Eclipse Indigo JEE M7 could not install Oracle Weblogic Server Tools
Hi,
Anyone managed to install Oracle Weblogic Server Tools plugins on Eclipse Indigo JEE M7?
It appears that Oracle Weblogic Server Tools depends on EMF Core 2.6 while Indigo JEE M7 packages EMF Core 2.7.
Will the Oracle Weblogic Server Tools be updated at http://download.oracle.com/otn_software/oepe/indigo/wtp/ to have same EMF core dependency as Eclipse Indigo?
Thanks !
The current tech preview release of OEPE for Indigo is targeted at Indigo M6. It looks like component versions changed in M7, making the current tech preview incompatible with M7. The official support for Indigo will ship in early to mid July.

Eclipse + Oracle WebLogic Server Tools - stuck during publishing
Hello,
I'm experiencing a problem publishing to my application server in Eclipse, and would very much appreciate any help given.
Server: WebLogic 10gR3
Eclipse: Ganymede JEE SR2
Oracle WebLogic Server Tools: 1.2.0.200907171310
OS: Windows XP 32 bit
JVM: Sun 6u13
In my workspace:
- Several Java projects
- Several EJB projects
- Several web projects
- One connector project
- One EAR project, referencing all other projects as its JEE modules
- One WebLogic server in my "Servers" view, defined to deploy my EAR project
Summary of my problem:
Sometimes, and it seems pretty random, when starting the server - the "Publishing to Oracle WebLogic server" operation would never stop (can be seen in the "Progress" view). As a result, Eclipse is essentially stuck, as all other operations, such as saving a file etc', would not be performed since they would be waiting for the publish operation to complete.
I did notice that a trigger for this is a deployment failure, such as a badly-defined application-module-datasource, or a failed startup task, but I have also experienced this with a good deployment as well.
I am, literally, clueless. I have tried the new Galileo but it's too buggy, had some weird phenomenons there, and I have also tried the OEPE Galileo preview and got some weird phenomenons there as well.
Again, your help would be very much appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Amnon Grossman
ECI TelecomAmnon,
Try the Eclipse forum:
Enterprise Pack for Eclipse
Also, the 11g Eclipse 3.5 support is out of Preview/Beta mode and you should be able to open support tickets on it:

Could I install Oracle Application Server 10g 10.1.2.0.2 x64
Dear Sir,
I have one server installed by Windows 2003 X64 and EM64T (Core 2 Duo Intel CPU).
Could it be workable to install Oracle Application Server 10g 10.1.2.0.2 (Itanium version) on
it (Windows 2003 X64 and EM64T (Core 2 Duo Intel CPU)) ?
Thank you very much...
KeNote that (as it is stated in the above certification matrix, point #19), you can only install a mid-tier instance there. Infrastructure installation type is not supported on it.
Thanks

Would suggest following
o Restart Weblogic Server
o Monitor LDAP server for potential long running ldap search queries.
If above doesn't help, do netstat -a for more details about socket connections. It may help to understand if network communication is an issue or not. Involve n/w engineer if it needs. -

Dependency conflicts when installing WebLogic Server Tools in Eclipse Juno
Installing the WebLogic Server Tools in Eclipse (Juno) on Windows 7, 64 bit cannot be completed. Eclipse is up to date and several other plugins are installed.
When installing the server tools, either via the Marketplace or the Server view -> New Server -> Download additional server adapters it fails because of incompatible dependencies. The error message is:

Does anyone know how to solve this and get the WebLogic Server Tools installed?

Juno 4.2 SR2 and OEPE
Until the next OEPE release comes out, you need to make sure that you are running with Juno SR1 when installing OEPE. Installing into Juno SR2 will not work.

Oracle WebLogic Server 10gR3 Installation Query
I have Windows 7 (64-bit OS) & i'd like to install Oracle WebLogic Server 10gR3 (i know it's not the newest).
Would you please provide me with a link for downloading the suitable Weblogic Server package & net installer?Hi
Yes, you should download Weblogic Server 10.3.3 Generic Installer which is like a .JAR file (sometimes .zip but rename as .jar file). In the below link, for weblogic server 10.3.3 row, on right side, click on + icon (See All Files). There in the last column you will see 64 bit installer (wls1033_generic.jar).
http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/ias/downloads/wls-main-097127.html
Just refer online docs for 64 bit installation. Make sure that first you download 64 bit jdk (Sun or JRockit). Set this in PATH. When you run java -version, it should refer this 64 bit jdk. Then run command like java -d64 -jar wls1033_generic.jar (if -d64 do not work, try -D64). Basically generic installer for 64 bit will not have any JDK built in. You have to download it first and then use it for installing weblogic.

Oracle WebLogic Server 9.2 MP4 - license error
Hi,
I have installed Oracle WebLogic Server 9.2 MP4 on my dev/test server, while starting the server in production mode getting licensed validation error, can any body help on this please.
downloaded 9.2 MP4 from this location (http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/weblogic/downloads/wls-main-097127.html)

Please make sure you have a valid license.bea
file in the BEA home directory associated with this
installation. For more information about the license.bea
file, see the installation guide for the version of the
software you are using at http://e-docs.bea.com.
ThanksHi,
I was able to figure out the root cause. I was using the primitive data type "int" for primary key and foreign key for one of the beans in the relationship. After I changed it to "Integer" wrapper type, the issue got resolved.

Most likely, the OCI libraries could not be loaded.
Before continuing down this path, is there any reason
why you want to use an OCI based Driver as opposed to the
all Java Oracle thin driver ?There is indeed a valid reason for my choice.
I am currently connecting to the Oracle "Rdb" 7.0 database (located on
VMS) - not Oracle Oracle.
The SQL Service software we're currently using is version 7.1. This
version works well with the OCI8 driver (when connecting to the
database from Windows NT). This version of SQL Service however does
NOT work for the THIN driver (unless we upgrade the SQL Service to
version 7.1.5.5 - which we're not prepared to do so because it is not
stable enough from our previous test/trials). SQLSRV Version 7.1.5.5
works for THIN driver but it will result in uncommitted
transactions/unresolved connection/stopping of listener issues and
there is a need to restart the service from time to time. Oracle has
since confirmed that this is a bug that they have yet to resolve...
So we have to stick to OCI8 (THICK) for the time being. I would really
appreciate it very much if you can tell me the various OCI libraries
that I need to load (in terms of WebLogic Server config file settings
etc..).
By the way I have already installed the Oracle 8 client software on
the NT server (where WebLogic Server is) and I have also set up the
relevant SID (using the Net8 Assistant) that points to the Oracle Rdb
database on the VMS. I have also tried using SQL*Plus to connect to
the database and I can connect properly to the database. But WebLogic
simply doesn't seem to load the software.

Zones could not connect Oracle in global zone
Today I tried to install Zones for our customers.
I configed Zone1 and Zone2. Applications running in Zone1 and Zone2 used JDBC to connect to Oracle.
1. Both Zone1 and Zone2 can connect to other Oracle DB servers except the one in global zone.
2. All other clients or machines can connect to the Oracle DB server in the global zone.
So, the Oracle server in the global zone is running and zones network connection is good.
Is this a bug? This is very weird.
Please help me! Thanks.Issue is : Application in Zone1 and Zone2 could not connect Oracle dB in global zone. JDBC error is network adapter error. could not setup connection.
Under zone1 or zone2, i can ping global zone. And I can telnet Oracle listening port.
please help. -
SQL Developer will not start - could not install some modules
I just installed the Java JDK 7u51 as well as the JRE 7u51. Following that I extracted SQL Developer to a fresh directory. When I open SQL Developer I get the following error message:
Warning - could not install some modules:
JDeveloper/NetBeans Bridge - The module named oracle.ide was needed and not found.
Extensions Cache - The module named oracle.javaxide was needed and not found.
Extensions Cache - The module named oracle.ide was needed and not found.
Actions Bridge - The module named oracle.javatools was needed and not found.
Actions Bridge - The module named oracle.ide was needed and not found.
Any idea why I'm getting this message? I installed it on my laptop with no problem. What is the directory structure under you SQLDeveloper directory?
Is should be something like tthe list below. If it isn't something has gone wrong with your extraction.

This could occur if the JDBC driver is not in the weblogic.class.path.
If this is a type-2 JDBC driver, it may also indicate that

This is most likely caused by one of the following:
1. The native layer SO, SL, or DLL could not be found.
2. The file permissions on the native layer SO, SL, or DLL
