Eclipse plugins for web development
Hi guys,
I am a .net/LAMP developer and new to Java development. I am going to start my first Java project which will be a web app using the following stuff
1. JSF (may be MyFaces, not yet decided)
2. Spring
3. Hibernate
4. Ant
5. JUnit
6. Log4J
7. Tomcat
8. AJAX
The IDE will be Eclipse. I am now looking for plugins (either Free or not) for the above stuff. What plugins do you guys recommend?
Thanks.
Michael
Hi,
May be you can try myEclipse plugin for eclipse, this is an commercial
plugin with 29$ yealy subscription. This has all the stuff you are looking for.
(AJAX is still not present in myEclipse).
Thanks

Best Eclipse for Web development
I am going to download Eclipse and was wondering which one is the best for Web development on Tomcat?
Eclipse IDE for Java Developers
Eclipse IDE for Java EE Developers // I assume this is best for web development?
Eclipse Classic 3.3.1.1hi,
Not only Eclipse,
Netbeans,
IntellijIdea is also there, but it comes under licence,
so what you feel is better, use that IDE.. -
Best program for web development?
Hello everyone
I was just wondering what is in your opinion the best tool for creating web based applications (or even desktop based applications).
I have used Jdeveloper and Dreamweaver before and Jdeveloper had a lot more functionality out of the box but Dreamweaver seemed to give me more freedom (especially when working with the design part of my page).
Also Jdeveloper is a lot more complex but I think without fully understanding every aspect of it you can develop some pretty nifty applications. My main gripe is the deployment which has to have the same version of weblogic and Jdeveloper and you have to install Jdeveloper on the server (the weblogic server alone isn't enough) to support ADF etc.
I don't have experience in the other ones (NetBeans, Eclipse, Visual Studio etc)
So the question is which is the best for web development: Visual Studio, Jdeveloper, Apex, Dreamweaver, NetBeans, IntelliJ, Eclipse etc???Dreamweaver is for the view part only, as in the (X)HTML and CSS stuff. You aren't going to do Java development using Dreamweaver.
There is no definitive answer to your question as you are basically asking this: what are my personal preferences? Nobody can answer that, only you. So there is nothing you can do but download everything you want to try and actually do that: try it out. See what feels good and what doesn't. Only then will you be able to make a choice.
All I can give you at this point in time is MY personal preferences, which do not have to be the same as yours at all. I use Eclipse for full blown JavaEE development because there are a few plugins available for Eclipse that are not available for Netbeans that I really like and use to good effects (mostly related to JBoss). For everything else however, which includes Swing development, game development and plain Java web development I use Netbeans because to me it is a more "polished" product where things such as Subversion and Maven integration just work without conflicts. -

Dear All,
In search for a simulation environment for java card applet development I tried to use Eclipse plugin for JCOP tools.
The samples which comes with the JCOP tools works fine but when try to debug my applet I receive the error: Wrong Data 6A 80.

Unable to install Eclipse Plugin for Azure
I am unable to install the Eclipse Plugin for Azure. I have Eclipse Indigo and have installed the Azure SDK 2.3. When I try to add the site http://dl.msopentech.com/eclipse in the Install New Software window I get an authentication pop-up.
When I try my Microsoft ID it fails authentication. The instructions do not mention any authentication. What should I put in here?Hi,
This plugin requires Azure SDK 2.3. This can be downloaded using the Web Platform Installer (WebPI) at
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=252838. However, if you don’t have it installed, when you create your first Azure deployment project, the plugin will automatically install
Azure SDK 2.3.
Also, you could download the sdk from GitHub (https://github.com/MSOpenTech/WindowsAzureToolkitForEclipseWithJava ) and manually install . And you could refer to this blog
(http://java.interoperabilitybridges.com/cloud ).
Please try it.

Will

ABAP + BSP plugin for Netweaver Developer Studio
Hallo,
does an ABAP + BSP plugin for Netweaver Developer Studio exist? Or is considered to be developed in future?
Best regards,

One Finger Zoom Plugin For Web & Photo Browser - M...

One Finger Zoom Plugin For Web & Photo Browser - Multitouch Alternative?
one finger multittouch for 5800xm and n97 very simple to implement zoom/rotate control by doubletapping you set a control point and when you drag the control takes efect need just one hand to controll (multitouch needs two hands to control - you have to hold the device with other hand
develope it now and upload it to Ovi store, make it free or donationwareYou can listen to whomever you wish.
But here's why I'm telling you what I am.
I've been doing this type of thing with still images from a Nikon D200 and now D300 and intercutting them to a video shot with a HVX200, and now HPX170 and HMC150 for more than three years.
FCP does not have the controls to achieve a professional result.
More than that, its ease in/out controls jump the image and provide sparse control over the areas of interest and the zoom/pans, among other things.
I love Noise Industries products. I've tested this one. It's better than some.
But the interface isn't conducive to a good workflow, and you need to render to see results.
I respect David's opinions on just about everything.
But I have tried just all of them - FCP, AE, Motion, Still Life, Moving Picture, PhotoToMovie, Lyric Media's product, and this one from Niclas's NI collection, etc.
FotoMagico is inexpensive and produces far better results than anything I've seen. And it is so much easier and intuitive to use.
And I always watch Boise State football. -

Best book for Web Developer learning flash
I've gotten far on my own just using online tutorials and dinking around in Flash on my own but my boss(es) are starting to ask for more complex stuff that I simply can't learn by just piecing together my Flash education.
I know there's many, many books out there that will teach you Flash but can anyone recommend any particular one(s) that are more concentrated in creating Web elements as opposed to game or animation development?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.I hope this link would be helpful for you books For web developer Using Flash by "William Sanders"

Hello,
I am a web developer developing intensive web apps using Java, JavaScript, LifeRay, MySQL etc. It means I have many things going on on my laptop like:
- IDE for editing the code
- MySQL server
- HTTP server to run developed apps
- Many browser windows to test the app
I am looking for a main development machine that will be fast for my needs plus that can be used while commuting so portability is important for me.
440s looks like a good machine BUT I am not sure about low powered intel CPU. This is exact model I am looking into: ThinkPad T440s 14" / i5-4210U 1.7 GHz / 8 Gt / 256 Gt SSD
1.7 GHz sounds very limiting. My current laptop has 2.5 GHz speed and browser windows are opened very fast. But if I try to slow down the CPU to 1.7 GHz similar to T440s browser windows starts to open with considerable annoying delays.
Ofcourse when slowing down CPU I also disable Turbo Boost.
Now the question: Is T440s good for web development with liferay etc? Will turbo boost solve the problem of slow opening chrome windows I experienced with another 1.7 GHz laptop? Generally, anyone have similar experience with this laptop? Any help will be appreciated.I hope this link would be helpful for you books For web developer Using Flash by "William Sanders"

Good afternoon everyone.
I am beginner and I've been reading about the eclipse plugin for SAP MII.
And I was with some doubt someone could help me?
1) This plugin is paid?
2) With the plugion I can have all the features that the SAP MII Workbench?
3) How can I get this plugin?
Thank U.Hi Carlos,
It should be available on your eclipse through this menu:
I have tried to find it but it's not available. This could be due to many reasons but I think it could be that:
a) I'm running Eclipse Luna so it might be possible that it is not listed because I'm using an unsupported version.
b) I don't have the correct marketplace in my list of available marketplaces and I should add the correct one. This one doesn't look likely but I can't tell for sure.
c) It has been discontinued and is no longer available for download in which case we won't be able to find it.
If I find out what the problem was I'll let you know.
Kind regards,
Ibai -
Hi,
Is there any Flex plugin for Eclipse which has features like
syntax coloring, auto-suggestion and compilation for
actionscript and mxml. I tried using ASDT but it isn't of much
help. It supports only syntax coloring. Writing action script code
in plain editor is sometimes a very big pain.
Thanks,
Ashish AbrolYou can download the Eclipse plugin for Flex in the Adobe
Website. Then in Eclipse you have to configure the editor's section
and select the mxml and as extensions to be edited with the Flex
plugin, that way you will have syntax coloring and
auto-suggestion
