EC-CS Reclassification with Period selection

Hello Guys,
I have the following requirement into EC-CS: Reclassify an item for the values of the current year only (I need to treat differently the values from the previous year).
The period is not available into the reclassification Trigger and I don't want to use the EC-CS carry forward option, has any one of you a solution for me?

I want to reclassify the accounts based on a cumulative analysis excluding the amounts from the previous year: I have defined a quaterly consolidation frequency but I need to reclassify some accounts from périod '001' to the current period.
In your answer do you mean that selecting the "periodic reclassification" with the option "Annual statement" could work fine?

Problem with Period selection in PPOME transaction!

Dear All,
I have a very strange problem while selecting the time period in the PPOME transaction.
While selecting the "date and forecast period" option from the "settings" option in the menu bar, the time period in the preview the PPOME transaction must show as 3 months by default. But for my user ID when i select the preview period, the month field is displayed as blank and the end date is always defaulted to current date.
Is this time period coming from any configuration? I would like to know is there any way to by which we can change and save the time period settings.

Goto PE03->ABKRS in Change mode. You will be able to uncheck or check the fields.

Time Statement - Date Period Selection

Hi Experts,
In ESS portal->Time Statement link, we are having this situation.
When i change the "Date From" or "Date To", and clicked button "Display", \
the "Date From" will always how "Start date of current month",
and the "End Date" will show the "Current date".
Say,
Default date, as below
Date From | Date To
"01-Jan-2011" | "17-Jan-2011"
and i changed Date From to "04-Jan-2011", and clicked button "Display".
The "Date From" and "Date To" will be defaulted back to the original.
I am not sure if this is the normal behavior?

Problem with variable selections

Hi All
I am executing the report with period 46.2007-50.2007 . I am getting the result for this period.But if i run the report with same selections from 42.2007-50.2007, I am not getting the data.It says no applicable data found.
I am using interval as the option for variable .Could some one help on this?

Hello
According to your selection you should get the data.
check the both selection (46 - 50) and (42 - 50) in the LISTCUBE transaction.
if data available in both cases then problem may be with other restrictions.
If no user exits are in that variable try create one more variable as it is and then try by restricting with new variable.

No values when using key figure with constant selection?

Hi experts,
I have built a Webi on top of a universe that is sitting on top of a Bex query.
In my Bex query I have a bunch of key figures defined that are restricted on time and category.
This Webi works fine.
Then I added an additional key figure that required a constant selection on time and on category.
When I first added this to my Webi report it was fine. But once I refreshed my report showed no values.
The report still seems to know that it is meant to retrieve values because it is bringing back the correct records - just no values. (ie I am showing time in my columns and it's showing the correct periods that are meant to have data)
I refreshed a number of times and sometimes it would bring "#TOREFRESH" in some cells but once I refreshed again the cells are blank. Sometimes it would even show me a value in a couple of cells and others would show the "#TOREFRESH"
I went back to my Bex query and removed the key figure with constant selection and the report is working again?
Has anyone experienced something similar? Is there a way to make this work?

#TOREFRESH error message appears for smart measures (measure object with aggregation type Database Delegated) when the context for the measure is changed. Refreshing data will solve the issue. Database delegated measures are used for some non-additive aggregation which webi is not able to handle properly. If you are not using such aggregation, then tou can change the aggregation type to something other than database delegated to avoid #TOREFRESH.

Copy Function with Single selection of row

I want to copy necessary Planning items in my Input ready query from period 1 to remaining periods based on variable entries. To achieve this I have created a copy planning function to copy amount entered in period 1 (variable) to range of posting period variable entries (e.g. 2 -12 or 6-12).
I have created structure for GL accounts and I want to copy from period 1 to 2 - 12 for one row at a time.
I have created WAD template, I selected in behavior section of Analysis item, single with command option and assigned Planning sequence (consisting of copy function) as command.
On execution of WAD, I select single row in my input ready query and instead of one row getting copied over to the range of posting period, all rows consisting of Planning Items with amount are getting copied over, which I am not expecting with single selection option.
How can I have only one row getting copied over?
Am I am missing something?

Command: Execute a Planning Function -> In Data Binding -> Selection Binding -> Characteristic -> Planning Item -> Binding Type -> Item Characteristic -> Web Item Selection -> Item Binding -> Query (Analysis Item) -> Characteristic -> Planning item.
For Variable I have defined nothing.
Do you think my settings are correct?

Today defaulted as the Period selection

When displaying the Iview:com.sap.pct.hcm.rpt_objectselection.ivu it
currently defaults to "Today" as the Period Selection. Customer need this
defaulted to "Current Year".
We are using this iview as a Date and Personnel Number selection to run
a standard SAP (EE Absence Calendar report RPTABS50. Currently there
is no way to change the detaulted period selection of"Today".

Hi,
You should create a variant for the transaction code and save this variant in the reporting framework configuration.
Then when you run the Report, it will default to the option you wish to have.
See table T77MWBFCD, here you define a report and there is the optional "Variant" for the report to run with.

Delat with date selection ranage

I have a delta running for CCA data. The original Init was run for
[ 1/2005 - 7/2008 ] and now the deltas are forced to use the same selection. (or so it seems).
If I want to change the delta to include [ 1/2005 - INFINITY ] can I just do a re-init without data for [ 1/2005 - ' ' ]?
If I do this do I need to wait for when users are out of the system? Do I need to do any tasks in R/3?

Think of using the selection till 2099.
As the date is in Future that is 08/2008.. in this if u change the existing selection from 20005 to 2099 then u need to drain the Delta queue first as u are going to change the selections of the init here. And also u need to make sure that there shud not be any posting between the period from deleting the existing flag and then maintaining the new Init-without data transfer.
So there are chances of loosing the data here.. so we have one more option is that..
u can think of maintaining the new init for ur DS with new selection as 08/2008 to 12/2099.. so that there will be two delta loads will be loading ur targets every day.. and u can see 2 entries in the Delta queue as well.
Just thinking of the second option...
If u are thinking about the first option u have drain the Delta queue by extracting the data into BW. and also u need to take the downtime for atleast few minutes so that u wont loose any records.

How can i get all values from jtable with out selecting?

i have one input table and two output tables (name it as output1, output2). Selected rows from input table are displayed in output1 table. The data in output1 table is temporary(means the dat wont store in database just for display purpose).
Actually what i want is how can i get all values from output1 table to output2 table with out selecting the data in output1 table?

SSRS Report with mutli select values in parameters

Hi All,
I am creating a SSRS report and displaying the result in tablix. I want to make the report to filter by multi select values from the parameters.
I have 3 parameters. For all the three parameters, I have set "Default Values" and "Available Values". Also, modified my result dataset to get the values from parameters using "WHERE ID = @Parameter1" (example) and so
on..
3 Parameters types: 1. Yes or No
2. Date 3. Values with NULL in the DB
Problems:
1. When I am passing the default values "Yes" "No" - it is throwing errors because default values is passed as Yes "AND" No instead of "OR" condition. The value stored in the DB wil have either Yes or No but not both.
2. When I am querying the date values, it is a DateTime field in the DB. But I have queried like SELECT CONVERT(DATE, EXE_DATE) AS DATE FROM table which is giving only date in SQL but in SSRS displaying date with time.
3. When I pull the list of values for third Parameter from SQL, it has some NULL values. When I try to use it in SSRS, it is not displaying the NULL value as select option in the list of values
Any suggestions for the above three problems for SSRS with multi select values as filter will be helpful.

Regarding the three things:
1.) I believe your first parameter is mutliselect , please convert it to single select.
Steps:
a.) Select the parameter, right click and go to parameter properties
b.) Under General Tab in DataType section remove the checkbox for Allow Multiple Value.
2.) Instead of returning as the date please return string. For example :
SELECT CONVERT(VARCHAR, GETDATE(),101)

3.) As such there is no concept of null in SSRS. (Its a relational concept) . We do have nothing , which means empty. In Order to use null please select the Allow null option in the DataType section of the Parameter, This will add an checkbox for null in
the report preview. Its developer job to handle the null values in there query.

how do i take one layer with multiple selections and make those selections their own layer?

Yes sir. It w was really hard to explain. It is discontiguous segments that are separated by transparent areas. And I want those non transparent areas to be on their own layer. I have a photo shop file that has a bunch of buttons on them and they are on a transparent background. It is one layer. I want to select all the buttons and put them on their own layers. I can do this manually by selecting a button and cmd Just to a new layer, but when I have 200 buttons it is a daunting task.

I have first selection screen with parametre as a table name, then I have created dynamic selection screen as 2nd selection screen with different fields of that table as select options. This is done using genaration of dynamic report. Now If I click on button on this 2nd selction screen , then I want to replace this 2nd dynamic selection screen , with the other selection screen fields.
Can anybody guide me, How to do replace one slection screen with different selection screen.
and one imp thing is this selction screen is populating with dynamic fields on it.

As I can understand you want to make some of the screen field to disable or visible on screen depending upon the interaction of user with screen 1.

How to create a table with multiple select on???

Hi all,
I am new to webdynpro and my requirement is to create a table with multiple selection on.I have to add abt 10 rows in the table but only 5 rows should be visible and moreover a verticalscroll should be available to view other rows.Can anybody explain me in detail how to do that.Please reply as if you are explaining to a newcomer.Reply ASAP as i have to do it today.

1. Create a value node in your context name Table and set its cardinality to 0:n
2. Create 2 value attributes within the Table node name value1 and value2
3. Goto Outline view> Right click on TransparentUIContainer>Apply Template> Select Table>mark the node Table and it's attributes.

4.Set Selection Mode to Multi
5.Set Visible Row Count to 5
6.ScrollableColCount to 5
In your implemetaion, you can add values to table as follow:
IPrivate<viewname>.ITableElement ele = wdContext.nodeTable().createTableElement();
ele.setValue1(<value>);
ele.setValue2(<value>);
wdContext.nodeTable().addElement(ele);
The above code will allow you to add elements to your table node.
