Please anyone can help me regarding eCATT.
How eCATT scripts can be used in Basis area.
Is it possible to use eCATT scripts in portal landscape? If it is possible please can you create a test scenario and demo it.

Hello,
Yes for few of the industries the eCATT's are shipped like in case of OIL industry . But this is a rear case.
Most of the time the eCATT's are not shipped and its used internally within SAP by the SAP test team to check for the correctness of the functionality and to perform regular regression runs. Reason as to why its not shipped is that once its shipped to the customer then there is a need to setup a seperate team for maintenance of the scripts which is a huge task.
Also the eCATTs created might not be applicable for all possible options of the transaction , it means it might not be reusable for all the conditions.
There are many more reasons.

Room part page occupying det. nav and portal content area..

I have created a room part from a custom created room-part template (say MyGoogle room part template). i have added a parameter called "search term". So, when creating a room, the user should enter a value in this parameter(say FLOWER) ... and the result.... should be..as follows:

Well! i have achieved this ...but, the problem is that.. the detailed navigation is going away and the google results page is occupying the entire area below TOP LEVEL Navigation.. (detailed navigation area & portal content area).. I want the resulting page to be displayed in portal content area only .. and the detailed navigation should be visible too(with room hierarchy and stuff) ..

BI content to view reports in BEx and Portal

Hi,
I want to install all the BI content related to Query and Reporting.
Can you pls help how to proceed with this like what and all I need to activate.
My requirement is to generate all the reports on 'Vendor Evaluation (from ERP) and 'Tender Evaluation (Bidding Engine) from SRM'..customers should see all the reports in the Netwever portal and as well as in BEx.
Pls help ..
Also I am quite confused with the words :Web Template & BEx web item and BEx web item and Web item..
To view the reports (in BEx and portal) which are extracted from ERP what and all we need to activate?

Windows 7 GPO Script - Enable file and printer sharing

Hello,
I'm trying to activate the Advanced File and Network sharing bia script (as there is no GPO option to do this)
The script is simple :
netsh advfirewall firewall set rule group="File and Printer Sharing" new enable=Yes
netsh advfirewall firewall set rule group="network discovery" new enable=yes
netsh advfirewall set currentprofile state on
in .bat and .ps1 it works fine when logged in to a computer with admin rights. I want to run this script on the computer level via GPO. The GPO applies properly, but the settings aren't changed. Any ideas on getting this to work?
Environment is the following :
DC is WinServ 2008 R2, test machines : Win 7 Pro x64
Test OU with Inheritance disabled, GPO for testing enforced with no other parameters apart from this Computer Startup script. User and Computer account are in the Test OU.
gpresult shows the GPO is applied, but no data is available under Computer or User configuration. the script is stored in the correct sysvol location.

Error " no portal roles are assigned"

hi experts,
i am getting Error while opening portal page with user J2EE_ADMIN
it is netweaver 2004ssr2.Error is "no portal roles are assigned".
and this user has role "sap_j2ee_admin"o
Just after completed installation i tried to open portal page.but this error i am getting.
Please help me.

Hi,
Please make sure it has super admin role and objects are added to role and define entry points and portal permissions are defined which enables the delegation of administrative tasks and content in the portal environment.

Hi,
1. You have to create a seperate desktop.
2. Inside the desktop, the framework which you are assigning will contain Desktop innerpage, Masthead and Top level navigation page.
3. You need to copy the desktop inner page and paste with different name (since it is a standard page)
4. Now open the custom desktop inner page and remove the iviews what ever you dont want.
5. So now your framework page will not have the detailed navigation anymore.
6. Then we need to set master rule collection to load this desktop for a specific role using if... then condition.
Finally the role will have only which ever the iviews you have selected in desktop inner page.

Simple Two Server Reverse Proxy and Portal Config?

Hi, I would like to create a very simple two box configuration to access Oracle Portal from the internet.
Web Cache would run as a reverse proxy for login.mycompany.com and portal.mycompany.com with two IP addresses in the DMZ.
The second server would run the Portal Mid tier, the Infrastructure tier and the oracle database.
Is this configuration possible? The enterprise deployment guide uses 6 servers to do this. Can this be done with 2?

I don't understand how all the ports map to different services when the infrastructure and portal tier are installed on the same server. But is the port 7777 in confllict? Is the Guide in section 9.2.6.1 using Port 7777 to connect to the web cache listening port?

Have been trying a bit more and found out how to access the chart to a certain extent. It seems to be possible the change the X-Axis Values via:
chart.axes(xlcategory).minimumscale
chart.axes(xlcategory).maximummscale
Are however not able to find values that really will show up, have tried numerous formats, and by using just simple numbers like for example 100 the code runs, but the X-axis values dissapears instead of changing.
The question is if it is at all possible to then also change the actual data in the chart to show the weeks that are entered. No use of changing the axis values without changing the data for the weeks as well. Have not been able to find anything about accessing
the data values, perhaps they are not accessible? From within MS Project it is not possible to Clock on the "edit source data" in the menu which appears when right clicking on the chart.
Any ideas are welcome.

Delete a table record with eCATT-Script and parameter - PROBLEM

I will write a eCATT, witch can delete one record in the table. In this case
it will be a material. The material to delete will be my input parameter.

For example i will delete the "Material 6". I give as parameter the name of
this material. ( I don't know the ID.)
How can i automaticly find the index of the table RECENT, where the naterial
"Material 6" to find is ?
Important is, that by the test executing i don't know how many index the
table RECET have and i don't know under which index "the Material 6" can be
found.
If i find the index of this table, my problem will be solved.
If you can answer that, it will be for me very helpful!

"With the basis release of Web AS 6.40, eCATT supports the direct testing of Web Dynpro-based applications. Both Web Dynpro for ABAP and for Java are supported."

Ideally, would like for the second Airport Extreme hard drive to appear on the list of devices in the Finder window.

The problem is network wise.. Yosemite is about equal to tin cans and string.. pathetic.
Here is my usual set of instructions to get anything working on Yosemite.
The best way to fix problems is a full factory reset of all the AE in the network.
Factory reset universal
Power off the AE.. ie pull the power cord or power off at the wall.. wait 10sec.. hold in the reset button.. be gentle.. power on again still holding in reset.. and keep holding it in for another 10sec. You may need some help as it is hard to both hold in reset and apply power. It will show success by rapidly blinking the front led. Release the reset.. and wait a couple of min for the AE to reset and come back with factory settings. If the front LED doesn’t blink rapidly you missed it and simply try again. The reset is fairly fragile in these.. press it so you feel it just click and no more.. I have seen people bend the lever or even break it. I use a toothpick as tool.
Then redo the setup from the computer with Yosemite.
1. Use very short names.. NOT APPLE RECOMMENDED names. No spaces and pure alphanumerics.
eg AEgen5 and AEwifi for basestation and wireless respectively.
Even better if the issue is more wireless use AE24ghz and AE5ghz with fixed channels as this also seems to help stop the nonsense.
2. Use all passwords that also comply but can be a bit longer. ie 8-20 characters mixed case and numbers.. no non-alphanumerics.
3. Ensure the AE always takes the same IP address.. this is not a problem for AE which is router.. it is a problem for AE which is bridged.. you will need to set static IP in the main router by dhcp reservations or use static IP in the AE which is tricky.
4. Check your share name on the computer is not changing.. make sure it also complies with the above.. short no spaces and pure alphanumeric..
5. Make sure IPv6 is set to link-local only in the computer. For example wireless open the network preferences, wireless and advanced / TCP/IP.. and fix the IPv6. to link-local only.
6. Now mount the disk of the second AE in finder... manually.
Use Go, Connect to Server and type in the AE ip address.
SMB://10.0.1.2
Where you will replace that address with the actual address. The network resource should be discovered and then it will request the password.. type that in and make sure you tick to save it in your keychain.
There is a lot more jiggery pokery you can try but the above is a good start.. if you find it still unreliable.. don't be surprised.
Do as much as you want of the above... not all of it is necessary.. only if you want it reliable.. or as reliable as Yosemite in its current incarnation can manage.
The most important thing is point 6.. mount the disk using direct IP address and not names.. dns in Yosemite is fatally flawed.

Elements 8 [Mac IOS 10.9]: 4 X 6" borderless printing -- top and bottom 1" are cutoff in Portrait and right and left 1 " are cutoff in Landscape

I am using Elements 8 [with a recently installed Mac IOS 10.9] and a new Epson Artisan 1430 printer . When I print 4" X 6" borderless photos, the top and bottom 1" are now cutoff in Portrait orientation and the right and left 1" are cutoff in Landscape orientation. I do not have the same problem printing from iPhoto. Epson tech support says this is not an Epson problem. Does anyone have any suggestions? Maybe I should just install Elements 12 and see if this might solve the problem. Any ideas?
