Ebay photo up-loader

The eBay photo up-loader (both of them) has stopped working in FireFox. I click on the links and nothing happens. The up-loader does work in IE.

The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information.
Note: ''This will cause you to lose any Extensions, Open websites, and some Preferences.''
To Reset Firefox do the following:
#Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
#Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
#Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
#Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.

My iphoto freezes when trying to use the standard eBay photo upload, the problem started after a recent iOS 7 update. The album photos don't appear until I try and close the upload and immediately freezes. Attempts to close iphoto fail.

A week or so ago I reacted to an Apple update message. The update completed and this left me with a couple of problems. When the imac started up there was a Glims message on screen telling me that the computer had not closed entirely and asking if I wanted to allow glims to reopen previously open files. I ticked yes and Safari froze immediately. This would happen even after a restart, Safari would start up with the Glims message on my Yahoo mail account. Then whether I clicked on the Glims message or not one of various adverts would appear and Safari would immediately freeze. I managed to override this by quickly entering Safari extensions and subscribing to an advertisement blocking programme. Safari now worked without problems but the blocking programme created other problems mostly with iphoto. The eBay uploaded photos were minute. So I decided to remove the Safari blocking extension and all seemed fine for everything except iphoto which now freezes every time I try to upload eBay photo's using the eBay standard upload problem. Yesterday I changed to the other BASIC upload option and that did work. Thought it might be a one of glitch on the Standard but obviously not. Anyone's help would be appreciated. I note that at least one other member is experiencing the same or similar problem today.

Sorry I am 70 and not very computer literate. Please explain in simpler terms. Perhaps I should have said Apple update for my iMac. It did however include an iphoto update. My imac is 3 years old, I also have an ipad 2 and iPhone and both received iOS 7 updates around the same time.

Thanks for your help. The out of numerical order comes before the actual import begins. It happens when first uploaded to Lightroom and prior selection of of photos to imported to the catalog.

Open your iPhoto Library, go to that particular album and verify that you can view the full sized version of each image by double clicking on them. Report back with the results.

You need to add the new photos to the ones that are currently on the iPad and (re-)sync them all - only the most recent photo sync remains on the iPad, not including photos in a subsequent sync is how you delete them from the iPad (as you've found out).
You can use third-party apps such as Simple Transfer which can copy photos to the Photos app via your wifi network, but they will only go into the Saved Photos/Camera Roll album, and not into a 'proper' album.

If it's not too late, see Recovering your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device. As long as you have a backup of the device when the device still held your photos you should stand a chance of recovering them using a tool such as iPhone Backup Extractor.

Does Photos App load all images I store on my iMac for backup?

I want the app iPhoto, but is it loading the same collection of photos
again as the Photos App? It looks like the Photo App loads ALL photos
in my library, and iPhoto app loads what I sync in iTunes.
Or do I have that wrong? What images are stored on my iPad Air w the
Photos App, and what are stored by iTunes synced iPhoto?
I don't want double image files taking up too much space.

iPhoto will show you all photos that are already on your iPad's Photos.app and Camera Roll. It will not import them a second time, just group and show them in a different way:

All of the photos and video clips in the Photos app on your device automatically appear in iPhoto. You can also import photos into iPhoto from other devices and computers, other apps on the same device, or a digital camera (if you're using iPad).

It should be: Click on Home Folder (the House) and to the right Library is shown, click on the arrow on the Library folder to reveal its contents and then click on Cookies to reveal its contents and then move the Cookies.plist to the Trash as Carolyn suggests.
Then try eBay again.

How to transfer photos from PC to ipad without erasing photos already loaded. The only option I find in itunes is to synch, which only transfers into one album on the ipad. I'm sure I'm just missing an easy step. Transferring photos from PC to android is a snap, can't be this hard with ipad.

Another way. You can use a USB flash drive & the camera connection kit.
Plug the USB flash drive into your computer & create a new folder titled DCIM. Then put your movie/photo files into the folder. The files must have a filename with exactly 8 characters long (no spaces) plus the file extension (i.e., my-movie.mov; DSCN0164.jpg).
Now plug the flash drive into the iPad using the camera connection kit. Open the Photos app, the movie/photo files should appear & you can import. (You can not export using the camera connection kit.)

Help! Ebay won't load on safari

Hi there
In the last few days suddenly when i go to ebay.co.uk the page will not load. I get the header "www.ebay.co.uk.gif 1x1 pixels" at the top of safari and the page is blank. Safari says the page has loaded.
I have also noticed that on my internet banking, in the last couple of days, the top line of graphics and menu do not load. This is getting really annoying.
I have cleared my cache but it is still not working.
Can anyone help?

Hi, drunkensailor. Welcome to the discussions.
The url http://www.ebay.co.uk loads fine for me in Safari. It also loads nominally in OmniWeb, my default browser and browser of choice.
Since this problem has arisen in the last few days, it may indicate a problem caused by some change you made to your Mac just before the problem arose.
For example, if you installed any new Internet plug-ins, software that adds Internet plug-ins, or software that "enhances" Safari's features. If so, uninstall them.
I suggest you search or post-to the to the Safari Discussion. I don't mean to send you somewhere else, but that's where Safari-related questions are answered.

Are you still using Snow Leopard 10.6.8? If so then select the iPhoto icon in your Dock and hold down the mouse, click Options and make sure Open at Login is NOT checked.

I just asked for help with the problem that ebay is my home page and firefox 7 will not load ebay, but will load all other sites. Then it sends me on this loop back to this same page with no help. I'm not all that computer literate, and I need help!!!

The problem is simply this...www.ebay.com/ is my homepage. But, Firefox 7 can't load ebay, for some reason on my computer. I have checked other computers, and ebay is working. My computer loads all other sites.

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

Photos not loading correctly, distorted colors, lines, etc.

So, my wife's Macbook is having a problem... it will not load pictures correctly in iPhoto or from the Finder. to give you an idea of what the pictures look like, see here:

Every time you remove the drive/ camera it will change how messed up it is, and sometimes the pictures come through fine... it's not the camera, as we have tried her old and new camera, and it loads fine on another computer, just not on hers.
She's got a macbook loaded with the latest version of the OS with all the updates... she is running an old (5.5 I think) version of iphoto, which could be a problem, but it's hard to say because they load wrong even if you do not open iphoto... the only way I can get the pictures to load correctly on her computer is by opening them from the image capture application... they open fine inside the program, but once you download the images to the computer, they look messed up again, like in the linked photo...
It definitely seems like a software related issue, maybe an incompatible codec associated with iphoto, or something else...
I've tried trashing the iphoto prefs, and I don't know how long ago this started and AFAIK, there hasn't been any software installed that should create a conflict...
Any ideas?

What won’t “load or work at all”? Quicktime Player?
I don't think that all of the imaging on the computer goes through quicktime somehow, that is a bit ridiculous and far fetched to think that...

XML Photo Gallery - Loader won't load :(

Hi,
I'm trying to make an XML Photo Gallery type thing. For each
'Product' it creates a new instance of a MovieClip from the
library, 'XmlItem' which contains a Loader Component and Dynamic
Text.
The Product Title goes into the Dynamic Text perfectly. The
problem is with the Loader Component. It simply REFUSES to load the
images. There's an exception. If I deliberately cause a syntax
error in the Loader Component's code, then the pictures load! What
the hell?
Oh, also I'm having trouble with the placement of the XmlItem
instances... For each of them, what position is _x relative to?

my_ldr must exist on all frames or, if you navigate to a frame where it doesn't exist, you must create another loader with the "new" constructor. in the later situation, you'll need to (re)define your button actions too because the new loader will need to before referenced in the button listener functions. even if you use the same name, my_ldr, you'll probably need to re-define your buttons.

Can't view photos to load in book

Am I missing something obvious here? this is my first time creating a book. After selecting a theme, I am only given the option of loading 1 picture into the book.I can't figure out how to view any pictures to load. I click on the blue 'view unplaced photos' icon in the upper section and nothing appears. If I click on any album in the source list on the left, it leaves the 'book' behind and views the contents of that album. Back in the book view, I can't drag albums onto the book or into the top window. Am I doing something wrong?

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. If you want to add photos to a book that's already in progress just select the photos themselves and drag onto the book's icon in the Source pane. Then they should show up in the photo tray at the top of the window.
