Echo in Breeze audio

After I import audio files into Breeze, they become tinny and
there is an echo (especially with words containing an "s"). I
changed the audio quality to high, and this helped the audio sound
less tinny, but there is still a bad echo. Any solutions?

2) That's called a feedback loop. The microphone is picking up the speakers and then playing what it heard from the speakers through the speakers. As the speakers get louder, the microphone picks up more of the speakers, and plays the sound back louder...until the microphone reaches saturation, and then you just have an aweful loud siren-like thing. Bad deal.
1) In reference to the echo, are the two computers in the same room? Because if so, the microphone is picking up the speaker on the second computer, and that's what's causing the echo. It doesn't do the feedback loop because, of the distance and time delay, the sound gets progressively quieter every time it is played (as opposed to louder, in the above case)Hello captfoss! Welcome back!
Happy to see you back..............
I can't believe my problem was so simple............... Yes, both the computers are in the same room. I have understood the problem.
But if you give me assurance that there would be no problem of echo if the computers are far away then all 5 dukes would be yours.
P.S.: my second problem: [http://forums.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=5345682&tstart=10]

  • How to rid slight echo from my audio? FC7

    Hello All,
    I have a slight echo from my footage. It's not horrible, but i'd like to do see if I can get rid of it. I am using Final Cut 7. Is there a built in audio filter that will help me out with getting rid of the echo so my audio sounds more direct?

    You can attempt to reduce the amount of echo by applying the audio filter Expander/Noise Gate.
    Effects > Audio > Final Cut Pro > Expander/Noise Gate
    This filter makes loud sounds louder, and soft sound softer - so that your echo, which should be softer in volume than the intended audio, will be made even quieter in relation to the intended sound.
    Some experimentation will be required, and the general rule of thumb for audio processing/fixing is that often the cure is worse than the symptom - so it may be that your original untreated audio will sound best.

  • Reduce Echo in an Audio Recording within Garageband

    I recorded a podcast interview using Skype/Call Recorder. For some reason, the set-up I used created an audio file that has a very slight echo.
    Is there any way to reduce this slight echo in the interview track in Garageband?

    not really, no. you could try using a gate, but that would only hide the echo during the quiet passages, between words, and would likely sound unnatural.

  • Echos in QuickTime audio file when I play a page in Keynote.

    I have a project that was created in Excel, placed into a PC Powerpoint program, and then sent to me, whereupon I placed it into my new Keynote program. I had earlier trouble getting the screen to stay open until the video was finished, so I decided to just get by with audio clips.
    I made one audio clip with QuickTime as practice. I saved the QuickTime movie. I placed that icon onto the Keynote page. Then I heard echoes of about 2, maybe 3 voices speaking and music which I thought I had deleted I swept the page for invisible audio files but found nothing.
    How can I take away the echo?

  • Getting echo when capturing audio with JMF

    Hello.
    I have just downloaded JMF 2.1.1 and have cribbed one of the examples to produce an application that will capture audio input, process it and pass it straight to the speakers. However, I am getting echo, i.e. the input signal appears twice at the speakers, shifted by about half a second.
    Now, before you tell me that it is due to feedback from the speakers to the microphone, I must tell you that my audio signal is from a radio plugged into the mike socket of my PC, so there is no chance of any external feedback.

    Now, the really interesting thing is that if I uncomment the lines that mute the processor, I get only a single signal out of the speakers. It appears as if there is some connection between the mike input and speaker output.
    Just to make sure, I tried this with JMStudio and got the same result. When I captured input, I got two signals output until I pressed the mute button, when I got one signal.
    I also get the same problem if I use a Player, rather than a Processor.
    I am running on Win95, JDK1.3.

  • Strange echo in left audio channel

    just got my new imac today after my old imac G5 pooped out on me. when using the headphone jack (which i do often) the left channel has a strange echo or kind of a "tracer" i guess, like a space sound in a cartoon. anyone else have this happen or is this just a freak defect? i really dont want to wait to get a new one shipped.

    Hi joneskoff
    Welcome to Apple Discussions
    1. Open and close the GarageBand Application to reset your Audio MIDI setup.
    2. Make sure the jack is fully inserted.
    3. Try a different set of Headphones or a different cord if your using an External Audio Device.
    4. If all the above fail to clear up the sound, you should return it for a replacement now.

  • Need to remove reverb/slight echo from source audio

    Hello all:
    And yes, yes, before I get the sanctimonious wiseguy quips about "should have recorded it right in the first place/can't get there from here" and other generally unhelpful remarks and platitudes.... "I KNOW ALREADY!"
    So down to the subject at hand. I have to edit source video that was recorded in a very live room. The sound guy did his best to kill the reverb with baffles and sound blankets. etc. but some reverb/slight echo remain. Does anyone know of a software application that can at least smooth it out or advise on how to EQ it so the ring is not so noticeable?
    Many thanks

    Thanks for all the responses. I've actually fixed it using a combination of eq and a super sensitive noisegate filter. It was pain to do but got the job done. Phew. < </div>
    I'm trying to figure out a response to this that would equal your original's presupposition but the best I can do is say thanks for offering up a helpful contribution to the "remove reverb" discussions. Future searches will find your thread and maybe you have given them some hope.
    Numerous threads on the same topic often end in frustration because, literally, nothing can be done to reduce echoic reverberation because the overlapping sounds are picked up by a single microphone.

  • Audio-Echo Cancellation/Gain Control

    I've recently downloaded skype to make phone calls. Unfortunately, the people i'm calling are complaining that there is an echo on their end of the call. Skype suggests changing the audio settings in preferences and checking off the boxes for echo cancellation and gain control. When i've gone into preferences, i do not have the option of echo cancellation/gain control. Anyone know how to access these options or any other way to reduce echo in using audio for phone calls?
    thanks

    More complete code:
    netConnection = new NetConnection();
    netConnection.connect("rtmp://whatever.com/phone");
    incomingNetStream = new NetStream(netConnection);
    incomingNetStream.client = this;
    incomingNetStream.bufferTime = 0.2;
    incomingNetStream.play("play");
    incomingNetStream.receiveAudio(true);
    outgoingNetStream = new NetStream(netConnection);
    outgoingNetStream.bufferTime = 0;
    mic = Microphone.getEnhancedMicrophone();
    mic.codex = SoundCodec.SPEEX;
    mic.framesPerPacket = 1;
    mic.setSilenceLevel(0);
    var options:MicrophoneEnhancedOptions = new MicrophoneEnhancedOptions;
    options.echoPath = 256;
    options.nonLinearProcessing = true;
    mic.enhancedOptions = options;
    outgoingNetStream.attachAudio(mic);
    outgoingNetStream.publish("publish", "live");

  • Echo in audio from movie.

    I have recently downloaded a movie as an .mp4 and when I play it through quicktime or itunes there is a strong echo and the audio is shallow. When I play it through VLC there is no problem and the audio sounds great. My problem is i want to play it on my iPad and i need to know what format setting i need to adjust. Thanks for taking the time to read and respond.

    radodrill,
    It's always difficult to troubleshoot equipment I don't have. But the manual for your Videomate (p27) says that newer Compro TV cards "have PCI audio feature which enables audio through the PCI interface." As best I can tell, this is enabled by selecting "By PCI Audio" in the System Device in "Settings of ComproPVR." If you have that option, you probably want to disable this so that the Videomate uses the cable and does not transmit over the bus.Message Edited by Katman on 03-0-200602:47 PM

  • Strange echo on audio playback QT 10.1

    Hi there.  i have been making backup QT movies of a whole bunch of Beta SP tapes using an AJA Ki Pro to record ProRes 422 files.  I have used QT7pro to trim these movies and add metadata.  Played back on QT7 (7.6.6) they sound find but playing the same movie on QT player 10.1 there is an echo on the audio as if one track has been knocked back about 6 or 7 frames.   Using QT7 to set Ch1 and 2 to mono or stereo makes no difference, just spaces the echo out.
    any help much appreciated having just finished about 30 hours of material!    Cheers Phil

    I've got the same issue. Here's my post:
    https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4294610
    Still no reply for me.
    However, I found that the problem occurs when the two chanels are on two different tracks (sorry for the french...):
    PCM linéaire, 16 bit petit boutien entier signé, 1 canaux, 48000 Hz
    PCM linéaire, 16 bit petit boutien entier signé, 1 canaux, 48000 Hz
    But works well when the 2 channels are on the same track, like this:
    PCM linéaire, 16 bit petit boutien entier signé, 2 canaux, 48000 Hz
    Also, check your videos in NicePlayer... Works fine for me...
    Hope this help...

  • QuickTime echo audio

    I am getting echo during new audio and screen recording.  I am using soundflower 2ch.  This used to work.  Can this be fixed or is there some other way to pick up audio.  I was surprized when I was told that I needed a 3rd party softwarte in the first place.  For one thing, I cannot monitor sound while recording.

    Oh, I forgot: the strangest of all is that itunes works perfectly well even though it supposed to rely on quicktime...

  • ISight echo on iMacG5

    I got an iSight for my grandmother who is in FL, so she can chat with my family (on my G4 using a video camera) and my mother (on a PC using AIM). It works ok, but on either the G4 or PC, we hear a significant echo of my grandmothers voice, to the point where it is difficult to hear what she is saying. It almost sounds like we are hearing audio from the iSight and an internal microphone. Heck, I don't even know if the iMac G5 has a microphone and if so, shouldn't it turn off when the iSight is on?
    She has cable internet and the speed is fine.
    I've read posts about moving the iSight from the speakers, but she just uses internal speakers, so no go there.
    Any other suggestions?
    Thanks

     iChat AV can use only one mic at a time, so Granny cannot be using both. You can choose which in the iChat > Preferences... > Video > Microphone: Choices Bar. The best choice is normally "iSight Built-in" because iSight's internal mic system is designed to reduce this kind of echoing and other audio distractions. The internal iSight mic almost always give better results than iMac's built in mic does.
    iChat purposely plays sound at lower levels than other apps do in order to reduce audio feedback into the microphone. Try turning down the volume on your speakers as a test. Does this help? You can verify with certainty whether this is the problem by trying headphones instead of speakers for one of your chats.
    You are also correct that the echo might be from her speakers. Granny may need to turn down her volume. If she is hard of hearing, she may need to use headphones at her end to be able to hear you without sending too much audio to her iSight's mic.
    I am not clear as to which Mac Granny uses, but you should check to be sure that she has not positioned her iSight close to or directly in front of her speakers. Either location would increase feedback.

  • Echo in downloaded TV episode

    Downloaded one of the newly offered episodes of Alfred Hitchcock Presents from iTunes Music Store and there is an echo on the audio that I can't get rid of. Any idea what the problem is? The episode is #1 Revenge

    Got a solution to this problem from the following entry by Taylor Parga in earlier string ``No Sound in Video''
    Problem: iTunes 6.0 would play music in my library, but when I played video, I had no sound.
    Resolution: Go into QT >Edit>Preferences>Quicktime preferences> Select "audio tab"> under the Devices section click on the "Select Audio Playback and Recording Devices" then selected the sound card for my PC(Safe Mode WaveOut only does not cut it)... rest of settings is used are 64khz, 16bit, stereo (L,R), music sythesizer=General MIDI.
