ECC6 install Linux_X86_64 for Oracle fail at step Configure Oracle Network
Deal all,
When I finished the Oracle installation and Patch updates(Oracle version is 10.2 from SAP and also Patch from SAP), I press "ok" to continue to install it from the GUI but the error message pop up.
"OracleNetworkConfigurator.doServerNetworkConfiguration:Argument listenerOraTemplate must point to an existing file...) you may...
Then I check the detail log for more information:
CJS-00030 Assertion failed:OraNetworkConfigurator.doServerNetworkConfiguration::Argument listenerOraTemplate must point to an existing file...)
FCO-00011 The step doNetworkConfigurationServer with Step key.....
the later information still like ::Argument listenerOraTemplate must point to an existing file...
How should I do ? What's the reason? But when I install Oracle 10.2, there also several errors but ignored by me. Is there any relationship between them?
Anyone can help me? Thank you!
Regards
Martin.My Friend,
Refer the below directions, when I install, I document these steps. I am sharing for you....to help

Difference between NetWeaver 2004 and NetWeaver 7.0 or 7.1
I am little confused and curious to know the recent changes happening in SAP.
Can you please tell me the differences between NetWeaver 2004 and NetWeaver 7.0 or 7.1
NetWeaver 2004 is named because SAP has released it in 2004
and then we have XI 3.0, XI.7.0(that is PI right) , EP6.0 etc as individual components have different versions released in NewtWeaver suite.
But what is this NetWeaver 7.0.
We have EE5 or ECC6 and WebAs 6.4 or GUI 6.4 or recently GUI 7.o or WebAs 7.0.
How does all these differe, is individual component of NetWeaver upgraded with higher versions or total NetWever is upgraded with a higher version.
Can any one please tell me the exact difference between versions.
If some one has ECC6 installed in their environment does it mean that they have Netwaver components like XI, EP, MDM.. etc are installed or its only R/3, BI etc...
How it works exactly?
Thanks,
Kiran.Pretty much everything is explained in here:
<a href="https://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/706005a3-3bd6-2910-91ae-a2016239bdcf">SAP NetWeaver Process Integration 7.1 Overview of New Capabilities</a>
I think there's a weblog with a concise list somewhere, but I dont have the link saved.
Hope that helps.

Hi all,
I have to make a BI demo to convince my collegues to migrate from Business object to BI. At the moment i can't ask someone to install me a dedicated BI server so i'm working on my developpement ECC6 server. This ECC6 install was a standard one, without BI content add on. I've installed the 7.1 sapgui with BI add on for business explorer on my workstation. RSA1 modelling works fine : i've been able to design and load an infocube. I can also create queries. The principal problem i have is that the Bex analyser doesn't work : Excel is launched with a BI button bar but nothing append when i click on "open query" or on "open a connection" buttons. The way i launch it has no effect (RRMX, menu).
The problem is not due to security level on Excel because i put in on the lower level without success.
I'm not sure JAVA usage type is installed on the server. Could it be the explanation ? How can i see on the serveur if a JAVA usage type is running ? Is it possible to use the web analyser without JAVA and PORTAL usage type ?
Does someone know how to help me ?
Thank 's a lot for your help.
JeanBI Java is required to used the web analyzer. BEx (Excel) does not.
BEx does have an installation check tool in it, perhaps something is not installed on your PC that is needed. -
Doubt about diference between SAPconsole and SAPmobile
Hello,
I have been many doubts about diference between sapconsole and sapmobile, if anyone could help me I appreciate.
1) I have ECC6 instaled, the SAP Mobile is compatible with ECC6 or I need of Netweaver Instaled ?
2) If Possible to Install Sap Mobile in ECC6 , I have to Buy a license of sap mobile ?
3) in any product instaled Windows CE have possible to install sap mobile ?
4) In sap console what is the requirement for to do this configuration?
I Anybody to know about this informations please explain for me ?
ThanksMy apology,
The Basic Diference beteween SAPConsole and SAPMobile is :
SAPConsole ==>
1 ) Don' t need a new Hardaware for to configurate
2 ) Only need a Machine with the IIS service installed
3 ) The SAPGui CD content the SAPCOnsole.exe for configuration
4 ) The equipment like Pocket and datacolletor has been to configurated in a Network( but if to have a entrance in the SAPGUi indicate a SAProuter in another factory is possible to have acesses.. ) is a mandatory. Cause the SAPCOnsle folow the SAPGUI entrances and need a LAN or a WAN configurated.
Advantage
simple to congurated and chip.
Easy to create to new window cause the SAPConsole only plubish this window in Browser.
Disadvantage
Need a lincense for each Poket or Datacolletor, wherever the equipment you will use.
Doesn't have a Database using through Browser (IE6 or IE7) this way , during the processes lost network you go to lost the information not saved.
SAPMobile
1 ) Need the a good Machine with a instance of SAP configurate
2 ) Have to found the EXE in the MarketPlace
3 ) is not publish, and yes a client with the database configurate in equipment
4 ) The equipment like Pocket and datacolletor has been to configurated in a Network
Advantage
Need only one SAP License, doesn't metter how many equipment in use you have.
As the SAPMobile has a Database in the client , if you lost the network it goes to save in the local database and when the network come back , it will to synchronize. This way you don't need to work online every moment, you get to synchronize after.
Disadvantage
You profit in license is your lost in the Machine cause the price of Machine is expensive.
is configurate only in windows Mobile.
The window only can be create for a Developement and not in the SAP, have been created in windows Mobile.
A tip, the both is good but you can do a simple mathematics.
In the SAPConsole how much money you go to spend is the least of the Machine s Price.
If yes confurate the SAPConsole , if not configurate the SAPMobile -
Error by Step 'Import ABAP' (SolMng 7.01 MaxDB/Linux 64bit)
Hello
I'm Installing the Solution Manager on Red Hat 5 (Linux x86_64) with MaxDB 7.7.
The installation stops by the step "Import ABAP".
Using the User <sid>adm I get:

/usr/sap/SM0/SYS/exe/run/R3load: END OF LOG: 20110108224646
This is exactly the same error as in the installation protocol.
The error is similar to
ECC6 Install Error at "Import ABAP" step
but on Linux and not on Windows.
I also installed the latest R3load, but I get the same error.
Any hint would be appreciated.

We have typical DV1-> QS1-> PR1 landscape (ECC6) installed on window 2003 server with SQL Server as backend.
We also have high availibility system HA1 which is coupled with PRD with SQL transaction log.
We patched kernel of DV1 server from level 159 to 201. Also applied plugin ST-A/PI and ST-PI, and patched SPAM and SAINT .
Moving forward we are planning to first apply this kernel patch to HA1 server before patching PR1.
For that we will first bring HA1 live, apply the kernel patch and then again put it in sync with PR1 .
Following are my concerns :
1> Do I need to apply plugins ST-A/PI and ST-PI, and patch SPAM and SAINT on HA1 server or will it be automatically transferred from PR1 as part of SQL Transaction Logs.
2>After patching kernel on HA1 will there be any problem making database in sync with PR1 (as PR1 will still be at level 159).
Regards,
Pawan.Hello,
You need to apply support packs (ST-PI etc.) & kernel patches on PR1.
Since there's just one database (usually on a shared storage), you don't need to repeat any of these activities on the second node.
Thanks,
Saba.

Thanks for your reply.
We have followed the same as per the note #870652 - especially for the file permissions.
We have downloaded the latest sapinst and tried the same but no luck. Please find the trace for further understanding.

After searching in SDN, I got one solution. That is to download MIGMON.SAR from smp.
It could be silly but can any one please help me in downloding this from smp? Bcoz, I searched but I could not find it.
Kindly let me know the complete path of it.
Thanks and Regards,
FaisalTry the following
http://service.sap.com/patches
--> Search for Support Packages and Patches
Enter "migmon" in the search field.
Make sure you download the correct one (for 7.00, not for 7.10).

Error when installing IDES ECC6 on Windows 2008
Hi Experts,
I'm now trying to install IDES ECC6 SR2 on Windows 2008. However, I'm stuck at the very beginning of the installation - Oracle cannot be installed. I always get error which says something like program stopped due to exception, internal error ...
The JVM I'm using is jre 1.4.2-19.
Any suggestion?
Thanks a lot!!
Best,
RogerHi,
On windows server 2008, you cannot install oracle 10.2.0.1.0 and then patche that to 10.2.0.4.0. But u need to install the RDBMS 10.2.0.4.0 directly. This DB software is available in the oracle failsafe DVD.
Regd the JDK, it is better to go with JDK version 1.4.2.24 or 1.4.2.25.
BTW: I hope the OS u r using is not windows server 2008 R2(R2 is not yet supported by SAP)
Hope this clarifies.

IN IMPORT ABAP PHASE I GOT AN ERROR. I HAVE DONE ALL THE PREVIOUS SUGGESTIONS WHICH WERE GIVEN BY EXPERTS AND I GOT THAT SAME ERROR ONCE AGAIN SO IAM POSTING THESE DETAILS TO GET THE CORRECT SOLUTION. -
Install IDES ECC6- Abap Import phase error
Hi all,
I have seen many post on this error but I have not still understood why it happens.
I have tried to install an IDES ECC6 on Windows 2003S 32 bit with 4gb of RAM on a VMWARE virtual machine.
I have done all the preparation steps:
1) adjust network performance
2) set virtual memory as the installed RAM + 8GB
3) set the HOSTS file with the IP address
4) installed Java SDK with JAVA_HOME environment variable
I have installed Oracle (delivered with the kit) and the patch and then started the SAPINST (under I386).
In the APAB Import phase all the tasks (1 from 19) are stopped since Oracle is no more available.
All the posts suggest to enlarge the shared_pool_size.
But why this happens ?
The install procedure should work without any Oracle parameter modification.
Any idea ?
Thank
AndreaHi
Try increasing your shared pool size
login to database level
sqlplus "/as sysdba"
>show parameter shared_pool_size;
if the value is some thing aroung 150 to 200 MB increase it to 250MB
>alter sytem set shared_pool_size=250M scope=both;
Hope this will solve your problem
Regards
Uday -
In linux install ECC6 + MAXDB error, please look at the help, thank you

Hi All
i am trying to install ECC6.0 and i face the following error during central instance installation.

I did find a solution to this problem on the Internet which tells us to increase the SAG_MAX_SIZE. I did try to set this parameter at the OS level in INIT<SID>.ora from 321807974 to almost double and tripple this size. The thing is i donot know what exactly this size should be set too.
My system config is
RAM - 2Gb, Hard Drive-500Gb in three partiotions(20,120,340).
Virtual Memory- Initial is 2046 final is 4024.
Os- Windows 2003
Jdk version is j2sdk1.4.2_13
Db is Oracle 10g
Could any try and help me out with this error.
Thanks in advance.Hello Bharani,
This could be any number of problems. First of all you need to consult the logs referenced in the sapisnt log,
import_monitor.java.log
import_monitor.log.
These logs will tell you whihc tabbart is failing, and you then need to check the associated logfile for that tabbart, for example it could be sapappl.log or sapslexc.log.
These logs will provide you with detailed information as to why the tabbart is not loading correctly.
Kind Regards,
David
