Echo in Cp5 upon replay

When a project or slide with audio in it is played (whether upon publishing or preview) a distinct echo is heard and the audio volume dips by itself. This echo is not heard when the project or slide is played the first time. Have you noticed this anomaly too? Is there a solution to this problem? Thanks, pals!

2. Are you able to reproduce this issue consistently from the second time you play the project?
3. Can you hear the echo when project is previewed in web browser or when it is previewed using F4?

Possible to use 2 AEBS to remove the 802.11g bottleneck?

I have a Sony PS3 and lately I have noticed when playing Call of Duty 4 that I will see an enemy, shoot them, they don't die, they shoot me, and I'm dead. Upon replay, they see a totally different story. They see only me coming around the corner, no shots fired, and they have an easy shot.
I have Road Runner and consistently get 14.5-15Mbit down and 750Kbps up. I am connected from the modem to my AEBS, and then 802.11g from that to the PS3. I've opened ports on the airport, restarted, etc... nothing seems to fix it. I am thinking that the latency from going from PS3 to AEBS to the game server may be the issue??
The AEBS and PS3 are 2 floors apart, so running a gigabit cable between them isn't an option - but what about getting another 802.11n AEBS and hooking the PS3 up to that via gigabit? So the network would then go cable to AEBS -> 802.11n ->AEBS ->gigabit ethernet ->PS3
Would this help, or hurt?

This might help but it's difficult to say without knowing absolutely where the latency was occurring. You might consider moving the PS3 temporarily just for testing purposes to see if you can reduce latency by plugging directly into the AEBS. If that works, then it's reasonable to consider adding another one. You would also need to make sure that you didn't have any G devices connected if you wanted the best results.

Error in Control in eCATT

Hey,
I recorded a test script which involved recording of some values in GridView Control. I was using SAPGUI(record). The recording went fine but as i executed the test case it resulted in an error saying ..

The error is pointing to the screen where it has to start entering values in the grid. The execution stops there and gives me the error as stated above.
I am Using Solution Manager 3.2 with Web AS 6.20 to run eCATT. My SAP GUI is 6.40 with Patch level 8. Is there any limitations as such on Grid Control or some setting which might be missing. Please help me out ASAP.

Well I did a lot of research on it on my own and created quite a number of test cases and was finally able to deduce what actually the problem is.
This problem occured to me when the visibility of the controls especially Grids was dependent on the input data. Usually what happened was that upon recording the follow of screens that actually occured was not happening upon Replay. It was basically because of the state the screen is in when we leave a transaction. I changed the setting to "Do not Close Session upon Completion" so that i had the replay session available to me at the end or Replay. And i saw that the screen was not at the state that it should be. So what I did was changed the screen state on to which it should be at that time and then left the transaction. Now when i Replayed the test case next time it executed perfectly without any errors.
So basically the problem lies within just the dynamic controls and what we have to ensure is that before we replay the script we exit that transaction from a state which we want it to be in upon replay.

2010 White MacBook Mini jack problem

Hello, I hope I am not re-posting this issue, but I could not find it anywhere.
The case is that I have a totally average PC speaker with minijack cable. When it is plugged into the MacBook (White, unibody, mid2010) and music is played in iTunes (or video on youtube, or any kind of audio) every once in a while it makes a beep similar to when there is an encoding issue in a song. it is less than a second long, and upon replaying the song there is no problem whatsoever. also when using the speaker with my xbox, or iPod, this beep never happens (And it is loud enough to hear.)
Thus I suspected that the issue may be with my MacBook. I wiped my entire hard-drive, reinstalled the entire machine, but the thing still happens sometimes. And it started a few weeks ago, so the only contradiction I can draw is that my moving t a new apartment caused the issue, but this seems rather unreasonable to me.
Another interesting observation is that sometimes Garageband ('08, '09, '11, whichever) does the exact same sound and then only one side of the speakers works, and upon plugging in a speaker and then plugging it off from the computer the issue is resolved. This happened to me many times way before the other issue happened. Could there be some connection between Garageband and this speaker issue?
If anyone knows any kind of solution that has, should or might work, please don't hesitate! I appreciate every response! Thank You!

Nevermind. Today I used it with my xbox and the same thing happened. A new speaker will hopefully solve it. Thread may be closed.

"What you hear" recording volume is too

I have Soundblaster Audigy 2 on Vista 64-bit. I recently downloaded new drivers (6.0..242). This is after converting from XP and old drivers.
My "What you hear" settings work and will record using MediaSource Player, but the volume on the recorded file is about 25% the volume of the original file. This is verified upon replaying both the original and newly-recorded files side-by-side or right after one another.
When opening the Sound Panel>Recording Devices>"What You Hear">Levels, the levels are to the max and the balance is to the max for both right and left channels.
Although probably irrelevent, under Sound Panel>Playback Devices>Speakers>Levels, play control levels are max, and all other sublevels are?maxed, balanced maxed, and unmuted. (Sorry for my lack of technical description.)
I play the file on Windows Media Player and volume is maxed on the player as well. The interesting thing is when you look in the Sound Panel, the speakers show maxed volume and the "What you hear" only shows, again 25% of the volume.
Previously, I had no problems with XP and old drivers. I also was once able to revert to old drivers (which I can no longer do) and the problem went away. The difference was that the old drivers had a "Wav" level setting (under Sound Panel>Playback Devices>Speakers>Levels) where you could increase the level. These drivers don't appear to provide this setting.
Is there some setting I'm missing? Any help would be great. Thanks!

Which card/software you got there?
If you use "Creative Surround Mixer" --> you can set the .REC source by pressing the icon located above recording level slider.
If you can't see the "W-U-H" option listed there, then check if it's already selected (ear icon).

ITunes is "reformatting" song tags

Hello,
I've noticed that in the last few days that when iTunes plays a song it "reformats" the song's tag on me. For instance, if the song was track 7 of 10 and labelled "7 of 10" it changes to just plain "7" after it starts playing. Additionally, it spews a bunch of gobbledy gook in the comments section (e.g. 00000000 00000210 00000B34 0000000000CA06BC 00000000 005B94E6 00000000 00000000 00000000 00000000 00000000 00000000) that wasn't there previously. If I rewrite the tag the way I want it to the tag "reformats" again upon replay. I updated to the most current version of iTunes and this does not help. Any ideas?

Are you sure it's iTunes that's changing the tag and not WMP? Most of the time I've seen this problem, it's because there's a setting in WMP (Options-Library) that says "Retrieve Additional Information from the Internet" which has an option, "Overwrite all media information". If that option is chosen and WMP is sharing a library with iTunes, WMP will keep changing info.
iTunes itself doesn't have this kind of option, for better or worse. It only looks up info when you rip a CD.

Nexus 5500 duplicate ICMP echo-replay

I am experiencing inconsistent echo-replay from devices connected via VPC to Nexus 5500s while pinging from the Nexus exec prompt.
In some cases I receive normal response when pinging from one Nexus, but no response when pinging from the other switch. In other instance I receive normal response to one Nexus, and duplicate replays to the other. It looks like a VPC related bug. NXOS is 5.1.3.N2.1

I found this in the configuration guide for the Nexus 7000 configuring VPCs
"When you enable this feature (peer-gateway), Cisco NX-OS automatically disables IP redirects on all interface VLANs mapped over a vPC VLAN to avoid generation of IP redirect messages for packets switched through the peer gateway router."
However this is not happening automatically on the 5K, so you need to manually add "no ip redirects" on each VPC vlan interface to prevent duplicate pings.

MySQL database - Recordset's echoing problem

Today I decided to use a MySQL database to hold my articles
in, and then
call them with a recordset when applicable. Everything works
really, really
nicely except for one thing.

bottom where the comment form is and you'll see some PHP code
being
echo'ed - which isn't supposed to be.
I've noticed in IE - it's always displayed with all articles,
but on
Firefox, it seems to only happen with the first article you
open up, then
all the others are fine.
I'm calling the recordsets inside of my php cases, for
example:

And so on.
Now, everything in the "textfields" row is the physical HTML
and PHP code
that will write and display the article and the comment form.
It seems that something is getting scrambled, or that I need

I did cut and paste the code from DW into the table. I just
finished up,
actually, with another solution. I entered the code for the
comment form
into a .txt file, and used it as a PHP include for the
articles.
Also, for the action of the form (since it's the same form
being used for
three different pages) - I set a variable when it calls a
certain Recordset,
and then did an "if, elseif" statement inside the .txt file
where it will
echo out the appropriate page, depending upon which article
the user is at.
For example (from my code):

That's was really the only problem I had to overcome because

Form to echo data before submit

I would like to capture or echo the data from a form before the submit button - I can get a new browser to open but cannot get the data to show - is this possible? Thank you.

There are a couple of ways you can do this. Since you used the term echo, I am guessing you are using php.
You can have the action of the form set to a file that will echo the data that has be input, without it actually being sent to your DB or email, then upon approval, they submit again to have the information go where you want. Seems the long way around the barn.
A simpler method is to do a search of javascript, preview, form, and have a preveiw button and a submit button. That sounds like the easier way.
There was just a discussion about it a week or so ago but I was unable to find it, but I found plenty of JS scripts that would work.

Why is there an echo from the MP3 narration when I play back a Recorded Timing slideshow in Keynote?

I have an MP3 audio file across all slides in my Keynote presentation. Then I "Record Slideshow" to record the slide timings as I want them. Upon playback, there is a slight echo as if two tracks are playing. What have I done?

I have a Keynote Presentation that I've recorded Narriation for with an MP3 file in the beginning...it worked fine. I then used Tooble to download a youtube video. The first one (virtual tour) tuned out fine. The second youtube video (client testmonial) - echo lag of about a second or two. SUPER annoying. I move on to a video my compnay (Century 21) provided me & also feedback on that one. The final audio clip is of the century 21 jingle, which is an MP3. It sounds fine also.
What gives?
When I try and pull the volume down like you've suggested, the whole voiceover narrition goes away & it wants me to "edit" my show. I'm so confused. My voiceover is never echoy...just the two videos.

Script to create 2 column CSV and zip upon completion

I'm trying to to grab images or PDF's in a folder, add those containing "front" into the 1st column of a CSV, those containing "back" to the 2nd column and then zip/archive it upon completion. So far I'm using the following script, which add's all PDF/png files to the CSV in a single column.
How do I create column headers and add files containing "front" to the first column and "back" to the second?

I'm not sure how you are running the script e.g. Automator or in an Applescript. Because there are several steps involved I have just done it all in a shell script…
To use it copy & paste into a plain text file (TextWrangler is a decent free code editor with syntax highlighting - it makes life easier).
Save the file as paginator.sh
Make it 'executable' (only need to do this once). In Terminal…
chmod +x paginator.sh
Now you can run it by using…
paginator.sh
Obviously use the full path to the file in those commands (drag & drop the file to get Terminal to autofill it).

In short it finds the front & back files (sorts then & saves that in two text files).
Then it merges them via 'pr' and removes the suffixes in one pass of the output file. I have removed the last piece of the sed (I'm unsure what it was for).
It saves into ${HOME}/list.csv Which is the users home folder
There are is room for improvement on this but it creates the csv as desired…
The sort will place front_10.jpg before front_1.jpg (You must use leading zeros on all your files - e.g. file_01.jpg, back_01.png…)
This does not account for nested folders! It will find files at every level! (you can add '-maxdepth 1' to stop find going into nested folders).
The output depends on the file names & if one file is missing the order goes out of sync (you should probably search for the correct 'back_' image & a pair them up correctly with extra logic).
The paths are 'hardcoded' (you can make it accept input so that you can pass the 'files folder' and the 'output file' name into it).
If this is all too complex you could try to re-purpose into an Automator or Applescript, but I think if you are calling repeated 'do shell script' actions it is a sign you could be using the shell itself. It can be wrapped up if you need to make it run like an application - or just give it a '.command' suffix & it should just launch Terminal & run when you double click the file.

i bought my Asha 200 Nokia phone a few months ago. Whenever i make or recieve calls, my voice echoes. i dont know what to do. Help, i like this phone a lot.

Thank you for your post and welcome to the forums.
What is your current firmware version? You can check this by dialing *#0000#
Also try updating your software by connecting your device to Nokia suite and then going into tools and then software update. Update the software and this should resolve your echo issue.

And then I looked around at the Verbose Mode And Single User , tried to understand what was going on in there , and then I simply moved up with the arrow key , Up Arrow .
Of course , just like in Terminal , when you go up you find the history or past .
What I find in my first line in the root# is this :
root# stty -onclr -echo echonl
Will you please let me know if you do or don't know what this line is ?

Removing echo from audio track.

I have audio recorded in a church which sounds great apart from the echo on it. Im at a loss as to which filter, if any will help remove it. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

You may be able to reduce the level of echo by using a noise gate; the results will depend upon the nature and level of echo and also other background noise, but some reduction may be possible. Don't be too agreesive in the setting of noise reduction otherwise it will be very obvious that you are gating the sound and you will end up hearing the background sound coming and going as quite often heard on less well processed movies and tv productions.

Start up tone echo

My Black Mac Book is running fine. However, it has recently developed a disconcerting habit. Upon start up here the open tone like normal. Then in about 5 seconds I hear a short, soft echo of the tone. Five seconds later I hear another short, soft echo. Then it starts up normally.
Like I said, the MacBook otherwise runs normally, but I have always heard alterations in the start up tone can help diagnose problems.
Do I have a problem and how do I solve it.

Try resetting your PRAM. If that does nor work, do an Archive and Install.
