EBS 12.1.1 multinode configuration

Hello:
I have installed EBS 12.1.1. on multi node condiguration:
1 db sever
3 app servers.
Everything works OK, but when I try to log in to the server1 (http://server1.mydomain.com:8000) it redirects me to the server3 (http://server3.mydomain.com:8000/OA_HTML/AppsLogin) i need to keep separated servers, I mean when I log into the server 1 keep working on the server 1, and the same for all the servers.
how can I do this.

Hi,
You need to follow the same procedure except that you need to convert the database from single instance to RAC (since Rapid Install does not install a RAC database).
For converting the database to RAC, please refer to (Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 High Availability Documentation Roadmap [ID 1072636.1]).

R12 Multinode configuration

We are having 2 node 11g RAC for R12 database & 2 node shared application file system for apps tier now we are having problem when deploying h/w load balancer ahead of apps server pool , so I want to know If I not use load balancer & make one of apps server as single web entry point can processing capacity of other server also be used for concurrent processing, reports processing & forms services, means if I implement PCP & start all services on both nodes then will client request will be load balanced or not.

EBS HTTP SERVER CONFIGURATION

I am learning to configure the EBS http server. Where do I find the file the contains the DAD (database access discriptor)?
I read the docs and it told me to run
http://titan.ebs.com:8000/pls/admin_/ but it as asking
a password. What is the default password for the VISION

How to Convert Date to Month in Database which is pointing to EBS, Not DWH.

Hi Friends,
We are planning to create reports in OBIEE and the Source is EBS. That means, we don’t want to depends on Datawarehouse and Informatica and OBIApps. We just create some reports and they are pointing to EBS database.
For testing purpose, we have taken one HR Report and it containsthe below columns:
Month (Dim)
Revenue Per Employee Headcount (Fact)
Average Cost per Active Workforce Headcount (Fact)
In my little investigation, we found that Revenue column is coming from EBS: GL_BALANCES. And we configured W_Day_D base table in DAC as there is no Month column in EBS (Not sure).
*** Coming to my problem, how can I call Month column in my database pointed to EBS. How to convert Date to Month in my database.
I could be wrong but anyone please look into this issue.. How can I create columns for that exact OBI report in EBS database instead of DwH.

You are right. Here, no need of using W_DAY_D table, but, we need all the stuff from the table and to explain my problem i have taken that table as an example. Now, we ran scripts for W_MONTH_D and W_DAY_D tables with EBS columns. So, we are getting data for the tables. In the same manner we have to create scripts for the below tables.
W_GL_ACCOUNT_D
W_GL_OTHER_F
W_STATUS_D
W_MCAL_DAY_D
W_EMPLOYMENT_STAT_CAT_D
W_WRKFC_BAL_A
W_DAY_D (Completed)
W_MONTH_D (Completed)
But, we are not aware of EBS Tables and their columns much. So, we are back tracing from RpD --> DAC --> Info --> EBS for each and every column and its taking much time.
So, if anyone of you facing the same issue, please share the EBS tables for the corresponding OBI tables, which are mentioned above.

Help on EBS software for firewalled scenario

Hi,
We have the configuration of a three-tier application on sun v890 servers and each tier sits behind a firewall. i.e. database and application have a firewall in between, web server to application has a firewall and so on.
while configuring backups for the databases we need to know the exact port number that is being used by the EBS backup software for taking the backups or possibility of configuring the minimum number of ports through which the backup can be taken for each server.
Could anybody give a clue to this scenario?

As per the sub-section "configuring firewall support" within "server management"
following can be the port allocations for opening the firewall for the service connections:
1) for the backup server

I have SSL setup in production and need to apply the latest autoconfig patch there. Can you please advice if running autoconfig will impact the current SSL setup in any way?
My EBS version is 11.5.10.2 with 10.2.0.4 database. I have a multinode configuration with Web and forms server on one node and Database, reports, concurrent and admin server on the other.

JINITIATOR 1.3.1 ON THE DB Node?

I have a basic 2 node EBS 11.5.10.2 configuration. Node 1 has the database, concurrent managers, admin server, etc. Node 2 has the forms server, web server, etc. I am in the process of upgrading the jdk from 1.3.1 to 1.5 on the application tiers. Note: 304099.1 states that I need to run the txkrun.pl upgrade script on all application tiers. Even though Node 1 is my database tier, it also has application tier components on it so I have to run it there also (I'm assuming). When I run it on the database node however, it states that my Jinit version is 1.1.8 not 1.3.1 so it cannot upgrade to JDK to 1.5. The Jinit version on Node 2 however is 1.3.1, so I don't think I would have a problem running the txkrun.pl upgrade script there.
Question1: Should the JINIT versions be different on each node?
Question2: Do I even need to run this upgrade script on the database node?
Question3: Do I need to upgrade the JINIT to 1.3.1 on the database node to proceed?

5117525 is the latest Jinitiator Interop patch for 1.3.1.26. If you upgraded to 1.3.1.26 earlier, you probably applied an older Jinitiator Interop patch. It could have been 4551339 APPLICATIONS INTEROPERABILITY PATCH FOR JINITIATOR 1.3.1.x
The latest Jinitiator Patch will provide the latest jinitiator related files required for autconfig. It will not regenarate your Jinitiator key, so you have no risk of introducing yellow bar issues to your users. If 5117525 was never applied on the db/cm tier, you should apply it first, then run jinit.sh. Since you do not start apache/forms on this tier, this action will have no affect other than allow autoconfig to complete correctly. Then proceed with JDK 1.5.0 upgrade.
I am doing jinitiator 1.3.1.26 and JDK upgrades to 1.5.0 on 6 instances this week in preparation for DST. I just merged all Critical Patch updates, JDK/Jinit interop patches together and ran the update scripts after the patch completed:

I Have place the my .dbc file in <<OAF JDev home>jdev/dbcfiles/security
I am able to create the DB with .dbc file entries.

Email bursting send report as HTML in email body

Hello,
I have Oracle BI Publisher 10.1.3.4.1 (build# 1101) version installed as part of Oracle Business Inteligence.
I have question about email bursting. I created simple report and I am bursting it via email. But I would like to send report in HTML as part of email body and not as attachment. I read that it is possible in other versions of BIP (as part of EBS) with using of bursting configuration file. But I can not use this file with my version of BIP, I can configure bursting only vie SQL query.
Is there any solution?

This report when bursted sends an email with the layout template as html body.
The EMAIL configuration is set with a server Port number and its host address.

Has anyone installed XMLP in a multi-node appsTiers environment?

We are experiencing a problem with installing XMLP 4.5.
Our EBS 11i(11.5.9) configuration: dbTier is on HP-UX, admin/CM of appsTier is on HP-UX and web/forms of appsTier is on Windows, i.e two nodes appsTier.
Applying the major patch 3554613 (XMLP 4.5) created $APPL_TOP/xdo/11.5.0 on both UNIX and Windows nodes. But the $JAVA_TOP/oracle/apps/xdo is only created on UNIX node.
When we reported the problem of XMLP in relation to OA Framework (see my other posting on this forum) to Oracle, the support engineer said the patch should create %JAVA_TOP%\oracle\apps\xdo on Windows too. But he is not sure as he only has a single node environment.
We tried a couple of times of reapplying the patch without any luck.
We start wondering if the XMLP 4.5 can be successfully installed in a multi-node appsTiers environment.
So my question is:
Has anyone successfully installed XMLP in a multi-node appsTiers environment?

XMLP is installed on the apps middle tier so it should be no problem. The only thing, once you have it installed is if you want to use our cfg file you'll need to have the cfg file installed on all nodes.

DAC not populating FACT table for the GL module - W_GL_OTHER_F (zero rows)

Question for the group: Are there any specific settings which might be preventing us from getting data loaded into our FACT tables? I was doing research and found the following on the internet:
Map Oracle General Ledger account numbers to Group Account Numbers using the following file file_group_acct_names_ora.csv. Is this something that is necessary?

Also, another reason I had was that if you choose not to filter by set of books/type then you must still include the default values set of books id 1 and type NONE in the list on the DAC parameters (this is a consequence of strange logic in the decode statements for the sql in the extract etl).
I would recomend you run the extract fact sql prior to running your execution plan to sanity check how many rows you expect to get. For example, to see how many journal lines, use informatica designer to view mapplet SDE_ORA11510_Adaptor.mplt_BC_ORA_GLXactsJournalsExtract.2.SQ_GL_JE_LINES.3 in mapping SDE_ORA11510_Adaptor.SDE_ORA_GLJournals then cut paste the SQL to run your favourite tool such as sqldeveloper. You will have to fill in the $$ variables yourself.
