HI,
I'm receiving this error in ecatt:
Start Procedure with Errors Terminated According to Start Options (V)
Error in eCATT function SAPGUI
Error in SAPGUI Command Occurred. Due to the Start Option Settings of the Error
Someone have an idea of what can be the error?

I am working with with ECATT error log, I want to make error log to appear more user friendly so that end user can understand it well.
so what i want is to capture main error message from error log and want to display in some spread sheet.

Hi
SAP users use CATT frequently to upload master data or to make changes to master data records. SAP Consultants and Abapers tend to use it for creating test data. The transactions run without user interaction. You can check system messages and test database changes. All tests are logged. The CATT records your keystrokes while performing the actual transaction. You then identify the fields that you wish to change in that view. Then export this data to a spreadsheet to populate with the data required. This is uploaded and executed saving you keying in the data manually.
To perform CATT, it has to be enabled in your production environment (your systems administrator should be able to do this - SCC4). You will also need access to your development system to create the CATT script.
The process of uploading data with a CATT:
Activate CATT in your client
In transaction code SCC4 - click the change button
Double click on the client number
In the Restriction section, tick Allows CATT processes to be started.
Upload data using CATT
1. Create Import variant for the fields you need
Transaction SCAT
Goto Parameters
Create Import Variant
Goto Variant -> Edit
Goto Variant -> Fast entry or F9
Duplicate 01
2. To change the MRP Group for a list of Material
Assuming that I want to change the MRP Group for a list of Material.
My text files should look something like this:
[Variant ID] [Variant Text] &ZDISGR &ZMATNR
--> Parameter texts MRP group Material
--> Default Values M1 A001
Changes to the default values displayed above not effective
#01 M1 A001
#02 '' A002
#03 M1 A003
Note : '' denotes a blank in the field. e.g. Material A002 MRP group will be replaced by a blank.
3. Configure the recorded entry fields to read from the imported text file data
In the CATT : Maintain functions test case Screen
Double click on the Object Name
Double click on the screen number with your desired fields
Park the cursor on the fields
Click Edit -> Details
Fill in the Parameters Name and Field Contents
Finish Save it.
Assign your text file data.
In the CATT : Execute test case Screen
Click External from file and choose your text file
CATT will now read from your text file and update whatever data you have specified.

Standard ecatt errors while uploading installation file

Hi,
Often this error occurs because the TIFF file you have has been saved with some form of compression. You need to open in a picture edit program and save as TIFF making sure options are set so there is no compression.

Ecatt error messages in Log while implementing Solution Builder

Hi all,
We are implementing SAP Best Practices using Solution Builder. During the solution builder set up, there is a step where we have to "Upload Installation Data". As per the step, i have downloaded the required BP_CRM_V1_2007_Installation_Data.zip file, unzipped it and uploading it from here. But its resulting in an error, and the log says something about ECATT/BCSET Objects. Has anyone faced a similar problem? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Capturing ECATT error messages in flat file

Hi Floks,
i captured what i am uploaded data in test script . i want cature what i am getting error log in test script that's i want to load in flat file .how can i fulfil this requirement let me get some idea on this .

Perhaps function module ECATT_LOG_GET_MESSAGE_LIST might be useful. If you call the function module with the log key (apparently identical to the number of the test configuration) using IM_ALL_MESSAGES = 'X' then it returns for each eCATT statement (e.g. FUN) the collected messages.

ECATT error CALL_TRANSACTION_USING_NESTED

We are suddenly having dumps when running eCATTs in all system.
What happened?
Error in the ABAP Application Program
The current ABAP program "SAPLSTTF" had to be terminated because it has
come across a statement that unfortunately cannot be executed.
Information on where terminated
Termination occurred in the ABAP program "SAPLSTTF" - in "CAT_TCD_CAL".
The main program was "SECATT_STARTUP ".
In the source code you have the termination point in line 301
of the (Include) program "LSTTFU08".

We applied Enhancement Pack 5 to ECC 6.0 in November. Suddenly we are also having issues with CALL_TRANSACTION_USING_NESTED.
The interesting part is our CALL TRANSACTIONs are not nested. They are sequential. This is some pretty old code so I'm suspecting it is the kernel.
SAP_BASIS is 7.02 support pack SAPKB70208.
SAP_ABA is 7.02 support pack SAPKB70208.

Ecatt error during IP04 run

Dear All,
I am finding one error in running the Esecatt
I have created template for creating Maintenance item for t code Ip04 ,By Secatt
I have created template as per std procedure in secatt
Like first creation of test script then creating test configuration
after creating the template we have entered the data
Now following error is giving while creating the secatt
Error in ecatt command TCD IP04
EIP328 Enter an order type
but we have already entered the order type as GPM (Generated prevetivte maint order type)
what could be the reason

ECATT - error in session start

Hello!
I have a problem with an eCATT procedure which is a part of a Best Practice for All-in-one installation. When I try to run the eCATT, I get the message
"Error in session start. Possible causes: 1. Scripting deactivated. Contact administrator. 2. User not logged on within 00:00:40 seconds. 3. Too many sessions open."
The message appears when the eCATT tries to run the script "/SMB99/SE09_J002_J02 - Create Customizing Request". I don't know is this general scripting error, or specific for this script.
I have SAP_BASIS release 620, support package level SAPKB62039. The user has SAP_ALL authorisations. I have the parameter "sapgui/user_scripting = TRUE", "Enable scripting" in "Customizing of local layout", and "eCATT and CATT allowed" set. I have only one session open.
I don't know what else could cause this problem. Could you, please, give me some suggestions on how to resolve this?

while to tranfer the data from the through if any errors occurs until the errors are the complete the data is not tranfer to the sap system.
the system compalsory shows the errors .that errors are stored into the error logs (Trasaction is SM35).
so the sesion method should not return any value.
in call trasaction method data is directly pass to the sap system.
so its compalsory return the value.
because of the call trasaction is the funtion.
a funtion should return the value madatory.

ECATT ERROR (Screen Simulator: wrong screen ID for simulation)

Error found in create ECATT for Equipment master ( IE01) , I followed the following step.
1.0 Run Transaction SECATT.
2.0 Given the name of the Test Script (TS) in Test Script input box. The Version input by default is with value 1.
3.0 In the Attributes ->General Data Tab, the value of the Component will be PM-EQM-EQ.
4.0 In the test script editor, choose the Editor tab. Choose Pattern button from the application toolbar.
5.0 The Insert Statement dialog box appears. Enter Group- UI ControFrom the Command Dropdown List, choose TCD (Record).
6.0 In the Transaction field, enter the transaction code (IE01) of the transaction that we want to record, and choose Enter.
7.0 The transaction starts recording. Work through the transaction as normal. When we leave the transaction, the system returns to the script editor with the Recording ended dialog box. Choose Yes to transfer the data.
8.0 Double click the Test Script editor with TCD command
Command interface display,
*Select DYNPRO MODE PROG & perform Simulator*
System issue Message-Screen Simulator: wrong screen ID for simulation data.
A TCD command and its associated Command Interface were not inserted in test script editor of SECATT.
Please help me to come out with this problem.

ECATT error message

Will anyone will suggest what is the error like, i have created 3 versions eventhen it is generating the same message.

I am not clear on your requirement. But what I understood form this is:
you are uploading data to the variants. If yes.
Then you download the variants from eCATT to desktop. and open with excel and save. But dont change the parameter positions. Just pass the data under the coloums and then upload.

and a file, VAR_ECTC_ZVK11_MGROUP.TXT

The error indicates that the input parameters in the input file is not matching with your input paramters in the test script.
Please try to download the input parameter format from the ecatt test configuration and input values in the text/excel file wihtout changing the format.

Ecatt error in production environment only

Hi,
I have created one E-CATT to upload booking for the course. This E-CATT is working fine in development and Quality environment.
However, in production system its giving error 'E-CATT error ATT377 control data is obsolete, rerecord (VERBS - Name: Create Object CATT: <none> Callno: 000001)
Please revert me why this error is occurring in production only.

Hi,
Please make sure that your production system has the same SAP support package levels as other systems. Otherwise, you may get this error.
Please also check SAP note 802475.

Ecatt Error in Control

Hi,
I have created an script which was running fine. but one day it started giving error " Error in Control" for SAPGUI and ATT377 Control data is obsolete in case of TCD recording.
Please give me some solution and save my life.

Error during RFC connection

Hi
I am trying to edit test partner script from eca script, but i am getting one error 'ecatt error ECATT_STORE_BLOB(2)
saving of blob denied for security reasons. you may not be in the edit mode of ecatt ' when i click on ok button it is telling error during RFC connection and whatever changes i made in test partner is not saved.
How to solve this problem. Please help me.

Is it working fine in the standalone mode?
Refer to the below checklist for trouble shooting:
1) Maintenance of DSN settings to the databases - TP_EDIT and TP_EXEC
2) Maintenance of R/3 connection parameters
3) Refer eCATT Security guide
4) Refer OSS note - 519858
Please note that for an integration Scenario, the connection and user information is required so that appropriate rights are established automatically.

Error "No Vendor specified"

Hi
I am new to ECATT... I wanted to record VA01.
1. I tried with SAP GUI(Record) when clicked Start recording I get this message "No vendor Specified"
2. then i tried recording using TCD recording... (VA01, VL01N, VF01)... I recorded the transaction VL01N (eNjoy transaction) it is working fine....what is the difference. ??
All the notes say that TCD cannot recognize eNjoy transactions but its working fine... Im confused
can anyone explain???

eCATT Error
ad 2. Enjoy SAP components are created on frontend computer (in oposition to standard screen elements), so this mechanism require special treating. If in your case everything works fine it means that in your test case you're not using EnjoySAP components and TCD is enough for your needs. For example on screen you can see ALV object and some standard screen elements. You can do changes to standard elements, but not to ALV.
