EBS ER Connector User Reconciliation into OIM

Hi,
I have a requirement where we need to create user when an employee information is entered in EBS R12. We have created a plug-in for creating a user account and this plug-in executes after update, user id which is firstname;s first character and lastname appended with number. In the Lookup.EBS.ER.Recon, we have changed the user id with the plug-in variable. After doing this configuration, we are successfully able to create the user account, but when we are trying urpdate any field in the EBS R12 employee information we are not able to update as it is giving user id null exception. And even we want to send a notification with user details to user manager, this is also not working after adding the plug-in for user name creation.
Please help me to resolve this problem.

I gone through the connector guide, but couldn't get any information related to setting Person Id as mandatory. I am using EBS ER Connector release 9.1.0 and OIM 11g. Can you please help me out?

Hi experts,
I am new to OIM. I have a doubt in EBS UM Connector.
I have a EBS UM connector deployed in OIM and i was able to perform target reconciliation from EBS to OIM. Now I have some custom fields in both parent form and child forms. Does this affect the reconciliation behavior?
Does this also affect the connector behavior when we migrate to production?

There are scripts you can modify that can provide you the fields during recon if those are available in your ebs database.

Initial Loading of User Details into OIM 11g from Peoplesoft

I wanted to pull user both (employee/contractor) details into OIM from People Soft. Which connector should i use.?
PSFT User Management? or PSFT Employee Recon?
Initially the users doesn't exist in OIM. I am looking for something like initial loading.

As per earlier version of PS ER connector, Oracle® Identity Manager Connector Guide for PeopleSoft Employee Reconciliation, Release 9.1.0, on section 3 Extending the Functionality of the Connector, there is guide on how to extend the connector to pull additional attributes from PS , by using peoplecode..
But in Oracle® Identity Manager Connector Guide for PeopleSoft Employee Reconciliation,Release 11.1.1, am not able to find this information anymore.
On how to pull additional attributes from PS like department, division and location, which is custom attributes in PS

OIM 11g DBAT connector - trusted reconciliation for user roles

We have a database table containing a bunch of user records, and a table with a foreign key that contains all the associations user-group. We would like to do trusted reconciliation from those two tables into OIM. I already did that for target reconciliation but now I am having a look at the DBAT connector docs, and I have found this:
"Child Table/View Names
If you want to use the connector for trusted source reconciliation, then do not enter a
value. If you want to use the connector for target resource reconciliation and if user data is
spread across parent and child tables, then enter a comma-separated list of child table
names."
Does this mean that role membership trusted reconciliation is not supported by the DBAT connector?

DBAT connector does not support trusted source with child data.
But that does not mean you cannot configure user table as trusted source.
What is it that you want to do with child table ?

Reconciliation: push updates from an OpenLDAP into OIM 11g

Is there in the latest OIM a "push" connector that would allow a reconciliation process (ie inward flow into OIM) starting from an OpenLDAP directory system?

Yeah, you're right, unfortunately we have dual authorative password model, where a user can change the password from OIM when he is accessing a OIM through a web interface or from his Windows machine through the domain controller. We need the use case to work fully both ways ideally.
A plan-B solution is to use a directory synchronization mechanism outside of OIM that would connect OID and AD, but we would prefer not to.

Create,update, delete of users in OIM through user reconciliation

Hi,
I want to perform create, update and delete of users in OIM using reconciliation of users through Oracle database.
I mean, I want to user Oracle database as trusted source of user information.
Can I perform these CRUD operations by creating GTC (generic technology connector) or is there any other means of doing it?
I need detail information/document on how I can perform user reconciliation?

Xelsysadm has a valid email id. Now when I am reconciling any user, two mail notifications are being sent. Not able to know from where these two notifications are being triggered.
Am i suppose to make any changes in the configurations?

Sorry re-read your issue again. I believe there are two notifications because you have added your notify task in the process definition and OIM OOTB sends a notification when a user is recon'd. Thus remove your task or disable the OOTB notification. The property is Recon.SEND_NOTIFICATION

OIM EBS UM Connector

Hello,
Just I installed Oracle EBS HR Foundation User Management 9.1.0.5.0 on OIM11g, not configured and provisioned anything and now requirements are changed to TCA Foundation, how can I uninstall HR Foundation connector?

You can't uninstall a connector. You will need to revert your database or start over.
However, you can continue with the other connector and just not use the original one.

Why OID Connector User Search Reconciliation Sch. Job Does Not Link Users?

I provisioned a user to the resource successfully; then I ran OID Connector User Search Reconciliation Sch. Job sucessfully. When i check the Reconcillation Event results, i can see the event related with my Sch. Job but in the details of the event Linked To part is empty. I am expecting to see linking result but unfortunately no linking result represented. It says Not linked to any user as result of Linked User field.
Do u have any idea?

In the Reconcillation Rule, i have the following Rule --> User Profile Data: User Login

Then i click to the Create Reconcillation Profile.
Job still does not link Users. Any missing settings?

EBS TCA Connector

Hi Experts,
I have installed EBS TCA connector on my OIM 11g installation. I am able to create user through OIM into EBS. But Some of the values are not populated into HZ_Parties Table
1. Email address is pushed into FND_USERS table but not HZ_PARTIES table. (While CREATE process)
2. Is connector creates account in HZ_Relationships table? If so how to configure it?
3. I tried to update User's first name or last name got following error:

How to provision multiple AD Accounts to a single User Profile in OIM

Hi,
We are using OIM 11g R2. We have implemented AD Provisioning/Reconciliation using Active Directory 11g Connector.
The correlation rule for linking AD accounts with OIM during target recon is set as “Email ID”
We have some business requirement where we want to provision multiple AD Accounts to a single User Profile in OIM.
Issue we are facing:
Suppose we have USERID1 in OIM which has email id as USERID1@ XYZ.COM .
After that we have provisioned sAMAccountName=USERID1 (Email ID as USERID1@ XYZ.COM )& sAMAccountName=USERID2 (Email ID as [email protected]) to the user User Login = USERID1 in OIM.
Both the AD User accounts can be seen as provisioned.
After we run the AD Target Recon, the target recon is failing because of “Multiple Process Matches Found” issue.
Question here is:
Is it possible to maintain/manage multiple AD Accounts (Same AD is used for all the multiple AD Accounts) to a single OIM profile user ?

Hi,
We have seen its working and linking multiple accounts when we have Key field as "User ID" in the Process Defn & RO and the recon matching rule has email ID as the matching rule.
Please suggest, if we are having the above kind of rule/config...will it not cause any issue?

SAP ER: User Reconciliation Data Transformation

Hi all,
I need to transform data during user reconciliation from a SAP HR trusted source.
I did everything as described at chapter *"4.5 Configuring Transformation of Data During User Reconciliation"*
(http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E11223_01/doc.910/e11210/extnd_func.htm#CIHIHAJE)
1. Write code that implements the required transformation logic in a Java class.
2. Create a JAR file to hold the Java class.
3. Upload jar into OIM database
4. Edit&Save the Lookup.SAP.HRMS.ReconTransformation (applied for the Last Name field)
5. Edit&Save Lookup.SAP.HRMS.Configuration
Finally I also restarted the oim server.
When the user reconciliation ends, I don't find any field (Last Name in my case) transformed and I cannot find any log message about my tranformation class.
It seems that OIM (11g) doesn't invoke the transformation class: there is some additional task not described to follow?
Some one has been able to transform data during SAP ER User Reconciliation? And if yes, how?

Hi Gabriele
Check the batch size system property. Only after the number of events reaches to that number, your recon events will be processed.
Please run the scheduled job "Non Scheduled batch recon" to process the recon events immediately.

Transformation of Data During User Reconciliation

Hi all,
I'd want transform data during user reconciliation from a trusted source SAP HR.
In my case I have to transform the userid coming from SAP to generated a custom OIM User Login attribute.
As described in the "Connector Guide for SAP Employee Reconciliation", I wrote a java class that implements the Transformation interface,
the method "transform" has the code to generate the userid; then I created a jar, unploaded it, and finally I changed the following lookup definitions as described in the doc guide:
- Lookup.SAP.HRMS.Configuration
COD KEY = Use Transformation For Recon
DECODE = YES
- Lookup.SAP.HRMS.ReconTransformation
COD KEY = User ID
DECODE KEY = com.mycompany.custom.ReconUserLoginGenerator
When the reconciliation process ends the OIM user login is created but it isn't trasformed; in the log I did't see any excpetion of my class and it seems that no trigger has been triggered for the class.
Someone has suggestion about the Transformation data during user recon? I forgot something in order to transform data?

About the EBS HR Connector

Now our project confronts a tough problem about Oracle Identity Manager product. The detail about it is :
Oracle EBS HR is the trusted source of OIM, and we adopt EBS HR Connector to integrate it with OIM. But the reconciliation filter conditions of Scheduler task are not sufficient, which only contain lastname and nationality. We want to add several other filter conditions, such as the organization and person type, but don't know how should we do? Because we can not obtain the relevant source codes to do some develop. Does anyone has some suggestions about it ?
By the way, the product version is as follows:
Oracle Identity Manager: 9031
EBS HR Connector: 9041

Hi,
you should be able to customize a bit the file config/query.properties, which
contains the SQL templates for queries used for reconciliation.
The templates are:
getEmp1 = ..
getEmp2 = ..
getNewEmps = ..
getAllEmps = ..

Any automated way to load organizations information into OIM?

Hi OIM experts,
I am using EBS HR connector. I would like to bring over the same HR organization/departments information into OIM. I've learned from this forum that all organizations/departments need to be created in OIM. Since there are a lots of them, is there any automatic way that I can do to load these records into OIM, instead of creating them manually? Any guidance or information is greatly appreciated.

Few options. You could write a scheduled task to read a flat file, or even connect to EBS, and grab the names of the organizations. Then use the APIs to create organizations.
You could also export a single Organization using the deployment manager. The duplicate that xml and replace the organization name with your list of names.
