Echo and delay

we have received complains from our endpoints user that they are experiencing echoes and delay for their CIPC and IPT. What is the common cause of this problem? which device in the voice architecture need to check or investigate? what is the best approach in handling and giving resolution for this kind of problem? thanks.

If the call is going through the gateway, you may want to check out this doc I wrote up a bit back. It will help you narrow down the problem for PSTN calls.
Most of the CIPC users are home or teleworker types, and the most common place to look is the 800 series router that is commonly at home. You'll want to enable hierarchical QoS to shape towards the provider's speed if this is the case.
Otherwise, if it's just CIPC-IP phone calls locally on your LAN, I would upgrade the phone loads on both sides to see if it helps.

    I recently obtained a sweet vintage RE-501 space echo tape delay, chorus, and reverb tank. I am using a Mackie Onyx 400f firewire interface. How can I connect the space echo so that I can use it as an effect in logic? I would ideally like to be using it on the bus track so that I can mix using the space echo on whatever tracks I want. If anyone has any advice I would appreciate it!!!

    If you leave Logic for the outside World, the only way back in again is via recording or monitoring; therefore it might be advisable not to actually commit your external effects to an actual Track until you have finished mixing & are ready to master (although for individual instruments, where mixing is not involved, it would be a different story). IOW, stay in +Record Standby mode+ while mixing, but only Record for real when happy.
    That's just a suggestion, of course; have a search for +"external effects logic"+ & see what other tips you can find. If you need more, I'll be happy to go into more detail.

    First, are you referring to packages or applications because the behavior is different.
    Also, why do you want it to retry a failure? It failed for a reason so you need to fix the cause of the failure first. If it failed the first, it will likely fail the next time for the same reason. In general, ConfigMgr will only retry on transient type

    1. Day's Supply and Stock Hand at the Distribution Center
    Checking the planning book, does the stock on hand KF represent also the day's supply? or only the receipts?
    ex. of what i see in the planning book:
       receipt = 100, stock on hand = 100, day's supply = 7
    There is also a case where I see 128 days as my day's supply but i have no stock on hand.
    How is the day's supply determined?  How do I know the number of stocks it represent?
    2. Safety Penalty and Delay Penalty
    If my safety penalty is higher than my delay penalty, will it be true that it will prioritize to meet the required safety stock rather than the demand?

  • Export Errors - sound echo and sound stoppage

    Hi everyone - I have a bit of an urgent need for help. When I
    preview my slides as a "movie" or export them to HTML, I am faced
    with two errors: at one minute into the script, the sound acquires
    an echo and remains for the rest of the slides. The other issue is
    that the audio simply cuts off after about 2 minutes. I experienced
    these issues separately when performing the same export and preview
    as movie functions.
    The confusing part is that when I preview individual slides,
    neither of the problems are present. So, it is likely that there is
    a problem in the export/preview functions. Can anyone help out?

    Hello dcdave and welcome to our community.
    I am very sorry to hear that you have experienced audio
    problems with Adobe Captivate. In this first instance I would
    suggest that you try exporting the audio using the Advanced Audio
    Editor (Audio > Advanced Audio...) and playing the audio in the
    built-in audio recorder Sound Recorder. If you don't experience any
    problems playing the audio file here then back in Captivate, delete
    the audio file from the Slide (again you can do this using the
    Advanced Audio Editor) and then import the WAV file back onto your
    slide.
    With regard to the audio stopping, I have seen this numerous
    times. Sometimes you can stop this from occurring by simply
    selecting the audio object on the Timeline moving to the 0.0 marker
    and then back to it's original position. If that doesn't solve the
    probem then try deleting it from Timeline and importing the WAV
    file again.
    Note: You might also want to make sure that the audio file
    has been removed from the Library panel, if not then delete it here
    as well.
    Lastly, whilst you are not experiencing any duplications at
    runtime (when you preview) the most common cause for duplications
    is when you have inserted the audio to the slide and also another
    object such as a text caption. You can check this by showing the
    Advanced Audio Editor and choosing the option
    Show object level audio.

    I want to save all the processor power I can, so I want to completely delete the default reverb and delay bussed aux channels that come up automatically when you start a new concert. When I select them, Delete is gray-ed out under the edit tab. How can I get rid of these?

    These are Concert level channels, so to delete them you will need to select the Concert at the top of the Patch List.
    You may also want to remove any associated Sends.

  • Echo and reverb effects disabled?

    I created a project and recorded tracks with echo and reverb effects, but now when I open the project the echo and reverb effects are both disabled; I can't enable them or change their values, and the effects aren't present during playback or after export. Any idea what might be the reason/resolution for this? Thanks for your help.

    It's not so weird if you understand how it works: These echo and reverb effects are "global" effects for your song - all tracks are sent through the same effect, and with the echo and reverb sliders you only determine the mix of "wet" and "dry". That saves a lot of processing power.
    Of course you can apply additional different reverbs to each single track, but aside from computing resources it will cost you one of your effects slots.

    Data over the phone - to Vodaphone - is fine. I can browse. With or without wifi.
    My speaker and mic work fine.

    I think the fault just developed out of the blue. I called somebody left the phone on the table downstairs the person tried to call me back 11 times and I never heard them. When I tried to call later in the day the phone had an error.
    When try to phone my iPhone from the land line the ring tone is perfect but I get the same problem with my iphone just echoing my voice and nothing else - and the landline having loud static and nothing else.

    Just purchased Master Suite and when trying to record in Premiere Pro CS5 through headset set up or microphone, all good equipment, I get lots of echos and intense "reverb" I believe... tried changing settings and turning off speakers etc.. with no luck. Any suggestions would be appreciated. FYI, was using Camtasia and had no problems at all.

    Can you tell us all about the acoustics of your studio?
    Also, knowing the make/models of your mics, and how they are set up would be helpful.
    Do you have the output to the speakers active? I would turn this off.
    Do you get the same problems, in other software (per Jim's suggestion), without making any other changes?

    I downloaded the last toshiba's sound driver (for win 7 64bit), but it's as if it doesn't contain MaxxAudio anymore... (but the file maxxaudio.dll is still in realtek directory)
    It worked correctly after Windows 7 update, (that's why I tried to reinstall the audio drivers which were in the DVD... but it does not have resolved the problem.)
    And all my system restore's points have been lost after a wrong bios update or something else (but this isn't a problem anymore)
    Now, my computer works correctly, my only problem is that the MaxxAudio tab (from Waves Audio) in the realtek audio manager disappeared... (It just makes a better sound...)
    And I just want to know if it's a curent problem or not... and if someone can fix it

    I am trying to test an external speech synthesizer on my laptop, a MacBook pro running os 10.6 snow leopard. I have a question regarding the echo and cat commands. I wondered if I have to set something up in order to use cat or echo with my doubletalk speech synthesizer. I have my speech synthesizer hooked up to a USB to serial adaptor and my adaptor plugged into a USB port on my laptop. I have tested my synthesizer with a terminal emulator called Kermit. And everything seems to work i.e. my synthesizer produced output, so I believe my synthesizer, my USB to serial adaptor and it's driver, are all working. My question is if I want to use the cat or echo command to send data to my synthesizer do I have to set anything up? Like the speed my synthesizer needs is 9600 baud, would I have to set up my computer in terminal to have a 9600 baud speed? Speed by the way is just an example, I believe the speed is correct. btw I know about VoiceOver.

    Have you checked in with the app 'Audio MIDI Setup' to see if perhaps anything there applies. Located in the Utilities folder btw.

  • Premiere freezing and delayed playback, plays audio after force quit

    I'm working with 350 hours of AVCHD c100 and h264 from 5D. The media is on a thunderbolt RAID 1 and I'm running CC 2014 on a 2014 Mac Pro with 6 cores, 3gb GPU and 32GB ram.
    After about an hour of editing, I get delayed playback, and delayed response from keyboard or trackpad input. I can save - and after that I've waited up to a half an hour while the program is frozen. If it froze during playback, the audio continues to play through the system even after force quit. The only way to start over is a system restart.
    any ideas? I've had trouble moving projects in the past, and media cache issues were to blame for similar symptoms, but it's much worse this time

    First two things to check are permissions and prefs.
    Prefs: go to Documents/Adobe/Premiere Pro/8.0 and rename the folder "<username>-Profile." When you launch PPro, all new prefs will be written.

    I recorded two real instrument tracks in GB. I successfully recorded the first track and then the 2nd track, but when I returned to play the first track it sounded blurry and delayed while the 2nd one sounded fine. Why is this?
