EBS - EDI Integration using SOA Suite EBS Adapter

Hi, We would be receiving EDI 850 PO document in Oracle B2B. We want to update this EDI 850 document in EBS. We are using EBS Adapter. But we don't have much idea on how EDI method works in EBS. Couldn't find much references for implementation. Pls. provide some details if you have done this before.
Thanks!

Do you have SOA installed and integrated with R12? If not, please see these docs.

Is it possible to use SOA Suite 11g with JDeveloper's integrated WebLogic? Or do you have to install an external WebLogic?
    Thanks for help.

    Hi
By default, NO it is NOT possible to deploy any SOA Applications on Integrated Weblogic Server that comes with JDeveloper. This integrated weblogic server is very light weight basic weblogic server with single domain (only 1 AdminServer) to deploy a standard J2EE, ADF Applications like EJBs, WebApps, WebServices, ADF Apps etc. BUT SOA (having BPEL, BPMs etc ) cannot be deployed.
There is an option to upgrade this integrated weblogic server and install SOA on top of this. Like download soa installer that matches with your JDeveloper version and install soa on top of this weblogic. BUT I strongly do not recommend this, because you will not be able to upgrade iin future to the latest versions.
Yes, its always better to install the standalone Weblogic Server that matches with your JDeveloper version. Then install SOA on top of this Weblogic Server. Then create RCU Schemas in any Oracle Database. Run config wizard and create a SOA Domain. Now integrate this in your JDeveloper to deploy any soa applications.
Make sure that JDeveloper, Weblogic Server, SOA Software, RCU all these versions should match and they should be same.
    Thanks

  • How to use SOA Suite in conjunction with SOA Analysis and Design Tools

    Hi everybody,
I am a novice in this field and I need some help regarding integrating analysis and design tools with SOA Suite.
We used to analyze and design with Oracle Designer and use its powerful form generator to develop a system. It almost covered all the software lifecycle and kept the traceability between anlaysis, design and implementation.
I have studied about the SOA concepts and read some papaer about SOA Suite. I have also installed the SOA demo based on SOA Suite and I found it absolutely amazing, but my problem is that It seems oracle does not have any tools for SOA Analysis and Design. am I right? if so, How can we analyze and design a system based on SOA concepts and implement it using soa suite in such a way that keeps traceability? What tools is used for this purpose?
It seems that IBM have some tools like Rational Software Architect and Rational Suite which enable people to design and analyze based on SOA concepts and then generates some pieces of code (like oracle designer in old days) but is it possible to design in these tools and then generating codes for SOA Suite ? (for example generating a bpel file from a design model)
As I told before I am a novice in this field and I would be so grateful if other users can share their expriences regarding this matter.
Any help would be highly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance,
    Navid

  • How to maintain Strict Ordering of messages using SOA Suite where AQ is used for persistence.

    The requirement is this -
Source DB -> Poller DB Adapter-> BPEL -> AQ -> DEQUEUE -> Target System
Messages are DEQUEUED from an AQ (second part above - AQ -> DEQUEUE -> Target System) . The messages in this AQ are to be sent strictly in order to the Target system. In case there is an error during this processing of messages from the AQ to the Target system. The process should HALT and the message must be rolledback. Put in other words - the interface should stop . There must be no message loss in any circumstances. There should not be any further dequeue of messages or there should be no more instances created due to this. Only when someone has seen this error / error message  and acted on this error message/error shall this processing get started. Any idea how do we achieve this using SOA Suite 11g? Hope I have been able to explain well about the problem.
Environment -  has two soa managed servers on weblogic (clustered).
Please suggest ways to achieve this scenario. This is very crucial and needs implementation within 2 days of time.

    Hi,
You can use Mediator Resequencing if looking for a standard solution. Else introduce Timestamp while pushing messages in AQ and sort them by Timestamp during processing - not a neat solution though.

  • Amazon SQS Integration with SOA Suite

    Hi,
Is there any way to integrate with Amazon SQS using SOA. Please help me with the possibilities. I'm using SOA Suite PS6.
    Thanks
    JGun

Well I dont think so that amazon provides any third party adapter to connect with oracle soa suite neither oracle provides. But amazon does provide the java API and webservices, So you can use those api's and Implement connectivity in java to integrate both SOA and SQS.

  • SOAP/JMS using SOA Suite 11g

    Dear All
Can someone give a pointer - how to expose service components using SOAP/JMS in SOA Suite 11g?
I am using SOA Suite 11.1.1.5. Say we have a synchronous request-response operation - searchCustomer(SearchParam search) returns a Customer information (i.e. input type is SearchParam and output type is Customer).
How can I implement this service using SOAP over JMS?

I am new to EDI integration,i would like to know the procedure steps to do the above scenario.
    Thanks in advance,

    Hi,
How you want to communicate with the EDI system... If it is using AS2 adapter, then you need to purchase it from seeburger and configure it in the sender side and receiver side it'll be Idoc adapter. And in the ESR you need to import the xsd of EDI document under external definitions and map it to the idoc. Please refer the below links it may help you.

  • JCA adapter Integration with SOA suite

    Hi all,
Where can I find documentation or reference regarding integration of third party adapter with SOA suite?
There is an option of Third Party Adapter in SOA project of JDeveloper. When I drag it onto the composite.xml file, a window comes up asking for wsdl, jca files, etc. So I would like to know if there is any example or tutorial on how to integrate a third party adapter with SOA suite. Thanks.
    Regards,
    K.Hein

    Thanks Anuj!
It seems like a new way of integrating JCA adapter to SOA suite.
Actually, I was only aware of integrating as a third party adapter as mentioned in this article (http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/articles/luttikhuizen-adapters-091679.html) which require wsdl and jca files.
Are there any difference between those two approaches? Which would be the recommended approach for JCA adapter integration with SOA? Thanks again for your informative replies.

  • EDI Integration using PI with third party connectors

    Hi Experts ,
I would like to know the extra cost factors associated if going for EDI integration with PI with third party connectors like seeburger .
    1. We have NW 2004s ECC installed . Do we need to purchase PI separately? If yes how much will it cost ?
    2. How licensing will happen in case of PI ?
    3. How much Seeburger will cost ? Is there any sort of AMC associated with seeburger
    4. Do we install Seeburger and PI on the same box ?
    5. How will be the landscape with Seeburger Instance ?
    6. How we will be able to move Seeburger Objects across the landscape ? DEV->QA->PRD

Yes your need to but PI separately, its independed product, its not come with ECC.
    > 2. How licensing will happen in case of PI ?
Better to talk with SAP Sales team, they will help you with genuine answers.
    > 3. How much Seeburger will cost ? Is there any sort of AMC associated with seeburger
Its depends on which See Burger Adapter You are going to use,.
    > 4. Do we install Seeburger and PI on the same box ?
Yes ,we need to deploy the seeburger drivers on PI Server.
    > 5. How will be the landscape with Seeburger Instance ?
google it,you wil find the answer i am not sure
    > 6. How we will be able to move Seeburger Objects across the landscape ? DEV->QA->PRD
As per my knowledge when you develop any interface using seer burger adapter or predefined mappings, its same procedure to transport also.

  • Problem - Create RESTFull Service Using SOA Suite

Hello folks, I am facing an issue while trying to create a simple REST WS with JDev and SOA Suite 11g. I have tried with JDev 11115, what I get from that is when I call the service endpoint I get a null pointer exception, just as described here:
    http://biemond.blogspot.com/2010/05/http-binding-in-soa-suite-11g-ps2.html
I then tried to use JDev 11120 but the SOA Suite extension does not work with this version.
Any ideas on how to resolve the issue? Is there any bug fixes for JDev 11115?
    Thank you in advance,
    Andre

I am having the same issue. Any help is appreciated.

  • Oracle SOA Suite DB Adapter with BPEL

    Hi All,
I am using an inbound DB Adapter to poll a tabe and fetch any new inserted records.
    My implemented flow
DBAdapter (Reads Data from database) > BPEL Process
In my table i have a status column which needs to be updated if the record fetched is successfully processed by the BPEL.
In the adapter configuration wizard i have the selected "Update Field in Table (Logical Delete) "
This works fine for successful processing but i dont have any idea on how to avoid the updation of the status column if the BPEL throws an exception.
Can anyone please help me on this asap as i need to implement this in my project.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Sachin

that is either make the read op in the bpel service sync or set the invocation mode on the "partner link" to sync.

  • Business Rules Decision Service Error using SOA Suite with the WebLogic

    Hi,
We are working with Oracle SOA Suite 10.1.3.4 on WebLogic 9.2. We have some decision services that work properly on Oracle SOA Suite 10.1.3.4 with Oracle Application Server. Hi Boris,
Looks like you have not run the post upgrade script for 10.1.3.4.
You need to install SOA 10.1.3.4 Basic Installation. Then start following : http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12524_01/core.1013/e13058/weblogic.htm#BHCIIBFB
You basically, first install 10.1.3.4 basic SOA install, Apply the Opatch 7337034 (HOTPLUG: SOASUITE 10.1.3.4 ON WEBLOGIC 9.2 - CHANGES FOR HOTPLUGGABILITY). Install WLS 9.2 MP3.
Now, Download the Oracle SOA Suite 10.1.3.4 WebLogic Server 9.2 : patch : 7490612.
Then , Modify the following mandatory installation properties in the Weblogic_SOA10134_Base\SOADomain.properties file as per the documentation above.

  • Is it possible to execute OS commands/files on remote server using SOA Suite/BPEL , just like we have JCA adapter File/FTP to exchange files across servers ?

I am working on technical process automation requirement wherein files need to be exchanged and executed as well , SOA workflow capabilities are helping but I could not find a way to remote OS comman execution yet.
    Please help.
    Thanks

The whole idea of SOA is to run web services located anywhere. So I believe if you can expose the runtime in remote servers as services then you will be able to call those services like any other web service.
Or if you requirement is to execute files on the SOA server itself then you can use the java embedding activity.

  • Integration with PeopleSoft Applications Using Oracle SOA Suite 11g BPEL

    Hi,
I'm integrating BPEL with Peoplesoft FSCM 9.0 Application on tools 8.49 using Oracle SOA Suite 11g. The BPEL invokes the web service method generated from Peoplesoft Component Interface in a synchronuos manner.
I have deployed the BPEL in Oracle SOA Suite 11g using Jdeveloper successfully but I have problem in configuring the BPEL node in Peoplesoft side using Oracle SOA Suite 11g(FMW) . I had done the integration of BPEL with Peoplesoft FSCM 9.0 on tools 8.49 using Oracle SOA Suite 10g earlier successfully by configuring BPEL node properties as follows:
BPEL CONSOLE : http://Host Name:8888/BPELConsole (System with Oracle SOA Suite 10g server for deployment)
    BPEL DOMAIN : default
Using this BPEL node configuration, I was able to ping the BPEL console of Oracle SOA Suite 10g from peoplesoft and hence complete the integration successfully.
Now in order to acomplish Business rules and other functionality, the BPEL application has been developed in Oracle SOA Suite 11g using Jdeveloper 11g. This time I'm not able to configure the BPEL node in Peoplesoft for this integration as I'm assuming there is no separate BPEL console in Oracle SOA Suite 11g. All the BPEL deployments are administered in console (11g console used for deployment of BEPL)
http://Host Name:7001/em (System with Oracle SOA Suite 11g server - Fusion Middleware).
So when I Configured the BPEL node property in Peoplesoft as :
BPEL CONSOLE : http://Host Name:7001/em (System with Oracle SOA Suite 11g server for deployment)
    BPEL DOMAIN : default
I'm not able to ping the Peoplesoft BPEL node to the Oracle SOA Suite 11g. Hence I'm not able to proceed with my integration.
When I searched the OTN discussion forum on BPEL console for Oracle SOA Suite 11g, all threads point that there is no separate BPEL console unlike Oracle SOA Suite 10g. Also most of the articles for Integration with Peoplesoft Application using SOA 11g do not state any specific configuration setting for property of Peoplesoft BPEL node in order to integrate with BPEL 11g. The examples published in OTN still point towards screen shots of integration using SOA Suite 10g.
So I'm not able to proceed in this regard.
Any help in this regard is highly appreciated.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Girish

    typo error

    Hi,
I found this document from the Oracle Open World 2009 (maybe you have found it too) :
"Integration with PeopleSoft applications using oracle soa suite 11g BPEL" --> [http://www.oracle.com/technology/tech/fmw4apps/peoplesoft/pdf/oow2009-bpel-psft.pdf]
And this could be a little more simple, but have a good step-by-step tutorial.
I think you must read this docs by now, but never come amiss.
    Hope this can help you,
By the way, if you can help me with this I'll appreciate it a lot.

  • Access to package through database adapter in Soa suite problems

    Hi,
We have to build a bpel process that inserts data in Oracle EBS custom tables. We have to use Soa suite 10.1.3.4.0.
In Oracle EBS we have made a custom api with a pl/sql record and 2 pl/sql tables as argument.
When i made a database adapter, Jdeveloper made a wrapper package to translate to this custom api.
Under the user apps this works fine.
But I have the following problem: Our customer does not want us to connect to apps schema direct.
So we made another user that is granted to the custom api , the wrapper api and the types for the wrapper api.
I even created public synonyms for all these objects.
But still runtime in BPEL console these errors occurs:
An error occurred while preparing and executing the APPS.XXEPF_BPEL_VERWERK_ASSIGNMENT.XXEPF_INHUUR_ASS_BERICHT_PKG$ API. Cause: java.sql.SQLException: ORA-06550: line 1, column 7:

When i update only the location in the wsdl:
         <jca:address location="eis/DB/inflex" UIConnectionName="eli_apps_ontw2"
              ManagedConnectionFactory="oracle.tip.adapter.db.DBManagedConnectionFactory" />
            </port>
to "eis/DB/inflex2" the same proces runs fine.
(inflex2 connects to apps and inflex2 to XXEBSBPELQ)
    Anybody an idea?

Are the types defined in the same way in both schema's?
Vaguely remember that there was some restriction to use DB and EBS adapter that types had to be owned by the schema that was connecting to it. Please check the docs for this.
