Hi All,
Anyone here who has configured Electronic Bank Statement to reconcile bank account's statement of which the provider is Standard Chartered Bank?
Actually I'm doing such configuration but facing some difficulty while configuring SCB account.
Thanks & Regards,
Nayab

hi
To set up Electronic Bank Statements (EBS)
Processing in SAP for most customers in North America.
1. Create House Bank and Account ID (FI12)
2. Setup EDI Partner Profile for FINSTA Message Type (WE20)
3. Configure Global Settings for EBS (IMG)
     - Create Account Symbols
     - Assign Accounts to Account Symbols
     - Create Keys for Posting Rules
     - Define Posting Rules
     - Create Transaction Types
     - Assign External Transaction Types to Posting Rules
     - Assign Bank Accounts to Transaction Types
4. Define Search String for EBS(Optional)
    - Search String Definition
    - Search String Use
5. Define Program and Variant Selection
Additional information is also available in the SAP Library under:
Financial Accounting > Bank Accounting (FI-BL) > Electronic Bank Statement >

  • Mass change of Vendor Bank Account Number

    Dear Friends,
We have installed the new STS software from Standard chartered Bank for transferring payments to suppliers. This software needs some changes to the vendor bank account number (specific prefix depending on the vendor bank account currency).
Is there any standard utility available to do this? Or canthis be done using LSMW?
    Thanks
    Ravi

Are the changes being brought in only the prefix for that vendor and to reflect the same in table  LFBK and see the field in Lifnr getting updated with the new Prefix value .
    then check this Fm ..
    BAPI_VENDOR_EDIT
May be can write a bdc for that particular vendor(s) in XK02 or can proceed with LSMW.
Im not sure clear with what transaction you are trying to change the  prefix value cause u need to maintain that range for the vendor in the settings Spro.
    regards,

  • Using Same Bank Account for two different company code

Can we use the same bank account number and ABA key for two different company codes? Both the company codes are in USA and with the same currency.
Scenario is to separate one division of the company code to a separate company code. Client wanted to know if we can use the same bank account so that they dont have to open another bank account

The system will allow the same ABA and bank account on two different company codes.  However, if you use electronic bank statement (EBS) functionality (or plan to use it in the future), you will not be able to import bank statements for the account if it exists on two company codes.  The EBS program uses the house bank/account ID tables to assign a company code to the bank statement.  If the account exists for more than one company code, the program cannot assign a company code and it will give an error.

  • Using payoneer service as US bank account

Heslo, I have a paypal account that i often use. I have a verfied Slovak bank account linked to it and i use it for withdrawals. What i would like to do is also add a US bank account. Since the us banks dont open accounts for foreigners i would like to use a service called payoneer that that will setup a virtual us bank account for me so i can transfer the funds there. They will give me a account number and i will be able to verify the account and use it as a standard us bank account. I want to ask if that is okey with all the paypal policies ? Thank you

    Hi Myschael -
That's an excellent question, I'm glad that you came here to find the answers.
Due to the risks these types of banks pose to our system, as well as the fact that they were never intended for use with PayPal, you would not be able to use a Payoneer bank. Sorry.

  • Bank Account Reconciliation

    FI Experts,
client do not have a clearing accoutn set-up for outgoign checks, therefore I am reconciling account manually first, before I introduce them to teh clearing accoutn. I  updated the encashment field for all outstanding checks, now I need to enter the manual entries from teh bank statement.
Is this something that needs to be done thru J/E or is there a special T-code where I can enter begining balnce, wire transfers, etc. We do not have EBS yet any suggetsions in how I can do this reconcilaition in a more effective manner?
    Regards,
    Frank

    Frank,
Eventhough you do not use EBS, there is a similar tool in Bank Accounting  functionality call MBS (Manual Bank Statement), the configuration is very similar, but you don't have to deal with ABAP programming part of matching Bank codes and flat file uploading.  You can create, set it up and combine  business transactions, posting keys, posting rules and account symbols(*) for any given GL account for clearing and main bank accounts.
(*)The account symbols would help you to detail even more the level of the transaction (Ongoing Check, Incomming Wire, etc.)
After you have finished the settings you would be able to run transaction FF67 - Manual Entry, where you tell SAP initial balance of each bank account, enter you outgoing and incomming values and execute it. After it runs it automatically would post to the accounts (Main and Clearing) based on your settings and will automatically update the ending balance for the next month when run your manual bank statement again.
I hope this help you to solve your problem.

  • Automatic Bank Account Reconciliation - FF67

    Hi experts,
I am having the following issue in my ECC 6.0 environment:
I'm doing manual bank reconciliation through tcode FF67, after entering all the payments and receipts i'll save the statement and then post the statement.
Afterwards I go to tcode SM35 and run the batch input session in order to real postings take place, reconciling the payments and the receipts.
However, when selecting the open items the system gets stuck, as it is always using Amount (WRBTR) as the single selection criterion, and I have two documents with the same amount. So, I also want to use Assignment (ZUONR) as a criteria. I tried to use algortihm 015 to solve this, but I wasn't successful.
Has anyone came across something like this?
    Thanks in advance!
    Best regards,
    Joã

    Hi Mohammed
In order to make bank account transfer automatically using bank statement, you need to ensure the following things:
    1. Prepare a physical cash pool and ensure that the bank initiated sweep option is set to yes. Set up the concentration and subaccounts within whihc the transfer need to be made.
    2. Upload/Enter the bank statement for the respective banks. The line type should be sweep in or sweep out as the case may be. Enusre that the corresponding bank account number is mentioned in the Agent bank account field. For example - You transfer $100 from account 100 to account 101. In the bank statement for account 100, the line type should be sweep out and in the Agent bank account field, enter the bank account number 101. Similarly for the bank statement of account 101, the line type should be sweep in and in the Agent bank account field, enter the bank account number 100.
Once this is done, run the program Sweep Transaction Generation program. This will create the cash flows automatically.
    Hope this helps

  • Bank Accounts and Reconciliation

    Hi, Greetings of the day!
I don't understand why 3 GL accounts required for one bank, namely Bank Main Account, Bank Receipt Account and Bank Payment account. Why can't all these be controlled by one single GL account.
    Regards
    Chirag

    Hi:
In normal business scenario there are many cases that checks gets bounced, delayed clearing from banks and many ohter issues. Furthermore you know there are different modes of collection if we talk about customers ,like getting Post dated checks from them, current dated checks. Checks may get bounced. As a matter of financial prudence you should reflect the only realistic bank balance in your main account. SAP caters this need by requiring businesses to maintain three or sometime four (4ht for Post dated checks). Collections and payments are recorded in incoming and outgoing bank accounts respectively as soon as they are received or paid. These two accounts are kept on Open item management which shows that they need to be cleared. Once you receive bank statement from bank showing the deposits in incoming accounts and payment made via outgoing account you execute Bank reconciliation statement.
Cash falsification can be avoided too using clearing bank account concepts. Normally a business has so many branches across the country, in branches which are more often considered as collection and sales centers, we give authorization of incoming bank account to them, if we start using one main account then they will start playing with bank which can lead to risk of fraud.
Clearing accounts provides fundamentals for bank reconciliation statement . If you do not want to use clearing account then BRS will of be no use for you. You can then simply use main account for all cash disbursements and collections.. The best idea in this case will be to give end users authorizations to park the transaction in main bank account , and a senior should have the authority to post the transactions. I hope it will help you clearing your concerns.

  • Leading Zeros in bank Account for EBS

    Hi,
We configured the bank account number with two leading zeros in the house bank.  Say for example i defined the bank account number as 0012345 Under house bank HSBC.
When I receive the bank statement, the bank account number is coming with 12 digits i.e. will all leading zeros. say for example 000000012345.
When i am loading the bank statement using the transaction FF_5, the system is giving the error Table "T012K does not have an entry with bank account number 12345".  The client is saying the length of account number is 7 digits and should be maintained as 0012345. However the EBS is not working with the leading zeros. How can we fix this issue?
    Regards
    Kotesh Padarti

    Hello!
You can try to configure alternatice bank account in FI12. This is used in situations when the presentation of bank account in bank statement differs from that configured in main bank account field e.g. your house bank might provide you with the following layouts 000000012345 or 0012345USD etc. Therefore this functionality enables the system to recognize the bank account.
    Hope this will help you!
    Best Regards!

  • SAP EBS error - Same Bank Account number for 2 different Account ids

    Hi,
My client maintained the same Bank Account number for 2 different Account Id's within the same housebank.
He has maintained Account id HELCO ( Local cheques) and HEICO ( International Cheques) and assigned same Account Number for both in the same house bank.
I am getting error " "same bank account exists in several company codes -> see long text, Message FB757"  while uploading EBS file ( BAI2 format) due to this..
How do I resolve the issue.
Why is SAP allowing to maintain same bank account nos for different account id's?

    Hi Aravind
I too faced this kind of situation when i am dealing with multi cash format file
As far as i know when you are dealing with EBS, system will check account key and account number that is present in the bank file
Please check the entries in T012K table with bank key and bank account number
You should not have more than one entry with the combination and i am surprised that even though you have different bank key for the same account number you got this message..
I request you to check the T012K table entries and make sure that no duplicate entries exists with the bank key and bank account number combination

  • Bank Accounting

    Hi,
Can anyone please send the configuration settings for EBS and Manual Bank Statement. And also explain the difference between these two?
    Cheers

    hi,
    Please follow the steps......
1.The following are the steps for configuring manual bank statement:-
Step1: Create account symbols for the main bank and the sub accounts
Step2: Assign accounts to account symbols
Step3: Create keys for posting rules
    Step4: Define posting rules
Step5: Create business transaction and assign posting rule
Step6: Define variant for Manual Bank statement
    2.configure Electronic bank statement.
Step1: Create account symbols for the main bank and the sub accounts
Step2: Assign accounts to account symbols
Step3: Create keys for posting rules
    Step4: Define posting rules
    Step5: Create transaction type
Step6: Assign external transaction type to posting rules
Step7: Assign Bank accounts to Transaction types
After configuration manual bank statement ,then
you put the entries in T.Cod - FF67
    save ,then run SM35
    Detailed for MBS:
There are three basic steps to configure MBS
    1) Define Posting Keys and Posting Rules for Manual Bank Statement
    Path: spro->Ref IMG->Fin A/Cing->Bank A/Cing->Business Transactions->Manual Bank Statement->Define Posting reules for MBS
    2) Assign Business Transactions
In this step you store an indicator for each business transaction and allocate a posting rule to each business transaction. Several business transactions usually refer to the same posting rule.
    Example
To differentiate business transactions, you can assign different sub-tags viz. "Credit memo-domestic" "Credit memo-foreign" or " Credit memo-rent". Since posting is the same for these transactions, you can allocate all three to one posting rule (credit memo).
    Path: spro->Ref IMG->Fin A/Cing->Bank A/Cing->Business Transactions->Manual Bank Statement-> Create & Assign Business Transactions
    Account Determination
You then select the account determination and set up an account symbol for each posting transaction. Depending on various modification factors, account determination involves replacing the account symbol with an account to post to.
Account symbols are used to group together similar business transactions (e.g., check deposit) and direct them to different accounts according to a predefined differentiation. This facilitates flexible account determination when clearing accounts are posted to differently.
3)Define Variants for Manual Bank Statement
In this step you can create separate account assignment variants for the manual bank statement in order to adapt the arrangement and/or the selection of account assignment fields to your company-specific requirements. One variant is delivered as a default. It cannot be modified.
If you do not want to work with the standard variant, you can deactivate it. New variants must be activated after you create them.
    Path: SAP Menu-Accounting-Fin A/Cing-Bank-Incomings/Input -Bank Statement - FF67-Manual
    4) To post the statement
Path: Menu Item Bank Statement-Post-Individual statement
    5) Entering Clearing Cheques issued:
Give the bank key, bank a/c number, currency, statement date, conrol - Save & Post
    hope its useful,

  • Clearing of open items from one Bank Account to one or several customer A/C

The requirement herein is to do the Posting & clearing of open items from one Bank Account to one or several customer Accounts. We will have to use the Standard program RFBIBL00 to achieve this because the program can do the posting and clearing of open items. I know that we will have to use the structures BSELK (Header) & BSELP (item) to get the clearing functionality as well. Now the question is to which field we will map the Bank A/C No. and the Customer Clearing A/C. I need help on mapping the data to correct structure fields. I thought about it and I think the data should be arranged like the following:
    BGR00- Session Header
    BBKPF- Header
BBSEG- Doc. data (Bank Account BBSEG-BANKN )----Can you confirm ??
    BSELK-AGKON (Customer A/C- open item/ Header )
    BSELP - Line Item
    BSELK-AGKON (Customer A/C- open item/ Header )
    BSELP - Line Item
    BSELK-AGKON (Customer A/C- open item/ Header )
    BSELP - Line Item
I know that the clearing can happen from one Bank A/C to several customer accounts. I am thinking on building up data in this format & then writing it to a file to sumbit the file data to RFBIBL00. Can anybody help me in building up the data. Kindly provide your helpful insights. I want to be sure if this is correct or not ?? One more question how to fill the BSELP structure ??

  • Selecting alternative Bank account in Purchase invoice is not working

    Hello experts
When adding a particular purchase invoice, I select an alternative bank account for this vendor on Logistics tab. But when generating payment file for this invoice through Payment Engine, the bank account that can be seen on the file is the standard one for this vendor, so selecting an alternative Bank account in the invoice doesn't seem to have any effect on payment file. Do I have to consider something else?
    Regards

    Hello Nagarajan
Thanks for the update. But by checking it, I haven't been able to find anything regarding vendor bank account selection on invoice, or about paying an invoice to vendor secondary bank account.
Also I have done some testing, and the only way I have found so far to get a vendor invoice paid in the secondary bank account is to set this secondary bank account as the default bank account just before use Payment Wizard and Payment Engine. But this is a poor workaround and I guess there should be a way to make work properly the "Pay to Bank" functionality in invoice.
    Thanks and regards

  • One Bank account for Multiple company codes

Hello, Is it posible to have one Bank account assigned to mulitiple company codes ??
isn't it be a problem when we do BAI reconciliation.
Becuase all we get from bank is bank account number and transactions, and how reconciliation works in this situation if we had mulitiple company codes assigned to same bank account number.
Can you please suggest me, if this is possible at all.(assigned to mulitiple company codes).
    Thankyou.

Hi. For bank statement configuration you can only assign one bank account to one company code as mentioned by Akhil. The scenario you've described above is a pay-on-behalf process. If your payments are through AP, you create the bank account in the true legal entity and then when you configure the Company Codes (x,y, and z) in F110 payment program, then you set the Paying Company Code to be entity A. You don't need to configure the bank account in company codes x, y and z. When you run the AP payments, the system will know to check company A for the banking details. You will also be establishing an intercompany relationship with this so you would need OBYA setup as well. However, if you are trying to process payment requests, I do not think that the program adheres to this piece of config. It'll try to find the bank account in the respective company code's config. So sometimes in-house cash is implemented to this. hope that helps a bit.

  • Hide or Encrypt Bank Account Number

    Hey Guys,
The client has a requirement in FK03 to hide/encrypt the bank account number in the bank details table in the tcode FK03.
When using the transaction FK03, I am having a problem with hiding or encryting a user's bank account number.  When you execute the FK03 transaction, select a vendor and go to the next screen, you are then taken to the Payment Transactions Screen.  User bank account information is displayed on this screen.  I do not want the entire table hidden, but I am unable to hide or encrypt the bank account number.  I am unable to find any authorization objects to control this specific field.  Does anyone have suggestions on how to implement this?

If all users except the accounting department may not see the number, and the accounting department must be able to see the number from the standard transactions in this application area (e.g. FK03, XK02, etc), then you will be best off looking for an enhancement point via which you can add your own coding.
The easiest and least intrusive way in my opinion would be to find one which affects only the payment transactions screen but regardless of the transaction context, and if the user fails an authority-check of your own invention - then modify the internal table to replace the real number with a bogus one.
But remember that if the user can debug in display mode, then they will display the internal table before you modify it, unless you DEFINE it in a macro... (but that is again intrusive, and there still are ways).
If you choose the encrypt / decrypt route, then you will have to fight with the field types of the bank table and can still make the same mistakes... except that someone looking directly at the table via a data broowser will not see much either... (until they find the decryption function and run that).
Please also a take a look at [SAP Note 1257033 - Cookbook: Modification/enhancement for standard SAP system|http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1257033] before proceding with an enhancement.
