ECC 6.0 with NetWeaver Ehp 1 without Ehp 4

Hello
Is this combination possible?
ECC 6.0 with NetWeaver Ehp 1 without Ehp 4
Thank you very much!

That combination is not possible.  The information below is taken from http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/nw-70ehp1.

What is the implementation strategy for SAP Business Suite?
With the unrestricted shipment of enhancement package 1 for SAP NetWeaver 7.0, only implementations within standalone installations of SAP NetWeaver 7.0 are supported (e.g. for BI, EP, etc.).
For existing installations of SAP Business Suite systems (i.e. SAP ERP 6.0, SAP CRM/SRM/PLM, ...) etc.) that are based on SAP NetWeaver 7.0, the SAP enhancement package 1 for SAP NetWeaver 7.0 shall not be installed separately, as it will result in malfunctioning of the installation procedure and/or the final system state.
Business Suite 7 (generally available since May 5th, 2009) is technically based on the SAP enhancement package 1 for SAP NetWeaver 7.0. All relevant parts of enhancement package 1 for SAP NetWeaver 7.0 are included in the respective SAP Business Suite 7 installation routines and will be installed automatically underneath the SAP Business Suite systems when an upgrade to SAP Business Suite 7 is performed. More information is available in this overview presentation, more details can be found at the service marketplace quick- link /ERP-EHP (SMP login required).
General note on the relation of enhancement packages for SAP Busiess Suite and SAP NetWeaver:
Customers who have implemented certain enhancement packages for SAP Business Suite might have to implement a certain enhancement package for SAP NetWeaver 7.0 as well. Please refer to the respective documentation of the SAP Business Suite for details.

We are planning an upgrade from BW 7.0 to BW 7.40, but the ERP is currently in version 6.0 without EHP, I searched notes related to ERP impact and have not caught anything.
    Plz any idea?
    Best regards.

Yes there will be support issue - however technically it will work as long as you have equivelent PI_BASIS SPS level ( since BW adapter are part of PI-BASIS). This scenario will be applicable if do not have SEM-BW and FI-BASIS kind of component. Please check the following matrix for equivelent SP level

  • Material warranty in ECC 6.0 with EHP 4

Till previously, warranty is limited to equipment and FLOC but with EHP 4 material warranty is also included. This I heard from SAP trainer. If any body worked in ECC 6.0 with EHP 4 has this feature, please let me know how it works and send any links to doc. Our requirement is like this. We are using Fleet management and some parts of the Fleet are under warranty. Parts are coded as Material. There are other ways to address the issue using enhancements. i would like to know if this issues is addressed in EHP 4.
Thanks In advance for your help.

    Hi Denis,
You can install EHP7 for ECC6. You should 1st check Service Market place for PAM(product availability matrix) for combinations of DB and OS. You should understand your usage type and learn more about SWP/SUM/740 kernel/System Preparations and other knows prerequisites

  • Requirements for using SAP Kernel 7.20_EXT, e.g. with ERP 6.0 EhP 6

    Dear community,
we want to bring your attention to the important fact that upcoming SAP product releases and Enhancement Packages, like SAP ERP 6.0 EhP 6 and other members of the BS7i2011 release of SAP Business Suite 7, will use the new 7.20_EXT kernel. As we are using fully supported third party software when building this version of the 7.20 kernel, kernel 7.20_EXT allows us to safely support our customers in the upcoming years. Our updated build environments make SLES 11 Service Pack 1 and RHEL 6 the minimum Linux versions allowing you to run SAP Kernel 7.20_EXT. Please take this prerequisite into account when implementing projects that require or allow you to use SAP Kernel 7.20_EXT.
You can find more information here:

SAP Product Availability Matrix for SAP NetWeaver 7.0
Or directly access the PAM for SAP NetWeaver 7.0 EhP 3  (page 4).
In case of questions, please feel free to contact us by a mail to linux[at]sap.com as well.

  • Slipstream 2.0  functionalities in SAP  NetWeaver 7.3  EHP 1

    Hi Experts,
i read about [slipstream 2.0|http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TOdlYJw7WYc]. I ask one of the developers for a demoversion,
but he told me, that SAP will inculde the funcionalities in SAP BPM. Some of it in NetWeaver 7.31 ( but he couldn't concretize).
The ramp up of 7.31 is planned in Q4 2011.
Does anybody know which are the functions that comes with NetWeaver 7.31?
Specially i'm interested in process monitoring / BAM, process analytic capabilities.
    Thanks
    Kai

    Hi Christian,
    many thanks for your answer.
Do you know whats SAPs definition of BAM, i know BAM as Business Activity Management.
But SAP writes it out as Business Activity Monitoring. I guess it's not the same.
    Did you heard more details?
    Thank you,
    Kai

  • SAP Netweaver Mobile 7.1 on SAP ECC 6 or SAP Netweaver 7.02

    Dear,
Just want to make sure of these :
    1. Is it true that SAP Netweaver Mobile 7.1 only available for SAP Netweaver 7.x ?
    2. Is it true that I will never be able to have SAP Netweaver Mobile 7.1 on my current SAP ECC 6 EHP 5 (SAP Netweaver AS 7.02) ?
    3. If no. 2 is true, it means I must purchase new license in order to have SAP Netweaver Mobile 7.1. Is it true ?
    4. If no. 3 is true, it means I must maintain 2 instance of SAP Netweaver AS, SAP Netweaver AS 7.02 for my ECC 6 and SAP Netweaver AS 7.3 for my SAP Netweaver Mobile 7.1. Is it true ?
    Thanx Guys,

    Hello,

  • Performance issue after Upgrade from 4.7 to ECC 6.0 with a select query

    Hi All,
There is a Performance issue after Upgrade from 4.7 to ECC 6.0 with a select query in a report painter.
This query is working fine when executed in 4.7 system where as it is running for more time in ECC6.0.
Select query is on the table COSP.
    SELECT (FIELD_LIST)
INTO CORRESPONDING FIELDS OF TABLE I_COSP PACKAGE SIZE 1000
            FROM  COSP CLIENT SPECIFIED
            WHERE GJAHR IN SELR_GJAHR
              AND KSTAR IN SELR_KSTAR
              AND LEDNR EQ '00'
              AND OBJNR IN SELR_OBJNR
              AND PERBL IN SELR_PERBL
              AND VERSN IN SELR_VERSN
              AND WRTTP IN SELR_WRTTP
              AND MANDT IN MANDTTAB
            GROUP BY (GROUP_LIST).
       LOOP AT I_COSP      .
         COSP                           = I_COSP      .
         PERFORM PCOSP       USING I_COSP-_COUNTER.
         CLEAR: $RWTAB, COSP                          .
         CLEAR CCR1S                         .
       ENDLOOP.
    ENDSELECT.
I have checked with the table indexes, they were same as in 4.7 system.
What can be the reson for the difference in execution time. How can this be reduced without adjusting the select query.
Thanks in advance for the responses.
    Regards,
    Dedeepya.

    Hi,
ohhhhh....... lots of problems in select query......this is not the way you should write it.
    Some generic comments:
    1. never use SELECT
                       endselect.
       SELECT
      into table
       for all entries in table
      where.
use perform statment after this selection.
    2. Do not use into corresponding fields. use exact structure type.
    3. use proper sequence of fields in the where condition so that it helps table go according to indexes.
        e.g in your case
              sequence should be
    LEDNR
    OBJNR
    GJAHR
    WRTTP
    VERSN
    KSTAR
    HRKFT
    VRGNG
    VBUND
    PARGB
    BEKNZ
    TWAER
    PERBL
sequence should be same as defined in table.
Always keep select query as simple as possible and perform all other calculations etc. afterwords.
    I hope it helps.

    Pranaya

  • Enterprise Portal bundled with Netweaver in ERP6.0 - runtime only?

    Hi,
We are trying to get PBNW certification for our  product, which means we must get XI-CNT and EP-BP certification. In order to get EP-BP, we need to at least develop iViews for EP. We have been told that EP is bundled with NetWeaver that is delivered with ERP6.0. I am assumeing that this is only a "run-time" and not a development environment (i.e. would not contain tools such as Visual Composer).
Am I correct in this assumption, and that we need to purchase the EP Development environment seperatel?
    Thanks in advance,

    Hi Sudhakar,
For SAPUI5 you can go ahead with Portal 7.3 and ECC 6.0 EHP3.
Refer SAP note 1747308 - Installation Guide UI development toolkit for HTML5 (SAPUI5)
    for installation pre-requisites and steps.
Now for external facing portal & transaction iView can you please elaborate the requirement
    Hope this helps.

  • CA-JVA on  the upgrade 46C to ECC 6.0 (with HR module)

    Hi experts,
We have now finished the upgarde but ne things make me feel not good:
    In SAP  Note 316815 - CA-JVA: Upgr. R/3 Enterprise / ECC- data transfer AFVC->AFVU
I think the transfer of those tables has not been worked fine.
And it seems that the implementation of this note does not woks at all. I mean to transfer of the Tables (AFVC to AFVU and VSAFVC_CN to VSAFVU_CN) before the upgrade and transfer them back after the upgrade.
Currently we have now both systems running: The Source system (the production system where the data comes from with release 4.6C) and the pilot system which has been upgraded in release ECC 6.0 (with source system data).
Is there any possibily to recover this step without to repeat the all upgrade (after a DB copy of course)?
    Maybe export those tables?
    Thanks in advance
    HanseAtik

I have to close it.. without answer from anyone...

  • Netweaver EHP2 without ERP EHP5

    Hi all,
I am planning to upgrade my ECC6.0 system, but only to Netweaver EHP2 without upgrading to ERP EHP5. Is that possible/recommended?
The reason is that we are only interested in the BRF plus capability, and not the rest of the EHP5 options.

    Hi Gordon,
    The is not possible unfortunately.
However, there are customers that install BRFplus on another server in their landscape and connect it with ERP. By this way they do not need to upgrade ERP. We are currently adding capabilities to support this connection out of the box in a way that BRFplus can "see" data and metadata from the connected system (ERP) and deploy the code into the connected system (ERP) for local rules execution.
    BR,
    Carsten

  • Send/Receive IDOCs (XML) from/to SAP R/3 with XI-SOAP without XI!

    Dear SAP specialists,
(BACKGROUND) We are using the Microsoft BizTalk Adapter for SAP 1.0, developed on top of the SAP DCOM Connector (we are using the version 6.20 Patch Nr. 177), with Microsoft BizTalk Server 2002 SP1 in order to send and receive IDOC via the tRFC transport protocol. We are using the Microsoft BizTalk Adapter for SAP 1.0 since February 2002, and today we are exchanging more than 25,000 IDOC/day with this architecture.
When we migrate our SAP R/3 system to the version 4.7 with WAS 6.20, I was very enthusiastic about the possibility of sending the IDOC in XML via the standard HTTP transport protocol, because it would considerably simplify my architecture, i.e. no need of any (expensive) adapter any more! But, I had to realise that the quality of service exactly once will not be there anymore with HTTP as it exists with tRFC. Then, we carry on using the tRFC transport protocol with the adapter.
(QUESTION) But recently, I followed the SAP Course TBIT40 XI Foundations and I learn that:
    1.     On one hand, the XI-SOAP protocol supports the quality of service exactly once by the usage of a message GUID within the XI-SOAP envelope;
    2.     On the other hand, all mySAP solutions using WAS 6.20 (or higher) carry a “small” Integration Engine (with XI-SOAP as the “native” transport protocol).
Then, my question is: << Is it possible to exchange IDOC (XML) directly with an SAP R/3 4.7 (WAS 6.20) via the XI-SOAP transport protocol using the “small” Integration Engine embedded into it, with the quality of service exactly once? >>
Many thanks in advance and best regards,
    Patrice Krakow

    Hello Patrice
We have same issue. Is it possible to use IDoc (XML) directly with SAP 5.0 with SOAP (HTTP) without XI?
Since your que is three years old, I'm sure you must have found some method for this.
    We'll highly appreciate your help.
