors? They have not recurred since I ran the script and did not occur before I ran the script. What are the implications of the errors?
2)Running getpublicfolderstatistics -server ex2010mbx on the Exchange 2007 MBX gives me:
The operation cannot be executed because there is no available public folder da
tabase on the server 'EX2010'.
However, the public folders do seem to appear on the EX2010MBX. Is this because EX2007 cannot see the 2010 database?
3)How do I move the last folder on EX2007MBX: Exchangev1?

From your description, I would like to clarify the following thing:
Lower version (Exchange 2007) cannot get the database information of higher version (Exchange 2010), it is the expected behavior. Your understanding will be appreciated.

Error Messages in a WebCenter Spaces Components

Dears,
we deployed a custom component for check the quota for the folder before add any new item (we deployed it on UCM 11g),
the component is working properly from UCM side, so when override the quota for the folder the error message "you can't add the file because...." appeared.
but when we test the same process from WebCenter Spaces side by using the document manager component for the same folder to add new files the error message "Untitled error" appeared when override the quota, so how i can fetch the same message from UCM to view it in WebCenter Spaces when we override the quota.
please help me if anyone know how we can solve this problem, or if anyone know how we can customize the error messages that appear from component.

I can help with this one - the component is mine. It was discussed in this thread: Re: "documents folder" on UCM size limit feature
The error is raised via an exception:
throw new ServiceException(msg);
(where msg contains the text of the exception, something like: Folder UCM 11g Manuals Quota Violation Used:72.0MB Max:72.0MB File: 15.0KB)
In UCM the check is bound to a check-in filter, which prevents check-in should the quota be exceeded.
My guess is that either Document Management task flow, or WebCenter Framework has its own exception-handling mechanism, which replaces the text from the UCM component.

Error message: libsmime3.dylib is in use and will not allow update

I tried to download the new firefox 5.0, for Mac OS10
when I put it into the application folder the error message showed up:

I have restarted the computer several times and still the same

Looks like a common cause of the error is programs like Evernote, Dropbox or Cisco's AnyConnect VPN Client. Try disabling those (the blog post has instructions) if a simple delete/replace doesn't help.

Exchange 2013 delivery reports for mail enabled public folder

How can I get delivery reports for mail enabled public folders? Would I search the related public folder mailbox?

Hi,
When you track messages using Delivery Reports, you can only choose user mailbox when you select mailbox to search. Under the option "Mailbox to search", there is no mail-enabled public folder listed there for you to select from
the address book.
But you can search messages sent to or received from mail-enabled public folder.
