EBS R12 demo videos needed

Hi,
My company is looking for "video tutorials" to train its financial Users who are new to E-business Suite.
I tried to use the videos available at "www.handsonerp.com". However the management said that these videos at handsonerp.com explain the modular structure of E-Business suite in the form of charts and diagrams while they are looking for the videos which should contain the recording of Actual Navigation, login to Applications, selecting a responsibility, opening forms, submitting a request etc etc. They are even ready to buy them, if they are not available for free. I have been looking for such a source on Google for 2 days but could not find something suitable.
Could someone please suggest me a good site which has Oracle Apps Video tutorials for financial Users, who are new to E-Biz suite.
We need tutorials for the following topics:
1. Oracle Applications Introduction and Overview (general navigation for a new User to make him familiar with Apps.)
2. Oracle Applications Payables.
3. Oracle Applications General Ledger.
Please help me in finding some good resource.

ohhh is it ?? ...actually i just tried the videos in "Introduction To ERP" i.e. the first article. In those videos, they have not shown any login screens, navigation in applications, instead only charts and modules are there. So I thought that's the way they are explaining.

As you mentioned that you just upgraded the database, so the data is same and schema is same you can connect with the same work schema.
Yes, you can use the same contexts , but need to do Reverse Engineering for your new database.
And about data server, i think you also have no need to create new data server, if hostname,sid and port etc are same as these were with R11(consult with your DBAs regarding it)

What config should be done before running the ETL of EBS R12 vison demo

Do the ETL for financial analytics, based on the EBS R12 vison demo database.
I checked the doument, it quite complicated. Could I skip all the configuration steps in http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12127_01/doc/bia.795/e12083/toc.htm (chapter 7 and chapter 9);
Just use the default value, is that ok?

ORA-00060 dead lock happen on R12 demo database

We have EBS R12 (12.0.4) on Redhat Linux system when I check alert.log file and found demo database (VIS) have ORA-00060 dead lock. The dead lock happen on statement:
UPDATE FND_CONCURRENT_REQUESTS SET PP_END_DATE = SYSDATE, POST_REQUEST_STATUS = 'E' WHERE REQUEST_ID = :B1
Do I need do anthing relate to this ORA- error or just ignore it?

I also read document 153717.1 and compare FND_CONCURRENT_REQUESTS table definition. The initial number of trnasaction is 10 and max is 255. I try to use OEM to change "initial transaction number" and it don't allow to.
Any ideal???

EBS R12 Extend Oracle Applications: Forms 10g

I am practicing to develop forms in EBS R12. I am copying fmbs to my windows to edit
my forms. I am using developer forms 10g and I am following this steps:
- Copy all pll files, TEMPLATE.fmb & APPSTAND.fmb from $AU_TOP/resource to your local pc (C:\ABC)
- Add (C:\ABC) to FORMS_PATH in the registry
- Close/Open Forms Builder
- Open the form
I am opening the TEMPLATE.fmb on my windows but I encounter these errors:
FRM-10102: Cannot attach PL/SQL library APPCORE. This library attachment will be lost if the module is saved.
FRM-10102: Cannot attach PL/SQL library APPDAYPK. This library attachment will be lost if the module is saved.
FRM-10102: Cannot attach PL/SQL library VERT. This library attachment will be lost if the module is saved.

What I dont understand here is the WEBUTIL_DB package.
I tried to search my 10g database with it:
Select * from dba_objects where object_name like '%WEBUTIL%';
But no rows selected. Where can I find this package please?

The window titled « Install Oracle Applications - Welcome » is displayed but empty;
I Click [ X ] at the top right corner;
The windows titled « Oracle Applications Rapid Install Wizard Alert » is displayed, asking « Are you sure you want to exit ? » I say [ Yes ];
On the Terminal, I press Ctrl C.
I choose Ubuntu that is easy to use. I tried and abandoned Oracle EL5 and Solaris.

(all other Disk spaces were accepted.)
Where I can correct the disk space allocation ? There are 67 GB free disk space on my pc, avalaible space before VIS install was 270 GB approximatively.

EBS R12.1.3 with OSSO integration

Hi ,
I have integrated OSSO with EBS R12 (12.1.3) following the documentation.
I am facing "Internal Server Error 500" when accessing the EBS url. Looks like some problem with the partner applicaiton registration.
How to debug this.? What could be the potential error??
I chose this way, because of EBS+Demantra integration.
Any info on this is appreciated..

Discoverer integration with EBS R12 !!!

Hello Sir,
I need help to install/integrate Discoverer with R12.
Actually, our clients are using Discoverer 4i in current EBS 11.5.10.2 in production. We have just upgraded EBS in TEST environment from 11.5.10.2 to R12.1.3.
I had suggested client that Discoverer 4i is actually de-supported and they need to upgrade Discoverer version to minimum 10.1.2.3 or higher to integrate it with R12.1.3.
Now, client also have requirement for Discoverer to be certified with MS Excel 2010 format. So I have suggested to upgrade Discoverer version to minimum 11.1.1.4.
Latest certified Discoverer version is 11.1.1.7.0 as per note Using Discoverer 11.1.1 with Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 (Doc ID 1074326.1)
1) Can you please provide your opinion and any documentation which I can follow to install/integrate Discoverer with R12 ?
2) Do I need to first install separate 10gAS for installing Discoverer 10.1.2.3 or Fusion middleware home for installing Discoverer 11g ? If yes, where can I find doc for this installation ?
3) Since 10g support has ended July 2013, where can I get media for installing 10gAS ?

Report XML output fail to load into .RTF layout [EBS r12]

Hi,
In EBS r12, we have requirement to have a standard report output in excel.
I got the report's xml output to create the xml template (.RTF layout) using BI Publisher.
I created the .RTF layout and it works fine on my laptop using Bi Publisher.. the xml loads into it and i can preview xml data on layout with all format (Excel, PDF...)
I uploaded the layout to EBS, and assigned it to the standard report.
I changed standard report out put to XML
When i go to submit report request, the template is assigned with report and everything seems correct.

But after i run the report.
The report is Completed with Warning status.. and output is only XML with Error message :
This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below.
The Log file says :

How to find OPP log file?
To investigate on XML issues or other publishing problems, often the OPP logfile is needed.
OPP stands for Output Post Processor. Below are the steps to find log file
1. Login to the application as SYSADMIN
2. Responsibility: System Administrator
3. Function: Concurrent --> Manager --> Administration
4. Select the Output Post Processor
5. Click on the Processes button
6. Select the Concurrent Process which was active during the time that the request ran
7. Click on the Manager Log button to open the Output Post Processor log file

Capture XML data payload into database table (Oracle EBS R12)

We have a XML Publisher report which generates output in PDF format. We want to capture the XML data payload generated by this report and put it into a DB table once the PDF is generated.
This report is generated through Oracle EBS R12 and XML Payload is stored by oracle by default in $APPLCSF/out directory.
Any pointers would be helpful

Couple of options, this one is probably the easiest without knowing other requirements (e.g., do you have to store the output as XML, or do you just the data available so you can output in XML later?).
Capture the SQL statement that generates the output in the first place. If you have that statement, you can insert into some table using the select statement. Once you have the report data (and you can tag that particular set of data with a job ID, timestamp, whatever, in case you need to store it and distinguish it from other reports down the road), you can generate XML output using the PL/SQL built-in DBMS_XMLGEN.

i did stage everything going right, even i did md5sums for the extracted file of EBS R12 folder.
i stated installation, even installation done perfectly at the end of installation 2 Command Prompt windows appear and stopped, i try to open log file from oracle installation folder, i got this message at the end of log file

This is a generic error so you would need to check the installation log files for details about the error.
