EasyLink Advisor cannot detect WRT300N on wired computer

Upgraded my router to WRT300N with a WRT150N running as an access point.  Laptops are now running just fine both base and access point.  Wired computer has Internet, Network drive access, and can access the router setup (192.168.1.1).
Trying to load the EasyLink Advisor.  It cannot detect the router.  The setup is cable modem to switch, cat5  to ethernet card to computer.  Even tried bringing the modem to the computer and direct connecting. Still no luck.
The EasyLink Advisor is verison 1.6.0032
The WRT300N router is version 1.1 with firmware 1.51.2
 Please help.

Settings button.
Go to status tab....look for Internet Ip address

  • WRT54GS - no internet connection detected yet my wired computer connects to internet through router

I have had my router for a little over a year. I am connected to a wild blue satellite modem. It has worked with no problem for a year.  Now, it claims to not detect an internet connection, although the computer wired to the router has no problem connecting to the internet. I just cannot connect wireless to the internet because the router thinks it has no internet connection. I have reset several times, powered on and off modem, followed all instructions for troubleshooting. All lights are lit on both the modem and the router. Do I need to replace the router, or would I encounter the same issues with a new one?

My other computer is connecting now, although EasyLink still shows no internet connection.  However, as long as I can get a connection, I do not care. I have no idea why it is working now and not before.  I do not know if my husband's laptop will connect yet, but something seems to be working.

I had elements 10 on a laptop and want to install on my desktop. I downloaded the program and get a message that it cannot be installed, possibly due to missing files. It says to download Adobe Support Advisor to detect the problem. When I do, I get a message that Adobe Support Advisor is discontinued.

you need the matching exe file, too.  both should be placed in the same directory and then click the exe.

  • Wired computer on WET200 cannot talk to wireless computer on WRV210

    I have a computer (static IP: 192.168.1.12) wired to a WET200 bridge (firmware: 1.0.13).
    The WET200 (192.168.1.99) is connected wirelessly to a WRV210 router (firmware: 1.1.16).
The router is the internet gateway (192.168.1.2).
A computer connected wirelessly (DHCP) to the router cannot see any computer connected to the WET200 bridge or the bridge itself.
The wired computer on the bridge can ping the wireless DCHP computer, but that computer cannot ping the other.
All computers can connect to the internet.
    Why?

    Never mind.

  • EPSON NX415:  Computer cannot detect scanner at all

I just upgraded to snow leopard and bought this new printer, an Epson NX415 All-in-One printer. The printing and copying works fine, but I cannot use the scanner at all. When I finished installing the scanner driver, I immediately got this pop-up message:
"Unable to create a work folder on the current disk, therefore the work folder will be returned to the default location."
I opened up photoshop and the scanner's name was listed under the import from devices tab. However, when I clicked it the same popup window appeared again. But for some reason, Preview and Image Capture cannot detect the scanner. I then opened up Print/Fax in system prefs and saw the Epson NX415 printer listed in the printer queue. However, there was no scanner tab. Its almost like the computer doesnt know that the scanner exists.
I tried uninstalling, reinstalling, and upgrading all the drivers per apple and epson's instructions but to no avail. After every reinstall of the scanner driver, i get the same pop-up message i quoted above.
HALP! The printer/copier functions work beautifully. I just cannot figure out why I cant even scan.

My problem has been solved by the solution on this thread:
    http://discussions.apple.com/message.jspa?messageID=10105981#10105981
I went to Print/Fax, Selected my printer, Printer Setup, Driver, and selected "Epson NX400" from the dropdown list. For some reason, that one unlocked the scanner. When I went to add new printers in the printer queue, i saw the Scanner icon at last

  • Computer cannot detect the camera.

I have had a Powershot A590, and could connect it to my HP, but now when I try to download images the computer says it cannot detect my camera.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hi Katyboy,
Is your notebook connected to AC power?  If not, please do connect it.  This will ensure it is adequately powered so it can properly work with the camera.
Do you have any other devices connected to your notebook?  We only recommend, at least as a test this time, connecting the camera to the notebook.  Other devices, such as printers, scanners and external drives may interfere with proper communication.
Does your notebook make a sound when the camera is connected and powered on in playback?  It should make a sound, indicating that it at least detects the camera.  If it does not, try connecting it to another USB port.
What program are you using to attempt to download the images from the camera?
If this is a time sensitive-matter, additional support options are available at Contact Us.

After a firmware upgrade, you must reset the router to factory defaults, then setup the router again from scratch. If you saved a router configuration file, DO NOT use it. If you have not done this since the last firmware upgrade, please do this now.
If you need more help, you will need to tell us more details of your problems.
Please state the model and version of your router.
Please state the make and exact model number of your modem.
    Please state your ISP.
Also, describe exactly what is happening on your network when your system disconnects. Are all computers disconnected from the Intenet? Or only the wireless computers? What is running on the computers when your system crashes? a game? P2P software? other?
Also, please connect your computer directly to your modem. Verify that you can get a working Internet connection, then do the following:
Go to "Start" > All Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt.
A black DOS box will appear. Type in "ipconfig /all" (with no quotes), then hit the Enter key. Post your results.

  • HELP!!! - Internet up, but EasyLink Advisor can not find network

    All,
This is my first experience using a wireless router and although I sent everything up according to directions and the network has worked for at least 3 weeks now (both my computer and PS3 seem to work without issue), all of a sudden when I click on the 'EasyLink Advisor' it will not display my network at all (as if I never went through the steps to set the router up in the first place).
I have the WRT54G model and am running Windows XP, Service Pack 2. Again, when I click on the Easylink Advisor icon, the window comes up but everything is greyed out (My Network, Actions, and Support). The first window I get is the 'Network Setup Wizard' to guide me through the steps to setup my router (which is already set up and working).
If anyone has any idea on what I can do in order for the information on my network to reappear it would be greatly appreciated. I'd really rather not have to go through the entire setup process again and chance messing things up on both computer and PS3 if possible (and I really don't want to have to uninstall and reinstall again).
Thank you all in advance for your help - I really appreciate it!

I just installed a new WRT5G after 4-5 years of excellent service from my old one (the old one fritzed out-couldn't even reset factory settings).  I like the idea of Easy Advisor, especially the way it detected the the machines connected to my network and listed all my router settings in one place.  However, I believe that it interferes with the proper operation of the router and/or internet connection and I do not allow it to start automatically anymore.
I experienced two or three occasions where I activated ELA from the System Tray and my internet connection got blown out of the water altogether.  The more damning evidence comes from an online program that I run from a remote computer that since the new router had become severely laggy to an extent I had never seen with the old router. The program monitors network status to several different servers, and during this laggy event it rated the connections with each service as Fair or Poor.  Having suspected issues with ELA, I ended the program, and my network status immediately went to Very Good (the best rating possible) / 100%.
What convinced me that this was no coincidence is that the next day I had extremely poor performance again, and I went down to the computer connected to the router and found that ELA had restarted when my daughter had logged on.  As soon as I ended the program again, my online program returned to 100% connectivity.
I had to log on to each of my users accounts and run msconfig in order to uncheck ELA from starting up automatically even though I had disabled it from the Computer Administrator account.  That was quite a pain and I would have had no qualms about uninstalling it altogether if I'd had any further trouble with it.
Like I said, ELA is great in concept, but the fact that the program has trouble finding the router when everything is connected and configured properly is pretty troublesome.  Bottom line, though, is that you don't need ELA to configure your router.  It's not that hard to do and you can get plenty of guidance from the internet and I would imagine this board.  It's the same way you had to do it before ELA anyway.

  • Wireless-G Model WRT54GS V7 Firmware 7.50.0 - easylink Advisor 1.5.1044

    I have a Wireless-G Model WRT54GS V7.50.0 Firmware for easylink Advisor 1.5.1044
Connected to a highspeed connection, and then connected (Hardwired in port 1 of router) to a Dell system running XP SP3.
I bought a new Laptop that is running Windows 7 and the laptop causes the connections to drop when it is powered on.
Then the laptop is always dropping the connection and re-establishing the connection. Is this problem because of windows 7?
If I do not bring the laptop up, i can run the desktop with no problem. Running WPA security mode.
Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.
    John

Is your Desktop computer is a Wired or Wireless? Are you facing the problem only on your Windows 7 Computer or on all the wireless computers?
You can try to change the Wireless Settings on your Router and check if that makes any difference...
Login to the setup page of your Router and click on the Wireless tab.... and below change the Wireless Channel to 11-2.462GHz and click on Save settings.... Then click on the Sub tab "Advance Wireless Settings" and below Change the Beacon Interval to 50 .....Change the Fragmentation Threshold to 2304 Change the RTS Threshold to 2307 ....Click on "Save Settings"...
Now see if you can locate your Wireless Network and attempt to connect...

  • EasyLink Advisor forgets settings?

My WRT54G wireless router is working fine, but I'm trying to access the settings to change it from WPA to whatever security settings work with my Nintendo DS. But Easy Links Advisor just drops me at the initial setup screen, like I'd never set anything up. Is there a way to get it to remember the settings? If I run the setup again, will I be able to change the router's settings to the new ones I want? When I first set it up, I frequently had to reboot the router, and got a fair amount of strange error messages, but after a week those problems stopped - probably about the time EasyLink forgot the settings. I definitely don't want to bring those problems back in the process of trying to change this stuff.

Change any securtiy/password settings within the router set up page,........your wired computer connected directly to your router, then type web address 192.168.1.1 ,.........within there change your security stuff.  Easy link advisor will see the new settings and make sure that your network settings are all operational and working.  I just suggest you don't use easy link advisor to change any settings on your router.  Do it directly with your wired PC and your router.
    Peace

  • Issue concerning the EasyLink Advisor for the Wrt54gs v6.0

On Monday of this last week, my ISP was changed from DirectTV/Qwest, to Cox Cable. When I returned home, our connection setup had been changed. We had setup a modem and the router in a different room, with the network being unsecure, and not supported by a computer system. Now, we have the router connected to the PC, and the modem in the room as well.
Now, the Circo System light is orange, as opposed to the usual white, and my wireless adapter gets kicked off of the network I had to recreate, which is unsecure, every 12 hours. I think this may be because the CPU with the wireless router does not have the EasyLink Advisor installed on it, and the disc is nowhere in sight.
My question is, do I need the advisor, and if so, where can I get it, without the disc? I've looked around the forum, and I can't find a clue. The system with the wireless router is a Windows XP, and the system with the adapter is a Windows Vista. And if that happens to not be the case, what should I try to do? Any help is appreciated, thank you.

No need to use the easylink advisor what you could do is try upgrading the firmware of the router & keep on holding tightly the reset button in such a way that power light is blinking on the router & then do a complete network power cycle i.e., unplug the power cables from the modem & from the router & then plug in the power cable
to the modem first once all the lights are solid green you could plug in the power cable to the router & check out it will definatelyConfiguration for cable connection:-
Access the setup page of the router by launching an Browser and type on the address bar, 192.168.1.1 and press enter. When it prompts for the username and password, leave the username field empty and provide password as admin" (Without quotes) click on ok.
On the main setup page the ""Internet Connection Type"" should be on ""Obtain IP Automatically - DHCP “. Click on the Save Settings button.
Now click on the sub tab ""MAC address clone"".
    - Click on enable
Click Clone & click save settings
Check WAN Ip on Status page of router ....
If getting Valid Ip .... try going online
If not ... power cycle for 4-5 minutes & then agian check the WAN Ip address .....
Step 03 : To configure the router for Wireless.
For Wireless Settings, please do the following : -
    Click on the Wireless tab
    - Here Wireless Network mode should be mixed
    - Provide any name in the Wireless Network Name (SSID) box, all in
lower cases without any spaces in between.
    - Set wireless channel to 11
    - And wireless SSID broadcast should be Enabled and then click on save
    settings.
Please make a note of Wireless Network Name (SSID) as this is the
    Network Identifier.
    For Wireless Security : -
Now Click on the Sub tab under Wireless > Wireless Security.
Change the Wireless security mode to WEP
    Encryption should be 64 bits.
Leave the Pass phrase blank, don't type in anything.
