Hi All, Can anyone has any data regarding which module will take how much space in Oracle Apps. Like Oracle financial, Project, lease management etc etc

    We are planning to implement WEBMTHODS and METAMATRIX tool. These apps require Oracle database. We are planning 3 HP rp4410 servers running HP-UX 11i. One foe WEBMETHODS APP, ONE FOR METAMATRIX. BOTH APPS are using one ORACLE DB server.

    them. They asked me to contact Oracle. I am looking

  • Can I get more sizing information in scripted JPEG exports?

    Exporting to JPEG from script seems to give less size/resolution information than exporting from AI itself.
    This manifests itself when opening in Microsoft Word, when the 'from AI' JPEG appears correctly sized, whereas the 'from script' JPEG just fills whatever page size you've specified.
    Does the 'from AI' JPEG have more metadata compared to the 'from script' JPEG? This is what it looks like when I look at the files using Exiftool.
    Does 'from AI' have EXIF data, maybe as well as JFIF? Does 'from script' only have JFIF? And Word is only looking at the EXIF data?
    Can I get EXIF into the exports?

    not so sure about the scaling issue
    but I believe EXIF comes from your camera where as JFIF is the standard from most software.

  • BIA Sizing Information

    Hi,
    We are planning on buying BIA and here are the few questions asked by the Vendor for BIA Sizing - to get an estimate of how much memory and blades are required.
    I am not clear on the few questions, can any clarify this...
    *Initial Size (rows)*
    Does this mean Init of Delta ?  If its Init, then what should be included for the Cubes that have full loads
    If its Init, then for the previous year cubes e.g. 2003 - the data could have been compressed then how to get that record count.
    What if the Init was performed that was pulling quite a few years of data.
    *Size of Delta Uploads (Rows)*
    What if its a Full Load
    What if the data is loaded from various source systems (R3, Flat File etc) and some are Full and some are Delta.
    Do we need to provide the Delta Uploads even for the previous year cubes - in which NO delta will be done further.
    *How will Distinct values change (e.g. 4 times more than today ?)*
    What does this statement mean ?

    first of all, sizing based on "t-shirt sizes" is not valid any more. We have better methods available for a long time already.
    Memory Sizing
    To ensure good performance with the BI Accelerator, the data of the BIA index must fit to an InfoCube in the main memory of the BIA hardware. The sizing approach differs slightly based on the following scenarios:
    Scenario 1: BI System already exists and contains data to be indexed
    For scenario 1 the memory requirement is estimated based on the existing data in the BI system. Since the memory consumption of BIA indexes is by far smaller than the memory consumption of the InfoCube on the database, SAP provides a program that analyzes your InfoCubes and estimates the memory requirement for the corresponding BIA indexes.
    Note: You can already run the program in SAP BW Releases 3.0, 3.1 and 3.5. This means that you can carry out the sizing before you upgrade to SAP NetWeaver BI 7.0.
    Install program ZZ_BIAMEMCONSUMPTION_BW3X in your BI system (see SAP note <a href="http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/917803">917803</a>) and run it for the selected InfoCubes. The output of the program contains the estimated memory per InfoCube and the estimated memory for the corresponding master data.
    Scenario 2: BI System does not exist yet or no data has been loaded
    For scenario 2 the memory requirement can be estimated based on some data points about the InfoCube data model. Number of dimensions, number of key figures, and number of records are used to estimate the size of the corresponding BIA index.
    The number of SAPS for the BIA appliance can be estimated based on the type and number of users and certain assumptions about query complexity and usage frequency. This part of the sizing is done for the peak hour with the heaviest system usage.
    Estimate the number of dimensions, number of key figures and number of records per InfoCube. The estimated memory per InfoCube and master data is determined by a complex formula. There's a spreadsheet available that contains this complex calculation (see SAP note <a href="http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1010267">1010267</a>).
    CPU Sizing
    The requirement for number of SAPS is determined by the number and complexity of query requests that have to be processed by the BIA appliance during the peak hour. We assume that 195 SAPS are required for 100 query requests in an hour.
    The number of query request can be estimated using the following formula:
    Number of query requests = Number of Information Consumers * 1 + Number of Executive Users * 11 + Number of Power Users * 33
    SAPS = Number of query request / 100 * 195
    SAPS is a hardware independent unit to describe the CPU-related performance characteristic of a given hardware configuration. For more information on SAPS and their equivalent in hardware performance, see http://www.sap.com/benchmark  > SAPS.

  • Create daily report on FI-AA module's information

    Reporting period for FI-AA module is a month.
    We extract data from SAP ERP to SAP BW.
    According to the state legislation we are obliged to form daily reports on assetsu2019 balances in SAP BW. Is it possible to construct these daily reports?

    SAP total reports are based on ANLC and simulation.
    When you export the detail lines to BW you have the details by day. This is not recalculating the depreciation on daily basis!!
    There are standard conectors to get the details in BW

    I tried searching in Help and looking in View... I cannot find how to remove the file information from the upper left.  Do you know?

    Since you posted this to the Forms forum, I presume you're talking about Forms...
    You can read the Capacity Planning Guide in the Forms area on OTN for info on sizing.
    But as a general rule, because there are so many variables which affect scalability, you should do your own testing to be sure you size your hardware appropriately. No sizing calculator will give accurate result, merely ballpark figures.

  • Quicksizer_Server sizing

    Dear All,
    I have a problem using SAP tool quicksizer for server sizing. We want to do server sizing for FI module to be implemented. I just want clarification that when we have number of documents that are being transferred from FI to  CO-PA-FI, do we need to consider no of line items generated using T code KEU5 for Assessment and KE 28 for Top Down Allocation. Because in help it is being said that we should not consider them but I want clarification from a person who has done it practically.

    I do not see a difference in sizing for NW PI 7.3 and NW PI 7.1.  You may proceed with existing template on quicksizer and generate sizing information.

    JSP, Servlet, EJB) and deployed on Solaris 8 talking to Oracle

    Usage Pattern: High during evenings in US time zone

    Cluster: Yes

    Clustering Type: Recommended 2- tier ( with Web Server on a different

    What kind of SUN machine should I be buying?
    I mean, ES 220 or ES 450 ...or a higher end machines? What should be the
    swap space, RAM, no. of processors?

    First of all weblogic server has ONLY one Admin Sever per Domian which should be used for administrative work, hence we cannot have have a backup of Admin server.

    Yes, the best way is to use horizontal clustering as shown below where all the managed servers are in a cluster.

    HTTP Servers Architecture
    Assuming you would be using Apache HTTP server, hence using weblogic Apache plugin you would be able to communicate with weblogic servers. In hhtpd.conf file you have to load the module and in if-module block you would have to give all the information about the weblogic server which would then try to connect with weblogic servers as well as will load-balance between them.

    Indeed, that seems the end-all error of it all.

    So I assume I have an old version dotted around somewhere, but I'm not sure about how it's all loaded and such.
    Now, quoting something I'd come across a few times and taking it from thinkwiki:
    If you lose hardware acceleration after a driver update this can be caused by an old fglrx kernel module being loaded.
    Check out /var/log/Xorg.0.log for a message like:
        (WW) fglrx(0): Kernel Module version does *not* match driver.
        (EE) fglrx(0): incompatible kernel module detected - HW accelerated OpenGL will not work
    You can verify this yourself by looking at the version message some lines above. It should read something not matching the installed version like:
        (II) fglrx(0): Kernel Module Version Information:
        (II) fglrx(0): Name: fglrx
        (II) fglrx(0): Version: 8.10.19
    The cause for this trouble might be that there resist multiple versions of the fglrx module within the kernel module search path.
    Go to /lib/modules/<your linux kernel version>/ and type # grep fglrx modules.dep.
    If grep finds multiple lines you nailed down the problem. All you have to do now is to delete any versions of the module (look at the filedate) but the most current one. Then run # depmod and you are done.
    Hint:
    Newer versions (8.21.7) of the fglrx module seem to be installed in the extra/ subdirectory.
    Older versions (8.19.10) used to be located in the kernel/drivers/char/drm/ subdirectory.
    How does this apply to Arch?  I only found one instance of fglrx by using that method.
    Edit: Forgot to add that I've tried reinstalling a few times, it doesn't really seem to do anything.  Wondering if I should attempt to install an older version or something, but I don't get why the driver numbers don't match for me.  Surely others have updated their drivers too.

  • Daqmx separate multiple physical cahnnels apply equations and collect information

    Dear People!
    I am using a DAQCard 6023E with 16 channels. My purpose is to collect information from a gasifier to find temperature and pressures from 7 of the channels and 4 channels respectively. Forget about the pressure to make the problem more easy.
    The readings we get from the gasifier is in miliV amplified by an intensifier while also it adds an offset. When the readings come inside LabView I get all the 7 channels I pass them from DAQmx Create Channel then I add a Sample clock. I start the task with a DAQmx Start task and I put everything inside a loope where DAQmx Read starts to read all the physical channels. Now I need to reverse engineer the mV (which are amplified) by subtracting the offset and divide by the amplifications to each separate physical channels ( for each channel there is a different offset and amplification). When do this I pass them from a thermolinear module to convert it to V to Temp. And this information then passes to a "Write to measurement file" to have a file with all the inform. Then the while loop closes and we have the DAQmx Clear task and the error (very basic).
    If I had only one physical channel it will be very easy. I will have to use just a Subtract and Divide module to reverse engineer the mV before passing to the thermolinear module.
    The two questions I have is:
    1) How is it possible to separate the the physical channels inside the while loop before or after the DAQmx Read ( I don't really know what is best) to apply for each physical channel the appropriate offset (subtract) and amplifications (divide) and then reconnect them so when they go to the "Write to measurement file" to create one file with all the physical channels and not one file for each physical channels?
    2) The thermo linear module needs to have a cold junction voltage (for the 25 ambient temp). Does this voltage needs to be in V or in miliV as my input is in miliV? While also inside the Thermoliner module it informs me that it needs microvolt (1000miliV) do I need to change this for the module to work?
    The thermocouple I use is a K type with constant value for units (Celsius) IC sensor and Voltage reference. I hope I was not too long to explain you my problem and I hope somebody can help me in this.

    All day I was thinking this and this is exactly what I did with the difference that I used at the end a "build array" module to reconnect all the separate channels.
    1a) Do you think is better to use the "replace array element" module than the "build array" module?
    Also I have problems with the thermolinear module. Is the appropriate module to use to make miliV to Temp. If you look inside the module it says that it needs the voltage to be in microVolt (1000 miliVolt).
    1b) Do I need to change my miliVolts to Volts and then put it inside the thermolinear module? Or do I need to change my miliVolts to microVolts and then to the module?Or I can just let them be miliVolts and LabView will do all the work for me using the thermolinear module
    2b) Does the Cold Junction Voltage needs to be in miliVolts, microVolts or Volts?
    I still can not make the whole system to work but I know I am in the right path

    I'm coding in CVI 8.1 and using the 2010 RTE for Linux.  In Linux, EVENT_PANEL_SIZE fires multiple times instead of EVENT_PANEL_SIZING (as it is in Windows).  The problem is that the EVENT_PANEL_SIZE event doesn't provide any callback data in either eventData1 or eventData2.  Therein liles my problem, I need to know what side/corner of the window is being dragged to fire the EVENT_PANEL_SIZE events in Linux.  I'm going to go out on a limb and bet that the functionality for this hasn't improved since the 2010 Linux RTE release.  Hopefully someone can correct me if I'm wrong (we're in the middle of upgrading to latest CVI) or steer me in the right direction to acquire what side/corner the resize drag occurs on. 
    I'm really hoping I don't need to fall back to X to get the drag side info.

    Thanks for the reply.  But I was already aware of the sizing functionality as I have programmed it for Windows.  What I wanted to know was how to retrieve the panel side that was being resized in Linux - as in PANEL_SIZING_TOPLEFT, PANEL_SIZING_TOP, PANEL_SIZING_BOTTOM, PANEL_SIZING_BOTTOM_RIGHT, etc.  The "PANEL_SIZING_---" flags are only available from an EVENT_PANEL_SIZING - NOT an EVENT_PANEL_SIZE (which arrives in Linux in lieu of EVENT_PANEL_SIZING) - that is the problem!
    I have done it, but it isn't the most streamlined thing in my opinion.  To determine the panel side being dragged I maintain the panel's Rect state (the entire window including window manager decorations and titlebar): top, left, width and height.  Without going into detail about how to get the sizing information the following is done:
    Every time EVENT_GOT_FOCUS ocurrs the Rect state is updated
    When an EVENT_PANEL_SIZE ocurrs in Linux I can determine the side being dragged by comparing the prior Rect state to the current state:
    If previous top and previous left are same as current top and current left:
    If previous width and previous height are different than current width and current height then we know the bottom right corner is being dragged so I can issue my own PANEL_SIZING_BOTTOMRIGHT
    If previous width and current width are same but previous height and current height are different then we know that the bottom edge is being dragged so I can issue my own PANEL_SIZING_BOTTOM
    Otherwise the only possibility now is PANEL_SIZING_RIGHT
    Etc.
    For readers of this who are dealing with Linux it is good to note this post as well.  Sometimes it is necessary to access the lower level X functions to get things done in Linux.
