Ebay.co.uk homepage problem?

I am trying to access www.ebay.co.uk using Safari 8.0.5 and just get a blank page. Some text briefly pops up at the top of the screen and then disappears and I am left with a completely blank screen. This site works perfectly with Firefox and Chrome.
This is on an iMac running Yosemite 10.10.3 I've tried clearing the cache and cookies etc, but still no go.
Can someone trying accessing www.ebay.co.uk and see if it works for them?

My iphoto freezes when trying to use the standard eBay photo upload, the problem started after a recent iOS 7 update. The album photos don't appear until I try and close the upload and immediately freezes. Attempts to close iphoto fail.

A week or so ago I reacted to an Apple update message. The update completed and this left me with a couple of problems. When the imac started up there was a Glims message on screen telling me that the computer had not closed entirely and asking if I wanted to allow glims to reopen previously open files. I ticked yes and Safari froze immediately. This would happen even after a restart, Safari would start up with the Glims message on my Yahoo mail account. Then whether I clicked on the Glims message or not one of various adverts would appear and Safari would immediately freeze. I managed to override this by quickly entering Safari extensions and subscribing to an advertisement blocking programme. Safari now worked without problems but the blocking programme created other problems mostly with iphoto. The eBay uploaded photos were minute. So I decided to remove the Safari blocking extension and all seemed fine for everything except iphoto which now freezes every time I try to upload eBay photo's using the eBay standard upload problem. Yesterday I changed to the other BASIC upload option and that did work. Thought it might be a one of glitch on the Standard but obviously not. Anyone's help would be appreciated. I note that at least one other member is experiencing the same or similar problem today.

Sorry I am 70 and not very computer literate. Please explain in simpler terms. Perhaps I should have said Apple update for my iMac. It did however include an iphoto update. My imac is 3 years old, I also have an ipad 2 and iPhone and both received iOS 7 updates around the same time.

IPhone Homepage problem.

After downloading songs and syncing my iPhone, I was unable to access the iPhone homepage.
For some reason, after a call, it stayed on the "Slide to Answer" page.
Please help me with the problem.

Try to reset the iPhone. Press and hold both the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

Pop ups and Homepage problems

Hi all, i have a couple of problems which I could do with assistance on, i think they may be linked?!
Firstly is my Safari homepage, even though I am setting home page to Google, it works for a few times then just starts opening with this 'Quick Search' window, I have no idea what this is and habit installed or had anything to with it!?
Secondly, I am having problems with pop up windows, overtime I open a new tab, these open as full windows such as Mac Keeper and Earn Thousands websites!!
I have 'block pop ups' checked in preferences too.
I am currently running a free AVG anti virus check which is at 52%, it say 3 threats found !!
Any help greatly appreciated.

Another homepage problem

Ok, I hate to continue this topic, but after review of the previous threads, I haven't figured out a solution. I still can't access the homepage

are you using http://127.0.0.1:8080/apex or http://AC688420.dupontnet.net:8080/apex?

N97 homepage problems after software update

Hi Everyone,
After updaing my N97 to software version 21.0.045, which was a nightmare as the phone memory ran out, I have lost several applications from the home screen.
The email summary widget, music widget and date/time part, and they're not available in the list of available content if I try to add them.
Any ideas anyone?

Homepage problems

I've created the homepage I want and have followed all the instructions to save this as the homepage I want. However after I've left the browser and click again on the Firefox icon, it always comes up to a page where I have to sign on to get to the homepage I've previously created.

Websites remembering you and automatically log you on is stored in a cookie.
* Create an allow cookie exception (Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: Exceptions) to keep such a cookie, especially for secure websites and if cookies expire when Firefox is closed.
Make sure that you do not run Firefox in Private Browsing mode.

Do not use Clear Recent History to clear the "Cookies" and the "Site Preferences"

Clearing "Site Preferences" clears all exceptions for cookies, images, pop-up windows, software installation, and passwords.

Homepage Problem

Please help unable to get beyond Home Page
The HomePage loads ok using http://127.0.0.1:8080/apex
and I beleive signon succeeds but the next page fails to load.
Steps I have taken,
Logon with good credentials same page returns clears username & password
Logon with bad credentials error message "Invalid Login Credentials"
I can logon to db using sqlplus.
I tried using the HR user that I unlocked in sqlplus. Intresting that when used HR user on the Homepage logon prompts to change the password, change the password, attempt logon using hr page returns clears username & password
I believe the logon is working but the next (admin) page is not any clues
I continue to review the documentation and forums but nothing yet

I don't run Windows, so I can't advise on your firewall. Most firewalls allow you to open specific ports, by port number.
You need to use the documentation (or internet search) to tell you how to open port 8080 for the database home page.
The other port, 1521 for the database listener, is useless to open by itself. That is simply the initial connection for regular connections such as SQL*Plus, SQL Developer or Toad. After the initial connection, Oracle tends to use a random 'processing' port and that can not easily be controlled.

Safari Problem with Ebay?

So i've just tried to buy a couple of things Buy It Now on Ebay, but got a problem message saying the latest version of Safari isn't compatable.
Is there way of solving this? As i'm not a Firefox fan!

Try verifying the hard disk.

PSE/8 on eBay?

I replaced my Dell laptop with a MacBook Pro and will eventually replace my PC with an iMac. I deactivated the Windows version of PSE/8 I had on the Dell and am keeping the Windows version active on my PC. In the mean time, I want to purchase a copy of PSE/8 for use on the Mac and still use the Windows version on my PC while I save for the iMac.
I see a lot of Mac versions of PSE/8 on eBay, but they include only the DVD and not the original packaging. The enlarged image of the DVD says "FOR BUNDLES ONLY" and "Not to be sold separately"; however the text of the auctions states that these are the full commercial version and can be licensed for two computers.
Are these legitimate copies that have been removed from bundled packages? Has anyone on this forum purchased this from an eBay vendor and had problems registering the product?

Not sure about the Mac versions, but I just received PSE 7 from one of these eBay vendors. It installed fine on my Windows 7 Home Premium edition (32-bit) laptop, with no error messages, and allowed me to register it easily! There had been some discussion on dpReview board about PSE 7 on W7 compatability, but the problems seemed to revolve around the 64-bit versions.
When in doubt, you can check for more threads on dpreview.com.

Chosen homepage won't open on start but will if you click house icon...

I had to reinstall Leopard last night and move a bunch of files around because my iMac was hanging when I tried to reboot it in the middle of a force quit.
So far everything is not bad, but even though I reloaded Safari because of the homepage problem, it still won't open.
I've gone to preferences and selected a homepage but all that displays when Safari opens is a blank page. I've tried to choose 2 other of sites to use as homepages but they go blank, too, so it's not just my MSN page that won't open. But when I click on the "house" whatever I have programmed as the homepage opens fine.

Did you ever get this issue resolved? I am having the same problem. I like MSN as my homepage & it just comes up blank when opening up safari. I change the homepage to something else & it worked.

Problems with my MuVo V100

Heyho, i bought a Creative V00 on ebay and have some problems with it. I hope you can help me solving them.
. I also own a Creatvie Zen Micro Photo and tried to transfer songs from this player to the V00 via Creative Media Source but it doesnt work.
2. The Display shows everything unstraigt, right deeper than left.
So please let me her you suggestions how to solve that problem.

Re: Problems with my MuVo V00? You can organize the MuVo with Windows Explorer (press the Windows key and the E at the same time), navigate to your MuVo (it will probably be Dri've E or F, depending on your computer) and then drag & drop music from your Music Library to various folders in your MuVo.
You can create new folders in the MuVo (right click-> create New Folder and then re-name them as you like) and then organize your music by Artist, Album, Genre or whatever your preference is.
If you want to transfer tracks from your Zen MicroPhoto to the MuVo, it's probably best to back up your tracks from the ZMP to your Music Library and then connect the MuVo and transfer the tracks you want from your Music Library to the MuVo. I've never tried to do it from one .mp3 player to another.
