EBS 11i OAM Monitor

Hi,
I am opening my EBS OAM, to monitor my Applications.
On the first page > Overview >     Applications System Status
Host                    Platform          Host Status     Admin     Database     Concurrent Processing     Forms     Web
ORACLEPROD     LINUX Intel     Up                   Up     Up                 Down                   Up         UpI can see in the chart that Concurrent Processing is down? Why? How do I startup it? I am surprise because the users are not complainig even
if it is down the wholeday :( , Or maybe they do not use the concurrent processing?
Please help,
Thanks a lot

I am browsing the OAM form modules.
My boss wants a management report out of OAM. I tried checking each forms but I can not find any report
I can submit to our boss, something that he can appreciate or understand. Maybe I just dont know how
    to use it yet.
Have you submitted any reports out of OAM? Can you suggest what reports to produce please.

  • Monitoring Password Resets to EBS 11i IDs

Has anyone been forced, for SOX compliance, to monitor EBS 11i user ID password resets? If YES, how are you monitoring those resets?
I don't think any standard 11i report exists.
Is anyone using the Audit functionality within Audit Tables to monitor password resets? Or perhaps using the table / column audit functionality within the 9i database itself?

You can query the applsys.fnd_user table, it has a number of password related columns. (password_date, password_access_left, etc.)

  • Runaway Processes in our EBS 11i Server

    Hi hussein,
    RHEL 4.6
    EBS 11i
I am confused with was is happening to our EBS 11i server.
I usually clear everything by shutting down all apps and db tiers process.
then I check ps -ef| and I see that there is no more appsmgr and oramgr id running.
But after a while....there will start some appsmgr process but no oramgr process I do not know if someone has triggered this process in crontab? but I can not idenfy which process starting it. I can see <defunct> status in the "top"
monitoring and it is consuming cpu and memory resources. I just can not understand why this appsmgr process can run without a database?

  • Scheduled Jobs in EBS 11i

    Hi,
How do I list all the "scheduled jobs" in our EBS 11i ?
I want to audit those made by the functionals to check if they made it right.
Right now, I logged as SYSADMIN > System Administrator > Reguests > View
I can see pending scheduled reguest like:
    OAM Applications Dashboard Collection
    Requestor > Sysadmin
    Run > Every 10 min
Interval > From the completion of the prior run
    Schedule > Periodic
    Workflow Background Process
    Requestor > Sysadmin
    Run > Every 5 min
Interval > From the start of the prior run
    Schedule > PeriodicMy question is:
    1. Did the functional people scheduled these jobs?
    2. Are the time intervals appropriate?
    3. Compare the 1st and 2nd invervals
3.1 The first will fire new one after the previous is completed, so there can only 1 process at a time.
3.2 The 2nd will fire new process (after 5 min) even if the previous processes are still running. So there can be infinite processes? Is this correct? or should I change it?4. How can I view all the scheduled jobs using the sysadmin responsibility?
    Please assist....
    Thanks a lot

  • EBS 11i - Concurrent Manager goes down due to network failure.

    Hi,
We have a Single Node Oracle EBS 11i (11.5.10) [upgraded from 11.0.3] Production Instance on a Windows 2003 (32-Bit) server.
We have UPS support for the Server but the Netwok Switch is not on UPS. Due to this whenever there is a power trip the network goes down and due to this the Concurrent Manager (only)goes down. All other Apps Tier and DB Tier services are up inlcluding the 806 Listener (APPS_SID).
Is this how it is designed to work? Is there anyway to ensure that the Conc. Manager does not go down due to network failure.

  • Opatch error while applying Windows patch 6 (9.2.0.8.0) on EBS 11i Database

    Hi,
I am upgrading our EBS 11i database (9.2.0.5.0) to 9.2.0.8.0 by following note : 216550.1 (Interoperability Notes Oracle Applications Release 11i with Oracle9i Release 2 (9.2.0)).
I have installed Opatch 2617419 and then installed 6880880 (p6880880_101000_WINNT.zip) (OUI patch).
While applying Windows patch 6 (5916268) ,using opatch I am getting the following error:
OPATCH_JAVA_ERROR=OPatch Exception while trying to check for Mini Patchset
Cannot check bug/file conflict and component prerequisite checks.
ERROR: OPatch failed during prerequisite check.
OPatch returns with error code = 150
Any help to resolve the issue is appreciated.
I saw note +'OPATCH_JAVA_ERROR=OPatch Exception While Trying to Check for Mini Patchset' while applying patch using opatch 1.0.0.0.x [ID 971783.1].+
There are no '&' in the inventory file. There are a lot of '<'. I dont know if this note is applicable.
    Thanks
    Thiru.

    Hi,
I am following section 2 only.
In Section 2, # 7 we have to apply latest Oracle Patching Tool (OPatch) patch 2617419 and in # 8 we have to apply additional 9.2.0.8 RDBMS patches ( in our case it is Windows patch 6.
I am getting issue while applying Windows patch 6 using opatch.

  • Installing EBS 11i on CentOS 5.4

    Dear Members :
Encountering: error while loading shared libraries: libdb.so.3: cannot open shared object file: no such file or directory >> in step 4/5 and message showing "starting CVM on middle tier".
CentOS might not be the certified version, but since it is nothing but RHEL, I tried. Could you clear my confusions :
[1] If patch 6078836 solves the issue, how to download, as I don't have Oracle SID.
[2] Whether patches are not required if I install it on OEL5 and what should be the right Update version for that ?
[3] Is there any way I could still install on CentOS5.4, applying some rpms, to overcome libdb.so.3 issue ?
    I downloaded EBS 11i from e-delivery choosing "on-demand/Linux X86" .
    Thanks in advance.
    Atanu

    Hi Atanu,
Could you please try to answer my first post in this regard ?
CentOS might not be the certified version, but since it is nothing but RHEL, I tried. Could you clear my confusions :Off course both Centos and redhat holds same source code, you can try your Installation on centos, but what i recommend is you can get certified OS platform free to download from oracle web http://edelivery.oracle.com then why to waste time on uncertified version of OS if Installation failed.
[1] If patch 6078836 solves the issue, how to download, as I don't have Oracle SID.Yes this can resolve your Issue, but for downloading this patch you need to have valid CSI number.
[2] Whether patches are not required if I install it on OEL5 and what should be the right Update version for that ?Yes, this is an interoperability patch at OS level provided by oracle as pre-requisite patch for Installing oracle applications.
[3] Is there any way I could still install on CentOS5.4, applying some rpms, to overcome libdb.so.3 issue ?yes, you can. But Instead of wasting your time i again recommend you to download OEL from http://edelivery.oracle.com

  • RHEL 6 for EBS 11i (11.5.10.2)

    Hi hussein,
I posted a thread in here before about our company buying or upgrading to a newer server which is of higher-end and with bigger CPUs and Memories.
We are currently running EBS 11i (11.5.10.2) on the current server which is about 6 years old. This is single node only and running RHEL 4.6.
Now, due to performance degradation, we are buying newer machines which will be a two-node configuration. The machine vendor said that the O.S. that it runs on will be RHEL 6.
My question is....Is RHEL 6 supported in EBS 11i? Can I clone the existing PROD EBS 11i which is on RHEL 4.6 to
the new target servers running on RHEL 6?
    Thanks a lot,
    Ms Inday

My question is....Is RHEL 6 supported in EBS 11i? No, you either need to install RHEL4 or RHEL5.
Can I clone the existing PROD EBS 11i which is on RHEL 4.6 to
the new target servers running on RHEL 6?If you install RHEL5, you can use Rapid Clone to clone from RHEL4 to RHEL5.
Please see these docs for the list of pre-req. software and packages on RHEL5/OEL5
Oracle Applications Installation Update Notes, Release 11i (11.5.10.2) [ID 316806.1]

You may relink relink the executable files as per the docs referenced in this thread (it is optional as Rapid Clone will do this for you).

  • How can I do the load test for EBS 11i

    Dear Suport
    I start to try OATS.
I have used a Openscript to record the functional test and it works fine for EBS 11i.
However, I cannot directly use the script from Functional Test. Is there have any ways to convert the Functional Testing script to Load Testing script?
Since the fail of using functional script, I create a new Load Testing script in Openscript and record what I do in functional test. However, I got the below error when I record the script.
    !ENTRY oracle.oats.scripting.modules.http.proxyRecorder.ProxyRecorderQueueRunnable 2 0 2010-01-06 11:42:07.354
!MESSAGE Could not determine request character set for http://localhost:8088/olt/ConnectToServer.do, referer=http://localhost:8088/olt/BuildScenario.do
    !ENTRY oracle.oats.scripting.modules.browser.api.javaHelper.Installer 4 0 2010-01-06 11:42:58.678
!MESSAGE formsRecorder.jar does not exist in C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\lib\ext
I have tried to copy the file, formsRecorder.jar, from C:\OracleATS\OpenScript\openscript_configuration\org.eclipse.osgi\bundles\56\1\.cp\lib to C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\lib\ext
However, the file, formsRecorder.jar, will be deleted when record the test by openscript. (Antivirus too is disabled during record the script).
Do you have any idea for record the Load Testing script by Openscript?
