I'm searching for whole set of memory recommendation for ECC6 on win server 2008 64bit unicode database oracle. But I couldn't find it. If anyone know and got sap note on that maybe can share with me.
Also if someone got any information on memory recommendation for ECC6 on win2008 database MAXDB 7.6.

The amount of memory needed is distinguished by
- number of users
- estimated size of the database
- wanted throughput
For that purpose you use the quicksizer (http://service.sap.com/quicksizer) together with your hardware vendor. The outcome is a number of SAPS. You hardware vendor will offer you a machine capable to handle your workload.

Use the default parser.
By default, WebLogic Server is configured to use the default parser and transformer to parse and transform XML documents. The default parser and transformer are those included in the JDK 5.0.
The built-in WebLogic Server DOM factory implementation class is com.sun.org.apache.xerces.internal.jaxp.DocumentBuilderFactoryImpl.
The DocumentBuilderFactory.newInstance method returns the built-in parser.
DocumentBuilderFactory dbf = DocumentBuilderFactory.newInstance();

How to pass the whole set of values of a shuttle item in AJAX

Hi,
I am trying to pass the value of shuttle item to a dynamic process using Ajax. But if I use shuttle_right, I am able to get only the first selected value. If I simply give shuttle it returns null.
Please let me know How I can get the whole set of values separated by ':'

Hi,
We are using some third party software which will connect to the oracle database.
One of the requiremebnts it states is that both the databse client and server must use the Unicode character set e.g UTF-8.
How do we ensure this when installing the oracle client software.
Also, why when install orcale client software and select language as English does it put NLS_LANG as American by default.
Is there an English U.K language option - couldn't see it.

4.7EEx1.10 to ECC6.0 upgrade and Unicode conversion

Hi Experts,
We are going to initiate the upgrade from next month onwards. Subsequently i have started preparing the plan and strategy for the same.
As our current setup is 4.7EEx110/Win 2003 R2-64 bit/Oracle 10.2.0.4.0 (Non unicode). And we have recently migrated on to this setup from WIn2k 32 bit. Also the current hardware is Unicode compatible.
With respect to strategy for achieving this Upgrade and Unicode conversion, i am planning as follows.
Step 1) Perform Unicode conversion on the current landscape (Both Export/import on the same servers)
Step 2) Setup Temporary landscape as part of Dual maintenance strategy and migrate data from the current systems to temporary systems using backup/restore method.
Step 3) Perform the SAP version upgrade on the current landscape and setup transport routes from temporary to current landscape in order to keep it in sync
Step 4) after successful upgrade, decommission the temporary landscape
Please provide your suggestions and valuable advices if there is anything wrong with my strategy and execution plan.

Thanks. As i have already referred these notes as i am seeking advise with respect to my upgrade approach.
However i have planned to perform in the following manner.
1) Refresh Sandbox with Prod data and perform Upgrade to ECC6.0 EHP5 & subsequently Unicode conversion on the same server (Since both export & Import has to perform on the same hardware as we have recently migrated on this hardware which is Unicode compatible)
2) Setup temporary landscape for DEv & QAs and establish transport connection to Production system in order to move urgent changes
3) Keep a track of the changes which have transported during upgrade phase so that the same can be implemented in the upgraded systems i.e. Dev & QAS
4) After Sandbox Migration and signoff, we will perform Dev & QAS upgrade & unicode conversion on the same hardware (Note: Since these are running on VMware can we export the data from the upgraded system and import on to a new VM?)
5) Plan for production cutover and Upgrade the Prod system to ECC6.0 Ehp5 and then Unicode conversion. As i am planning to perform upgrade over the weekend and then Unicode conversion activity in the next weekend (Is it a right way?)
My Production setup: DB on one Physical host and CI on separate Virtual host
6) After the stabilization phase, we are planning for OS & DB upgrade as follows:
a) Windows upgrade from 2003 R2 to Windows 2008 R2
b) Oracle Upgrade from 10.2 to 11.2
If anyone thinks that there is anything wrong with my above approach and need changes then please revert.
I have one more doubt as I am going to upgrade 4.7EEx110 (WAS 620, Basis SP64) to ECC6.0 EHp5.As I presume that I can straight away upgrade from the current version to ECC6.0 Ehp5 without installing EHP. Kindly confirm

Can anyone show me how to input unicode character set from form 9i. I have designed a form and run it but when I input unicode charater in TEXT ITEM on form (FONT_NAME of this TEXT ITEM is New Roman, AriaTime l ...), but it display incorrectly nor stored it in Database.

I have a server essbase mounted on a W2K8 64bit VM with 16GB of memory, and I have two applications unicode when I run an application on the restructuring of my outline and my calculations it consumes me all 24GB of RAM.

What is the best set up you recommend ?

Hi guys, I had a quick question, I want to know the best set up you recommend. I attend a small church and they have four wireless mic and one mic that is not wireless, majority of the time they just use the one mic that has a cord. They want me to help them upgrade their audio system, they currently have a 6 channel amp and some great sounding speakers. I was going to suggest they get a imac and we run garage band and either use their current amp or get a new inexpensive mixing board, with their current amp or the mixing board I know we will need some type of 3.5mm adapter to plug it into the computer. We would like to record the church sermons as well as load all the church music that are on CD's into the mac and make play list and play those from i-tunes. What do you guys suggest ? I am very familiar with mac and I do a lot of video with FCP and motion, but not much with Audio, I do know soundtrack pro, would that be better to use ? I would like a setup where we can do as much as possible from the computer like open and close mics and adjust mic levels, if not then I can do that from the amp or mixing board with no problem, thanks

What you appear to be describing is sending a stereo track to GB on a Mac using the Mac's built-in input.
There are three issues I see with your system.
One you are limiting it to a stereo track. Using the Mac's built-in input with a 3.5mm plug. And have no way to control individual mic levels from the Mac.
However, you could have the possibility of recording multiple tracks, individual level control and ability to mix those tracks inside of GB or another DAW and a much better sounding recording by adding an audio interface to your setup. Which I believe is the missing ingredient to reach you goals.
Something like a Presonus interface with 8 mic pre's should work fine.
So you would run all church mic's into the interface and record inside of GB and run the analog output from the interface into the amp. Amp to speakers.
However, although I wouldn't have a problem with that setup...you are relying on hard drives and software and a human running it...so there is a dependability factor to consider comparatively.
You may be fine just getting a 2 track digital recorder hooked up to the output of the mic preamp you already have. And transporting that to the Mac later....?
Dunno what you needs are exactly so I can't say....

DO I need to set virtual memory with SSD on my X201s?

I am using X201s with OCZ SSD and 8GB RAM.
I thought I don't need to set virtual memory since I am using an SSD.
I also run VM on this tiny box that would take 2.5GB of RAM.
When I am running VM, there is almost not available memory left on the machine. Should I reopen virtual memory?

F5 brings me a whole set of unwanted tabs and all I want is refresh.

I have set Firefox to open a few home page tabs on startup. When I go to refresh any one of those pages I get whole other set of the tabs open, and the page itself does not refresh.
I cleared the cache. Still happens.
I uninstalled ALL plugins and re-cleared cache - same.
I uninstalled Firefox, deleted the folder it installs into and reinstalled FF10. Same!
I started Firefox in safe mode. Same.
This had been happening in FF9 and now FF10.
I'm an experienced user but out of ideas.

Photoshop CC 64bit Freeze whole System Win7 64bit Pro

houston i have a problem!
my photoshop freezes during work. when photoshop freezes then is the whole system freezed only an reset help to boot and try again. the freezes startet 3 day ago and comes ONLY in photoshop!
i tried diferent applications to check out what kind of issue it could be but other CC Apps, Rendering Apps or Gaming with Heavy System Load theres no Problem. I work with the Photosho 64bit Version

Because text can occur in so many ways (in text boxes), there is no way to globally select and change all text at once. You will have to apply the change to each slide separately.
Use Format > Copy Style (Option-CMD-C) to copy the text font you like then and select the text to be changed and Format > Paste Style (Option-CMD-V) to change the text font. Once you get the rhythm of it, you will find it is fairly quick.
